I would LOVE Vote for Ron as my first choice, and would like to see Gary run again as my second choice.

BUT I don't know if Ron has any fight left in him, heck just think about the mess he will be faced with once he gets in, and having to contend with the masses of people who no doubt will be begging for quick fixes in the wake of inflation.

Also, it sounded like Gary was burnt out himself from the first (and very demoralizing) run. I'm sure the lot of us who diligently campaigned for him since August felt the sting of such futility after the elections and given the whole "too little too late" dynamic at play here it is really making me debate to myself if I want to register Republican anymore.

I have very mixed feelings about Rand, but I'm afraid he is probably the only one who will have the stamina left in him to continue. So he would be my first choice for 2016. Rand is policy wise no worse than Garys' was anyway. Rand is THE only reason I have to not just register as Libertarian.

Jesse would be a very close second, I like Mr. Ventura allot, though there are people who would be put off by his outspokeness (his nice record in Minnesota notwithstanding).

    Third would be Andy.

If we could see a team up perhaps, like Rand with Gary, Andy or Jesse, then I think we could have something very powerful. Also, Jesse with Gary or Andy or Andy with the other two would also be very nice and I'd vote for them in a heart beat.

Your Poll reflects the most basic problem with American politics and election processes. We will never have a real democracy until we have "none of the above" on ever ballot for every position from President to honorable Dog Catcher. It is that simple. That basic. Think about it. The Greeks had it. Think hard. Real hard.

And if an incumbent really did a good job, a minimal marker of performance and loyalty to those of the electorate, then at least 50 percent of the casting voters should so agree; and thus we need a Constitutional Amendment stating any and all incumbents, of any and all elected positions, need a minimum 50 percent in order to retain office.

We need a Constitutional amendment stating that a corporation is not a person, and cannot donate to campains.

Until we amend our election processes, to reflect these concerns, the merits of our founding fathers will be lost forever. We get the government we deserve.

For those that think Ron Paul lost, actually, no he didn't. He succeeded in enlightening and waking up more people than any politician in recent history.

As he has said himself, his foremost goal in running was always to enlighten people.. winning the presidency was only a side goal.

Who has created more genuine change.. Ron Paul or Obama? I think if you do the research you will come to realize the truth.

I was very disappointed at first after what happened with the GOP and all the corruption, but now that the dust has settled the effect he had is clear to see.

Ron Paul's revolution will never die. The change he effected is not restricted to a mere 4-8 years, but will go on forever and be remembered throughout history.

Regardless of what happens to this country now, it will always be remembered and emulated.

History will look back on Obama and Ron Paul in completely different ways. We will soon see what kind of traitor Obama really is.. A leopard can only hide its spots for so long.

In Ron Paul's words.. "Speak up, speak often, and don't worry about those who cannot yet understand.. They can never un-hear what we tell them." :-)

    Long live the rEVOLution!

(By change, I meant Positive change. Certainly Obama has achieved a lot of negative change toward moving us into a bankrupt police state. ;P)

My pick for 2016 is clearly and unwaveringly, RON Paul ; he is the ONLY candidate (during this years primaries that espoused the principles I believe in: i.e. limited government; end the fed ; stay out of other sovereign nations; and stay out of peoples personal lives --as long as they are not interfering with your life). I was AMAZED that the Republicans at the Tampa Convention simply blew him off--an incredible demonstration of arrogance and being out-of-touch..
Anybody that can think straight realizes that we Conservatives can no longer rely on todays Republican Party to do the right thing! That's simply the way it is! I accept that, and understand that from now on I'll be supporting a "splinter party" Libertarian----maybe eventually it will make a difference, nationally, through all kinds of ways......

While I totally support Ron Paul, in 4 years from now he will be well into his 80s and I doubt that he'll get much support from mainstream America or enough to be elected. Dennis Kucinch would be another great choice, but he too I think will be ignored by the mainstream voters. Jesse Ventura I think is the best choice from this list. He has the experience and a good record as governor of Minnesota, he's honest, he tells it like it is, he is not a corporate robot, and he dosen't back down! He still surfs which would make him popular with many younger voters and I doubt any of these guys could win a debate with him! The only good thing about Obama being elected, is we'll only have him for 4 years. We could have been stuck with Romney for 8 years! No way I'll ever support Rand Paul. He sold out his own father to Romney!

Ron Paul is the only Republican I would have voted for. Santorum was a disturbing religious zealot, Romney was a moron, and the others weren't even worth mentioning. Ron Paul made sense. He was intelligent and believable. He was well-balanced (as in, not overly religious or woman-hating, etc) and well-spoken. It's such a shame that a puppet like Romney was thrust into the limelight over Paul. Anyway, I don't think it'll matter who heads up the Republican party in 2016 because they'll be up against Hillary Clinton. She's most likely a shoe-in. Heck, unless someone like Ron Paul runs again, I'll vote for her.

