It is quite clear to me that the only way Ron has a chance is to get all the right-wing radio guys (who truth be told can’t stand the idea of supporting McCain) to get completely behind him.
ARE YOU LISTENING RUSH, HANNITY, INGRAHAM, MEDVED, LEVINE.
    DID I MISS ANYONE?
IS THERE A BETTER, MORE REALISTIC APPROACH?

Mr. Paul if you are going to stay in and I hope you do, you have to run as a republican! No, independent has ever been elected president. I am talking about recent history not the late 1700′s. The people barely understand the two party system, let alone the ones who think they live in a democracy, when it says in our pledge of allegiance that we are a republic. I just wish more people were aware of you, every time I bring you up it’s WHO! Or, I didn’t know about Ron Paul till brought it up! But, seriously, following the constitution is the only way to keep we as a country moving forward, back to backing our money with precious metal, not trying to impose our way of thinking on other countries developing our own renewable resources, I am sure the combustion engine could be modified to run on just about anything! Keeping our noses out of other peoples and countries was a staple of our way of life! I am all for closing bases abroad and bring them home to protect our borders if that what it takes. If people from other countries want to come here that’s good but they have to do it legally so they can contribute to the common good like all Americans!

People in this country are at an end. They look to the president for leadership and direction. In the last seven years we have no leadership and we have been going in the wrong direction. The democrats came to washington a year ago saying we are going to change that. They got on the Bush wagon and now they are part of the problem. We need someone who understands that the strenght of a country is not its military but its economy. Our debt is near ten trillion, dollar worthless, no jobs, 20 million illegals, a misdirected war, a bad trade policy, no energy policy, gasoline
4$ gallon, etc. This country is going to hell in a handbag. I believe Ron Paul is the only one who knows how and has the guts to change Washington.

Looks like this country wants communism, social, facism. If they want to vote for idiots who will enslave them, guess we all have to go down with them. Just wish they would just leave and ruin someone else’s country. Thanks for making a difference Ron Paul. I can’t believe this election!!!!!!!! I VOTED FOR YOU AND WILL WRITE IN FOR YOU ON THE BALLOT in NOV. Refuse to vote for M or O! O will win because the Reps are split from rino’s/neo’s and true conservatives! Guess we will have the call to Mecca 5 x/day! More illegals, NAIS, PINs, RFID, REAL ID, Muslim male 25-45 hijackers and little old ladies getting frisked before boarding planes.

I’m kind of surprised that so many Paul supporters want him to endorse Obama, but not shocked. I myself am teetering on voting for Obama in the general election (if Paul drops out of course). The reason is his stance on the war. The war is my primary concern right now. My husband proudly serves in the military as does his brother, so the war is something close to our hearts (and daily life). I’m also tremendously concerned about the economy and I realize that Paul & Obama couldn’t be more different on fiscal matters, and the size of the government. I’m a Repulican and am in favor of smaller more localized government, and dream of the day when our government can be responsible for its spending.

With that said, if Paul stays in the campaign he is in a sense helping out Obama because he will be taking votes away from John McCain and I’m not sure that’s a bad thing.

Meanwhile, I’m hoping that Paul will stay in the campaign to feed this revolution he’s started…to give us hope and to give us someone we can VOTE for. Someone for us to believe in, and someone worthy of our vote, not just a means to vote against another person…but someone we can in good conscience vote for and know it’s not just the lesser of the evils.

Hopefully (if nothing else) this will pave the way for future revolutionary candidates.

This is a tuff call, it seems like every election that the nominee for each side gets all of the delegates. I would say stay in the run, McCain is a real joke…being from AZ I know that he has done nothing as a senator and will continue to do nothing as a president. The American public will vote for the change we need and that is going to be Ron Paul leading that charge. No more war! Lets get America back to that wonderful place everyone wanted to live. I am declaring now that if Ron Paul is not elected as VP, at the least, I will be moving my family to Mexico.

Are there rumors that Ron Paul will drop out? I’m sure that he will make a different announcement. It will be an even bigger surprise, thanks to the rumors (which I haven’t heard by the way).

STAY IN LIKE HE PROMISED until the RNC in September!!!

We NEED Ron as our standard bearer until then!!! We took a bad enough hit on super tuesday and have just only recently bounced back and have our core intact – dropping out Monday (like the scuttlebutt going around those ‘in the know’) will have a devastating effect on the R3VOLUTION, and I believe it will totally wipe out any kind of large numbers we are working up to attend the DC March in July!!!!!
THERE NEEDS TO BE A MASSIVE BARRAGE OF COMMUNICATIONS TO THE NATIONAL CAMPAIGN FOR RON TO CONTINUE. Tell him if it’s the money and whatever he wants to do with it – FINE! We’ll GIVE him another $5 Million to play with later IF HE JUST STAYS IN THE RACE UNTIL THE RNC.

I feel like the Wicked Witch of the West after jumping into the pool!

