If you drop the federal tax on gas "whenever the national average gas price exceeds $3.00 per gallon," what incentive would there be for retailers to ever drop the average price below $3.00 per gallon?

Here is what I see in the future.... If gas prices go up to a point where no one can afford it, there will be numerous crimes and riots. The bible says we are living in the last days. I'm not a believer, but if our government don't give a shit about America, then there will be a last day for freedom in America.

  6. Gas Price Relief

Over in the south we are paying $4.25 for regular unleaded. The cost of diseal fuel is just another .50 to .75 cents. If gas prices continue to rise which they will, people will have to make changes in their daily routine. No more extra trips to the mall or grocery store. Heck, I even stop going to the gym after work because it's not on my way back home. I recently read bicycle stores are seeing and influx of sales along with scooters, and car-pooling. Lifestyles are changing because of this. I wonder how far it will go.
