If the people let the government do what it wants, we deserve the government we have. But I think everyones too busy enjoying their Big Macs, broadband internet or just too lazy to do anything about it. Lets face it, most of the people in the US aren’t exactly the same people who tied a couple of logs together and sailed away with their middle fingers in the air saying “screw you Britan!”.

It’s going to take yet another 4 years at least of the same bull crap to get people thinking about whats really going on and vote better next time. That is if the dollar doesn’t crash by then. It could happen, Bush was a perfect model of what not to vote for and people voted for Obama because they couldn’t see the similarities between them.

I am ticked off about this bill..the “stimulus” plan will erode the dollar to zero…Dr. Paul is the only person in congress who makes any LOGICAL sense!!

I can’t STAND the fact the govt will have access to MY medical records!!

The Obama admin. makes it clear..they are all about govt. CONTROL and less power to the people where it BELONGS.. Keep your nose out of my medical records, computer and phone calls!!!!!!!

All I ever hear from Ron Paul is what he is against. When I see him on TV I think….is this guy serious? He simplifies everything, deconstructs every issue so much that the most important details are ignored…of course its all done in an effort to appeal to the less intelligent among us who sit in their backyards spouting similar bumper sticker philosophies. You dont like taxes? Ok, Im against taxes. You dont like anyone knowing anything about you? Ok, Im against public records. His ideas sound like those of a pissed off 15 year old trying to rebel against his parents. Im so glad he has no chance of ever being elected.

The reason why you hear about what he’s against is because the government over extends their authority. Ron Paul may sound like a rebelious teenager, but he’s got reason to be upset, we have an ALL POWERFULL government. If thats what our founding fathers wanted for America, then why did they rebel against Britan like a bunch of rebelious teenagers? It’s better than being a aimless teenager who knows nothing about whats going on.

I chuckle when I read : Obama should learn, should pay attention, must understand, etc, etc. Obama and his teams know very well what they are doing and are relying on asleep american voters to buy in all this. If you don’t have any money, more so if you already owe a truckload of money and you are spending more than you steal (collect), it should not be hard to understand that you can not spend anymore. And yet, we will, but we will mostly spend on companies that no one elso think has survival potential. And the Obama team will tell us that it is a “good investment”. And 4 years from now, he will be re-elected with a greater majority. When a person can take advantage of the stupidity of the crowd, he/she is amart person the same as someone buying shares in an otherwise good companiees that people are selling out of panic. This is how John Templeton made money for his investors. The differences between him and Obama was that he was honest.

    Stimulus/Bail out is For Scoundrels

American Economic Policy Makers and Politicians for last 4 decades have been designing economic policies for Social Engineering for the benefit of Pro Israeli Elites controlling big Businesses rather than designing them for the benefit of its common citizens. In 1960’s they tried to end poverty through “Federal Spending” by giving funds to preferred institutions and individuals, in 70’s mantra was “Control on Money Supply” can solve every problem, in 80’s the buzz word was Tax incentives to incompetent businesses supporting corrupt politicians, in 90’s Alan Greenspan come up with a new mantra that by tinkering “Federal Reserve Interest Rates” one can have a robust sustainable long term growth along with man made scams like tech bubble, Enron, real estate burst, banking scams and then came another dacoit from Wall Street Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson with a Recipe made of tax payers money called “Bail out” for trillions to be given to his friends managing financial institutions who had lost rather stolen trillions from banks all over the world using American financial institutions.

Now comes Timothy Geithner a quasi-criminal tax dodger rewarded with the post of Treasury Secretary; the successor of Bail Out Paulson along with a media created President of America Obama who can hardly spell Economy with a new manta “Stimulus Package” with Tax Payers money to all those who have brought this country to Bankruptcy and those who are not paying any taxes. Both Obama & Geithner with Congress full of economy idiot scoundrels are going to socialize America in 4 years what the successive administrations could not do in last 40 years. Obama-Geithner are going to encourage more and more people not to work by writing them checks for not working obviously they have never paid any taxes. All the money will be handled by financial institutions that have no credibility at all. All of this is hailed by main stream media, economist, market analyst and whole bunch of scoundrels who could not warn the hard working common individuals that your retirement money and savings are systematically stolen by big businesses with the help of US Politicians and Bureaucrats.

