Government involvement in health care eliminates price competition and therefore increases costs, asserted Rand Paul, who appeared with his father Ron Paul on CNN’s Situation Room today. The Obama administration’s notion that increased health care spending won’t increase the debt is ridiculous, and new solutions are required.
Ron Paul attacked the government for fighting undeclared wars; the sooner we end them, the better, because they are one of the causes of the US government’s de facto bankruptcy.
Rand Paul stated that the government’s primary purpose is national defense; therefore, any potential war should be carefully debated before it is actually started.

Rand sounds like a politician, ugh. Doesn’t really get to the point of questions, tip-toes around, etc. I hope he’s just being careful so he wins the primary.
And no, Ron Paul, please don’t fade away. America needs men like you now more than ever. We need you to lead the fight for liberty for at least a few more years. Then maybe some of the young people of America that are supporters of the consistution and limited government will be able to hold office. I’m very proud to say that I’m part of the liberty generation; those young people that finally realize what America should be all about, and can see how many problems we really have.
Me too – too often, I see Rand trying to dodge certain questions, but then he does win over the dumb NeoConervatives with those answers, and the soft democrats, so that is a good thing. Hopefully, when he gets into office, rubbing elbows with the political establishment elites won’t EVER change the man his father and God made him! A courageous and sensible, humble man.
“I myself have never been an isolationist. I favor the very opposite of isolation: diplomacy, free trade, and freedom of travel. The real isolationists are those who impose sanctions and embargoes on countries and peoples across the globe because they disagree with the internal and foreign policies of their leaders. The real isolationists are those who choose to use force overseas to promote democracy, rather than seeking change through diplomacy, engagement, and by setting a positive example. The real isolationists are those who isolate their country in the court of world opinion by pursuing needless belligerence and war that have nothing to do with legitimate national security concerns.”— Ron Paul, The Revolution: A Manifesto
