Also its not like the Federal government has been expanding in accordance to population growth… that argument doesn’t hold up. Recent expansions have been the result of random events or lobbying.

I said “landmass”… Anyways, state governments if they were truly allowed to do as they pleased would do a much better job since thinking and acting local is much more effective. Take into consideration the incompetence of the Federal government and their total disregard for a fair market economy and our presence globally. I understand what you’re saying but I don’t agree with the expansion of the federal government, given who’s running the federal government. Too much elitism, can’t deny it.

“The U.S. has been the same size for some time?” Not so. The U.S. population has grown rapidly over the years. Only 3.9 million in 1790; 23 million by 1850; 76 million by 1900. It jumped to 152 million by 1950, then to 270 million in 2000, which wasn’t that long ago. It’s now 310 million and still climbing. So much for small government. That will never happen. No big country has a small government. The country is 306 million people larger than it was when the Founding Fathers were around.

How about this: What if all large countries are imperialistic in nature? To be able to maintain nations with such a large area of landmass, these countries typically take control by force or threat of force. Also, the U.S. has been the same size for some time… The government’s size wasn’t always this large and the corruption and crony elitism has not always been this rampant on the state and federal levels. Big government that isn’t socialist or communist; do you really want that? Psh.

Really fool? The size of a country has nothing to do with the size of it’s government. Really? Please name a big country with a small government? You’re an idiot. No wonder you’re supporting Ron Paul. But seriously, I want you to name a big country with a small government? Hint: There’s no such thing. Moron.

Size of a country have nothing to do with a size of its government.Usually, huge government means way more time to pass any decisions, corruption and way bigger cost to that country economy.Besides, for every 1 job in administration, you need at least 4 jobs in industry just to make it profitable or at least not creating deficit. Therefore huge government is a really bad idea for any country.

You’re a simple-minded idiot. You have no idea what the Founding Fathers intended, and most likely have never even read a book. You live in a country of 310 million people. If you want small government, move to a small country fool. And take that loser Ron Paul with you.

When you support Romney you feel the need to complain about lying? Go fuck yourself, when this country dies out, we will have all the worthless people like yourself to blame for it, when your children have to kill other people to survive and spend each passing day wondering if they will make it, you can blame yourself.

The founding fathers wrote the constitution so our government would be very limited. The U.S. was the smallest government but now has turned into one of the biggest governments. You sound like a moron. Just get out of here, troll.

the one who resorts to lots of name calling is usually the one on the losing side of a debate and that “tired old man” winning would be the best thing to happen for this country in a long time. Ron Paul is not racist but would him segregating a business be any worse then our current terrible present taking EVERY AMERICAN CITIZENS RIGHTS with all these bogus laws?

If Libertarians want small government, they need to move to a small country. I suggest Iceland.

Libertarians want small government. Jim Crow laws are made by government. Ron Paul wouldn’t want those laws, but he does support property rights which allow business owners to decide who can go in their business. Businesses won’t discriminate against any color because they would go bankrupt. Jim Crow laws were created by government to make segregation forced. This is an example of why Ron Paul believes government is dangerous and should be limited.

Ron Paul to WIN — or America to End 2012

Take your pick…there are no other options!
    —————————————————————
Ron Paul must take Rmoney to Tampa — to expose the GOP’s perfidy — when hundreds of thousands of Real Americans will come to the Convention voluntarily, supporting Ron Paul, the ONLY REAL AMERICAN PATRIOT in this race (vs a few hundred BUSED Rmoney bullies pretending they are actual people)!

If the Republican Convention cheats Ron Paul out of The Nomination — then, go Third Party!

There MUST NOT be a way allowed, for Rmoney to “debate” BO one-on-one — since this will be a Clowns’ Show (two liars trying to out-lie each other…when they are one-and-the-same HUMAN TRASH)!

Ron Paul MUST be part of the DEBATES — so, he can clearly show up THESE politically trained monkeys for what they are — The ULTIMATE Destroyers of the USA!
    ————————————————————–

Elect Ron Paul as President, if you want to Save America — vote for anyone else, if you WANT to DESTROY the USA!

“You can’t vote for someone who doesn’t run for re-election. ”

I was countering YOUR words “Who did a lot of great things for Minnesota”, yeah, so great he decided NOT to run again, because his own people HATED him.

    Whether what I said is LITERALLY true does not undermine MY POINT, that being;

Voting in Jesse Ventura was a MISTAKE, and the people of Minnesota now realize that. That’s a FACT, and it’s why YOU lose.

Either way you put it, he’s still hated, and was STILL a mistake.

You said about Ventura, “Oh yes, so many great things, they failed to re-elect him.” You can’t vote for someone who doesn’t run for re-election. You have major brain FAIL issues. You made it seem that he did run for re-election. You Lose. And you must be kidding with the Romney thing…the man was born on third base but thinks he hit a home run (Barry Switzer). Let’s be real, when you have the right connections you only run half the race. I have no more to say to you.

“Ventura didn’t seek re-election so we’ll never know if he would have won. ”

BULLSH*T, His approval Ratings in 2002 WERE BELOW 30%, that he would have LOST in a re-election is a GIVEN, HENCE WHY HE LEFT.

“fallacies”? No, it’s just you, covering your ass. Nice to know you can’t admit when you’re wrong.

My take on Paul is an opinion, I’ll freely admit to that, but my criticisms, though how condemning they are is up in the air, are FACTUAL, or at least, you’ve yet to prove any of them wrong.

“there is no HUBRIS in choosing what is right”

There is HUBRIS in thinking you are the ONLY one who can advocate said ideals.

Power should not be given to those whom seek it, but forced upon those who would otherwise not wish to have it, JUST LIKE CINCINNATUS, hero to George Washington and SEVERAL other Founding fathers.

Failing that, it should be given those who have sought it LEAST of all. Between the current candidates, that is ROMNEY, NOT Paul.

    “pass off with Ventura.”

    YOU were wrong.

Ventura didn’t seek re-election so we’ll never know if he would have won. When you are faced with more enslavement (through taxation or illogical policies) or more freedom; the choice is simple…there is no HUBRIS in choosing what is right, which by the way would be freedom. I have no problem listening to anyone’s opinion, unless it’s filled with fallacies like you tried to pass off with Ventura.
