I was surprised myself, when driving from Texas (where there are plenty of drug problems) to Alaska- that even in the middle of nowhere America, Canada and the reservations I crossed- this dysfunction was everywhere. Billboards w/ pictures of speed addicts missing teeth and looking Ill. I find it disturbing that our cultures have degraded to this point…it seems a reflection of the state of our society and culture in general..

I haven’t traveled to Anchorage since the late 80s to early 90s. There were social ills in the early 80s (i.e., drunkenness, topless/bottom-less bars) but not an out-of-control drug problem as you describe. It’s saddening to hear this. I can sure understand why things have so declined in that community. Corrupt, dysfunctional political system & a very lousy job market, coupled with very high cost of living has been critical. Not a good place to be unless one has a steady, comfortable income.

“fools repeat history” :-) yep, now let’s find the identity of those fools and bring them to the light so this way the darkness might totally disappear.

I never did make it to Anchorage, I was in the south east part- Skagway. Its definately a wonderous place, lost in time and rather isolated. My girlfriend lived in Anchorage for a while…until getting sick of all the crack heads, speed freaks, heroin addicts and prostitutes. She didnt have a lot of money and had to live in crummy part of town. I cant believe how bad such things have gotten up there

wow i like this video and the part where he is with the founding fathers. if ud put any other senator or president with the founder fathers it would not look right because it would be a complete embarassment. but ron paul and other (good) presidents would fit right in because they are for ‘WE THE PEOPLE’

..you do realize that Ron Paul will never be elected. The owners of Corporate Amerika have been shaped Obama to be president since he was 24 years old.

I lived in Anchorage from the summer of ’82 through spring of ’83. I have relatives who have been there since ’48. My uncle (a physician), who passed away last year at the ripe young age of 90, lived in one of the first houses outside the downtown. He lived on Wildwood Lane just across that pond and not more than a stone’s throw away from Anchorage West High School. Cook Inlet on one side and the spectacular Chugack (spelling?) Mountains on the other side — what a marvelously beautiful city.

yes we deserve it. we are fat and lazy and we are well entertained and distracted. its amazing to watch.truly amazing.if you say what is really going on,people call you crazy and call you names and say you should be committed.the christian zionist support the very people who will one day make them go to fema camps to be exterminated yet you cannot tell them anything or explain what is really going on to them.they will not hear it nor understand it. most of these people are not worth fighting for

i believe he is controlled opposition and perhaps always was. in 2008, he suddenly quits. he has raised what was the figure , oh about 40 million and he has spent most of it and paid a lot of money to his family members in his “campaign” his ideas on 911 are not correct and he will not ever talk about 911 much. his son does and says what he must to stay in the good graces of his jewish money masters. yes the paul family understands who the real power is and bows the knee to it too.

did he ever write any books? i thought “his” books were ghost written for him. ron paul is not God. He is just one guy. Like someone else said, in over 30 years in office he said a lot of things that are true but never once got any of his ideas enacted. as kapner said one time. where’s the beef? indeed. where is the beef? and then his son, has shown what kind of man he truly is and he should be recalled for it too but the show continues on. don’t get me wrong. i like many of his ideas.

Good to hear someone not from Texas admit that its not Texas or the South….but also Illinois! Thanks for saying so…I lived for years in Alaska…populated w/ people from all corners of the world… There were brilliant folks that youd never expect to be… and there were dumbed down rednecks and city folk from all over.

exactly…unfortunately, what % of the 99%ers have managed to break free of the mental shackles that the 1%ers use. I consider myself well informed, but also admit to severe lack of knowledge about many things…Rather than try and learn all, Ive gotten good at smelling something rotten, noticing repetitive patterns of manipulation, and have learned that following the $ trail usually leads to more truths than anything in the news.

thanks for the kind words. I’m not very religious but I do believe there’s a god. I can only imagine him scratching his head while thinking, “where in my words did I command people to segregate themselves by borders and invent names of countries etc”. You are right. Iran has not attacked anyone. Yet the Zio-media tells us that they are responsible for terror attacks all over the world? Well isn’t the US guilty of providing Israel weapons that they use to kill and murder? What is the difference?

Amazing to note that people who know nothing about him, have never read one of his books or have ever gone to see this man in person, always result to name-calling with no thoughtful or fact-filled comments to make. If we let this man go and not ask for his assistance to get us back on track for being a Republic, we will have made a grave mistake.

America deserves exactly what is coming to it after the election in November with Tweedledee and Tweedledum on the ballot. Just so I can live with myself, I’m writing in Ron Paul, however.

As an American citizen I’m saddened to admit the public is fucking stupid… They sit there and believe Obama and Romney who are full of shit… Mean while Mr. Paul is here hitting the nail on the head on every topic and he’s being ignored by the media and public… Sad days are ahead.

You are right and with that attitude you will be recognised as a fellow Human first and an American second. Never forgetting the Iran/Iraq war was the doing of the USA also, and Iran hasn’t attacked another nation in longer than the USA has existed.

The USA will end anyway, I think the world will manage to get by without the USA and Israel, even if in their passing they create a great deal of destruction and mayhem which I am sure they will. Inevitably whatever come after, will have no place for the ones who caused the virtual destruction of civilisation.

You will never get such a leader as Ron Paul. There is a thing with many names one of which is called Karma and the USA’s Karma is not to get a great leader and be rescued gracefully from a well earned collapse and destruction of such a historically murderous and destructive regime.

Voting is rigged, media is rigged, exit polling is rigged and even if successfully challenged the Supreme court is rigged. DON’T YOU FUCKING GET IT? Ron Paul is not campaigning to be President, he’s playing rope a dope. His sacrifice is waking people up. If he ever got into office he would be dead within the first few months. You are the answer, not Ron Paul and not your vote. Get armed, store food, and prepare to defend the Constitution or you will be taken to a mental facility at gun point.

I’m a proud Human Being first and American second. That should be the order of things. When my fellow citizen talks about sending our troops into war, it angers, saddens and confuses me all at the same time. Like Ron Paul said, we need to start minding our own business. All this talk about attacking Iran infuriates me. Why attack a sovereign nation who has not been involved in a conflict since the Iran/Iraq war? All for Israel. Not the jewish people but the blood thirsty zionists !!
