Lew Rockwell: What is Ron Paul’s Legacy?

Juniejune interviewed Ron Paul’s former congressional chief of staff and consultant Lew Rockwell in San Francisco on Wednesday, May 21, 2008. After expressing his belief in the futility of efforts to take over the Republican Party, Lew Rockwell talks about the legacy of Ron Paul:

The Ron Paul legacy is huge and lasting. He’s introduced hundreds of thousands of young people, and some of us middle and older age people, to the ideas of liberty in a way that I’ve never seen in my lifetime.

Whether we talk about interesting people in the depredation of the Federal Reserve, the fiat money system, the horrible wars that the US wages in Iraq and Afghanistan and all over the world, the horrible spending, and the regulation, the taxation, all the monstrosities that takes place in the district of criminals, Ron Paul has awakened Americans to all these like nothing before and I think that it’s probably going to take 5 or 10 years before we really see the effects of this legacy but I think they are going to be huge and I think they can change this country!

  1. I cannot attend the march but I sure wish I could. I have posted a note and link on my site and I am emailing all my friends. The media is trying desperately to hide Ron Paul. Educate your friends. We Americans aren't hearing about him on the controlled media.

  2. It's way too soon to talk about Ron Paul's "legacy"! I'm convinced that Dr. No still has quite a few surprises up his sleeves.
