I firmly believe that free trade is not in our best interest as it has served to greatly diminish our manufacturing base, which has cost the U.S. millions of jobs resulting in high unemployment and more people on the dole, which also means that more taxes have to be garnered by the government in order to pay for these services. There is obviously less taxes going into the coffers, which to reiterate, puts more strain on taxpayers resulting in less purchasing power. This free trade hoax, which has been perpetrated on the American people by our own government which is heavily influenced by globalists(i.e., the international banking cartels and other businesses), has brainwashed the American people via the mainstream media which they own/control. As the U.S. economy goes down the tubes, we lose our sovereignty to this New World Order, which does not care about any country, but only about amassing money and control. There is a direct correlation between trade deficit and national deficit, which translates into the decline of better socioeconomic standards. The recent controversy about the development of a major oil pipeline starting from the U.S. to Canada which has been simply about the importation of Indian Steel as opposed to U.S. Steel, is a tell-tale sign. The reason that our steel cannot competed with their steel is because our steel industry is subject to myriads taxes at local, state, and federal levels, as well as a plethora of regulations, which comprised on average, of over 80% of the final price. Our own government subsidizes their steel by minimal tariffs. If we cannot eliminate enough of the government overhead, then the only way to level the playing field is to put higher tariffs on imports. We have no control of the 20 or so subsidies Tatta Steel receives from the Indian Government.

The only major issue that I strongly disagree with Ron is that he is a strong “free trade” advocate.
