Poll: What Should Ron Paul Do Now?

Total votes: 3,108
The poll was open from June 6 – June 11
Let’s make our voices heard!
Now that the Republican primaries are over, the suspense continues to build over what Ron Paul is going to do next.
- Will he stay in the race for the Republican nomination and continue his efforts to take back the GOP?
- Will he relaunch his campaign and run as an independent or third party candidate?
- Will he drop out and endorse either John McCain, Bob Barr, Chuck Baldwin or Barack Obama?
During the Republican primaries Ron Paul often said that he had no plans to run as an independent. But plans can change, and Americans need Ron Paul more than ever:
- The economy has deteriorated and the Federal Reserve continues to print more and more money, further devaluing our dollar in the process.
- Illegal aliens continue to invade this country, slowly but surely turning it into a third-world nation that will be increasingly vulnerable to attacks on its sovereignty.
- We’re headed for more wars and destruction now that even Obama, the hope of many peace-loving individuals, has shown his true colors by trying to out-warmonger McCain and threatening Iran with a nuclear first strike.
America needs a real anti-war candidate who offers actual solutions to our economic problems, instead of mesmerizing people with abstract concepts such as “change” and “hope”.

Ron Paul should “(s)tay in the Republican race and continue efforts to take back the GOP”. However, there should be a switch in focus on the end result. Ron Paul should build the movement he is part of. He will not win the presidential election but he can become the leader of a new movement within the United States. One of the first steps to make this happen is to have his name read on election day as the candidate with the most votes outside of the two frontrunners.
[Reply]
I want him to continue to educate the masses..He is needed and wanted more by the day. Can not stop, ever.
[Reply]
He should go around campaigning with other real conservatives, not neocons, to get them elected to important offices such as the house & senate, as well as state & local government positions. It takes having the right people in power at multiple levels to create the kind of massive policy change Ron Paul revolutionaries desire.
[Reply]
I think Ron Paul should keep doing what he is doing. I realize that he will not get the Republican nomination; however, he has done so much to get the revolution started and must not stop now! THANK YOU RON!
[Reply]
“Will he relaunch his campaign and run as an independent or third party candidate?” … hahaha.. good one. He’d need a real billionaire to buy ballot access in all states, buy a real campaign staff (instead of the joke that he had in the primaries) and buy TV ad time. i.e. it’s not going to happen. It’s about as likely as the GOP suddenly realizing their nominee is a loser and choosing Paul as their nominee. HA!
[Reply]
Dr. Paul should continue his campaign until the convention, spreading the message as he goes. He should then serve as philosophical guide to the movement his campaign has tapped into, with an eye to developing it for the future.
It is very important that he not run as an independent, and it is also very important that he not become the “leader” of a movement. He should remain as a focal point and a lightning rod, but no more. He should return to the congressional floor and continue as he has. If he is still around in 2012, he should run again or at least be part of the campaign of whatever candidate is then part of this “true conservative” movement.
I am someone who greatly admires the man and his message, but would never vote for him. As far as I can tell, I am one of those “Leftist Libertarians” and thus do not see eye to eye with the great Dr. Paul.
[Reply]
[o] Other – Stay in the running and wait for J McC it implode, go senile or some other such (nearly) inevitable pre-election consequence. The R’s know that Dr. Paul is a money getter and would be strong competition to BO.
[Reply]
Run as an independent. My whole family will vote for him and all of our friends. We did not understand why he had not changed his party before this point in time.
[Reply]
Don’t quit now Ron, we know the news media has snubbed you along with others like Hunter & Tancredo. It is a fat cat controlled election. I have said before, do something drastic like challenging both candidates to a debate and ridicule them if they ignore you.
If nothing else, spit on them.
They are so many like me who are completely disgusted by the media picks.
Come on, is this the best America has to offer?
BTW if Obama is not a Marxist, then I don’t know what one is.
[Reply]
If he does end up dropping and endorsing anyone, it should be McCain, for all that (most of us) despise the neo-cons, the damage McCain will do is nothing compared to the damage Obama will do. Plus, depending on who McCain selects as his running mate, we can always hope McCain dies shortly after the election (given his poor health).
I love this country more than I hate the neo-cons so I’m not going to risk Obama taking office.
[Reply]
I find it sad that so many think Ron Paul should endorse Obama. It shows that those people truly do not understand the issues before us and the fact that Obama’s views run counter to the conservative and libertarian views of Ron Paul. Obama wants to increase the size of government, increase regulations and control, and continue our current economic policies. He also fails to understand the fundamental shift required in our foreign policy to achieve true stability and prosperity for our country as well as the rest of the world.
Contrary to what many think, the war is NOT the central issue of the Ron Paul campaign — though it is a major one. If you do not understand this, please read Ron Paul’s book (”Revolution: A Manifesto”) to get a clear picture of Ron Paul’s philosophy and views. It is far more comprehensive than just a few opinions on current events. It is a philosophy on which to base the whole of our government. In fact, it is the very foundation on which our country was founded.
[Reply]
Stay in the Republican Party, rebuild it. start with the club level up to the county, state, and national. This country is a 2 party system, that has been proven over and over. I say take the Republican Party, bit by bit just like we lost it.
[Reply]
as mccain continues to come off as a total boob more people are going to question why anyone should back him. the problem is that the powers that be don’t really care whether it’s obama or mccain as long as whoever is in office will continue down the same ruinous path we are on and both obama and mccain will do just that. it has often been said that there really isn’t much difference between obama and mccain so the elitist oligarchy will maintain the benefits they so desire no matter which of the two is in the white house. we know that we need to take our country back and we need to make sure others become informed and educated as to what has really been going on with the CFR, the NAU/SPP the NWO, the FEDERAL RESERVE, THE TRILATERAL COMMISION etc.. before this election season many of us myself included, really had no idea of the corruption that is so pervasive. we learned and others will soon learn too. no one likes to be made a fool of and we have all been fooled for way too long. whatever ron paul decides to do will be what he thinks is best and i have total trust and faith in him and his decisions. this revolution will never end we can’t allow it to. we all know that the internet is our biggest tool for getting and spreading the truth but i read recently that by 2012 we will no longer have the opportunity to access the truth the way we do now as the internet will be much like the MSM full of half truths and subterfuge so we have less than 4 years to get people to wake up. RON PAUL deserves so much respect and thanks for trying so hard to save AMERICA from the arrogant fascists hell bent on taking our freedoms away.
[Reply]
Endorse McCain or Obama? Are you kidding me.
Neither of those two are in line with Ron Paul’s ideals.
Ron Paul needs to stay in the race as a true Republican. We can’t let the neo-cons continue to control the conservative party.
I would like to see Barr and Baldwin team up. They don’t support each other’s ideals completely but I think they have enough common ground to work together.
[Reply]
It’s obviously Obama supporters, not Ron Paul supporters that vote for the Obama option. At least I hope so!!! Obama and McCain are more or less the same as far as their policies are concerned. It’s just that Obama is younger, more charismatic and a better manipulator. They are a “dream team” for the globalist elite because no matter who wins, they win.
[Reply]
The Republican party has left Ron Paul in the mud. His own party has diliberately made him out to be a “Whacko conspiracy theorist”. But, he wouldn’t be the only one. Several congressmen have left their congressional seats because of what the Bush Administration has done. I understand, he was re-elected as a republican in his 14th district, but with all the Republicans have done to him, It would the “right” thing to do if he ran as an “Independent”.
If Ron’s reading this, let me say this. Mr. Paul, if you were to run as an Independent, we will support you. And the money bombs will continue. We understand the challenge you would face, but money would not be one of them. I pledge to work harder than ever before to help you in any way I can.
I understand the need to end “Homeland Security, the Federal Reserve, un-necessary costly wars, and many departments controlled by the Federal Government. I understand the reasons even more.
[Reply]
I originally said stay with the GOP, but decided we have one chance and I’d love to see Ron, Bob Barr and Michael Savage join forces. We are 75 million strong in support of Savage. What a formidable force this would be and scare the devil out of the others. All three men are exceptional. Can any of the Ron Paul group talk to Savage? It’s something we should really try and arrange. At least give the three of them a platform to speak through. Now, the three are weak because the media is petrified of Savage and the media can individually tear the three apart so that’s how I see taking back our Nation, by using our might to force us back to the Constitution.
Savage wants to turn things around and this is a way to do it. They are close enough with their platforms that the three of them would be a tremendous force for the change we so terribly need.
[Reply]
Ron Paul should continue doing what he is doing. He doesn’t need to endorse anyone.
Republicans are going to get slaughtered in November. McCain is the worst candidate ever nominated by either party. Congressman Ron Paul will have more people listening to him than ever before.
I think the Ron Paul movement should organize a National Tax Strike next year. You know the first thing the Democrats will do next year is raise taxes.

