Ron Paul’s Message to Barack Obama

“Change” means nothing. It’s just a word, and it’s a cliché. If you just repeat it it has no meaning. You have to say, what are you going to change, and I would argue, you offer no change. You have the same foreign policy, you want more troops in Afghanistan, you’re not talking about only going to war with a declaration, you don’t want to deal with the monetary/financial crisis in this country, you want to keep the system together for the benefit of the banks and the big corporations and the politicians. What kind of change you have on social policy? Do you care about sick people using using Marijuana, have you come out for that? [...]

[Obama] doesn’t want change, he wants the status quo. [...] If you want change, what you need is someone who’s going to make sure you’re never going to have a draft, and we’re going to bring our troops home, we’re going to balance the budget, we’re going have sound money… [Obama] never talks about any of that.

  1. I voted Hilary Clinton, and only support Hilary Clinton, No matter what Hilary Does suspend her campaign concede her campaign. No matter what Hilary does she could even support Obama and campaign for Obama I will never Vote for Barack Obama, I do think America is ready for a black president, just not Barack Obama,,, The way The Democratic party handle this election with the Corporate Media propaganda the whole election, Turned this election upside down,, Obama could of ran over someone,, like Haley Berry, No one would care and still vote,, Obama..
There several million Voter right now like my self, will not ever vote for Barack Obama, Many like my self will be Voting for McCain, my reason is simple,, the Obama voter came on CNN & MSNBC and said if obama does not win the primary, Obama supporter will vote for McCain, Democratic party did not do anything to the obama camp to stop ,, why is obama party splitting the party in half, Now pelosi and many other are blaming Hilary and kept on with the propaganda Corporate Media, Obama Said on the new so many time,, does not Matter, if your Democrat or Republican,, you want the right person for the right Job,, He is so right,,when He said that we wanted Hilary,, Well Congrats to Obama his supporter got him to the primary,,,but He will never win the election,, for President, I will not stop with my blogging,, who is the best man for the job between Barack & McCain,, will vote for McCain he will be way better than Barack Obama, I can put up for McCain for 4 years and Hilary Can run again, Pelosi and the rest of the democrat party,, days are number at this point, For pushing Hilary out and ruining her Career, Even now During Clinton Exit speech,, Democratic party Told Hilary if she does not back there little puppet Barack Obama they will ruin her career,, In my opinion They all ready Ruined Hilary Clinton Career, Right Now I am going listen to one thing Barack Obama said, and that is, like I said, it does not matter if your Democrat or republican who is the right person for the job,,,, Hillary supporter need to stick together, Vote for McCain or just not vote for we need the right person,,, Hilary is up on stage right now saying what pelosi and the democratic party are telling her what to do,, or Economy is down and the way the propaganda Media is,, we are turning into a 3rd world country,, by rigging the election thru the media, Hilary Supporter who really want Hilary to be president Need to vote for McCain or just not Vote for Barack Obama, let McCain win,, there nothing more he can do as president, Congress will not let him it Congress who controls everything,, not the president, Pelosi and the a lot of the democratic party ruined Hilary Career, If all Hilary Voter, stick together, than We can restore Hilary Career and make her President, in 4 years. if you vote for Obama we have to wait maybe 8 years or 4 years and republican will be office, if Obama wins the presidency he will only be 4 year term,,, I say give all your supporter not to the democratic party, but to Hilary Clinton.. democratic party needs all of them need to leave office and get fresh people in there, who can unite the party not keep it separated and force unity, to who they want not who the voter want,, Hilary would of won this election, DNC screwed her with Florida and Michigan if those vote were counted at the beginning she would of won this race along time ago..and for the sexist Media, Like CNN & MSNBC… will continue to not report the new but Make it up as they see fit, All Hilary supporter need to unit together.. and stick together,, Margaret Thatcher was prime Minister 30 years ago,, but American Men and New Bias, is keeping woman down for personal gain, Like Keith Oberman, & Chris Mathews Who are the biggest Sexist on this MSNBC stations

  2. Hillary is the definition of status quo, and Hillary supporters are the definition of bitter.

    Hillary is over.

  3. Ron Paul’s supporters have a choice to make now, give your vote to Bob Barr who in reality has no chance of winning, vote for McCain the guy at the head of the party that just slapped Paul’s supporters in the face or vote for Obama who at least will be on the right side of the civil liberties issues.
At least Obama taught constitutional law at the University of Chicago for 10 years, has vowed to review all of Bush’s signing statements and has publicly stated that he wants to end the war in Iraq.
Anyone who says he or she is not going to vote is really not a supporter of the principles that Dr. Paul stands for.

  4. There is Charles Baldwin of the Constitutional party that represents closest to the message Ron Paul has set forth. I will be voting for him… far closer than Obama.

  5. To Besen: We didn’t think Ron Paul was going to win either, but we supported him. I’m going to likely be voting for Bob Barr (once I complete more research) and hope that amongst the front runners, we at least have a President that doesn’t have senior moments or retard tongue-slips. Even that is an improvement to today.

