  1. Gordy,
I’m still not clear what is it you hope to prove by putting other people down. Do you get some kind of satisfaction by pissing people off or putting them down? Do you feel that’s the only way to wake people up? Help me here…I’m an older person who has seen much in my life, so help me understand where you are coming from. I’ll ask this question again, do you want to see WW111 happen after serving in other conflicts? If not, then Ron Paul is the only candidate I know that doesn’t promote war. I do understand what you are saying, but then it is lost when you get into the “I know more than you do” attitude and start to do things that kids do-the antics. Where is the wisdom of your forefathers? If you have suffered and seen others suffer, then why in the world do you want to inflict it on others? All I can think is you are a very lonely person and so alienated by what you’ve seen and experienced, that you want to take the hope and faith from others. You want to bring them down to your level. Do you get out there and help people in your community?

  3. Gordy, the problem is not just with the US, the entire world is coming down from a credit bubble. I don’t believe any one man can change the fate of the world when we have many pressing factors facing us.
-rising energy costs / resource shortages
    -overpopulation
    -boomers retire
    -credit bubble
    -government debt
Just like in nature, the human species is hitting the ceiling on the planet getting pushed back towards equilibrium. In nature, that means the weak die out due to starvation or lack of habitat. We have let our technology allow us to forget that this planet has limited space and resources and has started to push back on ALL people everywhere. This pushing back of the planet has been “solved” on a temp basis by taking the USD off it’s gold backed basis, and allowing the credit bubble to expand with low interest rates, un-checked debt ect. This has kicked the can down the road 40 years and just now has reared it’s ugly head. Now what we face will be even worse brought on by the manipulation. Paul sees the same things I do which puts him ahead of all others. We will all have to learn to live within our means and forget about trying to keep the GDP growing by using manipulation to facilitate our retirements. That only causes inflation and more suffering for the poor. Paul sees all of this, and is the ONLY ONE that admits the problem and tells of a solution. More government is not the answer when the entitlement system is on the verge of failure. More freedom is, and it is the only thing that will band the people of the world together through hard times. Freedom is worth fighting for!

    • More challenges: rising health care costs, tuition costs. Gordy, despite your insulting nature, I have been reading what you have been saying, and you are on the right track at times. But why did you come here to bash Paul and his supporters with stupid remarks like Paul is the Devil and so on? I really don’t understand your motive or reasoning on that. You’ve admitted that he’s the best of the bunch.

all i hear is ron paul will save us ron paul this and ron paul that and i am telling you ron paul can’t fix what ails this country, he can only start the treatment. i am saying others will have to continue where paul leaves off. do you think people now days have the maturity level to know that things are only going to get worse before they can get better, and to show restraint and not throw a tantrum and act like a spoiled child when things do get a lot worse. from what i have seen, no, people now days only want for themselves, ever heard that song that goes i want it all, i want it all, i want it all, and i want it now. that is the attitude of the typical american and if they don’t get their way then they show their ass to the world. the people in this country better find some wisdom from somewhere because we need it bad.

in my culture we have what you would call sacred clowns these people do things that go against the grain so to speak, push the boundries of what is acceptable because it makes people look at things in a different light and they might discover something about themselves or come up with a solution to a problem or to question things. i am not white, i was not raised white i was raised in the ways of my forefathers. it was a good way to.

i do not disagree. but for some reason most people think that paul is better than god, and when he is unable to deliver change instantly people will be let down and angry. ron paul is not a brittish rock group or the newest reality tv show. ron paul is some one who wants to be the head of this contry and it’s military for at least 4 years or 8 years. flowery speaches are fine but given past performance of 100 years of politics i remain very skeptical and question the motives of everyone who wants to be in politics in the first place.

  4. Hostility will get us no where and diversity in thought will elevate us above this point in existence. Be true to your values and agree to disagree. Hate speech of any kind will not serve the individual or the community you live in. I saw apes at the zoo doing the same thing! Throw crap at each other. I believe it is time to rise above this base instinct. Get involved or your comments are nothing but words. Be considerate of what people will lose through this process. Compassion and not hostility will deliver us out of this mess and not rhetoric.