Ron Paul should take PFMPE people for mathematically perfected economy as the only solution to current economics ills and win by the landslide. It is still the time to turn the economy on the dime and PFMPE is ready to do so now.

Since Paul wil appear on few ballots come November. His votes should not be wasted, on either of the two major party candidates.
Obliquily he should be endorsing Baar or at least telling his followers where to place their votes.
It is imperative that he stay within the Repubublican Party at all costs. He loses all power and all credibility outside the party.
I he had any chance of winning outside, I would say go for it. Since he no chance of an out and out victory, stay where he can do the most good.

Ron Paul should either run third party as an individual or actually team up with Bob Bar to combine efforts and funds. I know for certain I will NOT vote for McCaine, Hillary, or Obama and I will write in Ron Paul’s name if I have to.
[Reply]
Ron Paul should lead a more concerted third party effort based on his platform. Either join a similar one, or make his own. I’m tired of the pandering going back and forth between the republicans and democrats over what amounts to minute differences. I want a real alternative.
[Reply]
What Mr. Paul needs to do is get on the ballot (again) in all 50 states, it doesn’t matter what label he’s wearing.
[Reply]
I can not believe so many people who supposively support Ron Paul are wishing for him to support Barack Obama…wtf?
[Reply]
I think there is a need for a, for lack of a better term, “Constitutionalist” party to organize and promote the ideeas of freedom and limited government. Both of the major parties are, at this point, incapable of internal reform (witness the kind of treatment Ron Paul received from his “own”) and an infrastructure for permanent change needs to be developed. These ideas won’t win right away but presented by themselves they will have a kind of power they will never achieve if they are wedded to the current two party structures. I can concieve of a future where history books will write about Republicans like they do of “Whigs” and so tying ourselves to that sinking log seems unwise.
[Reply]
RON PAUL SHOULD “STAY” IN AS THE REPUBLICAN HE IS, OR AS AN INDEPENDENT.
EITHER WAY, THE MAN IS AS VIABLE A CANDIDATE, AND MORE SO, AS EITHER OF THE “TWO” FAVORITES IN OBAMA AND HILLARY AND NO ONE IS TRULY THRILLED WITH EITHER OF THEM. ON ELECTION DAY, IF RON PAUL CONTINUES TO GET HIS MESSAGE OUT THERE, THEN YOU WILL SEE A LOT OF PEOPLE, WHO ARE STILL VERY MUCH UNDECIDED, VOTING FOR DR. PAUL.
IT IS SELF-EVIDENT, AT THIS POINT, THAT MCCAIN DOES NOT STAND A CHANCE AGAINST HILLARY OR OBAMA.
RON PAUL IS A “WINNING” CANDIDATE ON EITHER TEAM, REPUBLICAN OR INDEPENDENT.
EITHER WAY, HE HAS MY VOTE AND COME VOTING DAY, HE WILL HAVE THE “WINNING” VOTE.
[Reply]
Re: Savage.
A Constitutionalist body needs thinkers not bomb throwers. Savage is a political arsonist and I believe he would repel many millions of people who would open to the message presented in passionate yet educated and thoughtful ways.
[Reply]
i agree with NEVER MCCAIN, Dr. Paul should continue to educate the masses
[Reply]
If Dr. Paul will continue to lead the movement I think we should continue working just as we are now now and plan for the next presidential election. Just look at what we have done in a few short months but more than that, the economy will be in shambles by then and everyone will be genuinely looking for what Dr. Paul is offering; a path out of the economic recession or depression we no doubt will be in. Dr. Paul has committed to continuing to lead, four years will pass anyway and very quickly, so let’s role up our sleeves and continue to go about the awakening of America. I will write in Dr. Paul come election day and hope everyone will.
On another subject, is there a national registry or means otherwise to commuicate and network with Ron Paul supporters across the country? If not do you think one is needed? It seems to me that a means to monitor our national progress, communicate, organize, network, and watch our numbers grow would be vital to the momentum of this movement. If anyone has any information or idea’s on this please advise with a post here.
See you in Washington July 12th!
[Reply]
I believe Dr. Paul should start actively recruiting and funding republican candidates for congressional seats. He’s shown that he can get large numbers of us to spend for his books and his campaign.
A well funded congressional campaign can cost somewhere in the neighborhood of 5 million dollars (2 for primary, 3 for election). If a million Ron Paul supporters each gave $5, you would have a fully funded campaign. Given the numbers of people who spent $15 to $20 dollars to buy Dr. Paul’s book, I don’t think this is an unreasonable idea.
Look at the (negative) influence that Tom Delay was able to wield in congress through his ability to provide and withhold fund raising monies. Look at the influence special interests are able to wield through their campaign contributions.
Could Ron Paul best influence the Republican congress and promote his ideas this way? Money talks.
I hereby pledge to donate at least $5 to any candidate for national office who is endorsed by Ron Paul, so long as it is made absolutely clear that Ron Paul is the reason she/he is getting my money.
[Reply]
Go independent Dr. Paul. PLEASE. I’m all for taking back the GOP but we DON’T HAVE TIME. This may be our last election.
Please take the chance, sir. If any of the top 3 win, we’ve lost our country. We needed an education campaign 10 years ago. Now, we need a leader who will put this country back on the right path. We are in the 11th hour with a full fledged police state at our doorstep. I’m begging you with everything I have. We have supported you, heaven knows how many “lists” we are on. You may lose your Congressional seat- but what good is that anyway if we have martial law imposed? Even not in Congress, your voice will remain powerful. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE….
[Reply]
If we are to give peace a chance we need a president that is diplomatic. Ron Paul is the only one of the candidates that is NOT a war junkie. We need peace to get our country’s broken economy back on its feet. WE need more LEADERS like Ron Paul. No More War!!!!!
[Reply]
I agree Ron Paul should run as an Independent now!
[Reply]
I think he should run down Constitution Ave. in a pair of speedos and a cowboy hat. Maybe then he’d get the sort of national media attention he deserves. “Hi. I am Ron Paul, and I just ran past the President.”
[Reply]
Bob Barf is a neocon. He voted FOR the patriot act, FOR illegal wars of aggression, worked in the CIA for nearly 10 years and was a drug war prosecutor.
Bob Barf is the antithesis to everything Ron Paul stand for.
[Reply]
Stay in as the Republican that we are. What happens if (God willing) the front runner becomes unable to continue? Ron Paul. We arent leaving our country just because they cheat so why leave the party? It is ours and they stole it. We will stand our ground and fight for what is right. But Ron… HOW ABOUT GETTING A LITTLE FIRED UP? These guys are crooks and murderers and working on unconstitutional laws. Doesnt that bother you as much as us? They killed 3000 people by plan on 9/11. Get Mad. They have killed over 1.5 million in Iraq based on LIES. GET MAD! Heck, hers a plan- Lets all just move to Texas and secceed.

I hope Mr. Paul stays in the race as an Independent or Third Party candidate. I just got done reading Mr. Paul’s book and thought it was a breath of fresh air. Whatever he does, I think his ideas need more exposure.

Ron, PLEASE run as a 3rd party candidate. The Democrats are getting 30% of the electorate. The Republicans are getting 30% of the electorate. 40% of us are independents and we have no candidate. You are our candidate. This is the perfect time for you to run. You offer all the best things of both the Democrats and Republicans. You are such a great speaker. You will inspire so many people to vote for you. You can change this country in such a monumental way. There has never been such a perfect time for a third party candidate to run. PLEASE Dr. PAUL, PLEASE RUN AS A THIRD PARTY CANDIDATE. YOU WILL REVOLUTIONIZE AMERICAN POLITICS.

STAY IN LIKE HE PROMISED until the RNC in September!!!
We NEED Ron as our standard bearer until then!!! We took a bad enough hit on super tuesday and have just only recently bounced back and have our core intact – dropping out Monday (like the scuttlebutt going around those ‘in the know’) will have a devastating effect on the R3VOLUTION, and I believe it will totally wipe out any kind of large numbers we are working up to attend the DC March in July!!!!!
THERE NEEDS TO BE A MASSIVE BARRAGE OF COMMUNICATIONS TO THE NATIONAL CAMPAIGN FOR RON TO CONTINUE. Tell him if it’s the money and whatever he wants to do with it – FINE! We’ll GIVE him another $5 Million to play with later IF HE JUST STAYS IN THE RACE UNTIL THE RNC.
I feel like the Wicked Witch of the West after jumping into the pool!
!!!!!!!!!!!!HELP!!!!!!!!!!!