Though, Judge Napalitano with Ron would be a great ticket or Judge with Dennis Kucinich ior Jesse. The rest are just the same old Lobbyist supported jack balls.

I just hope that whomever people decide on thier votes for President they take into consideration that legacy Rand was going to be handed to him, from his father and his fathers supporters.

Rand traded in Rons Supporters support, for the support of the same Lobbyist "HIS SUPPORT FOR THE SAME LOBBYIST CANDIDATE THAT HIS DAD HAS FOUGHT 30 YEARS AGAINST".

I used to be a believer in Rand, but there is NO WAY that a true Constitutionalist, America First believer, etc.. like his dad Ron, would flip flop "UNLIKE" his dad, on issues that were truely important to him.

Would Ron ever flip flop, sell out his supporters, country, etc.. ???? NO. Did Rand?.. Yes. UNLIKE HIS DAD, Rand flipped flopped just like Mitt did. 2 Peas in the same pod, right Rand Romney??.

I say Ron, even though he will be older and retiring, because Traitor Rand sold out his soul and went to the dark side.
Through his support for the establishment lobbyist Mitt (who by his own admission, doesn't know the most important piece of legislation that the President is supposed to defend) , the same group of people his dad has fought against for the past 30 years.
I think I will wait to see who Ron Endorses (other than his son) and either go with Write in Ron or for the Person Ron endorses for President.

Where have you been during this election, campaign and pre-campaign? Did Ron Paul get the media exposure that Romney and Obama got? Was he or was he not boycotted by the liberal media? Did the Romney campaign and the GOP play a dirty trick on Ron Paul changing the rules for access to the Convention Floor the last minute? Ron Paul would have won by a landslide if the nation heard and read about him in all of the major news media. Furthermore, Ron would have been nominated from the Convention Floor had he and his delegates been allowed in. Please speak for yourself and not for the American people who have had far too many lies from the Progressives that have infiltrated BOTH PARTIES. The intelligent voter checks out a person's past voting record, education, affiliations, indictments, etc. ????? Did you know that the Damon, Org. under Romney was indicted for bilking Medicare and Medicaid out of millions of dollars???? But then, Corporations are "its" and its' leaders cannot be blamed for the sins of the it!!!! To my mind, Romney is a criminal and like Obama will get away with his crimes because they both are Progressives.

Americans don't elect a president anyway. The ruling class pre-select the puppet and then make darn sure that he/she gets in....With Obama's record, who in their right mind would vote him a second term? The ruling class can afford to pay for a blind eye and they must have paid plenty. TAKE YOUR HEAD OUT OF THE SAND.

For all of you people who are waiting for the rapture I'm sorry to disappoint you, but there is not going to be a rapture if you do not believe this see Amos 5: 18- 20, Woe unto you that desire the day of the Lord! to what end is it for you? the day of the Lord is darkness and not light. As if a man did flee from a lion, and a bear met him; or went into the house, and leaned his hand on the wall, and a serpent bit him. Shall not the day of the Lord be darkness, and not light? even very dark, and no brightness in it. In Amos 5: 21- 23 God told you he hates the phony balony church service you offer to him that he has refused to smell in you solemn assemblies. The word rapture was never found in the bible until the 20th century. They have watered down the bible until its no longer the word of God by translating it and retranslating it. Whats wrong with the good old fashon King James version? There is not going to be any rapture. Things will continue to get darker and darker until it finally comes to a head; and that will be the end when it gets to a certain point and it can't go any further. Then out of the greatest darkness will come forth the light (see Isaiah 60: 1- 3).

I agree....we will be a thing of the past....history..in less than 4 years unless we are blessed with Divine Intervention or a miracle from Heaven. Obama signed 925 Executive Destructive Orders in the first 4 years. He has no intentions of being bi-partison. If this was his modus operandi, he would have abided by the Constitution and let Congress do their job enacting the law. God has a plan for Obama and it is not going to be to our liking, but Obama is the pre-cursor for "the anti-Christ" and if the people of the world are paying attention, they will repent and be ready for the end of the age is predicted in this generation....not much time left....BE READY or burn.
PLEASE REMEMBER, Jesus said that He will not come the second time as God/man, incarnated, but rather in the Glory of His Eternal Countenance! His second coming will be SPECTACULAR..... Let this be your guide so that you will not fall for the powerful persuasion and deception from the master deceiver. God bless you, America and Israel.

The top candidates are all great, but I predict, there wont be a 2016 election. Not if the states break up. I did want to throw in John Stossel, Phil Donahue, Virgil Goode, and Jack Cafferty. This is a silly statement but Cafferty reminds me of a president like we had back in the 1950's. Stossel would make a great president. On the results list, all of them are good from Paul to Ventura. The rest below would be horrible presidents....Jeb Bush, Rick Santorum? Come on!