  6. I am a hillary supporter, but i WILL be voting for Barack Obama. The reason is simple, I don’t want a warmonger in the office. I support sending more troops to afghanistan because that war is for a just cause. Voting for McCain just mean another 100 thousand have to die. In NH a crowd member asked McCain about a Bush statement that troops could stay in Iraq for 50 years.

“Maybe 100,” McCain replied. “As long as Americans are not being injured or harmed or wounded or killed, it’s fine with me and I hope it would be fine with you if we maintain a presence in a very volatile part of the world where al Qaeda is training, recruiting, equipping and motivating people every single day.”

I don’t know about you, but i have a strong feeling that Iraqis will stop attacking us if we just get the hell out of there.

  7. Paul V, good riddance and enjoy your stay in the Republican party. You narrow minded hillary-cultists deserve the punishment you’ll get from electing mccain into office to continue the crusade against the constitution.

obama, hillary, their policies are nearly lockstep with each other so for anyone to claim they would support hillary but not obama or vice versa is nonsense and is only an example of stupidity and pigheadedness…you are willing to cut off your nose to spite your face.

ron paul, kucinich, gravel, these were the real “change” effectors and as usual they got about as far as one would expect in a contest which is set-up to prefer those who will maintain the status quo.

  8. Paul V, I’m sure you know that how the system works. After you fairly lose in the primaries, the party unites to help their candidate reach the office. Hillary and Obama may have different means of accomplishing things, but they have the same goal/agenda. If you vote for McCain, that means you aren’t voting because of policies, you’re voting out of spite and are just being a sore loser. BTW, I voted for hillary in the primaries, but am totally against Hillary supporters voting for Mccain. Like the guy 2 posts before me said, I just don’t like wars and hate to see civilians and troops die for oil.

  9. Na abro
There a classic old saying, A Mind is a terrible thing to Waste!!!!
First of all Obama has not agenda, he has no agenda,, LOOK at every debate,,, All he ever does is agree with Hillary, on all here issues and try to make it better,, Media already said his Health plan is worse than Hillary,, Obama does one thing good,, that is speak he a good narrator, Everyone reporting how he needs to get it together, he has nothing on the table, But people like you Need that I guess,,, and as soon as, HE screws the country up, you will not be there to take responsible,
I only vote democratic all my life, I always said it who would be better,, Does not matter, if democrat or republican,, who is best I will vote for him,, in this case,,, Obama will make this country worse, than bush, that is a fact, people like you will blindly vote for Obama because he makes you feel good, I guess if Hitler was A democrat your going to voter for him HHHHHHMMMMMMMM.
So tell me did you think OJ was indeed Innocent ,,, Did you really thing coby bryant did not rape that girl, do you really thing, Haley Berry does not remember Hit and running that person in Los Angeles, she cracked her head open and got 20 stitch’s on here forhead, Yet she does not have a scare at all,, not even traces of a scare,, Just sound like more double standards,

  10. Paul -
Your grammar and punctuation are atrocious. For you to use three commas instead of an ellipsis is amazing, and your capitalization is in dire need of improvement.
Further, McCain is a crazy person. He, on his own web page, insinuates that Obama’s desire to “unconditionally meet with anti-American foreign leaders” is a quality of a bad leader. But let us not forget past American presidents who have done so, and how those actions benefited not only our own nation, but the entire world. First, Richard Nixon. During his time as president, he met with the leaders of Soviet Russia and communist China, around 1972. Has opening up communications with either of these regimes hurt us? No, they haven’t. Second, Ronald Reagan. Had Reagan not met with Chancellor Kohn in the 1980s, Berlin and Germany might still be divided by that annoying wall that Reagan demanded be torn down. Clinton met with the leaders of Palestine and Israel in an attempt to foster better relations. I think it is clear that at least the leaders of communist China, East Berlin and Soviet Russia were anti-American at some point, so what is McCain saying? Does he not think highly of two of the Republican party’s greatest accomplishments of the last 50 years? Or is he so deeply involved with the American war machine that he’s willing to ignore these fantastic achievements of our past presidents so that he won’t risk having to be on peaceful terms with Iran, thus allowing our military to attack another nation, thereby filling the pockets of all those corporate giants who profit from our militaristic endeavors?
Why would you ever, EVER stop backing a democrat in favor of a fear-mongering war-lover who admits he knows nothing about the economy, wants to stay in Iraq, and is known for having an explosive temper?
Never mind, don’t answer that. You clearly have well-thought-out opinions and an objective stance from which you are observing the current political climate.
I don’t think Obama’s the answer either, but I can at least admit that he’s a MUCH MUCH better option than flip-flopper McCain.

