Let's say he did come out and support the people, would ANYONE honestly commit troops to Iran with a war in Iraq and Afghanistan? Obviously not, so then we'd have a situation where the rebels may be coddled into expecting our support militarily and get slaughtered by the government. Consequently, there would be a situation wherein both rebels and government hates us.As much as I despise Obama's policies, this is the right call.