Stay until the Convention, and then run as an Independent. Is that possible? Is there enough time?
[Reply]
I’m thinking of a Paul/Ventura independent run.
Are there rumors that Ron Paul will drop out? I’m sure that he will make a different announcement. It will be an even bigger surprise, thanks to the rumors (which I haven’t heard by the way).
[Reply]
This is a tuff call, it seems like every election that the nominee for each side gets all of the delegates. I would say stay in the run, McCain is a real joke…being from AZ I know that he has done nothing as a senator and will continue to do nothing as a president. The American public will vote for the change we need and that is going to be Ron Paul leading that charge. No more war! Lets get America back to that wonderful place everyone wanted to live. I am declaring now that if Ron Paul is not elected as VP, at the least, I will be moving my family to Mexico.
[Reply]
I’m kind of surprised that so many Paul supporters want him to endorse Obama, but not shocked. I myself am teetering on voting for Obama in the general election (if Paul drops out of course). The reason is his stance on the war. The war is my primary concern right now. My husband proudly serves in the military as does his brother, so the war is something close to our hearts (and daily life). I’m also tremendously concerned about the economy and I realize that Paul & Obama couldn’t be more different on fiscal matters, and the size of the government. I’m a Repulican and am in favor of smaller more localized government, and dream of the day when our government can be responsible for its spending.
With that said, if Paul stays in the campaign he is in a sense helping out Obama because he will be taking votes away from John McCain and I’m not sure that’s a bad thing.
Meanwhile, I’m hoping that Paul will stay in the campaign to feed this revolution he’s started…to give us hope and to give us someone we can VOTE for. Someone for us to believe in, and someone worthy of our vote, not just a means to vote against another person…but someone we can in good conscience vote for and know it’s not just the lesser of the evils.
Hopefully (if nothing else) this will pave the way for future revolutionary candidates.
[Reply]
Looks like this country wants communism, social, facism. If they want to vote for idiots who will enslave them, guess we all have to go down with them. Just wish they would just leave and ruin someone else’s country. Thanks for making a difference Ron Paul. I can’t believe this election!!!!!!!! I VOTED FOR YOU AND WILL WRITE IN FOR YOU ON THE BALLOT in NOV. Refuse to vote for M or O! O will win because the Reps are split from rino’s/neo’s and true conservatives! Guess we will have the call to Mecca 5 x/day! More illegals, NAIS, PINs, RFID, REAL ID, Muslim male 25-45 hijackers and little old ladies getting frisked before boarding planes.
[Reply]
The globalist elite has been pressuring Ron Paul to drop out. Well, he should grant them their wish… drop out of the Republican race and immediately launch a new campaign as an Independent!
[Reply]
People in this country are at an end. They look to the president for leadership and direction. In the last seven years we have no leadership and we have been going in the wrong direction. The democrats came to washington a year ago saying we are going to change that. They got on the Bush wagon and now they are part of the problem. We need someone who understands that the strenght of a country is not its military but its economy. Our debt is near ten trillion, dollar worthless, no jobs, 20 million illegals, a misdirected war, a bad trade policy, no energy policy, gasoline
4$ gallon, etc. This country is going to hell in a handbag. I believe Ron Paul is the only one who knows how and has the guts to change Washington.
[Reply]
Mr. Paul if you are going to stay in and I hope you do, you have to run as a republican! No, independent has ever been elected president. I am talking about recent history not the late 1700’s. The people barely understand the two party system, let alone the ones who think they live in a democracy, when it says in our pledge of allegiance that we are a republic. I just wish more people were aware of you, every time I bring you up it’s WHO! Or, I didn’t know about Ron Paul till brought it up! But, seriously, following the constitution is the only way to keep we as a country moving forward, back to backing our money with precious metal, not trying to impose our way of thinking on other countries developing our own renewable resources, I am sure the combustion engine could be modified to run on just about anything! Keeping our noses out of other peoples and countries was a staple of our way of life! I am all for closing bases abroad and bring them home to protect our borders if that what it takes. If people from other countries want to come here that’s good but they have to do it legally so they can contribute to the common good like all Americans!
[Reply]
It is quite clear to me that the only way Ron has a chance is to get all the right-wing radio guys (who truth be told can’t stand the idea of supporting McCain) to get completely behind him.
ARE YOU LISTENING RUSH, HANNITY, INGRAHAM, MEDVED, LEVINE.
DID I MISS ANYONE?
IS THERE A BETTER, MORE REALISTIC APPROACH?
[Reply]
Ron Paul should go further Republican this year and try for the Republican nomination again in 2012, presumably against Barack Obama. If Barack Obama takes the Iraq War off the table effectively, then Ron Paul will not be such a contrevorsial figure in the G.O.P. 2012 primaries, Ron Paul will sweep them, and actually be the Republican nominee in 2012. Ron Paul isn’t so bad for Republicans with the war issue off the table in 2012, I believe.
[Reply]
Ron paul is the only real republican running so he should not drop out. The same thing took place with Lincoln, he went to the convention with less than 1/3 of all the delegates and ended up being nominated. It just takes one slip up from the already unstable McCain.
Ron Paul has a message for the people of the United States of America, that message is Freedom and Liberty. Real freedom and liberty not what you see on TV or in the newspaper. America is not free any more. The fed taps your phones, spies on you and gives you no real leader to vote for, just person after person who will continue their tyrannical agenda. If you want to see a truly free America ensure that you and everyone you know does not vote for McCain or Obama. Spread the word and watch the revolution as it unfolds.
[Reply]
Congressman Paul should run as a third party. I’m sure that Baldwin would think about dropping out to endorse Paul. I think the Libertarian Party would take a second look at supporting Paul. I would love to see a Paul/Ruwart Independant ticket.
[Reply]
Dr. Paul should very publicly announce McCain as an empty suit and challenge him to prove he is not a puppet in a live public discussion. McCain’s live Tuesday speech showed just how poor a spokesman he is, and the media’s complete failure to show any clips of it demonstrate just how inve$ted they are in him.
Dr. Paul announced some time ago that of the other 3 candidates, he preferred Barack Obama. If he were to endorse anyone, it should only be Obama and it should only occur right after he was announced as Obama’s VP.
[Reply]
I pray that Ron Paul should stay until the end. I don’t have any faith in McCain. He is looking out for the globalist elite ( One World Goverment). Ron Paul is looking out for this Nation.

Endorse an Ideal not a candidate.
Endorse “that major candidate who will bring small government.”
Granted, it means McCain, but let the media make that assumption. It will be far more powerful a statement than a direct endorsement and it will protect you for 2012.
[Reply]
I’d love for Ron to run independent or third party but I think it’s too late for that. Both the Libertarians and Constitutionalists have their nominees. I know of no other party that would suit him. Unfortunately running independent isn’t much of an option in our current situation. Ballot access is simply unavailable and would be too much of a challenge to acquire at this point.
Instead I feel he should focus his efforts into creating either a new political organization that operates party independent or perhaps even a new party unto itself. This group would be committed to finding or running liberty candidates and generating support for their campaigns.
[Reply]
I threw Hillary a few bucks during the primaries, and now that she’s probably out of the picture (unless the Super Delegates come to their senses ), I’d be willing to do the same for a good, strong 3rd Party candidate!
We need the message to continue to be heard. I say GO FOR IT, but hurry up and get the campaign off the ground, so that you can gather some momentum.
I’m DEFINITELY in!!

Calling all Ron Paul supporters!
Let’s start today…RIGHT NOW…to persuade as many people as possible to WRITE IN Ron Paul’s name on the November ballot. Our goal, in short, will be for Ron Paul to win the popular vote for U.S. President.
A wise person once said that if you want something badly enough, you can find a way to make it happen.
IT CAN HAPPEN.
WRITE IN RON PAUL FOR PRESIDENT IN ‘08!!
Winner of the vote of THE PEOPLE.

