Nader is a distraction, not worth the time…

More importantly how and when is the RNC going to recognize Dr Paul a the real leader!
Ron Paul is the second coming of Ronald Regan, a true conservative leader
CAPABLE of being a real leader!

Just, whatever you do, when the time comes to vote for Ron Paul, make sure to either completely fill in the black circle usually next to the runner’s name, or legibly write his name in, but DO NOT DO BOTH. Especially in Florida. Oh, and if he decides not to run, write in Ron Raul anyway.

someone should let the judge know that we aren’t a democracy, and beg him not to spread that vicious myth about our form of government… other than that, great interview.

I would love to see this alliance, but only after the good doctor schools Ralph on economics and what a real free market is.

I always love to see coalitions such as these. Contemporary “Progressives” (who are actually closer to social democrats than progressives) need to understand that when Libertarians reach out to them, we are not always trying to convert them. Sometimes, we just want to work together toward common goals. Ron Paul and Ralph Nader demonstrate this well.

I can honestly say that Ron Paul and Ralph Nader were the first 2 real politicians who were responsible for getting me interested in politics. Today I am obsessed with politics and I still love both of them. If they ran together that would be the best possible chance I could imagine for the United States and the world to come through the next decade better than we’re going into it!

This is exactly what this country needs right now! If the libertarians can recognize a legitimate function of govt as the collective will of the people, while the greenies realize that big business maintains their stranglehold on power via big govt, not in spite of it, it could be a very exciting time to be an american!

      HI Mr Weaver,
The only function of government is to protect the rights outlined in the Declaration of Independence…life, liberty, and property. There is no such thing as the collective will of the people…sorry, socialism and communism will soon die in this country because of people like the libertarian, Ron Paul…tj

So if a foreign army invaded our country, would we (collectively) stand together and fight, or would it be every man for himself? Just because you believe in individual liberty doesn’t mean you can’t love your neighbor too. Sorry, I forgot the pinkos have exclusive rights to the word collective!

The decleration has that covered weaver. It is the proper roll of government to ensure the defense of its nation and public good. I do not trust this argument that the goverments role is to fulfill the collective will of the people. Collective will does not trump the constitution.

i wouldn’t trust a single payer system under our current system…

Look at social security, government thought we need to save up money in order to insure a good retirement..

then they looked at the excessive funds, and decided to use it for other thigns..

now, i may be for a type of single payer on the STATE level..

Dude I would totally visit the state Nader was governer. I’m sure the people would be alert, aware and good…I’d just rather take care of myself back in my own state :-)

But why can’t we have that? Why can’t we have options?

libertarians don’t need a majority to win, 100 congressmen and 20 people in senate would be enough, we just need a swing vote. That way whenever democrats want to increasingly socialise something and republicans vote against it, even if republicans have a minority, libertarians will join them and vote it down. And when republicans want to expand or continue war but the democrats don’t, libertarians vote on the side of the democrats!