BTW, did you know that George W. Bush is a 3rd generation war profiteer, and the grandson of Prescott Bush, who was not only a Nazi sympathizer (along with Walt Disney and Henry Ford), but also earned much of the Bush family’s current fortune through Hitler’s Nazi regime? Look it up, it’s true! [Thus is the myth of the "liberal media" debunked.]

  11. Also, it is spelled “Halle Barry”. Not “Haley”. OJ Simpson has nothing to do with this election. Kobe Bryant doesn’t spell his name with a “C” and also has nothing to do with this discussion.
I applaud your attempts at shifting the scope of the discussion away from matters of actual importance toward past matters of American judicial incompetence. Sadly, though, these things have nothing to do with our current election.
Stay focused on the principles at hand, and people will take your thoughts more seriously. Play the distraction card, as the media so often does, and people will ignore you.

Today’s lesson was sponsored by the letter “Y”, the number “08″ and the blood and sweat of all those soldiers who are dying needlessly in the Middle East.

P.S. Hitler was a Christian who supported the idea of overwhelming patriotism and strong Christian domestic values. Do these values sound anything like those of a particular president we currently have or any Republican candidates who are running against Obama?

  12. We all live in the same world. When you think of deaths, don’t think of American deaths, think of the whole world. How many innocent people have died in this war? Do you really think its fair to avenge the death of 3000 with death of 80,000? (That is if you believe there are ties between Iraq and Al-Qaeda.) The reason countries won’t accept aid from us is because we can’t get the hell out once we’re done with what we are supposed to. Right now, we need a president who will improve foreign relations so countries won’t be scared of us. All this talk about suspending habeas corpus is the worst thing to do. Like the guy before me said, this sounds a lot like Hitler. We are not Christian state, this country was founded on religious freedom and it should stay that way. People voting for a candidate because “He is a strong Christian” is the stupidest reason because they are not going to open a church for you, or have bible study in the white house.
We all know voting for anyone besides Obama or Mccain is throwing your vote away, so don’t bother wasting your time. But if you are a Hillary supporter and are voting for Mccain because of spite, then you should also stay home, then you are just as dumb as the idiotic raiding voters in open primaries.

  13. My punctuation is the only thing grabbing you and my 3,,, Well Show what kind of Moron you really are, This is a blogging page, People blog fast and move to the next Blog site,
But let just stick how stupid you really are,,,If you really think McCain going to start another war, or keep us in this one,,, You need go back to school this time try some Ebonics, Mite help you understand better,
McCain can not do anything, with out the Aproval of Congress, Obama can not do anything either with out congress,,, there hands are tied,,, domecrats had the controlling vote in congress for the last 2 years,,, and they still not getting it together,, What are you more sore about that Obama going to lose to McCain,,, Or Democrats fucked up again, Do you know it already showing McCain swaying Hillary Voter,, CNN & Abc are reporting that, still obama No agenda, and people like your self are still trying to convince Hillary supporter to back Obama, it not going to happen just like you will never do,,, Facts are this Obama Camp screwed up and they need Hillary Voters,, Even if Hillary did Back Barack,,, We are not stupid, I said this once I will say it again,, ON CNN & MSNBC there is video you can down load with Barack Obama member and voter saying if Barack Does not win the Primary… All Barack Obama supporter are going to Vote for McCain,,, now the shoe on the other foot,, All Hillary Voter at least half of them will not Vote For Barack Obama,, EvEn if he puts her on as his Vp slot,, we rather see him lose put up with McCain for only 4 years and Hillary will Run again,, Here is another fact if Florida and Michigan if there vote would of been counted at the very Beginning, Hillary would of already won the primary months ago with McCain, that is another fact the news are reporting, Media more and more everyday reporting the how Obama need to get something going other than his Bias two face rev wright speech’s
Obama a good talker, that all he has going, he able to fool the Simple minded Un-Educated people like your self, Soon the Barack Obama Magic show will be over,, in NOvember, Lets see how many of your lower class start fights and Riot,, That is a fact also

  14. Okay, so there are some dumb Obama supporters, but you are their hillary counterpart. You are talking about putting up with McCain just out of spite. If you say that Obama has same agenda as hillary, then there is no reason to not vote for him. BTW, Hillary knew michigan and florida wouldn’t count. At the beginning she acknowledged this fact, but later decided to change her mind when she realized that they need those states to win. Her campaign was losing money, but she decided to waste money campaigning in florida anyways. All the candidates decided together not to campaign in michigan, but she broke that pact. I am sure if others campaigned in michigan, they could’ve gotten some more delegates. Don’t spin the truth. Take the information provided by the media and discover the truth, not convey what they say.

And the whole rev. Wright’s issue: Obama has no control of what comes out of reverend wright’s mouth. I am sure everyone doesn’t agree with their ministers. PLEASE, just think for yourself after gather the facts. Don’t ramble on and on about what abc and cnn say.