I agree Cassandra Bachrach, but we can’t write in in Hawai’i. Our Supreme Court even back up the Democratic legislature on that.
Doesn’t really matter, our 4 electorial votes will go to whomever wins most of the popular vote. This could back fire of course. Hawai’i is supporting Obama around 70%. So if Ron Paul could just win the most votes, he’d win Hawai’i too.
Idiots!
If you have signed, send a message to the GOP:

I’m not certain if the Good Doctor can switch parties easily at this point. I read somewhere and even heard Paul state that doing this would be intensively time-consuming and costly.
My push to elect him by popular vote is only to show the bureaucracy that THE PEOPLE WILL BE HEARD!!! This country is a REPUBLIC. That means that we elect people that WE CHOOSE TO REPRESENT US, versus what’s happening right now. What’s happening now is covert operations including “buying” presidencies and other offices. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. Let’s take back the process. Even if Paul does not become President by electoral votes, he’ll always be the REAL CHOICE OF ‘08 if we WRITE HIM IN. PLEASE, PEOPLE. WE MUST DO THIS. WRITE IN RON PAUL ‘O8.

i find even having this poll offensive-however
i believe Ron Paul and his supporters should continue as far and for as long as they can.
i believe this will truly be a summer of discontent.
the freedom march will show the national support for real change and make the republicans take notice of whts needed and its not Mcinsane
Ron Paul should be at the convention and the nominees should abstain in the first round.
vote for Paul in the second.
you never know what might happen, Mccain might have to drop out due to health reasons, he may even be removed or discredited if the truth about him being a traitor finally comes out
Paul will be there if he does.
try keep the faith everyone, even talking of him stepping aside is sending the wrong message in my view
its the most worthwhile campaign this century
we should not let it fail
we may never get another chance to mount it.
Ron Paul is supporting us and putting himself in the firing line to help us, can we not do the same for him?
its not like we are alone or even that we are few, there are at least 1.5 million like minded voting people.
lets go all the way with RON PAUL like he has for us
please stay committed to this cause

Sorry to be persistent, but let the GOP know where you stand regarding Ron Paul:

Ron Paul should stay in the race and try to speak at the Republican Convention. Third Party runs/races don’t work. See the Bull Moose Party run (1012?), LaFollette “Progressive run” in 1928, Ross Perot ,1992, and Ralph Nadar 2004. Further, crossing party lines detracts from the message and collides with other people’s ” dirty linen.”
If the March on Washington actually takes place, main stream media will not be able to ignore that fact. It’s all in the numbers. This thrust of marchers will make people stand up, that is, the Media and the GOP and notice and should give him a shot at influencing the platform as a speaker. His voice cannot go ignored forever.
Who knows there may even be a revolt withinin the GOP itself since this ” controlled Dictatorship” of ” combined self-interest money groups and leftist forces” `should not be allowed to continue.
Let’s take back our freedom and put down the controlled press through legal action resulting in punitive monetary action. That much they will understand. Regards, EMilio Cinelli

I think he should run 3rd party or independent if the GOP is too stupid to nominate him at the convention. While I see mentions of past failed runs like such, this year is different. Past attempts have been made while both parties were strong. This is not the case this year.
You can count on a GOP and democrat candidate. Now, if Ron Paul enters and it’s a 3 way race then he could win the election with only 34% of the vote. That is of course if the other 2 parties split the vote. The GOP being weaker you can expect more democrats than republicans, so realistically he needs a bit more than that. However, many who support Hillary might go to McCain which splits the democrats as well. It is also well known that Ron Paul gets many independent and democrat votes, so it won’t be only votes taken from McCain that he gets.
If there was ever a year when a independent or 3rd party candidate could pull it off it would be this year. And if there were every a candidate who could do it, it would be Ron Paul. People are anxious to hear the truth these days, and unlike the other candidates once someone understands the truth then they don’t go back to supporting the other guys.

Personally I think he should just travel and speak. He has a following now, so I think the best thing for him to do is just go on tour, essentially. Organized speeches and protests all over the country.

Hi All,
I think it would be best to trust Dr. Paul’s judgment. He is the overall fast-track to honest, conservative, no-compromise R3VOLution. Though it won’t happen over night, it will be a relatively fast win now, and there is the rest of the world to think on, …
Please, let me expand on that a bit. All along through this thing, Dr. Paul’s proven wisdom has kept the course unwaveringly. He has intentionally stood behind the momentum of benevolent human nature as it sweeps through this evolutionary time on Earth. Even he was astonished at the power of the Internet, & the millions of minds who share the essential message. And his calm, experienced, objective, sublime manner of delivering it en-masse, has meant that the ideas of minimal gun-backed gov’t conservatism are even still gaining accelerating momentum, worldwide.
For my part, I am in Nova Scotia, in what I refer to as Red Canaduh these days. I see first-hand the destructiveness of a secretive, self-serving, dishonest gov’t headed more toward death-oriented totalitarianism, than toward life. I am dadgummit glad the tapeworms don’t produce our shoes, or our computers. We’d all be barefoot up here in the snow, waiting for our lil’ Chinese-bought gov’t-issued, sponge-soled shoes, with no communication to the outside world ~ for a long time, just like the 6-12 months wait time we now have for health care, & justice through the courts, in each province. Everything they touch either disintegrates or turns to stone; their results could never be more conspiratorial, even IF they weren’t intentional. This is the nature of invalid, value-destructive ancient concept of artificial border politics that we still play at.
Free enterprise alone is our salvation; our means to peaceful evolution. In it, we have the necessary vehicle, (w/ incentive, means, technology, & reward,) to successfully out-compete to produce net-values, while all other humanoid endeavours through gov’t, religion, or non profits (altruism) always only ever destroy ~ … ALL they touch. Challenge this, & I’ll refer you to follow the money, (today, none of which is retained by its creative originating producers.)
Competition only exists in business & nature, & it is the only thing that keeps humans energized, growing, balanced & honest ~ as it works only when it is totally voluntary, according to the prerogative & the inalienable right of conscious beings. Guns, fists, coercion & other defaults to the easy, boring, mystical sleights of hand under the pathological control of ego-filled, cheating second-handers now fails us, … while the absence of free-competition business on Earth predicts the demise of our grand children.
The non-lazy, creative, out-competing upstart is the gem & hero of all humanity, bringing cures, pleasure, growth, evolution, wealth, & abiding happiness to us all. And this occurs through mass marketing, man’s highest activity, which gives no quarter to humanoid self-pity, malicious envy, nor theft ~ including in honest elections.
Dr. Paul knows all this, & also that the Constitution needs amendments, as it has failed to keep the wild-eyed, feeding-frenzied parasites at bay. Mr Barr knows this too. Mr. Barr could plan to endorse Dr. Paul, as could the leaders of Constitutionalists, Natural Laws, Capitalists, Laissez Faires, Neo-Techs, Independents, many Dems & Reps, & any others. This is likely more realistic as a leveler to mcgain’s unearned sway in the immediate term. Competition is grand, as I said, & it wins the Reps back! But who really cares about the party (unless you depend on its largesse for your unearned livelihood); it is just the tool toward the only essentials of benevolent minimal human governance ~ limited to justice, constabulary, & defence. This is a big project, folks. The welfare state is the enemy of productive, moral conscious beings; just as those whom are dependent upon such a state are their own worst flagellants.
Frankly, I am frightened for Dr. Paul’s life. If he were to win, it would most certainly shorten his days, even simply statistically. I love this man, as we ought all such beneficients, & we ought to plan so that no harm comes to him, or any others who put themselves in such harm’s way while we benefit. Unlike our feckless opposers, we have the shoulders to protect ‘life indeed.’ I would rather see Dr. Paul become a Vice to mcgain than risk his life as did JFK. And I can see him being the creative boost to a Libertarian Pres. Barr, too, ~ as his Vice, even in a minority gov’t of some form, or vice versa. The R3volution would start to turn the tide under these conditions, but a mighty tide it faces, still.
I believe Dr. Paul sees 2012, or ’16, as the next year of a Rep. Prez, & I think he sees it as someone other than himself. The 4.5 ++ years now ’till then give ample opp. for enterprising honest conservative dynamics to take very deep root, assuring the outcome w/out the mainstream media, who will be progressively more & more laughed out of existence now. Bolstered by the house turnouts in 2010, things ought to be looking up there down there by the next election. Lucky you!
What about the world? I want Dr. Paul for next PM here! Many would say the same all over the globe. He might consider travelling beyond the scope of the West’s MSM, go influence billions, & move around without timidity within all the peoples of the world, while getting his book published in an endless variety of languages. They need the message of freedom too, to introduce it first among themselves if nothing else! Why not? It can only bode well if, say, Cuba went fully Mises/Austrian conservative! Them out-planning gov’t & exploding w/ productivity, or the Czech Rep, or Russia, or China, or Iran, or Sudan, or Venezuela, … or any, … or all, can only obsolete & collapse the anti-viva status quo agendas of the death-oriented ones earlier.
As I say, Dr. Paul’s wisdom is the fastest realistic track for all to obtain permanent, abiding happiness, as no place is insular any longer. I daresay, once planted somewhere, … anywhere, persuasive influences that would be mirrored to & fro’ Uncle Sam from other wards are just as valid as any from within borders ~ to the undecided or erring individuals everywhere that starve for their inalienable rights as conscious beings.