Ron, PLEASE run as a 3rd party candidate. The Democrats are getting 30% of the electorate. The Republicans are getting 30% of the electorate. 40% of us are independents and we have no candidate. You are our candidate. This is the perfect time for you to run. You offer all the best things of both the Democrats and Republicans. You are such a great speaker. You will inspire so many people to vote for you. You can change this country in such a monumental way. There has never been such a perfect time for a third party candidate to run. PLEASE Dr. PAUL, PLEASE RUN AS A THIRD PARTY CANDIDATE. YOU WILL REVOLUTIONIZE AMERICAN POLITICS.

We arent leaving our country just because they cheat so why leave the party? It is ours and they stole it. We will stand our ground and fight for what is right. But Ron… HOW ABOUT GETTING A LITTLE FIRED UP? These guys are crooks and murderers and working on unconstitutional laws. Doesnt that bother you as much as us? They killed 3000 people by plan on 9/11. Get Mad. They have killed over 1.5 million in Iraq based on LIES. GET MAD! Heck, hers a plan- Lets all just move to Texas and secceed.

Go independent Dr. Paul. PLEASE. I’m all for taking back the GOP but we DON’T HAVE TIME. This may be our last election. :( Please take the chance, sir. If any of the top 3 win, we’ve lost our country. We needed an education campaign 10 years ago. Now, we need a leader who will put this country back on the right path. We are in the 11th hour with a full fledged police state at our doorstep. I’m begging you with everything I have. We have supported you, heaven knows how many “lists” we are on. You may lose your Congressional seat- but what good is that anyway if we have martial law imposed? Even not in Congress, your voice will remain powerful. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE….

I believe Dr. Paul should start actively recruiting and funding republican candidates for congressional seats. He’s shown that he can get large numbers of us to spend for his books and his campaign.

A well funded congressional campaign can cost somewhere in the neighborhood of 5 million dollars (2 for primary, 3 for election). If a million Ron Paul supporters each gave $5, you would have a fully funded campaign. Given the numbers of people who spent $15 to $20 dollars to buy Dr. Paul’s book, I don’t think this is an unreasonable idea.

Look at the (negative) influence that Tom Delay was able to wield in congress through his ability to provide and withhold fund raising monies. Look at the influence special interests are able to wield through their campaign contributions.

Could Ron Paul best influence the Republican congress and promote his ideas this way? Money talks.

I hereby pledge to donate at least $5 to any candidate for national office who is endorsed by Ron Paul, so long as it is made absolutely clear that Ron Paul is the reason she/he is getting my money.

If Dr. Paul will continue to lead the movement I think we should continue working just as we are now now and plan for the next presidential election. Just look at what we have done in a few short months but more than that, the economy will be in shambles by then and everyone will be genuinely looking for what Dr. Paul is offering; a path out of the economic recession or depression we no doubt will be in. Dr. Paul has committed to continuing to lead, four years will pass anyway and very quickly, so let’s role up our sleeves and continue to go about the awakening of America. I will write in Dr. Paul come election day and hope everyone will.
On another subject, is there a national registry or means otherwise to commuicate and network with Ron Paul supporters across the country? If not do you think one is needed? It seems to me that a means to monitor our national progress, communicate, organize, network, and watch our numbers grow would be vital to the momentum of this movement. If anyone has any information or idea’s on this please advise with a post here.
See you in Washington July 12th!

RON PAUL SHOULD “STAY” IN AS THE REPUBLICAN HE IS, OR AS AN INDEPENDENT.

EITHER WAY, THE MAN IS AS VIABLE A CANDIDATE, AND MORE SO, AS EITHER OF THE “TWO” FAVORITES IN OBAMA AND HILLARY AND NO ONE IS TRULY THRILLED WITH EITHER OF THEM. ON ELECTION DAY, IF RON PAUL CONTINUES TO GET HIS MESSAGE OUT THERE, THEN YOU WILL SEE A LOT OF PEOPLE, WHO ARE STILL VERY MUCH UNDECIDED, VOTING FOR DR. PAUL.

IT IS SELF-EVIDENT, AT THIS POINT, THAT MCCAIN DOES NOT STAND A CHANCE AGAINST HILLARY OR OBAMA.

RON PAUL IS A “WINNING” CANDIDATE ON EITHER TEAM, REPUBLICAN OR INDEPENDENT.

EITHER WAY, HE HAS MY VOTE AND COME VOTING DAY, HE WILL HAVE THE “WINNING” VOTE.

I think there is a need for a, for lack of a better term, “Constitutionalist” party to organize and promote the ideeas of freedom and limited government. Both of the major parties are, at this point, incapable of internal reform (witness the kind of treatment Ron Paul received from his “own”) and an infrastructure for permanent change needs to be developed. These ideas won’t win right away but presented by themselves they will have a kind of power they will never achieve if they are wedded to the current two party structures. I can concieve of a future where history books will write about Republicans like they do of “Whigs” and so tying ourselves to that sinking log seems unwise.

Since Paul wil appear on few ballots come November. His votes should not be wasted, on either of the two major party candidates.

Obliquily he should be endorsing Baar or at least telling his followers where to place their votes.

It is imperative that he stay within the Repubublican Party at all costs. He loses all power and all credibility outside the party.

