  3. But Obama = Bush = Romney!

All of them support shredding the Constitution (unPatriot+Extensions, NDAA and more).

All of them support more international bullying (unending wars overseas, attacking Libya at the drop of a hat, threatening Iran with attack and more).

All of them support big government and us drowning in debt!

In 2000, national debt was an insane $5 TRILLION. Under BOTH Bush and Obama this skyrocketed (accelerated!), and at $15.5 TRILLION continues to accelerate.

    POP!

  5. If the US divided up into states many of them would do fine with their own constitutions. Some of them would quickly fail but those, it seems to me are the exact same ones dragging the nation into a darkages. I ask the question more to point out that the issue is in play if people don’t stop putting party and special interests ahead of the interests of the nation.

  7. Oh it definitely still makes sense if you look at the core of America. What makes America America… Read over the Constitution and ask yourself if a place like that makes sense. It does to me. It does to many. Problem is, this country isn’t what it was meant to be anymore. It needs put back on track. America, land of the free is worth any sacrifice! America, land of the corporate greed and corrupted government controlled is worth BEING sacrificed. If you get what I mean….We have that right.

  8. Unfortunately, we have seen that too many are more committed to their parties than to the nation. They are willing to tank the economy and tell outright lies to gain power.

It sometimes leads me to ask, does America make sense as a nation any more. In a marriage with this much fighting there usually is a divorce.

  9. It comes down to this one question regarding parties. Are you Republican, are you democrat or are you American? That’s how people need to be thinking right now. I’m betting anything, if Ron can run Independent and make office, Whatever Rand has to go through, even he would think it to be worth the fight. It’s not about taking the easy route, or the expected one, it’s about doing what you have to do to make things right! Being a real patriot….

  10. Ron Paul has a son. I have heard that the republican elite have said that if Ron Paul goes independent, Rand Paul will suffer. I don’t know if this was a threat or a warning.

  11. The power dive was stopped. This doesn’t mean that the problem was fixed. The situation is very like a cancer patent that has been in a car crash. You fix the thing that may kill today first and then work on the longer term issues.

The economists I pay attention to are the ones who work in places where their opinions matter to the success of a company etc. Ones who make their living by giving opinions in the popular press are a little suspect. Any university ones more so.

  12. Stopped it? Delayed would be the appropriate word to use. The US credit rating has been downgraded 2 times in the last 9 months. That hasn’t happened for decades. They’ve created so much money that our dollar is becoming worthless, and is about to lose it’s status as the world reserve currency. It may have helped the average Joe in the short term, but the things they are doing will have long reaching effects. I’ve seen a couple of articles in which economists are predicting total collapse soon.

  13. WOW I just read an article online by Guardian regarding RP on CISPA and it starts off the column by stating “Former Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul”…WOW! Just WOW! Media is really stooping so low as to now even call him a former candidate already? Talk about lying!!! He’s still running and still has a shot too at that! That’s just …. WOW really?

  15. He has not stated publicly even when asked that he would not run as Independent should he not get the Republican vote. All he would state is that he doesn’t have plans to “at this time”. I think even he knows he doesn’t fit in with the Republicans anymore but is trying it that way first out of respect to what the party used to be and stand for.

  16. The more rights they take, the more we wake up. The more they watch us, the more we pay attention. The more they oppress us the more likely we will fight back. It is coming sooner or later. Let them take our internet and see what happens next…CISPA is going to piss a lot of people off if it passes. You don’t mess with the internet. It’s our last place of freedom right now. They are trying to make enemies it seems….

  17. No, what is truly sad is that we, as the people, have the option to PLACE him in the presidential seat if we so choose to. We have that right. We can override government directly as rights given to us in the Constitution….but will people get the balls to do it?

  19. When there are no jobs, extending the unemployment was the right thing to do. The economy had a major problem that was sending us into another 1929. The governments actions have been a long way from the right thing to do but they stopped the power dive. If the unemployment insurance had not been extended we would have been back to the power dive situation where people would refuse to spend because the economy looked bad thus making the economy get worse and so on.

  20. Your facts are wrong. Obama did an UMBRELLA of bailouts. MOST OF THEM WERE BANKS-like BANK OF AMERICA-his number one sponsor a few years back. The only industry that turned a profit and wasn’t wasted was/is the only one they cite-the auto industry. That’s roughly 20% of his original investments that made a difference. That’s like betting on ten horses and two win. You still lost money. And by OBAMA extending these laws and operations-he PASSES them along=he can’t blame Bush because OBAMA APPROVES
