Ron Paul 2012 VP: Judge Napolitano, Jesse Ventura or Rand Paul?

From December 13 to January 2, RonPaul.com ran a poll asking readers to select up to 7 candidates to join a potential Ron Paul ticket as running mate in 2012. The poll attracted 10,660 voters.

Judge Andrew Napolitano came in as the undisputed winner, with 38% of voters expressing their desire for him to be Ron Paul’s VP in 2012 (up from 34% in our last poll in August 2010).

Jesse Ventura came in a strong second with 27% of the vote (up from 22% in Aug. 2010).

Rand Paul gained 21% of the vote (up from 17%), and 19% of voters gave Peter Schiff the nod (down from 22%).

Chuck Baldwin came in 5th with 17% of the vote (up from 8%).

Jim DeMint, Dennis Kucinich, Chris Christie and Colin Powell were virtually tied for 6th place, each gaining 13%. (Aug. 2010 Poll: DeMint 7%, Kucinich 13%, Christie n/a, Powell 9%).

Other candidates gaining at least one tenth of the vote include Mike Huckabee (12%), Marco Rubio (11%), Michele Bachmann (11%), Sarah Palin (10%), John Stossel (10%), Ralph Nader (10%) and Alex Jones (10%).

The poll attracted 10,660 voters and 377 comments. Each voter could select up to 7 candidates. The detailed results are as follows:
