Booking my tickets and hotel now so I can be there front and center in 2013 to watch Dr. Paul be sworn in.

  • Laura

I was seriously impressed. This is the first time that I’ve actually paid any REAL attention to Ron Paul and I love his integrity and passion AND his solutions. I’m following this band wagon.

    • KSH

We were impressed with the passion he displayed and his facts to stop the trillions of our dollars that is to spread like peanut butter thick, for the “global war on terror.”

  • Joe

It was painful for me to watch the debate tonight. Painful for the following reasons:

It looked as though Paul had no intention to look for the right opportunities to speak when there were obvious opportunities to do so. He should have interjected, cut in like other candidates did. It was Newt G. who actually scored important points. And those points were Dr. Paul’s !!! It was Newt who interjected, decried the super congress as unconstitutional to the audience’s applause, not Paul! Where was Paul?

On the economy it was Bachman who was allowed a reply to Santorum’s schooling Dr. Paul on economics, not Paul.

Often we complain about mainstream media not reporting enough on the good doctor. These debates offer an invaluable chance for Ron Paul to seek opportunities to talk directly to the national audience in a way that would set him apart. Tonight, he was politely looking absent and would not have talked at all, it seems, if not for a few questions and the last attack by Rick Santorum.

Dr. Paul needs to show that he’s a leader and not just a philosopher. He needs to LEAD in the debates showing a clear difference between him and the rest of the field. Like Newt G. did tonight. He did not wax philosophic – he expressed his opinions in a simple and clear way. (“super congress is a horrible, unconstitutional idea”) Using the debates’ forum to get your message out is a strategy. I wish Dr. Paul would realize that!

Tonight he was just waiting to be attacked. With the performance like he had tonight he will not convince the country to vote for him. The ideal candidate is one who has the message and knows how to effectively communicate it to the masses!

    • Libertarian777

His ‘problem’ is he’s too much of a ‘gentleman’. Have you noticed how he’ll always let his opponent finish before responding?

Nevertheless, he might not be a ‘leader’ as we all think of leaders. But he’s a leader on what matters. FREEDOM.

Would you rather have a ‘leader’ who gets congress to enact ‘cuts’ of $1.5 trillion (which still means we run a $600 bn deficit a year), or would you follow someone who would bring us back to fundamental liberty, sound money and secure borders?

Obama is a great speaker. But even now everyone is finding he is a good speaker, and only a good speaker. He cannot lead. He has no thoughts of his own. He doesn’t understand economics, liberty or the constitution.

Truth is treason in the empire of lies. Ron Paul is the ONLY one speaking the truth.

    • Joey

Effectively communicating to the masses doesn’t mean disrespecting someone and running off at the mouth while they’re still talking; like Santorum. There’s a reason God gave us 2 ears and 1 mouth. Judging by the number of Ron Paul’s supporters, I’d say he’s doing a pretty good job communicating that he’s 100% in favor of what America wants and needs. Everyone else looked like a complete idiot in comparison. Ron Paul or Obama…take your pick.

  • Thinker

I feel like Ron Paul would definitely have won the debate in everyone’s eyes including supporters of other candidates if he mentioned that he would legalize marijuana

    • Joey

I think that you’re right except that, in my opinion, most people already know that, mainstream media would try even harder to discredit him, and he’d probably be assassinated even faster than if they put him in office just to appease the American people. We will never have completely legalized Marijuana without taking up arms in the streets. There is just way too much money on the line.

  • JG

The poll at the following site removed Ron Paul from the list of candidates to vote for…

  • JW

If more people would vote their conscience rather than voting for the “pretty guy,” Ron Paul would BE President and we wouldn’t be in this mess to begin with. Dr. Paul will do what needs to be done. Vote for America. Vote Ron Paul!

    • serik

Indeed, I’m always amazed at the arrogance of the “players” – people voting for the “winners” instead. And they would berate us for “letting the other side win”. Well, it’s not us voting our conscience who’s the problem, it’s you, the players! I am realistic that Ron Paul cannot win presidency given that most people are sheep and easily led, but I can never sell my vote for a supposedly “greater good”. It’s not a “good” at all.

