Ron Paul Reloaded

Watch Ron Paul’s original “What if” speech.

Ron Paul: “Madam Speaker, I have a few questions for my colleagues.

What if our foreign policy of the past century is deeply flawed and has not served our national security interest?

What if we wake up one day and realize that the terrorist threat is the predictable consequence of our meddling in the affairs of others, and has nothing to do with us being free and prosperous?

What if propping up repressive regimes in the Middle East endangers both the United States and Israel?

What if occupying countries like Iraq and Afghanistan and bombing Pakistan is directly related to the hatred directed toward us?

What if someday it dawns on us that losing over 5,000 American military personnel in the Middle East since 9/11 is not a fair tradeoff with the loss of nearly 3,000 American citizens no matter how many Iraqi, Pakistanian, Afghan people are killed or displaced?

What if we finally decide that torture, even if called “enhanced interrogation technique”, is self-destructive and produces no useful information and that contracting it out to a third world nation is just as evil?

What if it is finally realized that war and military spending is always destructive to the economy?

What if all war-time spending is paid for through the deceitful and evil process of inflating and borrowing?

What if we finally see that war-time conditions always undermine personal liberty?

What if Conservatives who preach small government wake up and realize that our interventionist foreign policy provides the greatest incentive to expand the government?

What if Conservatives understood once again that their only logical position is to reject military intervention and managing an empire throughout the world?

What if the American people woke up and understood that the official reasons for going to war are almost always based on lies and promoted by war propaganda in order to serve special interests?

What if we as a nation came to realize that the quest for empire eventually destroys all great nations?

What if Obama has no intention of leaving Iraq?

What if a military draft is being planned for for the wars that would spread if our foreign policy is not changed?

What if the American people learned the truth, that our foreign policy has nothing to do with national security, that it never changes from one administration to the next?

What if war in preparation for war is a racket serving the special interests?

What if President Obama is completely wrong about Afghanistan and it turns out worse than Iraq and Vietnam put together?

What if Christianity actually teaches peace and not preventive wars of aggression?

What if diplomacy is found to be superior to bombs and bribes in protecting America?

What happens if my concerns are completely unfounded?

But what happens if my concerns are justified and ignored?

Nothing good.

And I yield back the balance of my time.”

I thought this video was amazing … totally gets you pumped up. I would be really cool to see a series of these. I do agree with others thou at times the music is a bit too loud and its hard to hear him over it.

  • Ditto with the tears! Awesome vid… I’m spreadin’ it…

  • This video is great (aside from some volume \ leveling issues)! I just about had tears in my eyes by the end…

I haven’t looked into the Ron Paul “message” since the election gave us a choice for either bad or worse. I really don’t care for politics, but if they actually talked sense as Ron Paul does in all of the videos I’ve seen on this site, I would be much more interested and involved.

Please continue to spread your message. I know I will try to spread it as well as best I can.

I think this video is a great attempt — but Ron Paul’s words are lost in music that is either too loud or too distracting. Love the idea — just tweak it a bit.

  • Vince

Can the US electorate pull a ‘GRAY-DAVIS’ (ala CALIFORNIA) and recall OBAMA and put RON PAUL in as president?

  • Bill MGee

The radical leftward swing of the pendulum opens the doors for a man of solidity and integrity and reason and resolve, like you, Dr. Paul. After four years of high taxes and worse deficits and a dismal economy, this nation will be ready for a man who holds out the “shining city on the hill” vision rather than the bleak defeatist rhetoric we hear today, I hope your voice will continue to be heard during this period. Perhaps it’s a great opportunity!

One small constructive criticism to make it more effective: I had trouble hearing Ron Paul’s words after the heavier rock started playing. The need to be equalized a little better so the message isn’t lost.

Such a great visual of his speech! Thanks for making this!

    • Hans

Agreed. Music is WAY too loud… tone it down and the video would be great.

Ron,your logic strikes at the core of this debacle. What if the Fed Res did not exist and resources were spent on education instead of creating debt? What if money was spent on research and development instead of going to war? What if people had more time to enjoy family life instead of servicing debt?
The Federal Reserve has not only destroyed the USA in it’s avarice,it has destroyed itself by attacking our common humanity.
Ron your words are beginning to resonate around the world.Your humble, simple logic will prevail!

I love this video! amazing job of the words and visuals! RON PAUL R3VOLUTION!