i think Ron Paul Should Stay in the race and continue efforts to take back the GOP or run as a 3rd party. Ron Paul Is the only person that can turn around crappy govenment!!!! and That is the truth
[Reply]
We need to take back the GOP.
[Reply]
RP should ask Bob Barr to take on Chuck Baldwin as his running mate so we’re not splitting our votes.
[Reply]
I agree that Ron Paul should continue to educate the American people. That is the key, to show people the truth. The question is however the best way to go about that.
I personally think the best way he can educate the people is to stay in the race and be a 3rd candidate. Why? There is all this corruption against him right? Nobody ever wins there right? It’s all biased against 3rd parties right?
That IS exactly the reason he should do it. Because every time the media has to show it’s hand and be biased, America just got an education. Every time the rules change, or the requirments needed changed after Ron Paul meets those challenges, America just got an education. Every time they try to silence Ron Paul and the people who support him, America just got an education.
The only way to educate people is to show them. And Ron Paul had done that this entire election. He showed positive proof that the media is biased, and blew away the fringe candidate excuse. He showed positive proof that the GOP no longer represents conservative values. He showed positive proof that the establishment is more worried about holding power for themselves than serving the American people. And it has worked. He has continued to climb the polls despite going against a very advanced manipulation machine.
The GOP and the neo-cons have been given their chances to get in line, and they have refused. They have told you straight to your face on multiple occasions that you don’t mean anything or matter. They even straight tell you – we don’t even want your vote. Why in the world should any of us stick around and support the same GOP that did nothing while Romney bought straw poll votes in florida, and has actively worked to silence us as much as possible?
The way I see it we tried the system and the system failed, not Ron Paul. I personally do not see how we are helping anything by trying to overtake a party in a 2 party system(1 party really). We would be merely helping to prop up a failed system, and the GOP with it’s recent history would be nothing more than putting concrete blocks around our ankles. They had their chance. If the GOP fails to wake up and nominate Ron Paul, then I will be done with the GOP period.
[Reply]
It’s probably a good strategy for Ron Paul to stay in the Republican race and shoot for the long game. However, I’ll be voting for him in November regardless of which box I have to check. I respect my vote too much to throw it away on one of the other “choices”.

To all interested parties.
Dr. Paul no longer has the option of running as a third party or independent candidate. The deadline to file as an independent or third party candidate has passed in most if not all states. The only option open to Dr. Paul at this point is to run as a Write-in on the Republican ticket. Most states allow for a Write-in for the party on which you ran in the primary. We need Dr. Paul to file as a Write-in in the states that have that provision.

While I support Dr. Paul almost 100%, suggesting he leave the mainstream GOP and venture off on his own would further alienate him. He is already perceived by many to be a nutcase – we don’t need to give any more ammunition to those folks. Not only that, he would likely lose his seat in the House in the next election were he to remove himself from the party, which would push him out of government entirely. This wouldn’t be a good plan.
Dr. Paul would have no chance of winning as a third party candidate and that’s something that we, as a minority voice for change in America, have to accept – for now.
[Reply]
RON PAUL MUST, MUST, MUST, MUST RUN AS AN INDEPENDENT, BECAUSE HE IS AN INDEPENDENT!!!
Let me explain:
To begin, the notion that the politics of this country are based on a two-party system is based on a great misunderstanding. The fact is that our politics emanate from a SINGLE PARTY, like two subsidiaries owned by a single parent company. When voters go to the polls to cast their vote for either mainstream party candidate, it is like a consumer purchasing a television from manufacturer A or manufacturer B, both of which are owned and controlled by the same parent corporation. It is a travesty and a farce!
I wholeheartedly applaud and commend Ron Paul’s desire to win back the Republican Party and to restore it to the place of integrity from which it has fallen. I support the “cleaning house” of those Republicans in office who do not uphold the values of their party and the restoration of our country’s foreign and domestic policies to those of our Founding Fathers.
This should be, and this will be.
However,
Attempting to win the vote from within a corrupted media-controlled, single-party system is not only improbable but simply illogical and a waste of social and financial resources.
The symbolism inherent in Dr. Pual’s run as an Independent candidate is PRICELESS!!!! And under the direction of a competently intelligent, creative, and resourceful campaign manager, his victory in the general election can all but be assured.
Consider this:
Ron Paul, Republican, the last true citizen-statesman, defender of our Constitution, champion of civil liberty and public empowerment, fierce proponent of government for the people by the people, is forced to run outside of the party to which he so sincerely and lovingly declares his allegiance because the political and ideological infrastructure of his party has suffered such great deterioration to its very foundation, that it is no longer functional and scarcely recognizable.
Let us not wait for the next election. The time to turn our country around is not in 2012. The time is NOW. Let us use the resources that we have available to us NOW and put them to full use NOW. Let us gather together with confidence, embracing the REALITY that public opinion can and does change with the direction of the winds. Let us get out there and INFORM our fellow Americans–to whatever extent they each may be capable of understanding at present–of Ron Paul’s dream for America, of the truth behind the mainstream candidates’ common agenda, of the staggering consequences that can and will result if ANYONE other than Dr. Paul is elected to the White House in November.
Let us forgive our fellow Americans for blindly following the call of the mainstream media and for not daring to introspect or inspect or question. Let us look only to the bright and beautiful future that awaits us on the dawning of a new political, economic, and social era that is characterized by education, empowerment, freedom, and common love among the people of the United States of America.
Get up and do it! And speak with your loudest voice to encourage Dr. Paul to put his financial, social, and political resources to use by running as an Independent, outside of the corrupted single-party system. Speak with your loudest voice to encourage Dr. Paul to fearlessly step to the plate and represent those who dream of a country that is built upon liberty, integrity and virtue. Speak with your loudest voice to encourage Dr. Paul to create a true revolution–in the most clear and precise definition of the word–by standing up to the controlled media, standing up to the elitist oligarchy of the ruling class, informing and empowering the people to choose for themselves.
INFORMING AND EMPOWERING THE POEPLE TO CHOOSE FOR THEMSELVES.
I pledge my allegiance to Dr. Paul, I pledge my allegiance to my fellow citizens with great love and compassion, I pledge my allegiance to the United States of America, which will rise up once again like a pheonix and be for the world a beacon of hope, of change, of prosperity and freedom and love for one’s common man.
There is more riding on this country’s next presidential election than the direction of its own policies and the fate of its own citizens. Whether they know it or not, the eyes of the world are upon us all to stand up and do the right thing, and to serve as an example for all the ill-informed and ill-empowered citizens of the world who blindly suffer under government by individuals who truly do not have their best interests at heart.

If Ron Paul does not take back the GOP, he should Stay in the race as an independent and force both Obama and McCain to debate him.
No other candidate in modern times knows the Constitution and interprets the Founding Fathers intentions as well as Ron Paul does.

