A week ago, Warren Buffett rescued Goldman Sachs by injecting $5 billion in capital. Did Buffett bargain for warrants that can be exchanged at an unknown later date for nonvoting shares? No: He is not a fool. Buffett gave Goldman Sachs $5 billion in return for senior preferred stock, the kind that votes and also is more valuable than ordinary shares. That is to say, he used his money to buy something. Goldman can now employ the cash to fix its liquidity problems. The United States Congress and the White House should use the public’s $700 billion to buy something, namely senior preferred shares. Why are Congress and George W. Bush not simply following the road map laid out on this problem by the smartest investor of our era? Either Congress and the president are a bunch of blithering fools — or what they actually want is to insure the public’s money is never seen by the public again.

“This method of thinking is like your views on religious freedom. Granted I know there is a major difference between practicing religion and butchering the unborn. I just don’t believe it is a topic for our government to to regulate.”

I could not have said it better, Over turning Roe v Wade lends itself to religious tyranny rather than freedom of choice.

You will not win this election by by pretending to support individual freedoms and injecting your religious beliefs upon the citizenry.

I’m a bit confused now about who to cast a vote for since Ronbo is no longer a candidate. He is probably the only person that could possibly be elected by popular vote even if we have to write him in.

I could stand a little counseling here. Your thoughts here will be appreciated.

How can you people be so cavalier? You’re rushing to a decision to “vote for Baldwin” simply because Dr. Paul has endorsed him. PLEASE READ ABOUT BALDWIN AND THE CONSTITUTION PARTY before jumping in. That party is undergirded by more than simply the tenents of our constitution. It is not “purely” constitutional by any means.

Wake up, people! I like Dr. Paul, too. But I will not vote for a candidate that rests on RELIGIOUS laurels rather than SPIRITUAL reason and wisdom.

I congratulate you Mr. Baldwin on your endorsement from a very respected individual. This will be my first year voting for a third party candidate. I wish you the best of luck!

I also disagree with the issue of abortion. Even though unmoral, the government cannot take away the right for a woman to decide. In an interview, Dr. Paul said this is an issue that should be left up to the local State Governments. To finalize, multiple studies show legalizing abortion reduces crime rates in the long run.

Chuck I agree with everything you stand for except the issue of abortion. I have always viewed a government “of the people” to be much like a friend. A friend has the right to tell another that having an abortion is bad for both the future of the child and puts the woman’s body through a lot of stress, but has no right to force the woman to not have a choice.

This method of thinking is like your views on religious freedom. Granted I know there is a major difference between practicing religion and butchering the unborn. I just don’t believe it is a topic for our government to to regulate.

Also, this subject is a divisor of our nation. It is what the duopoly use to keep the voters voting one way or the other without the voter considering many of the other issues. Basically, issues such as abortion have become the main debate of the big politicians so that we remain ignorant to all the important issues that they do not want to talk about.

If you actually read this I appreciate your time.
