Seeing Ron Paul lecture on the budget… I can’t help but wonder how politicians can rise to the top like this with out a basic skill like balancing a budget. It truly dumbfounds me. I mean… if you don’t know how to budget in life you end up bankrupt, and definately not in Washington. My only explaination is that the power has corrupted them. Voting for a bailout of the banks (ie Romney) did nothing for the middle class in underwater homes. Why do you think the MASSIVE bailouts are never introduced from the bottom up? It’s the lobbyists. All you have to do is encourage libertarians in your state to run for state office. Get them elected and the states will take back their sovereignty, they will take back their power to protect you from the tyrants who have taken control of the corrupt federal government. It seems obvious now that Paul can’t get the nomination. The cards are stacked too much against him. Once he loses the nomination, the way to play Ron Paul’s popularity then would be to take it to an environment where he can easily win; governor of Texas. Imagine all his supporters focusing on getting him elected as governor there. He would win easily. Then he could immediately begin nullifying unconstitutional federal laws, spearheading a nationwide movement of other states doing the same.
