Fein or Napolitano for VP. Jones. Dobbs and Ventura, all whom i respect a great deal, might be too controversial. No Paul/Paul 2012…as cool as that would be, people would freak. We are dealing with sheep, remember, they are easily frightened.

I think the best VP choice would be someone who’s expertise is foreign policy, and also shares Ron Paul’s foreign policy views. Ron Paul is great in both economics and foreign policy, but its seems like his expertise is economics. A VP who knows a lot about foreign policy would be a good balance.

Well, Palin, Bachmann, Romney and the establishment republican bunch are much more conservative than libertarian, so they should be immediately ruled out.
I don’t know why Alex Jones is on this list. He’s just a conspiracy theorist.
Glenn Beck looks like he got pulled by Fox from a gig chanting about the end times on a soapbox in downtown New York, so forget him.
Don’t get me started on Pat Buchanan.
Now, this leaves the people who are more on Congressman Paul’s side of the aisle, and for VP, I’m thinking Schiff. Let’s remember that the VP is the man first in the presidential line of succession, and Peter Schiff is a dynamic business owner approaching his 50s and is very much in Paul’s camp on main issues, which means he is well versed in the lost Jedi arts of Austrian Economics. Gary Johnson is quite tempting, but I don’t know where he stands on economic issues.
Lew Rockwell would be great as his main economic adviser, possibly alongside someone from the Cato Institute. I’d certainly put David Walker (Comptroller General of the GAO) and Elizabeth Warren (Chairperson of the Congressional Oversight Panel) somewhere.
Secretary of Defense? Richard A. Clarke. ‘Nough said.
For Secretary of the Treasury, I don’t know, but whoever he is, let’s hope to God he speaks Chinese or we’ll never get out of this mess.
But of course, we need a chief strategist for Dr. Paul’s campaign, someone skilled. We could have the devious, scheming mind of Karl Rove, or simply go with a wise-cracking southern man like James Carville. Take your picks!
There, that should be an iron clad start for a cabinet. By the way, has anyone named Mike Gravel as a possible contender? Just an idea. I’ve also heard Ralph Nader name-dropped as a vice-presidential candidate, but somehow I don’t think that would work.
Let’s get this done 2012!

IMHO these two candidates are of the caliber of individual required for the storm that is about to come. Other candidates recommended (some of them) are certainly potential cabinet members. However RP’
s goal will be to REDUCE not INCREASE these departments, so he will be looking for hatchet men, not personal empire builders.
The Sec. of the Treasury and Defense will be KEY.

C’mon folks,
Are Palin or Kucinch or Beck really in the same economic/political category as Our Man Paul? Neo-cons and their cheerleaders are a dangerous infiltration into the cause of liberty and constitutional government. Please listen carefully and be thoughtful. Their rhetoric changes like a chameleon to suit the moment, to confuse the issues. The neo-cons are very skilled at the games of manipulation and deception.
Cheers….Erik

Either Peter Schiff or Judge Andrew Napolitano. If either of them running with Mr. Paul in 2012 can’t get the public’s overpowering support than unfortunately, our coutry will continue down its path of forever, endless, undeclared and unjustified wars, (the majority of the 9/11 hijackers were from Saudi Arabia, we did not bomb them) endless overspending and zero oversight in the important areas of our corrupt Federal Government.
Paul 2012…even though he has not officially said if he is running or not. keep praying everyone!!!! God Bless America

Michael Badnarik as VP would protect our liberties and Peter Schiff would be the best choice for Secretary of Treasury with an ABOLISHED Fed.
The perfect candidate to me would:
1) Offer government mortgages at 20% flat rate interest over 20 years. $300,000 over 20 years would only generate $60,000 in interest but net the gov. a clean 1% annual return on every mortgage in America (presently 13 trillion worth of mortgages). This interest would go directly to pay off our debt and the homeowner saves hundreds of dollars per month to reinvest in the economy and save. If inflation occurs, raise Soc. Sec. rate and build up that fund.
2) Bring home the troops and use that money to repair infrastructure, making sure that every serviceman and woman has first oppurtunity at a newly created job.
3)Create flat income tax of about 15%- 17% across the board, abolish IRS (Peter Schiff could handle the tax issue easily).
The candidate who can explain this to the people will win from any party he chooses. The housing market will flourish, and new construction will boom, the free market will rule the economy, the debt will vanish, and Social Security will not only be replenished but won’t be as urgent because most people will have more money leading to retirement due to the twenty year mortgage and fruitful years leading into retirement. If a candidate does not believe in this, he cares more for the banks than he does for the people!

My first choice would be Peter Schiff as VP. Talk about shaking things up if those two were elected! Fiscal responsibility, sound money, less government, better efficiency from government, and restoring basic civil liberties. Then the word “change” would actually mean something. I have to say that I am a little disgusted by some of the names on the list. Ex. Glenn Beck, Palin, Dobbs, Romney, and Huckabee are all people that need to stay away from Ron Paul. I don’t want any of these Neo-Cons or nut jobs near Ron Paul’s run.

Firstly, please never mention palin, romney, beck or bachmann in any sentence with Dr. Paul. I think the above mentioned are damaging to this country. Especially the likes of Palin and Beck. A long walk off a short pier would be preferable.
I would like to see some mention of Chuck Hagel or Richard Clarke. I think both are very down to earth , love our country and are more progressive. I would like to see a revisit to our beginning years of elections and having a President and VP from opposing parties. Either that or a proper formation of a third party.

HANDS DOWN… JUDGE ANDREW NAPOLITANO
should run as Ron Paul’s running mate in the 2012 election. These two American Patriots would put the United States on the FAST TRACK to putting the US Constitution in its proper place.
We can accomplish this come November 2010 by making the right choices and getting rid of the “bought and paid for” corrupt politicians in Congress. I’m all for 100% Unemployment in Congress. KICK EM ALL OUT !!! We’d all be better off with a bunch of “HONEST ROOKIES” than the combined “experience of the crooked corporate politically correct terrorists now serving in Congress”. Think about it. Could an all Rookie Congress do any worse than what we have now? I for one, think not!
RON PAUL FOR PRESIDENT IN 2012
JUDGE ANDREW NAPOLITANO FOR VICE PRESIDENT IN 2012
WE CAN MAKE IT HAPPEN…. YES WE CAN !!!

Elizabeth Warren!!! Based on her principles of always looking out for the middle class. She’s not beholden to either party and truly puts the good of the people before her own welfare. Evident by her constant battles with the banksters. She’s got class, and isn’t bought off like the other 90% of our politicians currently are. Never let them fool you, this is nothing more then pro wrestling politics. Everybody hates each other in the ring “congress”, but there all laughing and drinking a beer together back stage “mansion”. Time for real change and fresh new ideas. No more status quo!!! Paul/Warren 2012
