Ron Paul sent out the following update earlier today:
Dear Supporter,
I wanted you to get an update from me personally, since we have some great news!
Due to the smart planning of our campaign and the hard work and diligence of supporters like you, we stand to send nearly 200 bound delegates to the Republican National Convention in Tampa. This number shatters the predictions of the pundits and talking heads and shows the seriousness of our movement.
What’s more, we will send several hundred additional supporters to Tampa who, while bound to Romney, believe in our ideas of liberty, constitutional government, and a common-sense foreign policy.
When it is all said and done, we will likely have as many as 500 supporters as delegates on the Convention floor. That is just over 20 percent!
And while this total is not enough to win the nomination, it puts us in a tremendous position to grow our movement and shape the future of the GOP!
I hope every one of you continues the fight we have advanced so well this year. I hope you will finish your local and state conventions, and, if you were selected as a national delegate, that you will head to Tampa in August to force the Republican Party to listen to the voice of liberty.
We have never had this kind of opportunity. There will be hundreds of your fellow supporters in Tampa who will be ready and willing to push the Republican Party back to its limited government, liberty roots.
There are many issues to fight for in Tampa. Also, candidates like Justin Amash, Kurt Bills, and Thomas Massie need your support as we move into the fall. Across the country, supporters of liberty have won local office and leadership positions in the GOP, and we need to keep working.
Our delegates’ presence must be felt both in Tampa and in years to come.
Stand up for what we believe in. Be respectful. And let the establishment know that we are the future of the Party and of the country.

Ron Paul has a lot of dedicated supporters out there, but not nearly enough. As a delegate, I helped him to win Minnesota. Perhaps his support in other states just wasn’t as strong as it was here. The man’s done all he could do, so let’s give him a break, let’s pick up the torch and take what he has started all the way to the finish line, in 2012 and beyond until we have taken our country back. Ron Paul is only one man, and one man alone cannot restore our liberties, it takes a constant and persistent effort by many people. Thomas Jefferson didn’t win our freedom alone, he was assisted by many others as well, and that’s what we need today. No man is a saviour, only Jesus Christ can rightfully make that claim. Some people out there view Dr. Paul almost as some sort of messianic figure, which he is not. It’s almost as though they worship him, and then when he states that he probably won’t win, these same people turn on him and call him all sorts of bad names. If you are looking for a man to save our country, you are dangerously mistaken. Cursed is the man who putteth his trust in man. Ron Paul has done a lot of great things, he is a true American patriot who has won the respect and admiration of millions of people, he is a messenger of truth who has brought up issues that no one else dared to speak of, and he’s infused our country with the Spirit of 76 once again, but he is only one man. The rest of it is up to we the people. Freedom is like a marriage or a business or a car, it takes work to maintain. It is never free, it is something that mankind has fought for since the beginning of time, since Moses led the Israelites out of Egypt. So to all you whiny little ninnies out there who bitch about Ron Paul “quitting” on you, put up or shut up. Either get off your pathetic little asses and fight for your freedom, or shut your face! I don’t have time for candy asses like you. You want to be free, but then you expect someone else to do the dirty work for you, you don’t want to lift a finger to do anything yourself. You might as well slink back into dependency and let the government do things for you, because it’s the same thing as with your whining about Ron Paul. Ron Paul is not a quitter, you idiots are! Our founders were not quitters, and neither should we be. When the going gets tough, the tough get going. If you want something done, then do it yourself. Dr. Paul sounds a little “tired” even while trying to be positive. I can only imagine how he must feel after working so hard all this time only to be snubbed by the corrupt media at every turn. However, the defeatism I hear in his statement “while not enough to win the nomination…” makes me wonder what I’ve been wondering for quite awhile: Perhaps he and/or his family have been threatened – like SERIOUSLY threatened. It is what I expect from the same billionaires who are using those campaign dollars to slant the media, flip votes, rig elections, and totally steal the victory away from Ron Paul, the way they have done in so many Primaries/Caucuses already across the country. (Enough money will buy you anything, including an election.) Romney’s entire campaign has been a sham of the media – who are owned and controlled by those same corrupt billionaires. After all Dr. Paul has done, it is very hard for me to judge him for reacting the way he is now – especially considering he has most likely been “warned and threatened” not to push things too far. Would we have the same stamina at nearly 80 years old? I hope he will run as an independent. If not, I will write him in. The GOP needs to know we will not sell out by compromising and we will only choose LIBERTY, not more of the same in Obamney! Do what Ron Paul would do and vote with integrity!