  • Anthony

For ALL Ron Paul supporters. Its time to get out there.Use some of your free time to promote ideas of liberty. How you ask?Go door to door..Make signs and put them up in your local area!!Go to ALL mainstream media sites(yahoo news ect)And post support for Ron Paul,AND support other comments about him, with thumbs up!!Start refering people(friends and family)to this site..Go to ALL Tea Party sites and express your support for the man that started there movement..Its sad but alot of Tea Party members are going back to the NEO Conservative, because of FAUX news..They started as a libertarian movement, and now they support puppets like Rick Perry,Michelle Bachmann, and Mitt Romney..DO ALL YOU CAN FOR YOUR COUNTRY and Ron Paul..

  • flameofliberty

Just for the record I voted for Rick Santorum as a joke. I hope the other 8 did as well

  • Anthony

RON PAUL 2012!! To my fellow country men and women..We are helping make a diffrence..PLEASE keep it up!!As you can see FOX news,is just another Federal Reserve LAP DOG!! With there puppets Mitt Romney and Michelle Bachmann..How dare Michelle Bachmann try to claim she has anything to do with the advancement of this(what I like to call)PATRIOT MOVEMENT..She refered to herself as the spear head..What has she done?Besides maybe be a cheer leader for the Republican party and there false flag war with the Obama Administration.Im also seeing GREAT movement towards the ideas of media and governement working together, and the people are starting to see it!Im also getting much pleasure in seeing the people wake up to its,NOT LEFT vs RIGHT!!But rather America vs banker elites

  • Jeff

I’m a democrat who is 100% behind Ron Paul. Listening to him tonight you could tell how passionate he is. He may not be polished but his intelligence, integrity and honesty were apparent. Is “Joe Six Pack” capable of seeing that? Santorum wants business as usual in regard to our continued imperialism and war waging.

    • JG

Serious question: who is “six pack”, I must have missed it but that reference is going right over my head. Is this the nickname of one of the GOP contenders?

    • Well Jeff, I can tell you are NOT a Democrat, I am, in fact, a Democrat. I would vote for Ron Paul if it wasn’t for my philosophical difference in the role religion plays into his decisions. 90-95% of all Democrats have an issue with a person’s religious or moral viewpoints influencing their stand on state or federal law, which is why it’s clear your mention of Santorum means you are not truly a Democrat. Santorum is not a threat, and is so extreme in his idiotic views on both economics, social issues, and the constitution, that neither party supports him. He has Catholic Extremist money propping him up.

If Ron Paul could explain the racial problems that exist in his past, his extreme views on abortion, his bat-crazy son, and how these issues have no place in government due to constitutionality, I MIGHT vote for him. I can’t in good faith vote for anyone but President Obama, that is, until the GOP gets their proverbial head out of you know where, and nominates a REAL candidate like Ron Paul, Jon Huntsman, or even Ralph Nader.

The rest are just either bat-crazy: Bachman, Palin, Santorum – Politically entrenched dinosaurs who sold their souls to corporations: Gingrich, Cain, Pawlenty – OR BOTH Romney, Perry

Romney will be the nominee and he will lose to Obama. Want to know why? The corporate machines made money with Reagan, Bush 1, Clinton, Bush 2 and now Obama has actually continued the same governmental policies. Every president we have had since Carter has been a Progressive Neo Con. all the damn talking points and political rhetoric about how liberal or socialist Obama is, how liberal Clinton was, how conservative the Bush’s pr Reagan was are simply FALSE. If you don’t believe me, actually LOOK up what a progressive believes in and what Neo Cons believe in. You will see they have all been Corporate Hacks, no matter what Party affiliation they hold to.

