Ron Paul is a proud Air Force veteran. He served as a flight surgeon in the U.S. Air Force from 1963 to 1965 and then in the U.S. Air National Guard from 1965 to 1968. During his military service Ron Paul spent time on the ground in Iran, Pakistan, South Korea, Turkey, Ethiopia and other countries.
Ron Paul is very popular with the military. He receives more donations from active duty military personnel than all other Republican candidates combined.
Ron and Carol: Married for 56 Years
Ron Paul has been married to his wife Carol Wells since 1957. They have five children: Ronald, Lori, Rand, Robert, and Joy. Paul's son Rand is the junior senator from the state of Kentucky.

Man, just look at the world today. The way people pass information is extremely disconnected socially, but their goals are organized. Strange, no?
What we are having is a psychological distancing of humans (in some places like the U.S. and Europe, is more noticeable). But people forget that they need your intellect inside if you want to live in balance with the proposals we are proposing.

Abolishing the fed, and replacing it with the old gold standard, will allow history to repeat it-self like it has time and time again. The solution is to abolish the fed, and give the power of money back into the people’s hands. The ideal should be to learn from what the Banking Supremacist have done, Clearly there ideal has lead to greed and corruption on a mass scale. So what do we do? We need to configure a real system that does not support only the elite, but all.

The key point I think is that Paul want to seperate the power to legislate from the power to print. Send the power back to the states basically. That alone would solve a lot of our problems as far as budget deficits and the inflation.
I believe that we can not just go to a “gold” standard because gold has market fluctuations like anything else and is in limited quantity. A more realistic idea would be to peg the dollar to a very diverse basket of commodities. If it were up to me, I would definately include things like food, fuel, health care, education, consumer goods, and housing since a majority of an everyday American’s income goes to those things. We would also have to consider that the money supply should still be allowed to increase with a growing population.

or the fact that inflation might be directly tied to the amount of gold produced, essentially placing monetary policy in the hands of the mining industry. I just haven’t heard or read Dr. Paul give any solutions to these problems and would appreciate it if someone knew of a particular video or article where he may have covered these and other perceived problems.

Well, it could give a greater economic advantage over the U.S. to countries such as China, which remains the largest single holder of U.S. debt. Might be a little problematic. But that’s just one example. Other criticisms of the gold standard include the argument that we would no longer be able to increase the money supply to possibly mitigate the effects of an economic downturn…
