Student Town Hall with Ron Paul and Michele Bachmann

Student Town Hall University of Minnesota

A student town hall discussion at the University of Minnesota will be held with U.S. Representative Michele Bachmann (MN) and Dr. Ron Paul (TX) at Northrop Auditorium on Friday, September 25, 2009 at 7:00pm CT.

This event is free and open to the public.

Both members of Congress will address the student body to discuss monetary reform, limited government, and free market economics. Faculty and students are asked to submit their questions upon arrival for a short question and answer period following the Members’ talk.

“The country has seen a rise in civic discourse this August,” said Jeff Frazee, Executive Director of Young Americans for Liberty (YAL). “Americans from across the political spectrum have spoken out against President Obama’s healthcare proposal, bailout mania, and the rapid rise of government control and spending in our economy, and this is the student body’s opportunity to join the discussion.”

The event is hosted by Young Americans for Liberty and sponsored by the Minnesota Campaign for Liberty, Republican Party of Minnesota, Minneapolis City Republican Committee, College Republicans, CFACT, and Students for a Conservative Voice.

Michele Bachmann, awesome! Ron Paul, awesome! Great teamwork.

  • Mysteriously missing political photos! I am one of those people who still use one of the ancient cameras with the old film. I am a Tea Party Patriot and SEIU member. CVS pharmacy in St. Paul initially, allegedly lost my photos. The lab manager said, “I processed them.” & then said they must have been given to someone else. After calling management and a supposed investigation with no call back, I called CVS again only to be told, “The order was never processed, it was canceled.” These were several Tea Party Photos, Keith Ellison town hall photos, Democratic health care rally photos and Ron Pauls’ visit to the Northrup photos. I am a health care worker that is facing possible Lay off and the possibility of forced vaccination as a condition of employment. One photo is of Josh from McCollums’ staff who took a picture of me and told me,”I have your face on camera now.” I took his picture back and told him I have a picture of him too. There was nothing illegal or unconstitutional on these photos. Sure would be nice to get my photos back!