The only way to have a REAL President who looks out for the PEOPLE and upholds the Constitution is for Liberals, Libertarians, Tea Partiers, Centrists, and Independents to get together, EDUCATE THEMSELVES, put religious and philosophical differences aside, and vote for an INDEPENDENT. Not just for president, or congress, governor, etc. but for ALL POLITICAL ELECTIONS.

If that doesn’t happen, what is going on in the Middle East with their Arab Spring, or the European riots in UK, Greece, et al – and even the Asian riots that nobody is talking about yet – they will all happen here in the US. The world is about to burn and Jesus ain’t makin it to the party anytime in the next several thousand years (oh yeah, biblically, the “end of the world” actually was “end of an AGE” {age of pisces, aquarius} until folks back in the 6th century knew they had to scare people more then they already had been – seriously look it up)

I’ll be ready with my ammo, my gold and silver, my hydroponic garden, my clean water storage, my solar power – and when it’s time to come down off the mountain – remember I told you so.

btw @JG – really… joe six pack – you’ve never heard of that??? WTF

      • Josh

Racial issues? I think you’re reading too much liberal propaganda. Lest we forget that it was DEMOCRATS who championed Jim Crow laws back in the 50’s and 60’s, so don’t talk about Ron Paul and racism. Obama has caused more racial divide in this country than any other president in history. I guess everybody who’s republican and doesn’t vote for the messiah is a racist? Anyway, his view on abortion is one that says that government stays out of it. Basically, pro-choice more than anything else. His son Rand, is a Sharp individual. I don’t know where you get that he’s crazy. I guess being a liberal is easy. I suppose you wouldn’t mind if I stuck my hand in your pocket and took a wad of your cash and gave it somebody else, in your name? Personally, I say keep what you earn. If you don’t have, you probably don’t need it. This entitlement society has gone too far and a few of these candidates are a response to this administration’s epic failure of “change we can believe in”.

      • David

Whew, then we are safe then. Thank goodness he doesn’t allow his religion to interfere with his political decisions. You are brainwashed, just as I was. We learned through history that ALL politicans RULE based on their BELIEFS. So we all assumed we should know there beliefs, since we knew that’s where there policies would come from. We get flabbergasted when a politician actually speaks his belief but then admits it is NOT his job to impose those beliefs on others. WHAT? Someone who actually believes in LIBERTY and FREEDOM. This is new. He believes abortion is WRONG. And why not? He’s delivered over 4000 babies. So many ASSUME he would make it illegal because he is against it. But if you LISTEN. he also stated the Consitution does NOT give him the authority to impose his belief on you, hence he would NOT make it illegal. So your religious antics here mean NOTHING. Because Ron Paul would NOT Govern based on those beliefs. How he lives his personal life is his own businees, not mine.

  • Ken

    Ron Paul applause meter>YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Phillip

Dr Paul slam dunked everyone, and the Ron Paul supporters echoed that in the Faux news voting poll.
Faux news will try spinning it to no end, what a joke Faux News still is.

    Well done President Paul.

  • NadePaulKuciGravMcKi

people can see right through these sham debates now

every time they try to set him up
it blows back right in their faces

    Doctor is playing chess.

  • Lilly

Tolik, Iran doesn’t have a nuke. They don’t have enough gas to fly a plane here. Dr. Paul has never voted in favor of Hezbollah or Hamas, that is simply a falsehood. You are fear mongering, and Americans are done having the wool pulled over their eyes.

    • Tolik

Iranian planes maybe won’t reach the US, but Iranians ballistic missiles might. Perhaps in a few years. Or easier yet, the terrorists who are already in the US may get an access to Iranian nukes.
As for congressional voting record, it is 100% against Israel, even when it comes to condemnation of Palestinian school text books glorifying suicide bombers and educating martyrs.
Unfortunately, as president Ron Paul will be the best supporter of Hamas and Hezbollah. Or for you guys terrorism against Israel and calls for her destruction doesn’t not count?