  15. I told you try Ebonics,,, this is not out of spite, Barack Obama is not our Candidate,,, Just like Hillary was not yours,, Get over it. what is done is done,, what the Obama supporters did what Hillary supporters are doing,, doesn’t matter does it, Obama supporter got to quit with the double standards,,, Got to think got to think,,, forcing Hillary Voter not going to do it,, it is what it is,, If the Obama supporter would of said at the beginning,,,if Obama loses they will back Hillary did not happen, what was said on the new,, now you can see it anywhere on the internet, news station or YOUTUBE they said if Obama does not win the primary,, Obama supporter will vote for McCain,, FACT plain Fact, you need to live with that, ,, but if there a choice who is better,, Obama or McCain well me and 15 million Hillary voter are going to vote for McCain,, its our rights to vote for who we think is better. Obama will distroy this country.
Worse than bush,,,, Fact,, Hillar lost we got over it, Now its about saving this country from Barack Obama

  16. Pleas sign my online petition to Ron Paul for him to support Bob Barr for President at http://www.PetitionOnline.com/bob99999/petition.html

  17. What will obama do that is so different from hillary and mccain, that it will destroy the country?
I can’t believe this country is not listening to Ron Paul. The mainstream media does not cover the real candidates that are running to make actual changes, not politics.

  18. Obama is just a plain and simple liar, what he is saying what he going to do he going to make it worse, Barack will distroy the country. Just like him being on the new a few weeks ago. saying about the gas prices, HE SAID I WILL QUOTE I WISH GAS PRICES EVEN GO HIGER JUST NOT SO SOON, Then he talks about how he trying to keep people in there home, trying to get a agenda about the housing issues,,, but never the less, Jim Johnson who just quit was involved in the Country wide, loan scandal. what does Obama say,, I can not keep track of everyone on his campaign, If he can’t then he can’t run this country,, Every debate, he just agree with everyone never had a original ideal, Even the media is slowly catching on,, Obama is catering to the simple minded like your self, hoping no one catchs on,, there reporter in the news still asking people what does Obama stand for no one has a clue, Look after all this time, yet your going to blindly compare, between Hillary and Him,, Even McCain has a better agenda not much of one,, but guess what all mccain wants to do is keep the war going,, He can not start another war,, the let bush do that ,, it will not happen a second time around, so thing about it

  19. Obama should change his slogan to:

“OBAMA - Lies we can believe in.”

Ron Paul is the man of the decade if not the century. He would crush Obama in a debate if given the chance to do so, but the mainstream media will continue to ignore and ridicule him. Fortunately many people are waking up.

  20. Paul V,
I’d like you to meet my friend, his name is Proof Reading. Try it out once in a while.
I like to blog quickly just like the next person, but when I have my thoughts down, I typically re-read what I’ve written so that when people respond to my thoughts, they can respond intelligently to the substance of my writing and not the writing itself. You see, most people discredit peoples’ ideas if they aren’t presented in a relatively intelligent manner, as yours aren’t. You mess up tenses, plurals, capitalization, and then call those who would disagree with you “morons”? What gives you the right to insult anyone else’s intelligence or integrity when you aren’t even willing to go through your own thoughts and proofread them for literary quality? Why should anyone listen to what you have to say about American politics when you aren’t even willing to show us that you have a mastery (or even a high-school equivalent) of the English language?
Awaiting your justification of how you understand American politics and the secret goings-on of American politicians but not the language they speak,
    T. Paul V.

  21. is does not change the fact,, No one going to vote for Barack come on you guys can do way better than that,,,
What makes you people more upset, Hillary voter having the last word,
Or Knowing the truth about Barack Obama Why don’t you start Rioting now,, instead of complaining about blogs, or forcing your views,,,
I have not heard no one ever come back, and said Obama does has a agenda, this is what it is,, He has Hillary agenda that he is tweaking, to call his own, He does have criminals that work for him,
Why don’t someone tell me on here,, why they agree with Obama when he said on the new, that He wished that gas prices go higher, but just no so soon, Or how he is going to help the economy and keep people in there home, but Yet, He had Jim Johnson on his campaign, who was involved with the Country Wide Loan Scandal,, that is why he quit, Anyone of you can tell me that give me you best defense for barack I love hearing all your excuses, because when it happens again and again, you lose more credibility

  22. Don’t go fox news on us. Put it in context. When he said they should go higher, he meant high gas prices are inevitable, but they should go up more gradually, 30cents at once. If you are just gonna throw quotes around then here are some of McCain’s “It’s not social issues I care about.” “No, but that’s not too important. What’s important is the casualties in Iraq.”–When asked about when we would get out of Iraq.

I am sure getting out would decrease the casualties.

If you believe that Obama doesn’t have and agenda and he adopted Hillary’s, then you should have no problem supporting him. Don’t argue for the sake of argument. BTW, the way you are saying stuff isn’t Ebonics, its 4th grade-ish.