WHY CAN’T WE START A NEW PARTY -” THE STRICT CONSTITUTIONALISTS.” AN INDEPENDENT WON’T EVER GET ENOUGH VOTES. ADDITIONALLY, INDEPENDENTS SCREW THE BETTER OF THE TWO PARTIES (GOP) & GIVE MORE VOTES TO THE DEMOCRATS – WHO ARE JUST COMPLETELY OUT OF CONTROL (SPENDING WISE).
[Reply]
I think the 3rd party didn’t work before because the name “Libertarian” is confusing to the average person.
I have spoken with a number of people who think the party is “liberal,” i.e., similar to the democrats versus a party that cares about personal freedom & liberties.
[Reply]
Ron is a man we can all respect. I think he should back away and work to change the GOP – if this doesn’t work (which it probably won’t) – he needs to start his own party. I think he would have a great following if his supporters could be labeled something other than “Republican” or “Independent”.
[Reply]
Ron Paul would be wasting his time trying to “take back” or “reform” the GOP. The forces within the party to remain on its present course are simply far too great. There are elements within the GOP who are already trying to cash in on the “Ron Paul Revolution”—glad-handing the Ron Paul community while privately seeking to capitalize on its momentum for their own ends.
A return to the Constitution requires that someone like Ron Paul start a disciplined and principled third party, one that is dedicated to the principle of freedom and individual rights—no exceptions and no excuses. By Pauls own admission, third parties have an almost impossible uphill battle—but it would be much easier than trying to reform the GOP: fact of life! The sooner he or someone else does this the better. Time is already running out.
[Reply]
Ron should stick with the Republican Party as long as possible to educate and to harass the buggers. Then he should also be setting
the stage for a third party or write-in campaign. The country needs
Dr Pauls Constitutional stand and his rock hard support for the Bill
of Rights which is the item in founding documents that keeps us as
relatively free people because of the 2nd Amendment of private firearm ownership. The 2nd Amendment is the part Mc (Son so Cain)
Cain and Obama will destroy if at all possible in order for their sponsors New World Order be imposed on us Americans.

The Republican Party of Reagan and Goldwater is still salvageable. I’d like to see him stay. However, there are at least a dozen countries that would welcome an anti-collectivist, pro-human, pro-freedom leader like Ron Paul. Ron Paul could easily win the presidency of any former Soviet-controlled country. And in six-months, after he turned the country into a thriving superpower, people here might wake up, realizing at last that it’s all about what they can do, not their soul-sapping government.
[Reply]
Ron Paul is the closest thing I’ve seen of anyone who wants to return the government to the people. This country is headed for doom if we don’t quit trying to be the police of the world. There are some things we just can’t change. The ethnic groups of Iraq and
other regions of the middle east have been at war with one another for hundreds of years. We can’t do anything to change that. We need to focus our attention on problems at home. We are spending
like there is no tomorrow. We need a leader who will be fiscally responsible, try to fix social security and try to balance the budget instead of printing more money to fix the problem. We need a leader who will restore integrity to government. Ron Paul is the closest thing I’ve seen of anyone capable of tackling the problems at hand.
[Reply]
Ron Paul has more of a chance getting the GOP nomination, than McCain has of winning the presidentcy.
And I may be wrong on this, but, since Barr’s record isn’t so spotless. He was one of the many on the Clinton/Lewinski witch hunt. And at the same time, was also having an affair with his wife. And whether you think he should have or shouldn’t have, the Clintons are still dearly loved in this country. And the media will eat Bob Barr alive for doing so.
But, no matter what Ron Paul does, I will still be writing in his name on the ballot. And still keep sending the GOP, John McCain and others who support McCain, emails to show my thoughts on their attempts to end the GOP forever by endorcing John McCain.

Ron Paul should have taken the offer to accept the nomination of the Constitution Party. They stood ready and willing to have him as their candidate, and they are in greater alignment with him than are the Libertarians. Under the present circumstances he should accept the nomination of another third party or go independent.

Ron Paul needs to openly challenge John McCain to a debate. Create buzz. So much attention has been given to Hillary and Obama that most Americans don’t even know who Ron Paul is, or that he is even a nominee!
An open challenge will at least create buzz. If it were actually accepted – then people can get a true comparison and Real Debate.

If Ron Paul leaves the Republican Party, I think he will lose his seniority in the House, which means no more Ranking member of any committees, etc. That would be bad simply because as much as I want it to happen, short of McCain keeling over, RP is not gonna be the nominee
In light of that I think he’s made the right choice staying in the GOP.

If you haven’t signed up yet, go to http://www.campaignforliberty.com/. The goal is 100,000 patriots by September. I am still going to write Dr. Paul in come election day. It’s sad. Ron Paul seemed like a good choice for political constitutionality. Is there a good reason not to unite with Nader. I am listening, if you think for some reason Nader isn’t good for the country. Is it the same as the democrats and republicans, it’s your candidate or nothing, and has little to do with the issue and you ignore or worse, just fight with people you consider outsiders? I think they’re both the best choices we as Americans had.
Is it possible to ask Ron Paul what he thinks of either him, or his supporters helping Nader have a chance? I’m willing to hear why not voting for anybody now is better than voting for Nader.

I’ve asked so many time what’s wong with Nader, and you just ignore, being hopelessly devotional to a good man. I think Ron Paul is great. You keep ignoring the question about Nader. Is he just another politician or a bad man, because I would like to know, if so. I’m saying, we have a hope for real change this year, if we could only agree once, that the two party system is horrible, and agree on who can lead us to democracy in the voting system and beyond. You tell me who to vote for, and I’ll gladly give you whatever skills and help I can to go beyond. Can Nader join with Bob Barr? Is Nader so different and worse than Bob Barr. The Democrats split the country apart with Obama, to confuse everyone, blacks, whites, latino, Marxist and so much more in a fake attempt to act like he’ll change anything. I’m so desparate, and if I don’t agree here, I support Ron Paul and Ralph Nader as champions of the people like you wouldn’t believe. It’s the people here, and ignorance of others that I wonder if it’s any different. I’m done yelling here though, and will troll a little I guess, but was hoping for so much more.

Dear A,
I believe both Ron Paul and Ralph Nadar are good men. The stay true to their convictions but their understanding of government is very different.
Have you read Ron Paul’s books, esp The Revolution: A Manifesto? I encourage you to read it, read his speeches at Ron Paul Library online. He is very much against government interventionism and regulation both domestic and foreign. Nadar shares Paul’s beliefs
about restraining from foreign intervention, but still believes in domestic interventionism through more regulations.
Ron Paul has a high view of individual personal freedom AND economic freedom. Nadar only esteems individual freedom but not economic freedom. This in the end would take away personal freedom too when opposed to government regulations.
Ron Paul’s high view of the free Market comes from his understanding of Austrian Economics. Therefore he is against the Federal Reserve, a fiat monetary system and the IRS. Nadar may be critical of the Federal Reserve, but I don’t believe he has the same economic understanding that Ron Paul does.
Someone else commented on starting another third party, that just further divides The Revolution.
The Libertarian Party is the closest philosophically to Ron Paul.
Next would be the Constitutional Party.
Nadar and Kucinich would be a distant third.
Ron Paul has said over and over again that it’s not about him it’s about the message. That message is Liberty. Again the Libertarian Party has the same view.
I hope this helps.
Here are some links to articles that I based my ideas from:
Austrian Economics (Read the article: Taking Money Back on June 12 2008):

Ron Paul Library:

Oh, and if you haven’t join the New Ron Paul Campaign for Liberty:
http://www.ronpaullibrary.org/
On the local level there will be Libertarians, Constitutional Party members, Ron Paul Republicans and even some Ron Paul Democrats.
Judge them on their commitment to the ideas of Liberty: The Constitution, Free Market, Civil Rights, Limited Government. Sound monetary system (Gold Standard), low taxes.
For those reasons I support first Bob Barr and the Libertarian Party, then Chuck Baldwin and the Constitutional Party, Ron Paul Republicans, and a very few (but they exist) Ron Paul Democrats.
Again, hope this helps. Keep on thinking and reading.
Sorry to repeat myself, but I’ve only supported Ron Paul for 2 months, before I was a blind Republican supporting McCain. The more we learn the more we can spread the message of Liberty.
Happy Flag Day

Author A…I haven’t done any research on Nader and I doubt that very many here have either because we are all Ron Paul die hards. Dr. Paul has dropped out of the “active” campaign since the primaries are over to put his time where he feels it would best be used, the “campaign for liberty”. Don’t be depressed or disillusioned. Dr Paul is still “in the running” even though he is not actively campaigning and is still very much a force to be reckoned with. Go to http://www.campaignforliberty.com/ and join to continue the work if you haven’t yet.
Dr. Paul said in his speech
“With the primary season now over, the presidential campaign is at an end. But the larger campaign for freedom is just getting started. Therefore, I am happy to announce the official launch of the Ron Paul Campaign for Liberty.”
The number of Ron Paul “followers” are growing and no doubt will continue to grow as Dr. Paul and those of us that support liberty keep doing the work that we have done. I personally am going to write him in and think a majority of his supporters are as well unless he advises otherwise. Waking up a nation of sleeping people may take some time but I am in this for the long haul if that is what it takes. It would be wonderful if we could put Dr. Paul in the White House and let me tell you, “it ain’t over until it’s over”. A lot of things could happen between now and election day. Our greatest challenge will be not getting discouraged, keeping our focus and continuing the fantastic work we have been doing. Dr. Paul has pledged to continue to support this cause as long as “We, the people” support it and that’s just what I am going to do. I hope you will to!
[Reply]
I will see. I have checked Ron Paul out, only because of Nader’s inspiration to look at options and think beyond the two “choices”. People here have seemed the same as any democratic or republican though. Ron Paul is better than the two options, but his supporters dont seem to follow his message. What would he say? I know he knows who Nader is. Nader has been trying to get Americans to recognize the constitution for decades it seems. Everyone here is smart enough to look him up and figure it out.
Please check him out. If Ron Paul dropped out, if he is a for the people sort of guy, what does he say about voter choices now? I’ve listened enough to know he is genuine. Unfortunately, just like Jesus, I don’t think his supporters have a clue what he wants.