US Financial institutions have no credibility for a simple reason the Managers have not been punished for taking their companies in the gutters by loaning money to those who should not be given any loan in the first place. Neither the regulators have been punished for not supervising the Managers nor the Politicians; Democrats as well as Republicans have been punished for not punishing the regulators and Managers. Rather Managers are every day being rewarded by US Treasury and politicians from both sides of the isle with tax payer’s money using the same set of regulators as the Supervisors.

Team Obama’s proposed $1 trillion stimulus package will prove a drop in the ocean. We will see after Banks & Auto Industry; Private Pension Funds, State Governments and host of other Industries asking for Stimulus Packages/Bail Outs with Tax payer’s money. Obama’s contention that America ’s roads and bridges are crumbling and by spending on infra structure projects Economy can be revived is a baloney. The value of every asset from Shares, Debentures, Bonds, real estate, commodities, Cars and oil etc has fallen and are falling every day. This has destroyed demand and to make the economy worse the Banks are not lending because they have some thing to hide. They have more off balance sheet loses than what they have made public.

Obama and his advisors are not paying any attention to the 1990’s similar Bank Scams in Japan and the government bailed out its banks with tax payer’s money. In the same manner America is handling its massive Bank Scams by rewarding them with tax payer’s money. There were 7-8 stimulus packages for massive infra structure projects but each failed to revive Japan’s economy for more than a decade because no serious efforts were made to reform the financial sector and big money dependent politics. It was its corporate sector with export of goods all over the world which saved Japan from disaster. How the massive construction projects can revive US economy which is 85% service oriented? How will team Obama by building Bridges and Roads open up the frozen credit markets?

Team Obama must understand the money they want to spend must come from somewhere; from Surplus (which we don’t have), revenue (revenue is less than the expanses), from Lenders (no country wants our promissory notes or dollars because they not even worth to be used as toilet paper) and lastly by raising taxes. Here again we have a problem people are already been taxed to the maximum.

So only remedy left if junkies are running this government which they are; is to print money by ignoring the fact that each additional dollar printed will reduce the value of every dollar already in circulation. Ultimately it will produce hyperinflation which can lead to social unrest at such a scale which no one has seen for centuries in an industrialized nation. So the Americans must say “NO” to any Stimulus Packages or Bail outs. They must reduce the size of the government at all levels, cut down spending and start saving for the sake of their future and for the future of their coming generations.

Let’s start with New Jersey a state in 8,000 sq miles for 8.5 million people with 588 Governments feeding to 9,000 Elected scoundrels and 400,000 employees with little or no work appointed for political reasons. Think of the legacy cost for the scoundrels ruling New Jersey, staggering billions of dollars. All of this can be cut by putting no more than 30 governments with less than 150,000 employees and less than 1,000 elected officials. Take this mantra to every town, municipality and state of America; cut the size of the government at all levels, cut down expanses on things which we can not afford, stop giving charity to foreign counties like Israel and Pakistan who are using it for state sponsored terrorism and we must start saving for our future and the future of America.

Call them. Call all of them in your state. They will know exactly what you are talking about if you say you oppose the Stimulus package, you don’t like the direction the money is going, and you REALLY don’t appreciate that it will ultimately be coming from you, so nononono. Some of the reps will argue with you, I have found, some say thank you, some ask for your zip and tell you to call your own rep, and others want your full name and address. It’s a crap shoot out there…oh, and remind them, that you are calling as their employer, a voting, tax-paying, citizen of the USA.

My level of frustration rises every time I get another “we’re so sorry you’re so stupid” letter from my so-called representatives. I can honestly say that I have never been so disgusted with my government. I’m a fairly average representative of the fairly average American and I am leaning more and more towards revolution. The power mongers can only push so far before enough people stand up and say no more. I pray that we are quickly approaching that point in our history.

Would someone please tell me why our lawmakers are consistently volleying for their own interests on bills that are designed (even if foolishly so) to help the American people.

Allow me to clarify by saying that I personally think some of the corporations and conglomerates that face extinction in this recession need to move to the side to allow for new growth. I feel that saving them is the last thing we nee to be doing.

Disclaimer aside, why must congress be bribed into passing a bill. Shouldn’t they have the best interest of our nation in mind during a national crisis rather than the interests of their next term election, or eve more than side project funding (Americorps)?

We have absolutely no reason to re-elect any of the current leaders in our house and senate with a few exceptions.
I have a feeling that if being a Senator or Representative was a position of esteem and not profit, we could re-align the focus more easily. Let’s change their pay to that of a US Army Major and see how many go up for re-election next term. (It pays about $6700 a month with this years annual pay raise included.)