  23. I don’t watch fox’s news, I don’t watch bill Orielly I don’t watch Msnbc, Keith Obmerman, the orange face gay,, want to be news journalist, Your taking things out of context, Tell me what is his achievements,, No one seems to know except having the simple minded vote for him , a lot of people get caught up in that barack Obaama magic show,, here today gone tomorrow, he won the primary,, and still Democratic party is scared, that is why gore is supporting primaries are over and he endorsing Obama,, DUH,, trying to convince people he the one,,, Not really trying trying to brain wash more un-educated, that Obama going to win,,, that is how scared they are,,, McCain won you don’t see,, people after he won the primary people are endorsing him that is a given on the republican side,, Scare tactic, to the simple minded,,,

  24. It shouldn’t even matter for you, because by the way you type, i doubt that you are American. Even if you are, you probably aren’t old enough to vote.

From what i picked up, you are saying Democrats are voting for Obama because they are scared, not because they are against the war?
You tell me how you can support this war? The war is the biggest issue to most Americans and that is why Obama is going to win.

  25. Is this real, Ron Paul specifically against the obstruction to Ralph Nader being on the ballot?
If so, I just learned even more respect for Dr. Paul.
    http://www.lewrockwell.com/paul/paul194.html

  26. I am not sure, but that is commendable. The two parties have lost their way. The government isn’t for the people anymore. We need someone like Ron Paul, or anyone that wants this job to help society, not their own political gain.

  27. Wow, a Hillary supporter professing to back McCain in a Ron Paul forum seeking support,… how sadly misguided. As if backing Hillary wasn’t bad enough a judgment.

  28. Read on the only thing sad,, are the people backing Barack Obama and his Magic show, read other blogs on still no one can tell me what barack Obama stands for except Barack Obama, He has no agend, and people are just voting for him, well he has a long way to go to get to the white house, Attacks on Hillary and people who don’t back Obama are the sadist people,, love to attack so bitter in their lives Hillary lost, No one can say other wise,, but does not mean Hillary supporter have to back barack Obama. just like Barack supporter said they would not back Hillary

  29. I haven’t said anything, but i believe you are the most ignorant idiot i have heard from in a while. I voted for Ron Paul here in SC, but will vote for Obama. You claim he has no agenda. Either you refuse to do the research, or you are waiting for people to tell it to you. Please just read about it on wikipedia. You are one of those people who criticize at first, then learn the truth, but don’t admit your mistake. Your spelling and grammar is horrible. It doesn’t take that long to add a “y” in “you”. You said “Micheal obama on the email they can help ou”. I think you met Michelle Obama. Everyone criticizes her for things a normal wife does. Liz Trotta and Hillary talk about Barack getting killed and you expect the mother of his children to be silent about this? How are you going to criticize Barack’s spouse but ignore Bill’s misdoings and Cindy McCain stealing medicine from her own charity?
Here is Barack’s agenda, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barack_Obama#Political_positions , now find some other thing to complain about.

  30. While I would never consider voting for McCain, I fail to see how any previous supporter of Ron Paul (at least one that thouroughly understands the principles of limited government and free enterprise) could support Barrack Obama. Contrary to popular belief, Obama is not a “peace” candidate, but rather an avid supporter of interventionism as well as the United Nations. This should come as no suprise to anyone who has studied Obamas platform and ideaology which is explicetly egalitarian (which is to say socialistic) in nature. This is not to say that Obama is a modern day Stalin or Hitler or even Jimmyy Carter. Rather, it provides the prospective voter with valuable insight into what can be expected from an Obama administration. For better or worse (depending on your worldview and political disposition) an Obama presidency promises an increase in the progressive tax rate, increased enviormental regulation which will in turn lead to higher prices for all comodities and raw materials (i.e. oil), an assult on 1st, 2nd, 4th Ammendment rights (though it is hard to imagine how one could outdue the Bush Administration for erosion of the 4th ammendment),so called “free” healthcare and education, and the gradual erosion of U.S. sovereignty to the United Nations. Certainly one can have any number of opinions on weather the above would be good or bad for our country, but one can not fairly say that Ron Paul would approve of any of these policies. So I ask again; why exactly would a supporter of Paul poll the lever for Obama? Answers would be greatly appreciated.

  31. Realistically, the choice is between Obama and Mcccain, and between those two, i would choose obama any day. I agree about everything you have said about obama except for the progressive taxing because he plans on repealing the tax cuts to those make 250 plus. I would love a ron paul presidency, like hillary presidency, deal with obama presidency, but won’t be able to stand John McCain.

  32. barack obama for president

  33. I think it’s clear Paul V is not a native English speaker, so cut him some slack for that. But all these Hillary supporters voting for McCain is beyond me, its absolutely unbelievable! Obama and Clinton have the same agenda pretty much, so NOT voting for Obama must be out of spite. Just listen to the guy, he inspires me while talking about nothing…imagine if he was a true progressive.

Ron Paul is dead-on though, Obama is using the age-old tactic of referencing what ails us, while ignoring it when it comes to substance. The corporate political machine will not even be touched during this presidency, the military complex will remain intact.