    • OK. Now I can see where you are coming from Gordy. I will ask this simple question that my husband and I were talking about this morning. Do you want this country to go into WW111 because as we see it, Ron Paul is the only candidate who does not promote war? Maybe in your experience you see violence as an answer to create change. I don’t agree with that line of thinking. Violence just creates more violence. What lessons did you learn while serving in Vietnam and Desert Storm? I do understand that you see many Ron Paul supporters who believe Ron Paul is like a GOD or a savior that will save this country, but he is only a catalyst for change to swing the pendulum and plant seeds. If you have truly listened to his speeches, he has said this many times. He is only one man and here for a short time, but again, we have to start somewhere don’t we? As long as we bicker and play party politics=Republicans bashing Democrats and vice versa, or people who don’t vote because it is meaningless, nothing will change. Just because you support a candidate does not mean you stop questioning their motivation, or what they plan to do. We certainly continue to have questions, but it sounds like you have given up hope or leave it to chance. We continue to change the more we wake up and connect the dots. Don’t we have to start somewhere and I don’t see anyone else willing to create change in this country. I don’t know if you have a family, but I want a future for my children and their children. Most of us have not suffered as many have around the world. We have relatives in Russia and the Middle East who have suffered beyond belief. Yes, we are spoiled Americans, and I think that is where you are coming from. Share some of your survival skills and make a positive difference. That’s what it will take to turn things around in this country and around the world. I guess you feel that young people in the Ron camp have never been tested, or really gone up against the status quo the way you have. Well, instead of bashing them, you can educate them in a way they can hear, otherwise what is the point. That is how I have approached being a parent by teaching my children how to think independently. They continue to test me all the time and question my integrity in my beliefs. I think we are on the same page-so go from our common ground instead of focusing on how different we are. That’s the only way conflicts get resolved. Think about it in your own personal life. You see if you really feel you have something of value to share, you have to also listen to other points-of-view. Just maybe someone will learn something from you and you will from someone else. I have friends and family with very divergent points-of-view, but the only hope for this planet is that we find some common ground otherwise we will destroy our world. It’s as simple as that…

  5. Also, why you feel the need to keep coming back to this forum if you think people in the Ron Paul camp are delusional? What purpose do you think your comments serve? Do you think they will change the way people think by attacking other people? That never creates change or awakens people. Look at your motivation….Is it FEAR what change may bring in your OWN life or those you know? The media is a very powerful entity and unless people can learn to think critically and get past their prejudices and fears, they will always be controlled. So the bottom line is who do we have in the choice of candidates who offer us a better way?

none, no candidates can save this country, in order for it to get better it has to break down and there must be a political purge and then start over. that is one of the things the founding fathers left us in the constitution. if we don’t like what our government has become than we the people have a right to disband the government and reform it. paul can’t help us. sure he can get in the white house but he can not fix this mess in 4 years or even 8 years and what he starts in office some one else will have to carry on when he is gone, maybe in 15 or 20 years, what paul starts might make a difference, but not right away. the best bet for the american people right now would be to keep their peckers hard and their powder dry and learn to take care of them selves without a government handout or a subsidised program like wic, or free day care. just because the government says something is free does not mean 0 cost, some one some where has to pay, and usually it is the ever shrinking middle class.

as a matter of fact there is a better way. do you know that the u.s. is not one country. the u.s. is a confederation of 50 nation states that band together for protection and trade and have a common currency. the federal government’s only job should be to provide for the common defense of the 50 nation states, and to collect tariffs from trade goods to make sure there is ample money for the defense. that is what paul talks about, i agree with paul 100% but you people think he will make every thing ok again and that will not happen right paul is only one man, paul will be very busy fighting a lot of enemies of the republic. this country will have to descover morals again and learn to make sacrafices and not live for instant gratifaction like most do now, we will have to relearn tollerence and respect for our neighbors and allies. the states will have to govern again instead of dc trying to centralise control, and politicians will have to be punished for not honoring their oath of office, government will have to be made clean again at the local level all across this land. i ask you how many years will that take to happen

