And his claims show his complete ignorance. Jefferson is rated worse than Clinton because at the time of Jefferson it was “normal” to follow the Constitution. And why was there even a good Constitution? BECAUSE OF THOMAS JEFFERSON. Without Jefferson the USA would have been just another totalitarian European style country.

In the 2nd video of this series, Mr. Eland names Martin Van Buren as one of the top 5 presidents in American history because of Van Buren’s limited government policies. This, despite Van Buren’s enforcement of the Trail of Tears, his support of the slave trade during the Amistad incident, and his refusal to protect Latter-day Saints (Mormons) from mob violence. All of this was to maintain electoral votes, which was unsuccessful as he lost the election of 1840. Whatever notoriety Van Buren gained through executive restraint was lost by his unwillingness to protect human life and liberty on American soil.