Oh wait, Congress makes up it’s own pay! Who let that happen? That sounds like a law worth changing.

“So this is how liberty dies, with thunderous applause.”

I almost can’t take it anymore. It’s coming to the point where I don’t know if I should kill myself or argue with somebody until they kill me. Nobody cares about basic freedom anymore. They think they’ve lived beyond it, they think it’s okay to give a little here and there as long as they can wake up every morning and PLAY WITH THEIR IPOD.

The American people deserve everything that is coming to them and ALL OF US STANDING HERE SAYING WE TOLD YOU SO will only have those words to cling to until “the statue of liberty is kaput.”

Here’s part of a poem. Written by one of C4L’s Members.

“Is the embarrassment that dare to crimson
the maiden cheek of liberty, eluding thee?
While I’m standing at the far end of the concert hall
    Begging for a curtain call
From an applauding audience that doesn’t even get it at all
And where stands the orchestrator, deviator
Officiator of a deed a he dare not face but still stands tall?
I saw him in the elevator on his way from the theater
Liberty fled the borders and he’s promised he’d meet her
She said something about the Middle East
They want to start a new life says he
    And are uninterested in company
But such untolds as they unfold are quite unfit
    For polite society
…And so dies democracy inside of me
With the rise of the theocracy of the Dollar’s Priests
    While huddled masses through overpasses
Move silently along, to the tune of a siren song
Foretelling of an age when freedom ends
With the single lyric, “Spend, spend, spend”
Is this the kind of life our boys are dying to defend?”

Geeze I don’t know what people are worried about. we have a new president its not bush so everything is going to be fine. wasn’t that what this election was about not voting in bush even though he couldn’t run.. Oh but wait McCain is bush because he is a republican

[republican middle of the road voters thinking = Mitt wasn't a republican he was that fast talking GQ guy from MA he must be liberal, Ron Paul he wasn't with the party originally so he can't be voted for whats a liberian party member again anyway?? Constitution yeah John Hancock wrote it.. huckabee he's too religious we need someone with less morale ethics]

so we have to vote for the new young guy with great inspiring speeches he is not a republican so he is nothing like bush. he will work for us honestly and wholeheartedly and make no mistakes… this is why a 2 party system fails each group just gets control and does what ever they want until the people finally wake up, usually just long enough to vote in the one election (nevermind all those other ones for state congress seats, senate and house seats, they don’t matter) and say hey we don’t want this then they just select whoever the other leading party guy is and we sit watching this cycle go on and on.

The only way i see this cycle stopping is if we get a great leader in as one of the two big party members and then after his/her first term he steps out from the party and runs on his own ticket if he truely worked for the people and did well they would support him/her then we would have the first 3rd party member elected another huge step in history.

Obama is doing the same damn thing that was just done but somehow now it is right. oh yeah “he” (bush didn’t sign anything stating the pull out would happen in 2011 nope) is taking out troops from Iraq and sending them home,.. ahem.. cough.. I mean afghanistan, pakistan.. maybe Iran ahh whatever its not Iraq he is now my hero because american children and husbands/wifes will be safe because things are so friggen safe here at home we don’t have people dying on the streets woman being raped kids being abused right here dailey. We’ll all be safe as long as we get out of iraq. we just need to go to a different country to get all that money from goverment contracts and infra-structure rebuilding.

yes I am growing more cynical and sarcastic everyday and I will only follow actions that bring about hope not words, to many people tend to break their spoken promises.

Perhaps we need to learn from Obama organizational skills and money raising techniques. Ron Paul’s message has broad appeal because it is based in principles we have learned to love. The next step is to create an agenda to which adherents could contribute small amounts to advance the agenda. His agenda should state the immediate goal, why it is important and how it will be acheived. It should be emailed to all adherents with a request to contribute a small amount.

With each item, a webpage should explain how the money collected is being spent to acheive the goal.

        Greetings,
I read your email about Obamas fundraising skills. Obamas fundraising skills are set in very powerful & wealthy families. They funded his campaign for Illinios Senate & the Presidency. Nonetheless, we know the problem, and I beleive you have a peice of the solution. We do need to have a monthly contribution option for C4L. Critiqe is a good thing. We are at heart, a bottom up organization not top down, so we need the wisdom of the independent individuals.
You should contact the C4L Headquarters & tell them your suggestions.