Please Paul supporters, stop this division and get behind McCain to unite the Repubican party. Paul is a Republican and though I respect his run, McCain has secured the delegates and is our presumtive nominee. One will win between McCain and Obama. We cannot let Obama get in office. He is for all the Republicans are against. Don’t contribute to Obama’s win. You are such great organizers, use it to the good for Senator McCain and Mike Huckabee as his vp.
[Reply]
Linda,
You have got to be kidding. I can speak for a great deal of Ron Paul supporters. There’s now way in h*ll we’ll vote for him.
After the way we were treated in Hawai’i, where I’m from, Nevada, Georgia, and all the other state conventions, I have no desire to support the bankrupt GOP, and I was a life long Republican! I was even supporting McCain up to two months ago, but I started listening and reading what Ron Paul stands for. Whether McCain, Hillary or Obama win, it’s all the same.
Those of us who supported Ron Paul, are having trouble figuring out who to vote for next November, but I can assure you that McCain is not one of the options. We’ll write in Ron Paul, vote for Barr, Baldwin, or even Nader, but McCain? To us, he’s the same as Obama.
Until you really listen to Paul, and not just praise his organization or money raising abilities, you and the rest of the GOP will never get it.
This is a Revolution. McCain, Obama, Hillary, Huckabee, Guilliani, Romney and all the others don’t have a clue to what we stand for.
Earlier I rejected Nadar as an option as a Ron Paul supporter, but I’d vote for him over any Republicrat. They don’t stand for the Constitution, the have no understanding of the monetary system, they won’t protect our civil liberties, they will continue intervening in the internal affairs of other nations, they will continue to create more regulations, increase the national debt and devalue the dollar.
If I’ve been harsh, forgive me, but McCain? NO WAY!

Even though he did not agree on everything, Nader “considered” voting Ron Paul too!

Nader’s campaign has picked up a bit, especially considering the Democratic and Republican options that both seem ready to throw us into the next war, despite the rhetoric.
I don’t think only because he dropped out, I have to make the most of my vote and vote for a candidate that is actually running.
I’ll check out the campaign for liberty though. There’s no reason to stop at voting. It’s a “Nader was Ron Paul before Ron Paul was cool” sort of thing, so that’s why I was curious of people’s thoughts here. They’re like the ideals of what you would hope real democrats and republicans should be like, althogh they’re really both outside any existing party. If Ron Paul endorses somebody else, I’ll check them out for sure.

OK. I don’t think that was Nader. I do get the impresson that if Nader dropped out, he would endorse somebody like Ron Paul though.

If we look beyond the facade as Dr. Paul and many others have documented, there is no democratic and republican party anymore though that is what the puppet masters would have us believe. I had rather vote for an honorable person who loses than to be a party to installing a tyrant. If this movement is sustained, it will be by not only understanding the failures of the past but just as importantly, what has proven to work over the years. The globalization of this country has been in the works since 1961…now that is commitment, and the same commitment will be required to reverse this direction. There never was any guarantee we could make this happen in just 18 months. Like Dr. Paul has said, he has had the honor to serve as the inspiration for this movement for liberty but liberty itself must be the sustaining force. It may take years but years will pass whether we continue our work or not. We will be tested this election like all other movements of the past have been tested and we will only survive past this election if we are historically educated and psychologically prepared to continue our work to the extent required to succeed. Instant gratification is not an option here. We have already done the impossible and have set an historic record. In 18 short months we have awakened over a million voters to a relatively unknown candidate advocating liberty that the global elite have had 47 years to put to sleep. This movement scares the hell out of them because they know it is working tremendously well. Think about that for a moment. Over 1 million people voted for Dr. Paul and there is no telling how many millions have recently awakened and will awaken that are eager to join in the retaking of our country. These millions can only join our cause if there is a cause to join. The growing numbers reflect the despair of feeling in this country and likewise reflect the necessity to continue our work. What we are doing is working in a big way and it will continue to work if we do not impose unrealistic time frames and give up. We must remain a cohesive organization for those who will come in the days and weeks ahead. We must stay the course so our method can continue to work. If we continue as the engaged and energetic group we have been these past 18 months our number will grow exponentially and our success guaranteed. It’s up to us. It’s not our method that will fail us but rather us that will fail our method if failure is the end result. I encourage everyone to go to http://www.campaignforliberty.com and sign up.

What about the people like Nader (http://www.votenader.org), who have been awoken for years, and are still trying to wake others? I wouldn’t want to discredit them by acting like this “revolution” is a new thing, although I am glad for every new voice in this stifled “democracy”. I honor and respect Dr. Paul for his work, but like you said, this is beyond one person so we can all use reminders. Since Ron Paul has dropped out of running for president, I would encourage everyone here not to vote for Nader, but learn about him and what he has been doing for decades, trying to break people’s mental conditioning that you have to choose between what the elite minority of Democratic and Republican leadership, or power wielding minority has chosen for you. It’s been controlled for years, unless Nader was just seeing the future 16 years ago, and he hasn’t been exactly sitting on his butt in the meantine. I would not back Barr or anybody on just an endorsement, because that’s the very conditioning Dr. Paul is trying to break us from. I do respect his judgement and would check them out with an open mind though. Barr seems slightly Obama-like, in that he seems to be a long time advocate of the things he is now denouncing. He may have changed, but the Oval Office isn’t the place to run a conversion. OK, now I really will check out this Campaign For Liberty.

I would like to see Ron Paul and Ralph Nader as running mates. Their funds will produce more of the “united we stand”, as apposed to “divided we fall”. They both appear to have similar ideas, and a small political following. Imagine if they as a team, earn the 15% support needed to participate in the presidential debates. The nation would have the pleasure of listening to a real debate, from candidates that do not pander, are not power hungry, and are just genuine patriots that truly want change right now!
“In the year 2000, the CPD (Commission on Presidential Debates) changed their criteria for third party and independent candidates — a candidate now needed 15 percent or more support as measured by the average of five private polling organizations — which just happen to be owned by several major newspaper and television conglomerates.” – Ralph Nader
“Without candidates’ rights to be on the ballot—in a country where ninety percent of House districts are one-party dominated heavily due to gerrymandering—voters are becoming further disenfranchised.” – Ralph Nader
Voting Republican was not an option in my household, until Ron Paul spoke out in the debates. His feeling of how the government has gone from “we the people” to “we the two parties”, as they seemingly stomp on the constitution. The government is being run as a corporate mob, and Ron Paul is angry enough (as am I) to bring back and use the template that made our forefathers proud. We need to digress a bit, and re-learn the fundamentals. Thank you Ron Paul for bringing me from apathetic complacent ignorance, to an angry voice.
“Fear is the foundation of most governments; but it is so sordid and brutal a passion, and renders men in whose breasts it predominates so stupid and miserable, that Americans will not be likely to approve of any political institution which is founded on it.”
John Adams, Thoughts on Government, 1776

What should Ron Paul do now.
Exactly what he is doing. Standing by my Constitution, and waiting while the two snake parties, more than any other campaigne since we became a nation, continue to prove that a house divided against itself cannot stand.
I do believe in miracles, but I also believe that this nation of majority Christians cannot endure another 8 years of the majority Christian Slick Willey party, or another 8 years of the majority Christian Boy George party. The miracle I’m hoping for is that, if the United States must indeed dissolve while our faithful soldiers are still setting Christ’s example that no person is the common authority (Matt 8:9-10), let us bring violence upon every man’s household when he holds up the Repubican and Democrat party snakes and proclaims, “If you don’t kiss one of these vipers you don’t have a right to complain.”
It’s my Bible and it’s my Constitution, and it bothers to hell out of me to hear majority Christian anti-Christs boast they don’t even know who Christ is (malachi 4:4-6; Matt 10:34-36; 17:10,11-12), while at the same time declaring they have enough sense to know which respected punk can show us (James 2:9; 1John 2:24,27).
Praise God, our forfathers were criminals who defied the legal judges, legal police, legal soldiers, and legal citizens who were our domestic enemy then. Those criminals, graced upon us by the providence of God, formed us a nation whose Declaration of Independence and Constitution both assures me that no law will be passed that gives anyone advantage over me.
As subtle as a minute man hiding behind a tree to pop off a half-wit sycophant standing in bright colored ranks, with a “he-who-strikes-and-runs-away-lives-to-strike-another-day” philosophy, I will do whatever is necessary to pop off the illusionists who offer the snake parties as choices in the Divided States of America.
A lot can happen between now and November, and the three stooges of Slick Willy’s and Boy George’s political parties are happening it.
The best thing Ron Paul can do is nothing but to stand by my Constition of the United States of America.