When a looney lefty like me, shares 90 percent of Ron Paul’s ideas, society is certainly ripe for change. The people DO know how to spend their money better than the government. This is why we need a COMMUNITY based model of economics, that begins with a community bank lending to community businesses as decided byy…the community. If you agree go to http://www.commongoodbank.com and see what is being done to make this happen NOW.

  34. I will give you this,, Ron Paul is a better Candidate then Barack Obama or Hillary, I did vote for Hillary but that does not mean you have to vote for Barack Obama You want to vote for who is best for the job,, Barack Obama is not it, it not a spite thing,, I just don’t believe in voting for a person just because he a democrat, Everyone thinks since Hillary lost, by less then 200 delegates!! that everyone should blindly vote for Barack, Why should anyone of Hillary Voters Vote for a Empty suite, who Wife is a racist, whos preacher is a traitor, & Jim Johnson on his campaign, is involved in the country wide loan scandal, Not going to waste my vote on him, And once again Ron Paul is better than all of them,, but he don’t have a chance, So you got two candidate’s that or Worthless,, Obama and McCain,, if you want things to stay the same vote for McCain, if you want things to get worst,, Vote for Obama, I really do wished Ron Paul has a shot I would vote for him,

  35. Paul, continuing down this same path WILL make things worse, more social programs being cut, more wretched health care policies, and NO chance of the war being brought under control. Now, understand I have no faith Obama will do enough to fix these things, but at least he pays them lip service, and at the very least he can embolden us progressives and give us some minute government inroad to call for change.

Obama was at one time a true progressive and I think it shows in his passion, but unfortunately he has sold his soul to the powers that be when they asked him if he wanted to run for president. He’s our JFK, brought here to calm down those who are considering becoming more radical. McCain will do no good for us, with more people from the Bush regime, who were brought in from the Reagan regime. I mean please we have to at least send the message we aren’t going to stand for more secrecy, and let’s face it facism, as cliched as that word has become.

In any case, any Ron Paul supporter should really take a look at this new bank being created up in Massachusetts. It will empower communities to make investment decisions. But the road to chartering and opening is a difficult one, and the project needs everyone’s support. Fight for a true democracy and sign up http://www.commongoodbank.com

  36. Obama health care is a joke it worse than McCain and hillary
Congress has the controlling body, and it can not get it under control. who ever is president, will not be able to make to war better or worse, that is a fact, if and that is if Obama because president, after his 4 years is up,, with a controlling congress troops will still be there, That is a simple fact ,, he will bring a lot of troops home ,, but half will still be there, Even Obama know this, and said it, but yet he still say he going to bring troops home because that is what people like you moron, want to hear, Obama knows that fact talked about it, How come you don’t , Remember Obama is just a Empty suite, who want to be the first black man for president, after that,, he not going to do anything for this country, that will be a fact

  37. Why call names? Simple fact 1) - half the troops home is better than zero troops home. Simple fact 2) - All presidents are empty suits, its about the people behind them. Simple fact 3) - Breaking the gender barrier is more monumental than the race barrier…so get over it, and don’t let that crap cloud your judgment. SO WHAT, if he wants to be the first black president. Simple fact 4) - Obama’s health care is very very similar to Hillary’s, in fact everything he wants to do is very very very similar to what Hillary wants to do… so why not vote for someone who is essentially the mirror image of your candidate, down to the barrier breaking.

  38. I’d like to know why Hitlery or Obama voters would be attracted to posting here at a Dr. Paul site to begin with. McCain, Hitlery, and Obama are all cut from the same mold. They vote the same way and are told what to do by the same puppeteers. I would rather not vote than be presented the choice of turd A or crap B. And for those who say if you dont vote than you cant complain, Bullshit, Its my right to do whatever I want.

I just dont understand how anyone in their right minds could support any of the major leading candidates. EEEESH

  39. There has been a recent surge in progressivism, or alternative ways of thinking. Ron Paul represents the republican side, as Kucinich does with the democrats, Huckabee was the more mainstream progressive republican candidate, as John Edwards was. And then your left with McCain, Hillary, and Obama. I get the feeling the presidential race is nothing but a big poll measure for the powerful people to see how much bullshit we are actually willing to consume, or rather what KIND of bullshit. By the amount of support obama has gotten, we can see that people still aren’t going away from the corporate media to get their information, but still feel a great uneasiness about the state of society.

So, the H&O voters are here because, like I said earlier people want change, and Paul offered a clear-headed, specific way of changing things. Although, I agree with most of his goals, I might disagree to some extent on how to get there on a few of them.

And while Obama and McCain are both controlled by elite institutions and will move towards a frighteningly unaccountable centralization of authority outside of nations, one will do it a bit nicer than the other. So, my advice would be do vote, and do vote for Obama, with the understanding that we should be working to change the entire system, and Ron Paul, God Bless the man, is doing what he can to do just that.

