    “UPDATE: ON THE UNIT RULE
There has been a lot of discussion surrounding the “Unity” rule, Rule 38 at the RNC and how it can be applied. As I shared in last night’s Reality Check, the rule would prevent States or Congressional Districts from binding their delegates and forcing them to vote for only one candidate” -Ben Swann

I think maybe you need a “Reality Check”

Yeah, I’ve heard that too but I have no idea if it is true. But what can happen is the delegates can vote on changing the rules, so they can vote in favor of making everyone unbound.

I read those “bound” delegates may actually be able to abstain from voting on the first round — something which is actually allowed under the current RNC rules. If enough abstain to keep Romney from reaching 1144 on the first round, all bets are off!

I don’t know about the other states but I know that in Nevada, the delegates he won still have to vote (or most of them do) for Romney in the first round of voting because of the primary.

When we get to the National Convention we are going to need 1144 delegates to win, no if and or buts. We have to keep Romney from getting the 1144 on the first round and force a brokered convention. The only way we can force a brokered convention is for the Romney delegates who are RP supporters to abstain from voting on the first round. If we can do that then some how we have to convince some of the real Romney delegates to come over to our side. Make no mistake this is not going to be easy. I will be at the National Convention and I am a RP supporter. I have been giving this some serious thought. Anyone who is a Romney delegate, we need you to abstain from voting on the first ballot. You can do that using rule 38. We have this one last chance to put this country by on the right track and we need you the Romney supporters. We do not need anything but a RP win at the Convention. Romney and the Republican Party can make all the promises they want but they will only be dead promises. If he were to get the nomination and win the general election, which he will not, then those promises he made to us would be forgotten in short order.

All judges are not patriotic Americans or believe in our Constitution. Felix Frankfurter was the Chief Justice of the US Supreme Court. John Kennedy was one of his students at Harvard Law. Several communist got together and founded the Lawyers Guild. Congressional hearings exposed the orgainization to be a communist friont for lawyers, so it changed its name and appointed three communist and two socialist as executives. One of them was a member of the British Fabian Socialist Society, better know as FABIANS. That Fabian was Frankfurter , the new name of the orgaization is ACLU.
Do you know what a liberal is? Politically speaking, a liberal is one who advodates change, even if change isn’t need. All subversives want changes in our government in part or in total, for that reason many communist and other forms of socialism, call thenmselves liberals to hide their true agendas. Obama advocated change, too, but it was not a change to take us back to the Constitution, but further into commiunism. During Pres. Roosevelts era his administration hired hundreds of social and economic planners. Congreesional hearing exposed most of them as communist. From then on all social and economic planners called themselves liberals. There are politicians that also call themselves conservatives, but not Constitutional Conservatives, who want to preserve the republican or democrat parties no matter what their agenda. Because our government today is more communist than Cionstitutional, we Constitutional Conservatives now find ourselves to be the liberals; liberals wanting to change from communism back to the Constitution. Once back we will again be the Constitutional Conservatives. Conservative means to preserve that which exist or has been established; and not to preserve the communist form of government that did exist and had been established while Americans slept. Other than Ron, those candidates like Ginrich, a socialist, and the rest who call themselves conservative, only wish to preserve the socalist republican agenda. Did I make myself clear?

You made so many errors in that little tale that I struggle to know where to begin. How about the beginning? Justice Frankfurter was never the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court. And Liberalism? Is the belief in liberty, equality, with an contemporary emphasis on social justice. Your facts are as misguided as your conclusions.

BarandonM: I don’t know if you know of the Bilderberg Group that I call the Shadow Government. It controls many orgainizations including the leadership of both of our political parties. I know the Newt Gingrich is a member of the CFR, as were both Bushes and Clinton who wetre also members of the TC. It is much easier whne writing to lunp all these orgaisations into one entity which I call the Shadow Government becasue it does infact work in the shadows to prevent exposure. They fear Ron and they own or control the news media so that the only candidates you hear about are the ones the Shadow Government and its fellow travelers and dupes will support. In fact, every president, VP, and Secretary of State has been a member of the Shadow Government, except Reagan. At the time Reagan was elected they wanted George H. Bush. An attempted assassination of Reagan followed, and I think it was to get George H. into the White House. George H. often stated in speaches that he wanterd to take America into the New World Order. When Carter was running for nomination for the democrats, he has less than 4% of popular support in the republican party. He met with Dacvid Rockefeller, one of the founders of the Bilderberg Group, and after gaining the approval of the Shadow Government, he became the nominee. I mention this because Rick Perry is a Bilderberg, and if thing don’t go right with Romney, expect Perry back into the rade for nominee at the convention. We must be on guard for this. please read th following for more information on this subject of the Shadow Government: http://www.4rie.com/mainindex.html and http://www.4rie.com/rie%201.html thru 209.html