  • Tolik

    Please …..!
With Ron Paul #1 terrorist regime in Iran would be aiming ballistic nukes on us.
We’ll be spending billions defending terrorists in our civil courts.
His congressional voting record is 100% pro Hamas and Hezbollah, and 100% against Israel.
Do we really want nukes armed terrorists on our streets?

    • Blaseboniface

You’ve got it exactly backwards. If the U.S. stops its violent intrusion in foreign countries, our streets and our airports will be safer; and every human being – no matter how much you may hate them – is innocent until proven guilty. If you don’t love Liberty you will lose her, and without Liberty what are you defending anyway?

      • serik

I think Tolik is one of those people who also can’t sleep over Cuba fearing Castro attack at any moment… These people are way too easy a target for war demagogues. Tell them someone on the moon is looking for nukes and they are spooked.

    • Jamie Pittman

Iran DOES NOT HAVE NUCLEAR WEAPONS. They have nuclear energy plants that could ” lead ” to weapons programs. Look at the globe for once, it is clear that physically Iran could not harm the US on our own soil, unless they came here. We have 4th generation nuclear bombs. WHO THE HELL WOULD WANA BOMB US? exactly what Ron Paul said. ITS WAR PROPOGANDA. You cant live your entire life being afraid. oh BTW…hezbolla is not a terrorist organization. They are the military of a very little country of Lebanon doing whatever they can to protect themselvs from invations from other countries. Wouldnt you fight if someone tried to kill you on your own soil? Common sense tells you that there will be retaliation if you are in peoples business. Peace can never be achieved by threatening someone. Nuclear war is the most discracefull thing to man kind. If Isreal is strong, let them defend themselves. I dont see the importance in our one sided relationship with Isreal. They are a spec on the map. What do they give us in return?

      Pewwwww. I smell a NEOCON!

    • ian Brock

so lap dog of MSM who are you really , fear mongering again?

seems to me like you are trolling , trying to cast doubt on doctor paul .

Snake in the grass leave this place. your a coward and slanderer of the worst kind.

  • Katie

I am firmly in Dr. Paul’s camp. But, I think that he debated poorly in only one area and that is Iran (the “moderators” certainly tried to shut him down. I don’t completely disagree with Paul’s position on policy concerning Iran. But, he needs to make the point that Isreal is strong and prepared to defend itself against Iran. AND, that Isreal must be strong given the behavior of this current administration.

  • Gently

First off.nice site. we need to support this guy.

All you shitbags need to listen up. if you care enough to come to this site then you are who i am speaking to. 2-3% of the vote in 2008 was ridiculous. Where were you then?
Where will you be in 2012? nobody wants to vote for a candidate with low turnout. that is fact. The problem is that if you voted for a long shot, and i voted for a long shot, not matter what the cost, and several thousand people read my post and decide to stick with ron paul to the end, then that long shot gets even closer. Do you have money in the bank? i dont! most of us dont! but we can make a loud ass noise in our neighborhoods and streets and argue with every possible voter we meet. if you do have money put it where your mouth is and saturate the neighborhood with paul gear
so that he has a “grass roots” chance against these sellout douchebags he is up against. start now before his opponents get in bed with coca-cola and haliburton and start flooding the tv. and then when they start that crap, make a disapproving noise ever time you see it, and argue with every dirtbag who dares sully the great ron paul.

it’s called freedom! you should use it and not them brainwash you with a pretty campaign speech or pretty face. Get off your fat ass and do something to help this guy win it all!!!

    • Phillip

I hope you’re referring to me as one of the shitbags, if you’re pissed then try keeping on a low simmer, cause you make us Ron Paul supporters all look very very very bad.
Your ranting reply to choir did nothing that we did’nt already know so take deep breath.

  • Tom

These news writers and reporters are losing serious credibility with the public. They keep ramming that corrupted cookie cutter Mitt Romney down our throats. It’s obvious Ron Paul has America’s real attention and support.

Ron, don’t give in to the media’s BS. Everyone I know supports you. You have a much larger following than you can possibly imagine.