So, we are supporting the sadly best realistic candidate, and working to fix our communities. And that process begins by establishing a community bank focused exclusively on democracy and partnering with local businesses to create incentives for people to buy and invest locally. This ultimately gives people MORE control and MORE power over their own lives. Check out http://www.commongoodbank.org to see a dedicated project on making this happen.

I don’t mean to push the project so hard, but it goes right along with what many clear-headed people are worried about. So, do check it out, and offer your analysis through emails, and sign up if you are convinced you’d want to put your money into a supportive, not destructive bank.

  40. Our Second Best and Only Real Choice: Warning Overlords

Our only public candidate who would be better than Obama,
is the truest patriot Ron Paul,
who confounds both left and right -
    a republican libertarian,
    a true Thomas Jefferson.

But the right fears him because
he’s too fundamental even for the fundamentalists.
    He really believes the Constitution.
He’s read it, just like Kucinich and Obama have,
and he respects it with courage not seen for two centuries.
    He’s against big government,
but also against big money calling the shots.
He’s against abortion, but would not legislate so personal a liberty.
He’s against the war because it’s an unconstitutional imperialist occupation and mass murder.
Isn’t it ironic how pro-lifers want to be pro-war?
Apparently it’s OK to kill any number of people, no matter how innocent, once they’re born.
    That’s righteousness for you.

Bankers and owners of the world fear him right and left because
he would abolish the illegal income tax and the private Fed manipulation,
stop the endless printing of shrinking dollars and horrendous burial in debt,
and end the real slavery, false welfare, and usury of us all
by ending the power-serving Big Brother tyranny our government has become.
Our government was created to be our servant, remember?
    Not the other way around.

The left fears him not only because he’s Republican,
but because he would abolish government restraints on enterprise and the environment and climate.
But he would also stop the suppression of innovative ideas and energies
that threaten the exploiting, polluting cash-cow industries,
and let people’s real choices in real freedom make the market.
Yes, people would choose clean cold fusion were it allowed to be real, as it is.
Ask Japan and Italy.  They know.  Ask Ed Storms, Los Alamos vet and courageous leader of LENR.

The real rulers, the owl-worshipping Murdochs and Kissingers, fear freedom above all, and loss of their authority.  Make no mistake, the already-crippled Constitution is their sworn enemy.

They know that people, if given a chance, will choose
    self-determination over propaganda and programming.
They know many people still have hope that truth will save the world for their children.

Ron Paul is too much of a shock for too many to yet be viable, but people are learning! If he ever gets close, watch out - he’ll need a king-sized guardian angel.

Barack Obama taught the Constitution, and is a literate, visionary man of real character and principle with right desire, respect for freedom, and the courage of truth.  He knows much of Ron Paul’s truth.
That’s more than enough for a dawn in this darkness.

Barack is our best hope available - he is viable, he wants to change government by do-able degrees, and he has a huge guardian angel - millions of passionate people’s support in desperate times.  He will be President.  Warning Overlords: Go ahead and try to corrupt him; please compromise with him, but don’t you dare martyr him - you will then lose all authority, We the People promise you.

    You must allow some change.

    Ron for VP?

  41. Of course you would have harsh words for Obama, Mr. Paul. We all know how you feel about African-Americans….you think they’re all criminals, right?

  42. You would say that ,, I have a lot of black friend, And I do think this country is ready for a black president, Just not Barack Obama,

People like you are dangerous, if they say wben a candidate does criminal act,, there racist, it has nothing to do with the color of there skin, it has to do, with criminal acts, and if they are right for the job, YOuR one of those barack obama voters if you don’t vote for barack your a racist right,, that is so funny to me more,,,

Well let me educate you a little bit more, Most black don’t like being Called, African American, that implies that they lived in africa and became us citizens The correct term, is african Decent,,
There so many famous black people who like using the correct term,
For someone who supports black candidate with criminal Ties, you should get it right, or even worse, if you are a black person,
Then the only thing I would say at this point, Barack has so many un-Educated Morons voting for him why would you add to there numbers,, Also try reading the news,, YOu do know barack did refuse to denounce Rev: wright until he had to ANd even then he did it under protest, Rezko the slum lord , who was indited,,,we are still going to find out what going to happen to that,

Don’t for Micheal Obama, has who is not proud of her country, I love how everyone say it now what she means or said, when I have the video of her saying that,

Don’t for get a few weeks ago Jim Johnson who was in charge of finding a VP for barack he had to quit, because, His involvement of Country WIde Loan Scandal he is involved in,, Let go even go further,, All the democrats been voting against the patriot act, so big companies are not allowed to spy on us, Barack Just Voted for it, Why do you think that, Well this way he can get information on other people to keep presidency if he wins,,,

Also why did Barack say in a interview He wishes gas prices go even higher, just not so soon, and want to raise even more tax’s for Americans

