Ron Paul’s Bill To Audit The Federal Reserve Now Has 226 Co-Sponsors

Ron Paul’s bill to audit the Federal Reserve (HR 1207) now has 226 co-sponsors, and the numbers keep growing!

This is history in the making, and victory is within reach. Imagine what will happen if HR 1207, The Federal Reserve Transparency Act, comes up for vote in Congress!

With more than 50% of the House of Representatives already co-sponsoring this bill, it has real potential to pass — BUT only if we educate and rally the people to support it and get our Congresspeople to put it to vote and pass it.

Step 1: Your Representative

If your representative is not on the following list of HR 1207 co-sponsors, call their offices, write to them, email them, etc. Let them know they need to support HR 1207. If you live in their district, let them know. Go to their office.

Step 2: Financial Services Committee

HR 1207 is now in the House Committee on Financial Services. This is THE MOST IMPORTANT STEP in this legislation! If it doesn’t get out of committee it will not come to a vote! There are 71 members on this committee and they are all listed below.

We need to let all members of the House Committee on Financial Services know that we want them to allow full House consideration of HR 1207 so it can move forward; we need them to support this. Now is the time.

Call their offices, write to them, email them, etc. Let them know they need to support HR 1207. If you live in their district, let them know. Go to their office.

Help with this all important public outreach. NOW REALLY IS THE TIME!

Here’s a sample letter you can use:

Dear Representative,

Please co-sponsor and/or support H.R.1207, an effort to audit the Federal Reserve.

Recently, it has come to light that there is little to no accountability to the people on the part of the Federal Reserve. While the citizens of this country are required by law to give an accounting of every penny they come in contact with, the Federal Reserve has never been held to the same standard. During this time of extreme economic crisis, the people deserve an accounting of where our money is going.

Currently there are 226 co-sponsors for this legislation, and it is enjoying bi-partisan support. Your efforts in supporting this important legislation would go a long way in proving to your constituents that you not only hold the Federal Reserve to the same standard as you do your constituents, but it would also show that you believe in transparency. Anything less than support for this resolution suggests that you are in favor of secrecy and a lack of accountability to the people who pay the bills. We pay the tab; we have a right to know where our money is going.

Unlike recent bills that you voted in favor of that had hundreds of pages and just a few hours to read, this bill can be read in under 5 minutes. I encourage you to take the time to read it, and then move to support it.

Thank you in advance for your attention on this important legislation. I have every expectation that you will do right by your constituents and support this measure.

Step 3: The People

Tell everyone you know about HR 1207 and ask them to support it and to contact their representative as well. Link to this page and to

This initiative is crucial and we need to redouble our efforts to get HR 1207 passed.

I remember once in 1992 i was a young man driving to Galveston . We (me and my few buddies) stopped on the road side there were some guys who asked to to visit this dude called Ron Paul who was running for election and they said he is a nice guy and he talks to everyone.
I did not go but for a brown man like me it was quite welcoming and nice.
This Ron PAul is the best of the best in my eyes.

  • Kevin

I have emailed my Rep. Ruben Hinojosa and he still hasn’t signed on, can’t wait till election day. This tells us whose side u are really on.

  • Eric

Emailed my congressmen John Olver (D-MA District 1) he sounds like he’s board.
He says I will be in his mind when HR 1207 is being voted on in the house.

This is an incredible victory for the freedom movement, but our work to Audit the Fed is only just beginning! Now we must concentrate on seeing the bill through the committee process and getting it to the House floor for a vote.

you do not have 213 listed. who are the last 5 to make it 213?

    • Keri (Kikki)

There are 435 Reps in the house. So pick any five on the Financial Service Committee. To get it to a vote it has to go through the Fin. Services committee. I have been emailing all of them. It would be great if everyone else did as well, also you rep. if he is not on the committee, but still has yet to co-sponsor the bill.

I just prepared an email that will be sent to ALL my contacts –personal and business alike– over the next few days. Here it is. Feel free to use it as your own:

There is a bill in the House that intends to give the Gov Accountability Office (GAO) the ability to audit the Federal Reserve. You know, that “FED” bank who calls itself a “Federal” entity…. even though it really isn’t one? Yes, that one.

The Fed can “print money” and make one of YOUR dollars worth 50 cents in a short period of time. Don’t believe it? It’s called Inflation. Now that you understand how you are being robbed, get motivated and help control it.

Sound too hard to understand? Sound like too much work? It’s neither. Trust me.

Everything you need to learn is right here and will take 3 minutes. And I am not doing this for no good reason. This is VERY important AND action-able TOO. So time to act.

Here is what I, you, we, your friends —every American— need to do: Prepare AND send this email to everyone you know across the nation. PLEASE do it. Sorry for begging but the reason we are in this mess is because we trusted our politicians to do what was wise. Very busy we all are. But you have to act today.

Here are the tools you need:

For background info, including a video explaining this, go to the following link. If Internet Explorer doesn’t like it, GET and USE FIREFOX ( ).

You have to see the info and ACT. Take this one step at a time and if you do not understand, come back here and read more. I will make sure this email tells you everything you need to know.

Look at this FOLLOWING link. Once you are there, use the Edit > Find function in your web browser to type in the abbreviation of your state (KY for Kentucky, for example). Use the “Match Case” option to make it more accurate. For example, if you search for AL (Alabama) it will show you each time “Federal” is written. Bad waste of time. Use the “Match Case” option .

Take this one step at a time and if you do not understand, come back here and read more. I will make sure this email tells you everything you need to know.

