Investigators were trying to unravel a bizarre series of Internet postings that suggested Bedell was fascinated with conspiracy theories, computer programming, libertarian economics and the science of warfare. – MSNBC
Typical Libertarian! Notice that he could have been hauled to an insane asylum by an alert police officer who gave him a traffic ticket and noticed he was nuts, but the Libertarians have put a stop to that sort of thing because, of course, he had his rights, up until he shot at those brave officers guarding the Pentagon who blew his sorry ass away.

Damn straight, Fred. That idiot Regan started this great sucking sound with his “free trade” crap. My dad lost his job working in the lumber mills of the Northwest because of this so called “free trade” bs. You tell me how it can be cheaper to ship logs over to Japan and cut them into lumber and ship them back here to sell to the housing industry? That’s a crock of crap! It’s about time we had politicians that looked out for our interests first instead of those of the f’ing Communist Chinese. I don’t think that’s asking too much of Ron Paul or any of these dumbass politicians.

Free trade doesn’t cause the giant sucking sound. It’s the government policies that make producing in this country more expensive, while ignoring the fact that capital usually follows the cheaper rout. Why do you think most Toyota plants, etc are being built here rather than over there. Not to mention they are building the plants in the south where there is non union labor. I guess when you want work done on your home you don’t practice fair trade, you simply go with the higher price, right?

(a small number of…) Toyota plants are built in the United States for the sole purpose of ‘market insurance’. If the populace loses faith in free trade, like now, than those Toyota’s built in the US won’t have to have a tariff attached to them and the Toyota Corporation can keep a sliver of their automotive market inside of the US.
It’s market insurance for political winds.

Which conspiracy theory are you alluding to Dfens? 911? Well it is no longer theory ,it is scientific fact.WTC 7 came down in 6.5 sec at virtually freefall speed of gravity in its own footprint .It reached a maximum speed of 128 mph.For 2.5 sec, it reached acceleration of 9.7m/sec or nearly absolute freefall in an vacuum.
This is impossible since it means all the concrete ,steel reinforced structures failed by self destruction in a perfectly timed sequence floor by floor.

NEWS ALERT: LARGEST EVER, TRAMPLING OF THE U.S. CONSTITUTION
In a move certain to fuel the debate over Obama’s qualifications for the presidency, the group “Americans for Freedom of Information” has released copies of President Obama’s college transcripts from Occidental College…
A formal registration document, made available on Jan. 24, 2007, by the Fransiskus Assisi school in Jakarta, Indonesia, shows the registration of Barack Obama under the name ‘Barry Soetoro’ made by his step-father, Lolo Soetoro.
Details:
Name: Barry Soetoro
Religion: Islam
Nationality: Indonesian
How did this little INDONESIAN Muslim child – Barry Soetoro, (A.K.A. Barack Obama) get around the issue of nationality to become President of the United States of America? The transcript indicates that Obama, under the name Barry Soetoro, received financial aid as a foreign student from Indonesia while an undergraduate at the school. The transcript was released by Occidental College in compliance with a court order in a suit brought by the group in the Superior Court of California. The transcript shows that Obama (Soetoro) applied for financial aid, and was awarded a fellowship for foreign students from the Fulbright Foundation Scholarship program. To qualify for this scholarship, a student must claim foreign citizenship.
This document provides the smoking gun that many of Obama’s detractors have been seeking — that he is NOT a natural-born citizen of the United States – necessary to be President of these United States. Along with the evidence that he was first born in Kenya, here we see that there is no record of him ever applying for US citizenship…
Gary Kreep of the United States Justice Foundation has released the results of their investigation of Obama’s campaign spending. This study estimates that Obama has spent upwards of $950,000 in campaign funds in the past year with eleven law firms in 12 states for legal resources to block disclosure of any of his personal records.
Mr. Kreep indicated that the investigation is still ongoing; but that the final report will be provided to U.S. Attorney General, Eric Holder. Mr. Holder has refused comment on this matter.

Hmmmm. Right, a hack copy/paste job is absolutely soooo difficult to discredit. I mean it is TOTALLY reliable, right?
I mean, just go find the original AP article. Then go find the released Occidental College information. Then go find some actual group called Americans for Freedom of Information — one that existed before the hoax message started circulating in January of 2009. That’ll be a good start; then you can verify the rest of the information contained in the hoax e-mail…
Why, it’ll be easy!

“This portrayal might be more believable if extremist views had cropped up in the newsletters only sporadically–or if the newsletters had just been published for a short time. But it is difficult to imagine how Paul could allow material consistently saturated in racism, homophobia, anti-Semitism, and conspiracy-mongering to be printed under his name for so long if he did not share these views. In that respect, whether or not Paul personally wrote the most offensive passages is almost beside the point. If he disagreed with what was being written under his name, you would think that at some point–over the course of decades–he would have done something about it.”

