Gerri Willis: Yep, Ron Paul. Here’s what you’re tweeting me @GerriWillisFBN:
“The only real candidate is Ron Paul. Come on Gerri, you know this by now, everyone else is for endless wars and big government.”
And Frank writes:
“He’s not getting the attention he should, however I do not think he will be the last one standing.”
And Jim says this:
“I believe he is. His plans for our government are basic simple and easy to implement, no story there for the media.”
And finally from James, James says:
“He has no chance to win.”
All different. Here’s your chance to weigh in on our poll question tonight, is Ron Paul being ignored by the media? Log on to GerriWillis.com, take the poll on the right hand side of your screen. I’ll share the results at the end of tonight’s show.
[Break]
Earlier this hour we debated whether presidential candidate Ron Paul is getting enough attention. He basically tied with Michele Bachmann in this weekend’s Straw Poll but she got all the news coverage, not to mention his Texas colleague Rick Perry stealing all the headlines.
So we asked on GerriWillis.com: Is Ron Paul being ignored by the media? 97% of you said “Yes he is” 3% said “No”, and listen to this, we have voters from 26 different countries voting in that poll, be sure to log on to GerriWillis.com for our online question every weekday.

isnt’ there a law about giving all the candidates equal time in news and papers? the american people should sue the media for not reporting the honesty and common sense of the only candidate that could turn this country around.. the only one even discussing the issues honestly…and therefore if we get another go along president and all this continues…we should sue the media..i have called several newspapers in boston complaining about them giving perry free press and how people only vote for who they see in the media….i wear my ronpaul button at work in a convenience store and have a ronpaul stick eron my car…and am trying to educate people i come in contact with why they should take a listen to ron paul..good luck to all of us

Disdain Things you cannot have: Ignoring them is the best Revenge
By acknowledging a petty problem you give it existence and credibility. The more attention you pay an enemy, the stronger you make him; and a small mistake is often made worse and more visible when you try to fix it. It is sometimes best to leave things alone. If there is something you want but cannot have, show contempt for it. The less interest you reveal, the more superior you seem.

It appears the mainstream media has decided that Dr. Ron Paul, for whatever reason, should not be the next president of the United States. However, in an age of widespread internet access, it really shouldn’t matter what the mainstream media decides to cover. In the final analysis, American voters will get what they deserve. Dr. Paul was a legitimate candidate in the last presidential election. He was similarly ignored and belittled by the mainstream media. That notwithstanding, any interested person with internet access could have easily learned everything there was to know about candidate Ron Paul. Instead of opting for the one candidate who was interested in derailing the out of control gravy train unleashed by both the Republicans and the Democrats, American voters once again opted for the clueless, slick talking, handsome, tax and spend guy. It seems every four years they opt for the clueless, slick talking, handsome. tax and spend guy; whether it is the Republican or the Democrat. Dr. Paul is a “throw back” to an earlier time when Americans believed they were in charge of themselves and “freedom” was more than just a buzz word. Wouldn’t it be great if the average American returned to an earlier time when spoon feeding from the mainstream media wasn’t as effective because large groups of people actually thought for themselves?

It’s funny some people actually believe the “media” has freedom of speech. They are bought and paid for. They report what they are TOLD to report. You think that pretty little blonde can actually do some real reporting. No she reads it. The info comes down the pipeline just like a regular company, especially political talk. Now look higher than the media. If the powerful elite know they can’t control a candidate they pay media outlets to try and marginalize them to stray them away. It’s not rea

