  • It seems to me Ron Paul’s own Republican party will not embrace him & Mitt Romney’s not man enough to do he right thing and step aside he has no other options. Go independant Ron Paul you have true and real support by the masses to rightfully legally and ethically win. I never met a Mormon i did not like until Romney. “Go Ron Paul!”
    Cheers, Brad from Canada

Dr. Paul should show that his is a political movement and not a personality cult. He can best do this by stepping aside and supporting the only ticket on the ballot nationwide that shares his ideals: Johnson/Gray 2012.

  • Mark Dickson

If Ron Paul doesn’t run with Gary Johnson or Jesse Ventura, then he should run for Texas govenor.

  • Bob Vondruska

I don’t know a single man or woman who is excited about Mitt Romney. The same can be said about Paul Ryan; a guy the pundits call a “bold choice”. I remember a similar lame Republican like Romney back in 1996 named Bob Dole, who chose what the pundits at that time called a “bold choice” by choosing Jack Kemp. Needless to say, the bold team of Dole and Kemp had their butts handed to them on a platter by the incumbent president (Bill Clinton).
What do these idiots in the Romney campaign and at the RNC think is so special about either Romney or Paul Ryan that they can unseat a sitting president?
Only Ron Paul can beat Obama and Romney knows it! Short of finding the corpse of an intern in Obama’s closet, he is going to hand Romney an embarrassing defeat; a loss for Romney by no less than 15%.
It’s time to DUMP ROMNEY at the convention! He generates the enthusiasm of watching a dog crap!
I know that Dr. Paul wants the delegates to be respectful at the convention but if they remain quite and cordial, Romney will win the nomination and get trounced in November. If these people at the RNC really care about their country, they will DUMP ROMNEY, nominate Ron Paul, and beat Obama on election day!

    Ron Paul 2012!!

I flagged your comment, because I liked it and because your logic is perfect. Except for one thing very important that you forgot, in my own opinion:
All elections are rigged. If the Establishment wants Romney and are ready to throw Obama out, Romney will win, even if not a single soul will have voted for him. This is how deep the corruption is in the electoral system. They get who they want for President. The question is: Who do they want… Romney or Obama?

I believe Ron Paul should run as an Independent. Some people worry that voting for him means less votes for Romney and thus allowing Obama to win, but I see it differently. Both Obama and Romney are trying to look good but avoid dealing with thorny problems like these senseless wars and getting OUT of these countries where we had no business invading in the first place. That is where an awful lot of tax money goes. Only Ron Paul has made his position CLEAR what he intends to do. If Mr. Paul doesn’t run I don’t intend to vote at all because neither mainstream candidate is dealing with these problems, and it will be business as usual.

And so sorry HAPPY BIRTHDAY Dr. Paul wishing you blessings of many many more we need you Dear Sir……….

  • Thomas Owen

Storm the stage with all of your followers at the convention….JUST KIDDING………or am I. Dr. Paul please keep it up. If you have to go for the third party and kick their butts. We will be right there behind you. I didn’t like becoming a Replublican anyway. In fact, I couldn’t even say the word for a long time. I did it to follow you which I have for many years. Voting a third party would be a pleasure for me, especially with all of the support for you this time.
I supported you with my, snowball in hell vote for you when you ran Libertarian.
Now I believe a third party stands a great chance, if even to give this demopublican monopoly a run. Their insanity has to end…………
Thank you so much with Love and Peace Profound…..Tom

  • Omid

    Dear congressman Paul,

    Happy birthday.
Is it still possible for you to run as an independent?
If it is, I ask you to do that.

In any case, you are one of the very few reasons that I still follow politics.

  • Gene Greek

HAPPY BIRTHDAY Dr PAUL lets go we are ready for a revolution

  • Johnny

Ron Paul, you’re the one and only one!

  • Rex

Dr. Paul should retire from politics and continue nourishing the liberty movement by vigorously travelling the country and lecturing. He is an educator, statesman, and political theorist anyway, not a politician. If he runs Independent, I’ll vote for him. If he’s not on the ballot, I’ll write him in or not vote. I won’t vote lesser-of-two-evils anymore. Yes, Romney will be better than Obama in the short-run; but electing Romney is just kicking the can down the road. If a Rand Paul or a Mike Lee is not elected after Romney, it will be all over after that, IMHO. If Obama is re-elected, the end will simply come sooner than later.

  • Ladies and Gentlemen,
what is the difference between life and death? Nobody knows for sure what death is, but we can our logique applies; The body disapears, but the SOUL? That is what we are. Do not fear death but life. Dont give up your PRINCIPLES; This is what we have, what we are. Romney is a CRIMINAL like OBAMA TOO; Ron Paul”s IDEAS is EVERYTHING THAT IS GOOD AND WORTH TO FIGHT FOR IN LIFE. FREEDOM OR DEATH IN TAMPA.

    Sincerly yours

Folks, it is literally too late for Dr. Paul to run as an Independent in most States. It may even be too late in some States for him to be a write-in.

The only pro-Liberty candidate most of us will see on our ballots is Gov. Gary Johnson.

Remember: a vote for Romney is a vote for Obama-ism without Obama.

