Please vote no for the Auto Bailout–
If they fail–they will begin anew the next day without the Unions and then be able to add new technology without corrupt unions dictating each move. Please allow the American People to show their ingenuity and strength that has made this country the finest in the world.

A lot of people (on other websites) are upset about this column. However, on second reading there are two points that catch the eye.

Most importantly, this is the first time that Ron Paul has uncharacteristically based an entire column on “hope”. Is he trying to tell us something? “Hope”, of course, was one of Obama’s surprisingly captivating yet utterly meaningless one-word slogans: http://www.barack-obama-sua.info/barack-obama-hope/

Second, Ron Paul writes, “A free society emphasizes the importance of individuals, and not because they are part of a certain group.” Yet, he doesn’t even mention Barack Obama (an individual) by name… not even once throughout the entire column! And one would be hard pressed to describe Obama in a less personal and colorblind way than “our first African-American president-elect”.

Here’s hoping that these hidden hints are nothing other than the Paulian version of “and yet it moves”.

I agree… we all need to remain active and spread the message, now more so than ever before.

    Jacob,

The last sentence of your comment rubbed me the wrong way. (I think I can safely assume you didn’t mean it how I interpreted it, but..) To rephrase: “I hope all that believe in individual liberties and uphold the constitution will keep up the fight and remain powerful voices for peace and freedom.”

I hope much of the same, but let’s be realistic… Obama was member of a radical black church for two decades, he is a socialist who wants to spread the wealth around, and he swore eternal allegiance to the Zionist warmongers. Unless Obama applies some of that “change” to himself we’re in for a very tough 4-8 years. I hope Ron Paul keeps up the fight and remains our much needed voice for peace and freedom.
