The results of this year’s CPAC straw poll of potential presidential candidates are in. For the second year in a row, the winner is Ron Paul, with 30% of the vote. Mitt Romney came in second with 23%. Gary Johnson was third with 6%.

Boy does the guy at the intro go on and on, trying to make whatever the result is irrelevant. Yay Dr. Ron breaking every CPAC ballet taken in it’s history, not from Dr. Ron, but in participation increase from the audience in filling out the polls. Did this favor Dr. Ron? No, since all the stats of the people who participated remained the same across the board.

So the news isn’t a back to back win for Dr. Paul but a back to back second place for Romney? Whaaaattt? That’s like the New England Patriots winning the Super Bowl two years in a row over the same opponent and declaring the real story is the “amazing and stupendous performance” of the loser of both games. I can see the cameras and reporters now running to congratulate the losing coach to congratulate him and his team on a great performance and how their 2nd place is a win for the NFL!!!