    Dear Mr. Ron Paul,
In these couple of days, I heard the news about that Republican’s discussion about why Mr. Mitt Romney lost this election in 2012. According to my experiences, I would like to introduce the sample facts that might be suitable for the most reason of how many people decide for the vote for 2012.
Here the example is that, I am an independent vote who had transferred the nationality to US America citizen for only 8 years. I started to vote the US president since 2008 even I did not well know any detail about whom was I vote for. According to the facts, I talked with many people I know about in 2012, regarding to whom and why they prefer to vote for, I found many people including many USA native bored US citizens, also does not know much about whom, the president candidates they vote for.
Many people, the new America citizens, including the sentience, doctors, engineer, who have the related stable employments; and many low income workers, unemployment USA citizens who were previous employed work in USA, are not politest. As same as me, they do not familiar the politic opinion, the leadership ability, economy knowledge background of the Precedent candidates. They only know what the politics advertisements told to them. Many people who have lower education and associate knowledge only vote what the politics advertisers told they, to vote someone who can give them free health insurance, free money, free food and free everything. These people would not ask whether these are true or frauds, but they prefer the simple vote for. Does anyone know how the 2008 president Obama can give the free lunch to them? You can easily find the answer by asking anyone on the stress who voted for Obama. I say this because this was how I voted for Obama in 2008. But the result of my vote is put me down under the unemployment situation for more than 3 years after Obama became the USA President, and I unable get the food stamp and Medicare assisted after I am suppressed under unemployment for more than 3 years in 2012.
This is very clear about why Mitt Romany lost vote from Africa Americans and young people. Because the most of Africa Americans and young people only know that Obama is current USA President and part of America American. Also, the lower income people are waiting for some free lunch as what I thought in 2008 without asking any prove about how it would happen.
I am glad for that Ron Paul nominated many new candidates in 4 years before 2016 President Elections. Beside of I know a little bid about Ron Paul and Paul Ryan in just before couple of months of elections, from how you participated for the election for 2012USA President; I do not know anyone of others whom you named for.
As my knowledge, Mitt Romney did better performances on introduced about his future plans for USA economy recovery, and gave a hope to unemployment people than Obama did in the 2012 election. However, Republicans ignored about that the most of low educated people and young people does not care about the how USA economy going to be, because they have not life experiences to really thinking about what is the economy for how USA would to be.
I original came from the RP. China, I fortunate aware about how commonest form the low income workers and unemployment drove the revelations to defect capitalists. Low income workers and unemployment do not know much how economy runs, they only can see what kind of environment they are working in, without very clear about what they are work for. But they clear aware about that they are low and non-income in struggling for surviving. They stick for revolution to force capitalists bankrupting. They occupied the leadership positions in china without many knowledge for running economy even they deeply desired on driving economy to be better, but the outcome was they failed economy by put everyone without available from enough food, no qualified healthy living conditions, no-Medicare available even if the most Medicare were free, because there were not many medical doctors available since no science education were allowed. China changed completely for turnover to economy development since the last President Xiao-Ping Dong got on Chinese Leadership position. Dong encouraged the free competitions from working contracts to lower investment required with high revenues for return to government finance supports. This is how China economy restarted with allows the capitalism private company development and be successful reach on top economy of this world in today.
Do Republicans and Obama like Dong’s economy strategy? In facts, I found that current world employments pursue on denying free competition for prohibiting the practical efficacy of working achievements; employment administrations associated with Union workers only protect the employments for people’s to get salary and benefit decompensation by strong suppressing who have skills and scientific knowledge on capable practical achieving the work goals. How USA economies can recovery?
From my understanding, no matter who is the President of USA, the economy only can slide on downward, nerve able recovery until all of Americans tired about the living situation from none heath care would be available, no gasoline and energy would be affordable, no more salary for food and living. Whether and when USA will reach to this condition? Let we see.
Does anyone believe any of future President able recovery USA economy after 2016? If none would like to predicate this vision for which direction USA economy trend for, I doubt about whether USA economy would able turn on upward again.

Follow up: Many independents would have voted for Ron in the last primary, but they didn't realize they could not vote as independents. Next time, make sure that all independents know that they must register as Republicans for the primary in order to vote in many states. I do not know how a popular vote would have gone if Ron had been the Republican candidate. I would have liked to have seen how many of the millions of conservatives who didn't vote, would have taken the time to vote.

I have supported Ron for many years. His message has is greater than any candidate or person. The message must go on. The press has gotten OB elected the last two elections. Unless the press is exposed and cleaned up, they will continue to control the elections. No truly qualified candidate will be elected with the press controlling the news like they do. The American public shift their views based on what they see or hear in the media. The American public must feel more pain before they will listen. I watched the Republicans robe votes from Ron and get away with it. Nothing was even brought up in the press. I feel like the two parties are both failures. That is why I have become independent.
