Ron Paul: We Must Fiscally Restrain Our Government

by Ron Paul

The media insists on characterizing statements about dependency on government handouts as controversial, but in truth such statements are absolutely correct.  It’s not that nearly half of Americans are dependent on government; it’s actually more than half.  If one includes not just people on food stamps and welfare, but also seniors on Medicare, Social Security and people employed by the government directly, the number is more like 165 million out of 308 million, which is 53%.

Some argue that Social Security and Medicare benefits are a right because people pay into these programs their whole lives, or that we need a government safety net in place for people who fall on hard times.  However, this all becomes a moot point when the funds people depend on become worthless due to government default or rampant inflation.

This is less an issue of dignity or dependence on government, and more about the deceitfulness of government promises.

The Fed recently announced that it plans to keep interest rates near zero and keep buying near worthless assets from banks indefinitely.  This enables Congress to spend without having to take deficits or the debt seriously and there is every indication they intend to spend with impunity until the system collapses.  There are no brakes on the runaway train.  The federal debt ceiling law does nothing to limit spending. The ceiling will have to be raised yet again perhaps before the year is out.  What is happening in Greece with austerity measures and riots in the street will happen here within a decade according to some realistic estimates if we do not find some way to fiscally restrain our government.

There is little point in a debate about being entitled to healthcare or food or shelter from fellow taxpayers if the whole system has collapsed.  And, with the way our politicians have taken over and mismanaged vast amounts of resources, collapse seems almost unavoidable.  Yet the number of Americans who have significant dependency on government is dangerously high, and I honestly fear for them.

Worse, corporate welfare is also at an all time high with no signs of diminishing.  Though it is hard to quantify, Tad Dehaven at Cato has estimated that the government spends nearly twice as much on corporate welfare than on social welfare.  Both parties are equally guilty.  More and more, the business sector is learning to rely on taxpayer largesse in one form or another.  They used to be solely concerned with providing a better product to the consumer at a better price.  Now, success on Wall Street depends entirely too much on having the best lobbyists on K Street.  If one includes the employees of “private” businesses who depend on government contracts, grants or bailouts, there are even more people dependent on government in some way.

Government does not create resources when it taxes people and prints money; it merely redistributes the wealth, while supporting a massive, wasteful bureaucracy along the way.  Government is a giant, blood-sucking parasite on our otherwise healthy economy.  For too long we have entrusted too much economic power and influence to irresponsible politicians in Washington.  It’s the chaos that ensues after they run the system into the ground that will be so painful for so many people.  But realigning our economy with the free market and away from government mandates and handouts must happen in order for it to thrive again.

The answer is not to keep asking government to do more.  The answer is to extricate our economy and ourselves from the grasp of Washington DC as much as possible now, before our dependency becomes our downfall.

I found this page because of watching a video in which this man said things I had seen myself, about the propaganda being used to fuel unrest in the world. I have noticed this particularly with YouTube.
I didn’t know that the US congress had been ignored, I assumed that there would be many Americans who are against war. I thought that fears of global domination were paranoia but I can see now that it’s corporate.
I’m not American but I wanted to say I respect Ron Paul for standing up and saying things that other politicians dare not.
I hope very strongly that he isn’t being used to draw votes from others and so strengthen the warmongerers

  • “And they worshiped the Dragon who gave power unto the Beast and they worshiped the Beast, saying, Who is like unto the Beast? Who is able to make war with him?” Revelation 13.4

Here are just some of the teachings of Israel, the Synagogue of Satan:

Sanhedrin 106a . Says Jesus’ mother was a whore: “She who was the descendant of princes and governors played the harlot with carpenters.”

Gittin 57a. Says Jesus is in hell, being boiled in “hot excrement.”

Yebamoth 98a. All gentile are animals.

    Paul Ryan & Joe Biden

  • so what are you doing here? we really don’t want you here. Troll somewhere else…

  • Four now, the VPs joined them.

  • As always… Thank you, Ron Paul!

  • No they are the two former supporters that see him for who he is. A traitor who kept the liberty party form becoming anything important this election. He allowed the GOP to screw him and in doing so allowed the system to continue another 4 years, maybe longer. He played the system to give his son a leg up as well. I supported him until he allowed the GOP to steel the election in Iowa and other states. I also dont like the amount of money he paid to his campaign manager and his family members.

  • Even God hates you fuckin’ paultards.

  • You fuckin’ paultards are the scum of the Earth.

  • Only Ron Paul

  • Only Ron Paul

  • you have my best wishes

Voting for the lesser of two evils, still gets you evil.

Has anyone noticed the Barack creature looks more and more like a chimpanzee, and the Mitt creature like a statue in Madame Tussaud’s Wax Museum…and that both are liars and cheats that hate Free Americans!

So, are you going to vote for Plastic Man or Monkey Boy…hoping whichever one of these evils will destroy our Free Nation at a slower pace…?

Or, are you going to take a stand against these two anti-American subhumans, and vote your conscience instead!

Gary Johnson is THE ONLY ONE TO GET YOUR VOTE — if you are a Real American!

The money spent by our Government is backed through taxation. The same private corporations that own and control The Federal Reserve also are tied to the IRS. Ultimate power that could only be sustained through CFR Manipulations.

The Unconstitutional way US Monetary Policy and IRS operations commence has Natural consequences. Consequences that will eventually need balancing. Currently, the most effective way the shadow Government uses to balance their system is through Force Grown Economics (FGE), War and Genocide. Because their system is not sustainable they must resort to extremes to keep it going.
Like I am telling you all hear something you do not already know and understand.

So now what? Here in public view could we organize a practical effort to stop these mad men on their path to total controlled destruction. Or, what can we do? Unearthing the truth is like pulling a rotten tooth. Nobody likes that! Ron Paul is like the doctor who would tie a string to the bad tooth and tie the other end to a door knob. Let US close the door.

You all speak of Gold. Gold is precious and very valuable. But remember that when a Human is cold and hungry that it does not care too much for Gold if it will not feed them or cloth them.

The powers of mediums of exchange should exemplify the greatest Hallmarks of US. Some may want to trade for Gold so they can utilize its super conductivity. However, some would trade with grains of wheat for the lumber needed to build a new barn. Either way, both are honest trades.

Understanding the original colonial currencies and backing this up with proper documentation is like trying to fill a tire that’s got a hole in it. This whole epic happening of colonial currencies is like a phantom in the night. We have been systematically brainwashed about our own US origins.

Seventh grade! Oh yea so happy and good for me. American history we are free and independent. So I was taught to feel and think. Then, eight grade. This is where the money changers start their bull crap. All the money changers blunders and atrocities need to be properly indoctrinated into the US teenager boys so that they can keep and preserve their power over the generations.
I did not fall for this indoctrination. For me it was about how and why could so many lives have to be destroyed after something as great as the US Constitution and the opportunity it gave to all Humanity was established?

So, I asked my Father. My Father showed me His Library of books. What is left is the ultimate promise of God over our galaxy. This promise is so good and so pure that I want you to know that you all have equal and just opportunity to partake. The one true God power has no beginning or no end it simple has always existed.

From this point on it is all about gaining knowledge about how and why we are in existence. The idea that the US Constitution would give each individual inalienable right is part of the proper expansion of the Universe. We have only one problem to overcome. That is the proper proportional representation of mediums of exchange.

  • lol! PERFECT!