SEE IF YOUR REPRESENTATIVES SUPPORT THE BILL. If they don’t, CONTACT THEM TONIGHT/TODAY. The link above has a SAMPLE note you can email or mail to your Reps.

I offer this following writing to add to the end of every note you send out. It makes it clear just what is at stake for each of the politicians:

(the following paragraph is my personal persuasion — and should be added to the end of any contact letter to any Washington Rep who does not yet support HR-1207)

” I should also add that if we find you did not support this bill we will be sure to make every effort to correct the balance in your office at our next opportunity. As someone who is TODAY using an ability to educate and alert hundreds -if not thousands- of U.S. voters, I thank you in advance for your attention and careful consideration! THANK YOU ”

(tack this on to the end of the sample letter you can get from the long link above).

The link BELOW will help to QUICKLY contact each and every one of the politicians in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Now, to dig in further and GET POWERED, use this link to DIG UP AND see just how many of the elected future-losers your state has. If they don’t support this bill (see the big link above and use the Edit > Search as I described), MAKE SURE THEY ARE CONTACTED — AND IF THEY VOTE WRONG, MAKE SURE THEY ((LOSE)) AT THE NEXT ELECTION. Make sure ALL YOUR FRIENDS KNOW they have to do this. We MUST remove harmful or useless politicians from office, and PLAN TO DO SO TODAY.

    Reference added: .

Be sure to see the main link above (the RonPaul website). It’s got more than I detailed in this email.

Specifically, the Step 2: Financial Services Committee CONTACT .

Personally I am going to pull out all the stops to make sure I can contact everyone I know. I know multiple people in NJ, Maine, VA, FL, SC, CA, NV, TN, TX, AR, PA and other states.

If I can lay my reputation and business on the line to do this, you can do it too.

    Good luck to us all.

IN CLOSING: the most important goal of this is to MAKE SURE ANYONE WHO DOESN’T SUPPORT *us* LOSES THE NEXT ELECTION. READ THAT AGAIN. WASHINGTON IS TO BLAME FOR THIS MESS. There is no accountability and they are just like bad kids… we were not telling them what to do AND WATCHING them for results.

(btw, I just sent KY’s Ben Chandler my message. He does NOT yet support the Bill. He has hereby been put on notice….)

I hope and pray that this Bill gets passed. There must be transparency with the FED. Too many Americans do not understand that this is NOT a government run agency, but rather a PRIVATE enterprise. Mr. Paul…you are the REAL future of the Republican party if it’s going to grow and bring about a new relevance.

  • Maybe its time to keep these global pirates honest! It makes allot of sense that the Federal Reserve should be held to the same auditing standards that we are. Lack of transparency usually means secrecy which means another agenda. Many people just do not understand how the Federal Reserve got into power who it really represents…bottom line they cannot get their minds around it, so they wrap themselves in the standard line that the secrets guarantee the Feds “Independence”. The American people deserve to know the answers to questions that have had no answers for years! Write, call and forward information to your friends. Get this bill passed now!

I wrote both Idaho reps and they signed on! Now time to badger the Senators to get on board with their version.

HR 1207 is an absolute litmus test for those in congress to openly declare who they represent, the American people or the international banking elite. Those who would weaken HR 1207’s authority through amendments or in any way block a “roll call vote,” will have declared their allegiance.

Congratulations on your hard work and success! Please keep it up! The USA is by your side, The side of America! The fed must tell all or be eliminated. We need a complete return to only Constitutional government! No marxism, socialism,no fascism, no islam, no illegals, no conspirators, no internatioal bankers running our country no tyranny of any kind! We want the freedom brought by Constitutional government! Let the bankers repay Barry Sotero’s and the socialists debts. The tax payers didn’t create the fed bankers problems.

i tell ya, if you americans succeed at this i would really like to know how you guys organized and such so that we could get the same thing here in canada. all central banks should be scrutinized around the world. its funny regarding your constitution in terms of the government responsibility to control money. probably no one in this country realizes just how similar canada’s constitution back in 1860 is to yours in those regards. seems like bankers never had a decent reputation.

I hope the people of Massachusetts push Barney Frank along.

I just called everyone on the Committee who are not listed as co-sponsors and urged them to not only support, but to co-sponsor and really send a strong armed message from us taxpayers!!! PLEASE call not just your own congress rep, but ALL of them!!!!! Let’s make this a reality!!!!

This bill has to pass at some point. Multiple generations of American’s will be working “real” hours to pay a debt to an entity that creates ficticious money at will. If only American’s could instantly “print” a lifetime of hardwork in the same way, this wouldn’t be such a nightmare.

Just called my Congresscritter, Betsy Markey (D-CO) and the staff said she is still “Studying the issues” so to speak…I guess she is a true CongressCritter or maybe she is a varmin too, who knows ??!!??!!

    • Carol

Congresscritter..I like that. There would be no reason NOT to vote for this Bill. Keep on her and if she votes no then out she goes next election.
My only concern…whos going to do the auditing??

      • Joan Halgren

Your on target here! Out they go! And what’s even worse, we gave bankers back the TARP funds without their getting rid of their toxic assets! Americans must get smarter and more aggressive or we’re finished as a great nation.

I have a feeling that since the Federal Reserve and the U.S. government know that they will never pay back this debt they will continue to print money and pay themselves (corporations, self-owned and subsidized) all the while not caring about destroying the currency because once that U.S. Dollar is destroyed they have a new currency to trade. The Amero. Question is…who printed this money and who controls it? Certainly not Canada and not Mexico. When this new money becomes the new currency…I will bet they will be expecting the U.S. dollar to trade straight across for that Amero.