I would like Ron to know that I have been actively fighting communism since 1960 and have been a supporter of his since about 1988. Before that the only ones I fought for were Barry Goldwater and Ronald Reagan. It is a bad feeling to be a Constitutional Conservative and can not find any out there in politics. It’s sickening; but we do have Ron Paul, a constitutional Conservative. I write often on the internet under the name of Maynard, on the yahoo web. I first read about 100 Congressional investigations into communist subversion and discovered that I was not the red blooded American patriot I thiught myself to be, but a communist dupe which made me feel like a trader. I soon discovered that I was not alone, that most Americans were and still are dupes, but seem to be coming around, finally.
I read dozens of books like None Dare Call It Treason, Communist America Must It be, You Can Trust A Communist To Be A Communist, Mao Tse-Tungs on Guerrilla Warfare, The Terrorist Network, and many books on regular military warfare and guerrilla warfare. I spent 23 yrs in the Army, 18 yrs as a ciop, 15 yrs as an investigator with the Bureau of Motor Vehicles, 3 yrs as a private eye. I once infoltrated several young men into a communist front for the FBI back when the FBI, CIA, and other intelligence agencies were forbidden to do so thanks to Sen Frank Church and his commiottee. I wrote over 300 letters to editors. About 100 were published. More recently I discovered that I could do the same thing on the internet, and in so doing have been censored many times. I’ve been in many arguments and called many names, as usual. It doesn’t bother me. What I have been doing is giving out the web site of a close friend of Ron’s in Texas, who I talked to recently on the phone. I’ve passed on that site over a hundred times on the internet. I have not seen where it has been used by you people. It gained support for Ron. I’ll give it to you now in case you don’t have it. It’s a hell-of-ah weapon. http://www.4rie.com/mainindex.html
    and http://www.4rie.com/rie%201.html thru 209.html
Thanks for letting me bend your ear. Maynard E. Merrell, Jr.

and if you don’t agree with the abortion policy in your state… at least you will have the choice to pick another state which has the policy you like. At least you will have a choice instead of some federal government choosing for the whole country.

I took a month hiatus from following Ron Paul due to some personal matters and what a difference!! People are finally officially reporting what has been known for months now… that Ron Paul is actually the leading candidate to face Mitto in the end…

there is no other choice for the US… I don’t understand these people bitching about abortion policy when they should be worried about the other 99.999999% of their lives which are being ruined by all the criminals in the US government…

Again I agree, legal matters such as that infringing on individual constitutional rights are matters that belong in the Judicial branch… it has nothing to do with the federal government… we need a stronger Judicial branch… well maybe if they had all the chairs FILLED then it would be satisfactory…

Blow dealt to Rmoney over the weekend!

Ron Paul gains 44 more Delegates — Rmoney gets only 6 !!!

Rmoney’s camp Attempt TO DEFRAUD the Elections — by sending plants using FAKE delegate badges and circulating FAKE delegate slates, and even impersonating real delegates — BACKFIRES! It only helped to galvanize The People in further rejecting Perfidy Mitt!

    Before:
    Paul —148
    Romney—697

    As of May 7th:
    Paul —192
    Romney—703

More good news for Ron Paul — according to RNC rule #38, the Mitt has probably lost about 50 bound delegates to him; while Ron Paul has probably gained that number.

Therefore, it could be that the more accurate numbers are:

    Paul —242
    Romney—653

Fox New’s REALITY CHECK Show is the source for the above numbers. Watch this video and pay attention the explanation of Rule #38 (from minute 3:15 till end of video –4:23).

Seems this mannish-looking “lady”, in the above video, does not understand (or pretends no to) our safeguarded election process.

Here it is in general terms (simplified):

      1) There is a popular vote (The Many choosing their candidates).

      2) Then, the Decisions of the Many are handed to the delegates (the Qualified Few), who deem if there is merit to the popular vote or just a mob’s folly.

      3) Accordingly, the delegates cast their votes to reflect the meritorious ones.

This instituted CHECK of Mob Rule is what has kept us as a Free Republic….until recently, and HOPEFULLY AGAIN! (The Ignorant Many can be mislead by TONS of Ads by an Attractive Politician who promises what THEY want to hear (but never intends to do — that’s where The Intelligent Few come in, and The Delegates determine if MERIT is to be assigned)).

The current AP delegate tracker shows Mitt Romney with 856 delegates, to Ron Paul’s extraordinary showing of…94. Likelihood of Mr. Paul securing the nomination? 0%. This unstoppable momentum is, well, quite easily stopped–math.

That’s a woeful misreading. Rule 38 says no candidate can be bound… by an attempt of state to impose the unit rule. Delegates being bound to Romney does not impose the unit rule at all, and so does not break rule 38.

    Romney has won the nomination.

What they said, Ron Paul is personally against abortion because he’s seen it done in person, but still, that does not mean he wants to pass a law because the federal government has no authority over the matter.

I’m all about states making the laws because states are a heck of a lot easier to get things done it. That’s why most legislation was intended in the constitution to be written by the states.

Paul’s position is that abortion is not a right based in the constitution, and so according to the constitution it goes to the states. What that means for abortion rights during Ron Paul presidency is…probably nothing. The Supreme Court would have to overturn Roe v. Wade, and even if that happened, most states, especially more populous ones, would still be pro-choice. If people can understand that, then I don’t think his position should be a deal-breaker for pro-choice voters.

“Rule 38″ for the Republican National Convention: States and Congressional Districts cannot be forced to “bind” their delegates to a candidate. Nobody is necessarily “bound” to anybody.

I am a Ron Paul supporter and daily I support his candidacy on the internet. It is simply very sad that the candidate himself is so unaware of women’s lives that he is willing to take away our ability to have a safe and legal abortion. This one issue is keeping Ron Paul from actually winning an entire state. And this one issue will keep him from beating Obama. Sad that he is so out of touch with women that he wants us to turn the clocks back. This clever manipulation of delegates is not victory

Romney may have won the straw poll. We will never know because of all the fraud but it’s a moot point because it’s the delegates that matter. There is no rule in NV that allows a candidate to hand pick the delegates. In other states yes but not in NV. They have to follow the rules. Throwing a fit doesn’t change that.

No, they wouldn’t be within the rules. The rules committee has to decide before the delegates are seated. Romney got the delegates, it’s just that they happen to support Paul. Romneys problem is he has no real support. If the RNC tries to play fast and loose with the rules they risk alienating the Paul people and with out them they can’t win. Keep in mind that the Paul people control a number of state party orgs and they decide who gets the GOP ballot slot. Pauls people have nothing to lose.