    Jeff Daiell

  • Jim Wright

If you had enough of Obama than you guys better get off your Paul high horse and vote for Romney. All Paul can do for us as a candidate is insure that Obama will be re-elected. Put him in the same group as Ross Parot and Bucanhan

    • Jim Wrong

You should leave. This website is a place for educated folks.

    • someone

Cheating slime balls like Romney will NEVER get my vote!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Bob Vondruska

Ron Paul has earned his right to get his 15 minutes and have his name put into nomination….plain and simple! We shouldn’t even be talking about compromising in regard to the Ron Paul supporting delegates who won their right to be seated at the convention fair and square. By my numbers, Dr. Paul should still have a plurality of delegates in 6 states, even after getting screwed over in Louisiana. WTF??
If the RNC and Romney think that Ron Paul’s supporters are going to accept compromises and seeing their guy get shafted, they will be in for a big surprise.
The Republican platform will become a piece of toilet paper if Romney gets the nomination and somehow magically beats Obama but that simply will not happen. If Romney wants to have even a remote chance of beating Obama, he will first have to do the right thing and face a challenge for the nomination from Dr. Paul. What is Romney afraid of besides losing the nomination to a far better man! If not, he will face the wrath Ron Paul’s supporters at the convention and again in the voting booth in November.

    • someone

      Absolutely spot on!
If Romney can’t face the challenge of Ron Paul without cheating, he doesn’t deserve ANY support from any Ron Paul supporters.
Rand Paul and Kurt Bills are already wiped off my list of people to vote for ever again because of their back stabbing!

  • Daniel Deegan

I endorse everything John Shuey has said (above), except to add that the neo-fascists (interventionist/imperialist abroad & national security police state at home) are legion, own the Republican party and will not give up their vice-like grip on it. Paulites have won some notable victories this year but that has only embarrassed the neo-cons, not replaced them. To endorse Romney ( Obama clone and candidate of the two-headed warfare-welfare party) would make Dr. Paul a travesty of himself.

    • Jon

We The People are legion; the Elites are few

  • After Tampa, there will but one voice for Peace, Liberty, and Fiscal Responsibility remaining on the ballot, Governor Gary Johnson.

At this late date it is impossible to organize an independent bid, and there is no indication Dr. Paul desires to so do. Only a small number of states, fewer than a dozen, even bother to count write-in ballots, and some that do don’t report the results. Therefore a write in vote in general will not only not register your protest, but offer very little in the way of satisfaction.

That leaves Gary Johnson, whose positions line up 90% to 95% with Dr. Paul, and who HAS A RECORD OF BEING DOGGED IN THE PURSUIT OF HIS GOALS.

If you are in this movement based on principle, and for the long haul, give Governor Johnson some serious consideration. Freedom hangs in the balance.

  • LibertyIsTheOnly TrueMoveForward

Seriously General Ron Paul you and General Gary Johnson should have joined at the beginning. Until you two beome president and vice president you both are Generals… Until you become the Presidents of the United States Of America or the Presidents of the New Confederate States Of America and no it has nothing to do with racisim. If the presidency does not happen and one of the New World Order canadites becomes president meaning Mitt or Obama, then it is time for every states to jump ship and secede from the United States Of America. And do so whether the federal gov likes it or not. The news media and tv shows try to make light the seriousnous of the communist movement, and the federalist facisit movement…calling liberty and freedom extreme ideals or alernative thinking. In California politititions are doing what they can to disarm citizens as if government is infalible and as if government ideals are the perfect utopian society…and we see this type of thinking all across the US. Unfortunately we have many in law enforcement agencies and some in the military that are and will follow unlawful orders blindly disregarding the US Constitution..As seen on FOX News a rep from the DOJ used the excuse for unlawful behaviors are because they wouldn’t get paid if they didn’t follow through with unlawful orders…. but we do have those, many in the military and many in law enforcement agencies that will uphold the US Constitution. That will side with the people and protect this country and its people from the domestic threat against our freedom. So it is time to unite our communities, and vote for Ron Paul and Gary Johnson…and prepare to secede if need be. It’s very unfortunate that people are blinded and controlled by the media. It’s very unfortunate that our DOJ and DOD are not watching and apprehending the politicians that are serious domestic threats to freedom these are domestic terrorist. This is one proof that government ideals are not the perfect utopia. So its time to remember who your family and friends are from citizen to government, military, civilian or one of the law enforcement agencies…Time to rid our country of the tyrannts and traitors, the rogue agents in politics that seek communisim and facisim…those who are taking measures to end our Freedoms and Liberty. Time to unite our communities… putting aside color and creed…Vote for Ron Paul and Gary Johnson or secede from the Union.

You keep changing the order of the questions.

Ron Paul should run as an independent – with Dennis Kucinich as his VP. These two men of peace might not agree on everything but both have the good of the people at heart and would bring votes from both the left and right.

To get us out of perpetual war, close military bases and stop doing the bidding of Israel would bring the country back to prosperity.

    • ed

i think ventura would be a better v.p. than kucinich because kucinich wants more gun control & more control takes more liberty. If our founding fathers didnt have guns we still be under british control. Every major dictator started their regime with gun control, hitler, mao, pol pot, lenin etc. But while i dont agree with kucinich on all things i do believe hes not bought & paid for like others in politics. If gary johnson wasnt running he would be a good v.p. too. But I think Ventura’s notority with standing up against the corruption would help Paul’s election hopes more than any other candidate.
