Ron Paul is a proud Air Force veteran. He served as a flight surgeon in the U.S. Air Force from 1963 to 1965 and then in the U.S. Air National Guard from 1965 to 1968. During his military service Ron Paul spent time on the ground in Iran, Pakistan, South Korea, Turkey, Ethiopia and other countries.
Ron Paul is very popular with the military. He receives more donations from active duty military personnel than all other Republican candidates combined.
Ron and Carol: Married for 56 Years
Ron Paul has been married to his wife Carol Wells since 1957. They have five children: Ronald, Lori, Rand, Robert, and Joy. Paul's son Rand is the junior senator from the state of Kentucky.

If Mitt Romney wants to keep Ron Paul loyalist from going over to Gary Johnson he’ll need to embrace a serious budget cutting plan like the Penny/Mack Plan or Ron or Rand’s plan. He’ll need to make someone like Peter Schiff treasury secretary and Ron Paul as Chairman of the Fed. He’ll also need to repeal the Patriot’s Act and the NDAA. He’ll need to be a bit less bellicose in foreign policy. But,those things aren’t going to happen.

I’ll make you a deal. I’ll vote for RP if he gets the nomination, but if he doesn’t then a vote for RP is a vote for 4 more years of Obama and we just can’t survive that. We will be in so much trouble if that happens not even RP in all his infinant wisdom will be able to get us out and I’m not willing to risk it just to make a point.

Yes RP would be good for this country, BUT giving Obama another 4 years out of spite because “Your Guy” didn’t win the nomination is suicide for our country. Rand Paul came out and endorsed Romney btw. If Romney were to choose Rand as his VP you would probably call him a sellout wouldn’t you? It’s about fighting the battle you can fight and the big picture instead of being so wrapped up in what team you root for that you lose sight of what’s important. I said the Democratic party wants the Independents and GOP at odds with each other even though they agree on 90% of the issues because having conflict within the GOP means an advantage for the Democrats. I like Ron Paul. His followers? not so much. This attitude of “It’s us against them and we are smarter for supporting Ron Paul” is what keeps people from coming over in support of RP. I love 99% of what RP says and the direction he wants to go, but his supporters are his worst enemies when it comes to uniting Independents and Republicans.