I do not understand how you can support both Ron Paul and Ralph Nader, unless you have not looked at their respective philosophies. They are both honorable men, but have completely different views on the economy, tax policy, and government regulations.

Our Second Best and Only Real Choice: Warning Overlords
Our only public candidate who would be better than Obama,
is the truest patriot Ron Paul,
who confounds both left and right -
a republican libertarian,
a true Thomas Jefferson.
But the right fears him because
he’s too fundamental even for the fundamentalists.
He really believes the Constitution.
He’s read it, just like Kucinich and Obama have,
and he respects it with courage not seen for two centuries.
He’s against big government,
but also against big money calling the shots.
He’s against abortion, but would not legislate so personal a liberty.
He’s against the war because it’s an unconstitutional imperialist occupation and mass murder.
Isn’t it ironic how pro-lifers want to be pro-war?
Apparently it’s OK to kill any number of people, no matter how innocent, once they’re born.
That’s righteousness for you.
Bankers and owners of the world fear him right and left because
he would abolish the illegal income tax and the private Fed manipulation,
stop the endless printing of shrinking dollars and horrendous burial in debt,
and end the real slavery, false welfare, and usury of us all
by ending the power-serving Big Brother tyranny our government has become.
Our government was created to be our servant, remember?
Not the other way around.
The left fears him not only because he’s Republican,
but because he would abolish government restraints on enterprise and the environment and climate.
But he would also stop the suppression of innovative ideas and energies
that threaten the exploiting, polluting cash-cow industries,
and let people’s real choices in real freedom make the market.
Yes, people would choose clean cold fusion were it allowed to be real, as it is.
Ask Japan and Italy. They know. Ask Ed Storms, Los Alamos vet and courageous leader of LENR.
The real rulers, the owl-worshipping Murdochs and Kissingers, fear freedom above all, and loss of their authority. Make no mistake, the already-crippled Constitution is their sworn enemy.
They know that people, if given a chance, will choose
self-determination over propaganda and programming.
They know many people still have hope that truth will save the world for their children.
Ron Paul is too much of a shock for too many to yet be viable, but people are learning! If he ever gets close, watch out – he’ll need a king-sized guardian angel.
Barack Obama taught the Constitution, and is a literate, visionary man of real character and principle with right desire, respect for freedom, and the courage of truth. He knows much of Ron Paul’s truth.
That’s more than enough for a dawn in this darkness.
Barack is our best hope available – he is viable, he wants to change government by do-able degrees, and he has a huge guardian angel – millions of passionate people’s support in desperate times. He will be President. Warning Overlords: Go ahead and try to corrupt him; please compromise with him, but don’t you dare martyr him – you will then lose all authority, We the People promise you.
You must allow some change.
Ron for VP?

We need Ron Paul to run for president in the Reform Party. That is our only chance at giving the people a real candidate. Obama has just announced he will back the faith based government programs promoting religion over government funding. Paul is well needed. I can’t believe so many people didn’t stand by him. He was robbed out many votes, but he still has this one chance. We still have this one chance if he runs. All you need is his name on the ticket, and when Obama and McCain pull more tricks like supporting government funded religious jobs for their religious followers only, they will eventually all come to Ron Paul, the only true candidate.

Dr Paul should put together a series of 1/2 hour infomercials about the tyranny that is upon us and air them nationally. Trash that which is trash and stand up for what our forefathers crafted for us and which has worked so well for individual freedoms. All the ego-freaks in the media are in the pockets of the rich and have sold out. If you don’t mediate your message to the masses you cannot hope to wake the people up.
We cannot become over-taxed losers like Europe who pay more now than they ever did to any kings! Government of the people by the rich attorneys is not a viable option for a free people. When this country of free individuals is over the Great Spirit will not be happy and the darkest of ends begins…I think this may be the last 4th of July I observe. I have purchased a ‘Dont Tread on Me’ flag and intend burning my red, white and blue.

Here is a short article on the “Candidates” for President. Just as we all suspected, all are “owned” by the elite. Look at the comment at the end of this article about Ron Paul. They admit that a lot of damage has been done to their evil putrid plan due to the education of the young people. If this is where their fears lie, this tell me there is a need for focus on this very point. I think it’s time we contacted our state representatives and pressured them to assert state rights and put civics back in the classroom with an emphasis on studying the Constitution and all it means to the life of this country.
I just hope Dr. Paul looks after his personal safety. If threatened, these filthy animals will do anything…ie JFK and probably others if the truth were known. Hope to see you on July 12th!

GLOBAL ELITE GATHER IN D.C. – Trilateralists Claim to own remaining three candidates for President
By Jim Tucker: The Trilateral Commission—one of the three most powerful globalist groups in the world—held closed-door meetings right here in Washington, D.C. from April 25 to 28. True to form, those members of the media who knew about the meeting—or were themselves participants in the proceedings—refused to discuss what went on inside or report on the attendees. Luckily, AFP’s own editor, Jim Tucker, was on the scene to bust this clandestine confabulation wide open. Luminaries at the Trilateral Commission meeting in Washington expressed confidence that they own all three major presidential candidates, who, despite political posturing, will support sovereignty-surrendering measures such as NAFTA and the “North American Union.”
“John has always supported free trade, even while campaigning before union leaders,” said one. “Hil and Barack are pretending to be unhappy about some things, but that’s merely political posturing. They’re solidly in support.”
He was referring to Sens. John McCain (R-Ariz.), Hillary Clinton (D-N.Y.) and Barack Obama (D-Ill.).
Mrs. Clinton, they noted, held strategy sessions as first lady on how to get Congress to approve NAFTA “without changes.” As president, they agreed, she would do no more than “dot an i or cross a t.”
Candidate Obama has not denied news reports in Canada that his top economic adviser, Austan Goolsbee, assured Canadian diplomats that the senator would keep NAFTA intact and his anti-trade talk is just “campaign rhetoric.”
PETRIFIED ABOUT PAUL
While they are confident they can deal with any “potential president,” the Trilateralists paid huge tribute to Ron Paul in an equally large twist of irony, by expressing alarm that he is causing “significant future damage.”
They expressed concern that Paul’s rallies have attracted multitudes of young people who are getting “their political education.” They want Republicans to pressure Paul to drop out now and stop his education rallies. This assignment was given to Thomas Foley, former U.S. House speaker.

“No man’s need constitutes an obligation on the part of any other man to fulfill that need.”
All this talk about what we need and what Ron Paul must do because we need him.
That notion rests on the same premise which got us into this mess, the notion that human beings are or should be treated as if they are sacrificial animals.
Whether you agree with me or not it is worthwhile to read the essays of Ayn Rand who discusses the issues which are at the root of the problems facing the country and who identifies more rational premises which underlie the solutions.
Ron Paul has included a recommendation in the bibliography of The Revolution: A Manifest for his supporters to read Ayn Rand’s Atlas Shrugged.
I would second that and add her The Virtue of Selfishness, Capitalism: The Unknown Ideal and For the New Intellectual.
As urgent is the call to support with even a modest donation to the only project which might enable Ron Paul to become the Republican Party nominee in Minneapolis in September, dvds4delegates.com

I believe if you are true to your COUNTRY, don’t tear down the rest of it because you didn’t win. There could only be one candidate, whether it was either of the original running ones. But, being true Americans and Republicans – as you profess – use your voting to elect the best, at this time. Either that or your vote is for the Democrats. Which is better, please ask yourself?