  • Michael

I truly wish that Ron Paul or Bawwkman or Santorum would be the winner in all of this but alas, we couldn’t be so lucky. One of those bagger crazies would make it easy for Obama. Alas, it will most likely be a mainstrem repub like Romney. Oh, and wouldn’t the off the wall total whackjob Rick Perry be just perfect? Ron Paul, it’s time for you to be put out to pasture as last year’s comedy routine.

    • Truth Is Self-Evident

      Great plan, Mikey…

I mean, Obama sucks so badly, you need a Mormom for an opponent to have a chance next November. All that aside, Mitt Romney did have one great answer on Illegal Immigration… go after the Illegal Employers!

Fines don’t work, they are a cost of doing business and just get passed along to consumers. Put the people who hire illegals in prison for ten years for each illegal. There will be no jobs for illegals after that, most will simply leave (go home or continue to Canada). We don’t need to waste one penny of taxpayer money rounding them up or building walls and other corporate welfare scams.

      • Joey

That’s great except that a LOT of the employers of illegals are not legal themselves. There are a LOT of unlicensed, uninsured, fly by night sole proprietors that pay no taxes and pay illegals help under the table all day long and nobody in America really cares as long as they get the job done cheaper. If we want qualified, legal, competent workers, “we” have to be willing to spend a few extra dollars (that most don’t have) to hire them. Being a small contractor, I can tell you, I have never once had a customer ask to see my business license or insurance certificate. The only thing they want to know is, “Can you do it cheaper than XYZ Mexican?”

    • ian Brock

time for you to shut your pie hole main stream wh0re , i vote for common sense and concience you vote for the status quoe. Paul is the only non puppet out there but you are too blind to see.

    • Tom Weiss

Well – “bagger crazies” – how very progressive of you, Michael.

It is entirely understandable that the progressive big-government proponents of Obama’s “Equal Misery for ALL” agenda would root for Plastic Man Romney along with their tools in the Mainstream Media which definitely includes Fox News.

After all, he is probably the only man in America who could lose against Obama, given his track record.

Go on back to your progressive little George Soros funded web sites – we ain’t buyin’ what ya sellin’ here.

  • mike

dont you think its fishy that foxnews.com took down the poll of “who do you think won the iowa debate” that ron paul was obviously ahead of everyone by 6,000 votes – they took the poll down?

    RON PAUL 2012!!

    • Jacob Davis

I definitely noticed that one pretty quick as well. Let’s see if they actually show it on the air. But you can still find it and still vote on it at topix.com

      • Tamara

I noticed that, too! It is beyond annoying… I e-mailed them. The truth shall win.

        • Blaseboniface

We noticed the sudden taking down of the poll here as well and were discussing it immediately. Truth may terrify the willfully corrupt and the morally confused, but inspires the rest of us.

      • JG

Thanks for posting Brian, but RIGHT after the debate there was a much different poll that showed a much bigger breakdown of votes by geographic region. Paul took off with votes, obliterating the other opponents, but that poll was quickly replaced with this much more simple one you posted.

I wish they hadn’t taken down the old one.

        • David

Me too. But we all knew they would. Fox can’t stand Ron paul and will do everything they can to discredit him. In my book, it only discredits Fox. Whihc is why I’ve quit watching them. When they decide to get back to reporting the NEWS instead of their AGENDA. I might go back.

    • JG

I am so glad you posted this. I have been looking around forever for the poll….they took it down. IT looks like they added another one but now it’s really buried and doesn’t show nearly the amount of voters that the last one showed.

On the other hand, CNN.com has very scant news on the debate at all.

Unbalanced news sources are extremely frustrating. Is there anywhere I can go that gives balanced represenation from all angles? I feel like being moderate or independent means having a hard time getting straightforward news.

Fishy? No. That’s just standard operating procedure for Faux “News.”
That’s why no intelligent voter listens to their spin and fairy tales.

    • Joey

I heard them report tonight (not that I was watching Fox News but my dad had it on) that Michele Bachmann won lol.