Here is a little piece I wrote for my blog.
Ron Paul Shaking The Foundations of The Status Quo
August 15, 2011
With the Iowa straw poll now over, I find it interesting how most of the mainstream media seems to neglect Dr. Ron Paul in their coverage of the event. Instead, they do things like this. Michelle won and Pawlenty finishes third. What? What about second place? Who got second? Why skip over the fact that Dr. Ron Paul basically tied with Michelle Bachmann, he was only 152 votes behind her, yet no mention of that? What kind of journalism is that? As an American, don’t you at least wonder, why so much of the media does everything it can to marginalize Dr. Paul? The status quo establishment is afraid of him and his message of freedom.
No matter what your particular stance is on any given issue, as an American, you should, at the very least, be concerned about the things that go along with the notion of being an American. Things like, liberty, freedom, justice, our constitution. Have we gotten so far off track that we completely ignore our constitution and what it represents? That we ignore the millions of men and women who have died defending it? That we just allow our supposed leaders to walk rough shod all over us without so much as a wimper? Ron Paul has been advocating these views, the constitutional views, for over 30 years. He has the most consistent voting record of any politician.
Where is the American spirit that we once had? Where is our sense of decency that we once had? How long will we allow a biased media to dictate to us who we should vote for? How long will we stand for them giving coverage to who they think is electable, and totally, or nearly totally ignoring, someone who obviously has huge support with the American people, but goes against a corrupt and vile establishment as well as the biased media?
We are at a very important crux, and I believe, depending on our decisions in 2012, we will either fall as a country, or stand once again on our own two feet, beholden to none. Our monetary system is a fraud, our constitution is being destroyed, our sense of even being an American is under attack.
The people who adhere to the concept of globalism, may mean well, at least some of them. Many however, realize what globalism really means. It is a more politically correct way of saying, I want to rule the world. You can make the argument that Hitler was, just a globalist, Napoleon was just a globalist, there have been many globalists throughout history. You have to learn how to sift through the word definition changes that constantly take place. They play word games to mold our views on things. Take for example, Charles Manson. He was a murderer, a killer. The status quo globalist people would change it to, he was just a population control specialist. Now, doesn’t that sound so much better?
Ron Paul is the only politician I have ever seen, who tells us the unvarnished truth, whether it is nice or not. We need to hear the truth or we are destined to fail. You cannot solve real issues without accepting the realities that created them. Ron Paul is the only one that has addressed the issues and causes and has offered solutions to those problems. All other status quo cronies just try to give us nice sounding words that mean nothing, but sound so sweet to the ears.
Wake up America, our time is short. I love my country. I hope you do too.

Every time someone calls him a nut or a kook, I ask them what exactly it is about consistently supporting, upholding and defending the Constitution they find “crazy,” and none of them has answered me yet.

All the media is doing is helping Ron Paul. Many people’s reaction to this poll will be. “I wonder what they are trying to hide”? Then when they listen to his message they will understand.

I agree with just about everyone listed above. Ron Paul is being ignored by the Media. Just goes to show how many are pupets and how affraid everyone is. He is our last best hope for America. I guess now the only thing left is to Get The T Shirts, Hats and Pumper Stickers and Start Passing Them Out. Its the only way to get our neighbors aware of Ron Paul and what he really stands for since the medis won’t.I’m ordering Now and and Will Start Passing Out. PLEASE PLEASE FOLLOW

People, this might be – might be – the tipping point that is so grossly overdue. Can in be that mainstream media is finally coming around? When that tipping point is crossed, mainstream America might see just who and what he is. That’s so important – because very many of them (I see and hear them often) only have a soundbite “kook” impression.

Not being funny or anything, but doesn’t that give you the impression they are scared that he’ll succeed? I mean, this guy talks exactly what most politicians don’t want to hear; the removal of power from their hands.
The poor bloke must bloody exhuasted having to work by physical campaign all the time.

The IMF, Fed & big banksters control EVERYTHING since they control the money supply of the whole world…Ron Paul knows this and still has the guts to challenge them–would any of us, really? How can you not vote for the only person running who is trying to save America & the Dream of Liberty for all? He rates up there with Andrew Jackson (who got rid of the Fed the first time) and the Founders who warned us from the start. Would you have said “I’m not gonna vote for George Washington?” Wake up

Why was this on Fox Business and not you know Fox News? I don’t like Fox News but honestly what the fuck is going on that they and the other big outlets are allowed to ignore a 2nd place damn near tied candidate for Pres?
If this were 2007 and Obama came in 2nd in a poll and was ignored they’d be a firestorm, give the man the time he deserves and has earned.