This news truly saddens my heart, that doctor Paul is seemingly giving up the fight when there are so many of us that believe in him and what he says. I know the doctor needs to be reminded that we support him and we will continue to fight for him. He is the hope that we need we must help put him on the right path again. I know doctor Paul wants us to be kind and peaceful but our founding fathers were not kind and respectful to the crown. We must fight if what we want change or nothing will ever change. Everthing that doctor paul says reminds us that we are American and That he is the voice in the darkness that helps guide us toward being a better country. We must not fail him nor our country. We need to reach out to doctor Paul because he needs us more then ever right now.

I find it interesting, and wonder if maybe Dr. Paul might get a little discouraged with his supporters, because of so many comments that seem to harbor the same types of hate , greed , and ignorance that has been the hidden force behind the seeming loss of our freedoms. I believe Paul is not only passionate about our freedoms in this country , but is also inspired by awakened people both from our past and present. Like Christ for instance , his message was of forgiveness , compassion , understanding… if your perception allows you only to see anger and hate then you are still in that state that has over come our gov. and so many other people. This was not Dr. Paul’s intention for a new revolution, why else would he have gave his permission to highlight the word love in the word revolution? I am turning my attention toward love and forgiveness every day from now on. That’s the revolution !

Ron Paul has started the revolution. WE THE PEOPLE can NOT let this be in vain. We cannot forget what he has fought for and taught the mindless drones out there who just have their head down and accept the way things are. He has taught many of us to FIGHT for what is right. Ron Paul is not afraid of Treason that goes on behind closed doors, for that is what I believe is going on. Ron Paul is not afraid to stand up and call out his mates on what they are doing wrong. Though most of the time people are blind or turn blind eyes to what is going on. So we must take what he has shown us and fought for and continue the fight to TAMPA AND BEYOND.

I read this nostalgic historical events book about 30 year ago — and still remember some notable points that may soon become true again!
After WWI — Germany’s inflation got so bad, that they reached the point of printing money on just one side of the paper (to save on the cost of ink)! That is FACTUALLY verifiable!
I can’t recall the exact numbers — but seems that one egg cost One Million Marks. I do recall that clerks used the blank side of the printed money as notation pads (since buying regular paper would cost much more)!
One passage has been imbedded in my mind — A German woman going to the grocery store leaves her wicker basket full of hundreds of millions of paper Marks outside the door (since it is so heavy to carry). After exiting, she finds her basket stolen.
Just the basket — since it had intrinsic value — not the paper money, which was dumped on the street!

I sincerely feel that if Dr. Paul does not win, then whomever is elected will make us feel like our “MOVEMENT” is pushing forward, they’ll silently flank us, take away our LIBERTIES and then our FREEDOM!!!!
Remember a single vote for Dr. Paul is just one more for our children’s Liberties and Freedom as well!!!!

I think on election day we should take the day off work, stand outside the voteing center and make sure at the end of the day we count the Paul votes by the people standing outside. Let’s see if it matches the district results. It would also be good advertising for Ron Paul right before people go in to vote.

While Gary Johnson and Ron Paul are not the same person. On the issues, they share the same opinion on over 90% of them. A write-in is a statement, but consider the alternative, a statement of the Libertarian Party receiving 10% of the vote or more. Ron Paul is a true Libertarian anyway. I prefer Ron Paul too, but my statement will be for fiscal responsibility, liberties, and freedom.

Dr. Paul, I beg you to please run as an independent candidate. You could really give both Obama and Romney a run for their money, since many seem to be displeased with both, and you could easily win support from liberals, conservatives, Republicans, Democrats, independents; basically anyone who is attracted your ideas of liberty and less government. Run as an independent, and many people, including myself, would vote for you without question.
