UMMM… Reagan raised taxes for seven of the eight years he was president, nearly tripled the deficit while president, and helped build the Taliban. And in that one year he cut taxes, 1981, unemployment rose from 7.5% to 10.8%, more than 2% higher than that it is today. Yeah, I really want another Reagan.

Of course there is nothing inherently wrong with big companies either – but they lose their way often – GE, Microsoft, HP are all staggering around compared to their heights. Perhaps this is because businesses are non democratic. The CEO as gods appointed by crony boards – resort to monopolistic practices as they lose their ability to innovate.

My problem with the government is that it is ineffective arrogant and corrupt. If it was effective, transparent and served the people – I might well support using government to address employment education and poverty. I think we kind of have to start over – strip it down to its basics – and then maybe slowly rebuild it on a firm foundation. A society not based on force and compulsion – but for me the oligarchs also impose their will – i support the small business and the yeoman.

Ron Paul did not stand eith Reagan. Infact he was openly critical of the Reagan administration. And by the way Ron Paul had endorsed Michael Dukakis that same year that Perry (who was a Democrat at the time but change parties like Reagan) had endorsed Al Gore.

The economic success of the 90′s is a direct result of Reagan and Congressman like Ron Paul. His philosophies have not changed and his voting record is consistant, unlike Barry’s.
