Health care costs, if left unchecked and continues on its upward trend that is much above the rate of inflation, will be over 30% of gross domestic product in the next few decades. Shouldn't we be focusing our efforts on viable solutions? There are plenty of examples of systems in other countries that have a cost of 10% or less of GDP with better health outcomes than we have with our current system. If we are ever to be globally competitive, then we need to quit bickering and so whatever is necessary to bring this monster under control. According to the C.B.O. I've ordered an appropriate bumper sticker "Keep Government off my Medicare". It will not cut the cost of health insurance, some of the provisions won't be in effect until 2014, and people will still be uninsured! Also the stupid penalty that if you don't purchase health care, then you'll be fined and put in jail! "YOUR GOVERNMENT AT WORK"! Medicaid won't really cover all of the cost of pre-existing conditions. It's full of Pork! Besides this SO-CALLED Health Care bill was bad from the start!