White conservatives really tick you off, don’t they? So much so that you moved in and set up camp here just to cry your little head off about the “angry white man”, huh? Why do most of your posts include playing the race card — on the first play? Hmmm – me thinks that you have a bongo drum fettish, along with your progressive, kumbaya, BS, and you don’t like the notion that all of your libtard dreams are grinding to a halt, due to the masses of independent conservative voters that you didn’t expect, existed, to come pouring out of the woodwork, against this failed socialistic experiment that you would die for.

Clearly, Ben, you do not get the logic. You see your government as being made up of patriotic Americans, with some of whom you have philosophical disagreements. You don’t see them as being evil incarnate. You don’t see them as dangerous with a single minded purpose of being out to get you. When you look at our military, you see our sons and daughters working hard to ensure they can pass along a free country to their sons and daughters. You don’t see a bunch of statist zombies out to kill you. If you did, you’d understand the same definition of “patriotism” as Ron Paul and his followers. Your enemies would be your neighbors, your fellow Americans, and your friends would be the Communist Chinese. It would all make sense.
When your buddies in Red China poisoned a few American kids by putting lead paint on their toys, it would be perfectly understandable. When they kill thousands around the world putting antifreeze in their toothpaste and cough syrup, it’s all about how strictly you adhere to the ideological principles of the “free market”. When they put put a few children to work or turn their workers into slaves by not paying them and forcing them to work in horrifyingly substandard conditions that’s capitalism at its best, not man’s inhumanity toward his fellow man. After all, you’ve got to break a few eggs to make an omlette, and according to Ron Paul and his true believers, these atrocities are just tests to see if the faithful are of sufficient purity of belief. It’s just like any other cult, full of scapegoats and easy answers.
The big payoff is freedom. We’ll see how free they are when they’re buying their weapons from the Communist Chinese because they don’t have any factories here anymore. We’ll see how free they are under their beloved new masters once they’ve unilaterally disarmed our economy with their “free trade” crap. We’ll see what their “honest example of true free trade” gets them with their new masters. Well, probably not. This country still has too many real patriots for the 14th district to get what they have coming to them. It’s a shame, though.

“At least you have a modicum of recognition skills.”
Well, but honestly, wouldn’t it be more like me saying ‘someone logged into my computer and posted angry and hateful things using my name for more than three decades and I had NO IDEA and as such I cannot be held responsible?’
I mean, 30 years is quite a bit of time to NOT HAVE ANY IDEA, no? And really, given now the Watergate/Iraq conspiracy allegations isn’t this just going to be more and more of an issue? More and more difficult for people to believe it was NOT him?
I mean, given this WAS IN HIS NEWSLETTER? Does this not sound like Ron Paul?
“The newsletters are chock-full of shopworn conspiracies, reflecting Paul’s obsession with the “industrial-banking-political elite” and promoting his distrust of a federally regulated monetary system utilizing paper bills. They contain frequent and bristling references to the Bilderberg Group, the Trilateral Commission, and the Council on Foreign Relations–organizations that conspiracy theorists have long accused of seeking world domination. In 1978, a newsletter blamed David Rockefeller, the Trilateral Commission, and “fascist-oriented, international banking and business interests” for the Panama Canal Treaty, which it called “one of the saddest events in the history of the United States.” A 1988 newsletter cited a doctor who believed that AIDS was created in a World Health Organization laboratory in Fort Detrick, Maryland.”

“Free trade does not require coordination with another government to benefit citizens here. Just like domestic businesses don’t pay taxes, foreign businesses do not pay tariffs – consumers do, in the form of higher prices. If foreign governments want to hurt their own citizens with protectionist tariffs, let them. But let us set a good example here, and show the world an honest example of true free trade. – Texas Straight Talk by Ron Paul
Congratulations Texans of the 14th district. You’ve nominated a traitor to represent you in the US government once again. Your Communist Chinese masters must be so proud.
The tariff that Ron Paul is “protecting” you from is a consumption tax like a sales tax. You can choose to pay it or not to pay it depending on whether you choose to buy a foreign or domestic product. Oh the horror. You can buy a domestic product made by an American craftsman, or you can pay a tax penalty for buying a product made by slave or child labor in some near-concentration camp in Red China. Ron Paul would prefer you buy from Red China and put the American craftsman out on the street. Where I grew up people like that are called traitors, but then I’m clearly not from the 14th district of Texas.
China, of course, has protectionist trade policies. You or I cannot own anything in China. They peg the value of their crappy paper money to the value of the US dollar. They use every cheap, fraudulent, and underhanded trick in the book to protect their markets from US products, and look at how they have suffered. Their economy has grown at a double digit rate for most of nearly 2 decades. This too is what Ron Paul is protecting us from while he encourages us to set “an honest example of true free trade”. So to the 14th district of Texas I have this message to send to you. You suck!