And Why did Obama steal and make a SEAL for him that look like the commander & chief ,,, an office he is trying to run for, There many people who have SEals,, Hitler & Stalin, , Your right about one thing,
I don’t have what it takes to vote for Barack Obama, BUt YOu sure do Sam, I hope you do vote for Barack this is what I call a free country,, until Barack becomes prez, Me and most Hillary supporter will vote who we want, and you By all means and Please do vote for Barack Obama,,,, remember when he Ruins this country,, be the one and stand up and say yes I voted him, BUT NO you will tell everyone like most rest of them, I never voted for him,
    Good Luck LOL

  43. This message is for Dr Paul, we are approaching an election in which one of two men will be our president. Obama and McCain are different as night and day (no pun intended). Wouldn’t you think that it would suit a constitutionalist moreso to lean democrat in this case giving the shared positions on war healthcare and poverty held by Obama and Dr. Paul. I wish you were running sir and I wish you had a chance to win without a major party behind you but for now reality is reality. Anyway my point is why not reach out to Obama and try to instill and educate on some of these economic and constitutional issues we all care so deeply about. I believe in you Dr. Paul I only hope it will be enough to save us from the neocons.

  44. I wil never again vote for the best of the worst. I am voting for Ron Paul. I will write in my vote if he is not on the ballot. Neither of the other two are a choice of any kind. I’ve told people about the “Fed” and other things over the last thirty years, and was called a conspiracy wacko plus other choice terms. I have lived to see myself vindicated. Ron Paul is the only vote of integrity. We should also march in mass on our own state capitols. Let them know we are sick of their corruption. A famous quote said something about if the people only knew what we (those in power in washington)have done, the trees along the main avenue world be bending low with those hung for their crimes. Justice is necessary. Those in power have flown in drugs to sell to those lost or those seeking elicit pleasures, for filthy money to corrupt other countries clandestinely and do not care what happens here. To dominate a populace you overpower which angers them and they will fight no matter the outcome, or you corrupt so they no longer stand. Most do not even know there is a war going on for the very soul of this country. The bodies go first. Corrupt them, and then the soul, the mind follows.
The statue of Liberty has under her feet the chains wherewith she was chained. She walks over them to liberty, and turns to offer liberty to the world. To free us she must inspire our minds to the smell of freedom. WE have become so used to the chains of drugs, entertainment, gambling, sex/pornography, violence.Distractions cover the smell of the muck.
Ron Paul is that breath of fresh air, and more.Vote for the only real choice. Pray that God will clean out that which is destroying this country, and allow a man of real integrity to lead. I am ready to actively follow.

  45. I have a good idea. Why doesn’t Ron Paul run for Vice President with McCain? At least 5% of the population would vote for him if for no other reason. But then maybe when McCain’s face falls off we will see he is an alien and be sceptical of Ron Paul.(what about those short little arms on McCain?) Of course we still need Ron Paul in the Senate keeping all those other guys on their toes. Let’s just vote for Chuck Baldwin and ask him to appoint Ron Paul as the Secretary of the Treasury.

  46. I have an idea to whomever will be the president of this countries mess. The issue is a possible solving of the immigration issue. That is, not making it a crime, but making it into a win win situation. The illegals would be paid differently than naturalized willing citizens. They would be paid the same only they would be issued different currency(US PAY certificates) that could be redeamed at a local state redemption center, that would tax it accordingly and give them options for green cards or citizenship also teach them the english language if they wish to learn it. Also any US employer of all kinds would have to pay them with these certificates(to be purchased from any given state office),
that will change colors every month just like your DMV tags. I have thought this through very carefully, and I can’t see how it would harm this country in any way. It just might relieve a lot of pressure from this over amplified topic that the media keeps on pounding. Best of luck withis idea if any good president is elected to this republican massive failre and ruse!

  47. Ron Paul says plenty.

Re: do not change minds. They add noise to the channel.

    Move with momentum friends.

  48. Of this race I find Paul and Obama (and now Binden, who I actully think is a man of deep integrity) to be the most honest.

Hillary is an ego-centric and McCain seems to believe that it is more important to the American people to leave Iraq with victory than to accept the fact that most mothers and fathers would rather have their children come home from a war to secure oil in a nation which never was a military threat. Bush lied to the American people and McCain doesn’t have the desire to call it like it is.

I would have voted for Paul, but that’s not the choice I’m given, so I’ll have to go for Obama. He may be inexperienced, but some times an experienced person can be the most dangerous. In my mind McCain is experienced at being comfortable with interests other than those of the American public running the show. I honestly think he, as Bush, will act as a puppet.

For the love of God, the man didn’t even know how to “use” the internet only months back. How can such a person understand the geopolitical aspects of a world in which communication via the net has created a new worldview? His time has passed, and if he picks Romney as his VP, I am sorry to say that the Obama/Biden ticket is more likable, dynamic, diverse, interesting, and in the end, likely to win.

It’s really too bad Paul isn’t leading the Rep. ticket.