      • Gordy,
We agree with what you just said. It sounds to me what makes you so angry and frustrated is that you see so many that put their entire trust and faith in one man. That’s a chance we will have to take. Nothing is written in stone. If we don’t do something, it will happen. Sounds like you feel that most people have not stood up to the status quo the way you have. They are naive and fooling themselves. Maybe that is true for some, but then take the time to educate them in a way they can hear if that is what you are trying to do. We all have to learn in our own way and maybe for the majority it will take the loss of freedoms and entitlements before people no longer take everything for granted. Maybe it will take destroying this beautiful planet before we wake up and start working together. If you are just trying to vent your feelings of powerlessness because you were unsuccessful in getting anywhere, then nothing will be gained aside from letting off some steam. You see that having a dialogue is the only way to understand someone elses point=of=view and to share your own. As far as how many years it will take to turn this country around, look at history. I have not given up because I can not for the sake of my children. All we can do is start in our own home and how we live our life. That is really all we control is our own lifestyles and conduct towards others.

        • Live simply so people can simply live…We all will be tested and those that know how to do this, will thrive like the Amish, Mennonites, and people who live in harmony with their natural environment by respecting it and aren’t tied up in the material world. I’m working on that in my own life. It will bring out the best in humanity and the worst. We have had a number of natural disasters where I live and that is the only time people come out of their castles to help one another. We have lost a great deal in this country about reaching out to help our fellow neighbor, so if things break down each of us will be tested.

it’s fear of being responsible for their own well being that people don’t like, it’s more convenient to let some one else make all the really hard decisions for them as it gives the sheep more time to be depraved, but at some point the ones making all the decisions will become a very cruel and hard task master.

    • Gordy,
As someone who talks about history, you are playing right into their hands. Being a bully never accomplished any real changes. Look at bullies throughout history=they became ones because they had low self-esteem. Needed to beat up on someone to elevate themselves. Maybe you never got anywhere in life following the Golden Rule….It keeps people in a state of fear until they take back their personal dignity and individual freedoms. Obviously, you have suffered greatly serving in the military and this may explain why you feel the need to lash out. You never felt appreciated and still don’t. The power elite love to divide people and keep them at each others throats while they create changes that are not in our best interests. Gloria is absolutely correct that hate only feeds into fear, which keeps people oppressed and never creates any positive solutions to problems. Even my son knew this at an early age as someone who studied history with a passion. Please tell me who you are voting for and why? If there is a better choice out there, I’d like to know who it is? I’m listening because isn’t that what any of us want….

Actually you should pay attention to foreigners since America is constantly picking fights with them.

Note: I am an American. I DO listen to foreigners. They often times have a different perspective, one that you do not get from American main stream media.

You should take note when foreigners take an interest in Freedom, Liberty and a desire to see true laissez-faire capitalism save us from the last 100 years of collectivism, entitlement largess, welfare profligacy, wars fought for Israel’s benefit and the benefit of our military-industrial complex. Don’t be such a Joe six pack (six pack of beer and beer gut) watching Sunday Football and thinking that the rest of the world doesn’t know anything.

The military industrial complex and it looks more and more there are contacts with extra terrestials……… Yes sounds unbelievable but ignoring or not believing this will make you think that you are only dealing with power hungry wealthy bankers that protect their vested interests. No it goes much and much further, there is much more at stake for them and that is why these powers that want to control are even much more scared … and therefore much more aggressive then you can ever immagine.
They will do anything to prevent the truth from coming out, from having an honest President in the USA that might disclose everything once he finds out the real play in the skies…… Please be ready to realize that the Bible has not all the truths available, there is more out there, much more and some power elites will do anything to prevent the truth from coming out to the greater public.
