  1. The problem with your reasoning is that we don't have time to wait 4 years. The country is about to be driven off the cliff as it is. The New World Order will have taken place before any further elections.

  5. Personally if the Communist wins it'll be a much faster transition to a "Liberty" movement than if Mitt Romney drags us into a slower rate of increase on the Debt and Deficits. Let Obama demonstrate the failings of Keynesian economics and be done with it.

  7. This video sucks! Quit making excuses for Rand Paul. He finally showed his true colors and for that he now has 0 credibility! From now on I think of Rand Paul as nothing more then another neocon trying to fit in to the "Good Ol' Boys" club. He can NEVER be trusted again! His Dad should've whooped his ass more as a kid!

  8. After all the needed venting --- Let us focus again!

What, We The People (forget about the rest) must do:

    1) Assure Ron Paul is on the ballot in Tampa (get those needed 5 States affirmed ASAP)!

    2) Assure Ron Paul is on the ballot in Tampa (get those needed 5 States affirmed ASAP)!

    3) Assure Ron Paul is on the ballot in Tampa (get those needed 5 States affirmed ASAP)!
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Invest all your energy and efforts to ASSURE, ASSURE, ASSURE Ron Paul gets that 5-state plurality!

His speech alone will Rock the World! And the outcome may shock complacent America!

  9. You don't compromise with tyranny. End of story. Ron better turn around and start acting like Ron again or he will ruin what he has started. Fuck Rand. I'm looking elsewhere for 2016.

  10. Jack what you are missing is that despite whatever Rand's voting record may be come 2016, his record will not be pure because he endoresed Romney. In fact, his voting record won't matter to a lot of people int he liberty movement. That's only part of the basis for supporting a candidate.

Even if Rand thought he had to endorse Romney, he could have done so at or after the convention. Doing it before the state conventions are complete takes the air out of the liberty movement.

  12. I get it Jack. I thought it was a good strategy to show Romney supporters what true conservatism is. It has never been about just one person!

  13. John, Obama has the EXACT SAME #1 Campaign contributor as Romney. Goldman Sachs! Obamacare is rehashed Romneycare, and since when is forcing people to buy health insurance for corporations that would rather let you die than pay a questionable claim called Communism?

Obama is every single bit as wannabe FASCIST as Obama is. There is NO DIFFERENCE between the two.

  16. WTF, If Mitt wins 2012 then Rand is not going to be Republican nominee in 2016. Let´s assume 2020 until everything ends. If not Ron Paul it´s Gary Johnson 2012 !!

    • Thank you Mr. Redcorn! I was beginning to think Jack Hunter was the one and only sane person among Dr. Paul's supporters. Thank you. What Jack had to say makes a lot of sense.

Look, short of a revolution, there are two ways to change the system we currently labor under. Either you work on the lesser of two bad parties (GOP) from within, or you create a new party. But, the new party has to become viable in order to compete against the two established parties so that one day it may replace one of them.

Can a third party become viable overnight? Can a third party be viable on the national level with only a Presidential candidate? Can a third party become viable when their Presidential candidate only wins 12% of the popular vote in his home state? The answer to all of these questions is no. So how can it be done?

Can it be accomplished in the 5 months before November 2012? Of course not! The way to reform the GOP or grow a third party is at the local and state level across all 50 states. Put more conservatives in county and state level politics within the GOP or run many third party candidates against RINOs in counties and states across the nation.

Build a base of new politicians from which a national candidate can emerge. This provides a place for these third party candidates or GOP reformers to gain experience, demonstrate the wisdom of their ideas, and build a track record that can help people to become supporters.

Can this be accomplished in 5 months? No. Can it be accomplished in 4 years? Under current conditions, I would argue no. Why? Because there is currently no third party that has a genuine national reach. The Tea Party could become that, but it has not yet. If grown properly, I believe the Tea Party could become that viable third party, perhaps even in 4 years time. But, if Paul supporters want to vilify Tea Party groups and individuals because they are not Paul fanatics, then they cannot contribute to making the Tea Party a powerhouse in American politics.

Want to really make a difference, get involved in the Tea Party and exert your influence at the county and state level to build for the future. So, what do we do now, today? We accept the fact that Ron Paul will not be the GOP nominee in 2012. We recognize that although Romney is a moderate and not our first choice, he remains better than Obama.

Romney did not govern in Massachusetts by violating, ignoring, and circumventing the State Legislature or the State Constitution. Proof of this is that there were changes to the health care law in Massachusetts that Romney didn't agree with and he did not use Obama-like tactics to bribe and blackmail and threaten members of the state Legislature to get his bill passed. Romney did not circumvent the Legislature and Constitution. Obama has done this at the national level since he took office.

A majority of the things Obama has done to damage this nation he has done outside of Congress and the Constitution. It is rational to conclude that President Romney will not bypass the legislature and the Constitution. It is irrational to conclude that Obama will stop violating the Constitution. On this basis alone, Romney emerges as the better choice to at least slow down the pace of America's destruction while we either reform the GOP or build a powerhouse third party.

With Romney our demise MAY slowly continue, with Obama it WILL be accelerated. Again, this alone makes the case for voting for Romney as a first step to getting a handle on the direction America takes for the future. It is going to be pretty hard to build a third party from within an Obama gulag. Trust me!

I have lived during the tenure of 10 Presidents and I can tell you this election is the most critical in my lifetime and possibly in our nation's history. Romney is not my first choice, but Obama is not even my last choice. We must at least try to stem the tide by electing Romney and holding his feet to the fire. Rand Paul has the credibility and support to help do that.

There were many excellent reform minded people elected to Congress in 2010, and we will elect more this year. Let's give them the opportunity to prove themselves with a Romney presidency before we give up. In my lifetime we have never had a more aware populace than today (still a long way to go, but it is better) and we have never turned out more bad apples from Congress than we did in 2010 and will in 2012. It may be a small chance or a medium chance, but it is the best chance in my lifetime to see if we can turn this country around peacefully.

Let's get over ourselves and put all of our efforts and enthusiasm into this right here and now! If you participate and we are unsuccessful, then you will have the opportunity for the biggest I told you so in history. If you refuse to participate and we almost succeed, then it will be your fault that we didn't and you will have to live with the consequences of that failure. It is time to get serious and look at this soberly and maturely. Please at least give it some thought before having a knee-jerk response to reject it because you are mad that Dr. Paul did not win the nomination. There is too much at stake for egos to be what drives our decision making. Our country is at stake!

  20. I agree with you wholeheartedly, but it is very important "how" we accomplish this goal. We need leaders in our movement to emulate. The truth is Rand has a very different idea of liberty than his father and after this vote of confidence in Tyranny (Romney), how can any of us seriously consider Rand to be a leader of our movement going forward? We don't know what he will do next. We need leaders who have faith in liberty and us to take over local levels of government and not toe the party line.
