New Ron Paul Ad: Staying on the Right Path





The Ron Paul 2012 Presidential campaign unveiled its new prolife ad “Always on the Right Path” featuring four former patients of Dr. Paul’s medical practice in Brazoria County, Texas.

Dr. Paul, an Air Force flight surgeon and 12-term Congressman from Texas, is by trade an accomplished OB-GYN who personally delivered more than 4,000 babies.

The 60-second online ad will be shared via email and on websites with conservative, prolife, and values voter audiences beginning today. It begins with a narrator describing Dr. Paul as a prolific doctor, a man of faith, and a man committed to protecting life. However, the moving testimonials of his patients are what the ad features most prominently – and most effectively.

“Some people need to have a good word said about them. Ron is the sort of person that his life is his good word,” former patient Laura Mays offers in the ad. “Ron did not let Washington change him,” Ms. Mays later adds.

“He not only protects unborn life, but he also walks through journeys with women and he has for years,” Kara Gore proclaims in the ad.

“It’s not hard for someone who is a Christian and who truly believes to stay on the right path, and I think that’s what kind of person Ron Paul is,” Diane Wilson declares in the ad.

“This ad is unequaled in its authenticity, and in its capacity to convey the message that not only is Ron Paul the Champion of the Constitution, he is also a champion of life with particular emphasis on the unborn,” said Ron Paul 2012 National Campaign Chairman Jesse Benton. “This is a clear case of credible subject matter serving as its own convincing message.”

Laura Mays (Former Patient): Some people need to have a good word said about them, Ron is the sort of person that his life is his good work.

Marcie Holt (Former Patient): You just knew that Ron cared about you. Life begins at conception, in my opinion, and as a result, I love to go to a doctor who felt the same way.

Kara Gore: He not only protects unborn life, but he also walks through journeys with women and he has for years.

Marcie Holt: I love the fact that he hasn’t changed in all these years, Ron is still the same guy, still saying the same things. And now all these years later, still standing his ground.

Laura Mays (Former Patient): Ron did not let Washington change him.

Diane Wilson (Former Patient): It’s not hard for someone who is a Christian and who truly believes to stay on the right path, and I think that’s what Congressman Ron Paul is.

Kara Gore: America has to have someone like Ron Paul today, there is no question.

As a Christian searching for others who want to walk in the freedom and encouragement toward others and to live in peace_ Ron Paul has shown the best effort toward living in peace, “ with all men to the best of our abilities”, Are war machine government demonstrates a lack of faith and a lack of good will toward all men, Let us once again become the best example of Peace and stop the war “One World Order” corruption. This has been thier fasle flag technique since the 1920's or longer_ that is this war machine we’ve become has been “in play” for soooo long now

  6. This is a great ad, that is obviously targeted at Family Values conservatives. Which is a smart move. But the best part about this ad is it's actually true, using real people to talk about Ron's character and beliefs, not just to make a political move to win votes.Ron has never changed his position on this....just like every other issue, he's remained consistent, and holds his position solely based on personal beliefs of life and liberty and not political reasons like so many other candidates.It's great to see the authentic admiration from these women in the ad. You can tell they really mean what they are saying about Ron and that is huge! Go Ron, go!

  7. Also, Pro-life is not a Christian belief. That's a common misconception that I think many Pro-choice people hold. Ron Paul is Pro-life because he beliefs in the ideals upon which America was founded. Quote from the Declaration of Independence, "...all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. --That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men..." If you believe in this, then a pro-life position is logical and scientific. All people are equal, without regard to conditions of race, gender, age, or developmental status. As equals, they all have those three rights up until the point where they are infringing upon the rights of others. That's why he believes in legalizing marijuana and keeping the government out of marital issues, b/c these don't infringe upon the rights of others and are part of your right to pursue happiness. Abortion however, takes away the right to life from someone else, and therefore the government (state) should be instituted among men to protect this right.

  8. hmmmm. RP's campaign should keep in mind there are a lot of non-Christians who support him also. I agree that it should be a state issue, but not that his religion should enter into his politics in any way.

    • @voltar I agree with Vincenzo, it's an ad targeted directly at family values conservatives which make up an enormous portion of the GOP electorate. Overall, a really great ad that speaks of Dr. Paul's character and personal beliefs. You can tell these people are very authentic about how they feel about Ron and that is awesome!

    To Ron Paul supporters, Close to 50% of Americans do not vote. I myself did not vote in the last two presidential elections, because I was so disgusted with the two parties. And, I simply could not choose between the devil, and the son of the devil. Anyway, while we may not be able to change the minds of people who are already deeply entrenched in their views, we can reach out to the other 50% of Americans, who do not vote at all. If each one of us focused on reaching out to just one person who is undecided, or disillusioned, to show them how Paul is the only candidate fighting for the average American and for true freedom, and we help them get to the polls, we would DOUBLE our votes, and WIN! To the other 50% of Americans who do not vote, WE NEED YOU in this fight for liberty, and freedom! You are important! Your vote counts!