I he had any chance of winning outside, I would say go for it. Since he no chance of an out and out victory, stay where he can do the most good.

I originally said stay with the GOP, but decided we have one chance and I’d love to see Ron, Bob Barr and Michael Savage join forces. We are 75 million strong in support of Savage. What a formidable force this would be and scare the devil out of the others. All three men are exceptional. Can any of the Ron Paul group talk to Savage? It’s something we should really try and arrange. At least give the three of them a platform to speak through. Now, the three are weak because the media is petrified of Savage and the media can individually tear the three apart so that’s how I see taking back our Nation, by using our might to force us back to the Constitution.

Savage wants to turn things around and this is a way to do it. They are close enough with their platforms that the three of them would be a tremendous force for the change we so terribly need.

The Republican party has left Ron Paul in the mud. His own party has diliberately made him out to be a “Whacko conspiracy theorist”. But, he wouldn’t be the only one. Several congressmen have left their congressional seats because of what the Bush Administration has done. I understand, he was re-elected as a republican in his 14th district, but with all the Republicans have done to him, It would the “right” thing to do if he ran as an “Independent”.

If Ron’s reading this, let me say this. Mr. Paul, if you were to run as an Independent, we will support you. And the money bombs will continue. We understand the challenge you would face, but money would not be one of them. I pledge to work harder than ever before to help you in any way I can.

I understand the need to end “Homeland Security, the Federal Reserve, un-necessary costly wars, and many departments controlled by the Federal Government. I understand the reasons even more.

Neither of those two are in line with Ron Paul’s ideals.

Ron Paul needs to stay in the race as a true Republican. We can’t let the neo-cons continue to control the conservative party.

as mccain continues to come off as a total boob more people are going to question why anyone should back him. the problem is that the powers that be don’t really care whether it’s obama or mccain as long as whoever is in office will continue down the same ruinous path we are on and both obama and mccain will do just that. it has often been said that there really isn’t much difference between obama and mccain so the elitist oligarchy will maintain the benefits they so desire no matter which of the two is in the white house. we know that we need to take our country back and we need to make sure others become informed and educated as to what has really been going on with the CFR, the NAU/SPP the NWO, the FEDERAL RESERVE, THE TRILATERAL COMMISION etc.. before this election season many of us myself included, really had no idea of the corruption that is so pervasive. we learned and others will soon learn too. no one likes to be made a fool of and we have all been fooled for way too long. whatever ron paul decides to do will be what he thinks is best and i have total trust and faith in him and his decisions. this revolution will never end we can’t allow it to. we all know that the internet is our biggest tool for getting and spreading the truth but i read recently that by 2012 we will no longer have the opportunity to access the truth the way we do now as the internet will be much like the MSM full of half truths and subterfuge so we have less than 4 years to get people to wake up. RON PAUL deserves so much respect and thanks for trying so hard to save AMERICA from the arrogant fascists hell bent on taking our freedoms away.

I find it sad that so many think Ron Paul should endorse Obama. It shows that those people truly do not understand the issues before us and the fact that Obama’s views run counter to the conservative and libertarian views of Ron Paul. Obama wants to increase the size of government, increase regulations and control, and continue our current economic policies. He also fails to understand the fundamental shift required in our foreign policy to achieve true stability and prosperity for our country as well as the rest of the world.

Contrary to what many think, the war is NOT the central issue of the Ron Paul campaign — though it is a major one. If you do not understand this, please read Ron Paul’s book (“Revolution: A Manifesto”) to get a clear picture of Ron Paul’s philosophy and views. It is far more comprehensive than just a few opinions on current events. It is a philosophy on which to base the whole of our government. In fact, it is the very foundation on which our country was founded.

If he does end up dropping and endorsing anyone, it should be McCain, for all that (most of us) despise the neo-cons, the damage McCain will do is nothing compared to the damage Obama will do. Plus, depending on who McCain selects as his running mate, we can always hope McCain dies shortly after the election (given his poor health).

Dr. Paul should continue his campaign until the convention, spreading the message as he goes. He should then serve as philosophical guide to the movement his campaign has tapped into, with an eye to developing it for the future.

It is very important that he not run as an independent, and it is also very important that he not become the “leader” of a movement. He should remain as a focal point and a lightning rod, but no more. He should return to the congressional floor and continue as he has. If he is still around in 2012, he should run again or at least be part of the campaign of whatever candidate is then part of this “true conservative” movement.

I am someone who greatly admires the man and his message, but would never vote for him. As far as I can tell, I am one of those “Leftist Libertarians” and thus do not see eye to eye with the great Dr. Paul.

He’d need a real billionaire to buy ballot access in all states, buy a real campaign staff (instead of the joke that he had in the primaries) and buy TV ad time. i.e. it’s not going to happen. Ron Paul should “(s)tay in the Republican race and continue efforts to take back the GOP”. However, there should be a switch in focus on the end result. Ron Paul should build the movement he is part of. He will not win the presidential election but he can become the leader of a new movement within the United States. One of the first steps to make this happen is to have his name read on election day as the candidate with the most votes outside of the two frontrunners.
