When Paul talks about a gold standard, he's not advocating that a government impose a gold standard. He's talking about a free market of currencies that are bought or sold according to a value that is determined by market forces. Some currency dealers might back their currencies with gold, others with other rare metals, and others perhaps with oil or other valuable resources. The point is, governments should not be in the money business any more than it should be in the automobile business

Becouse elections are all manipulated. obama wasnt elected. they let you a choose between two zionists but the decision which one of both will be president, is already made! elections are just a show to make you people think that you have a choice. there is no choice you only think you have!

    QUOTE
"I am just absolutely convinced that the best formula for giving us peace and preserving the American way of life is freedom, limited government, and minding our own business overseas.

There is only one kind of freedom and that's individual liberty. Our lives come from our creator and our liberty comes from our creator. It has nothing to do with government granting it."

It's a bit too late to go back to the gold standard, unfortunately, as there is currently far more money in circulation than we have gold. Trying to go back to the gold standard now would cause the price of gold to jump drastically.

Ok, I will say this one last time: The SIZE of the government is of NO importance. I am not against small government, the size of the government does not concern me. It is the corruption that bothers me.

I have said that 3 times now. Third time's the charm?

The whole speech was a summery of modern USA. I have ever heard some wonderful speeches in my time but this I have to consider as the best.

and you are a tyrant! so if he is a "traitor" to you, that means you hate freedom.. and that means that he is a hero for people like me who want to be free, non-violent and to be left alone! in simple terms, you are pathetic, authoritarian scum!

we the people like this video because of it's uncorrupted message, not because of this great mans retirement from the now disgustingly corrupt political system that we the people are doing nothing about...the worst enemy of we the people is complacency

so all of us have to pay for another persons education and healthcare... so you believe in slavery and/or forced labor. you think that people should be forced to work and with the earnings/fruits from their labor be forced to give it to others... that's slavery/forced labor.
and what do you mean..."behave 'like' animals"...we are animals.
evolution states that only the strongest, fastest and smartest survive, you know, "survival of the fittest".

That's good that you lost hope in the government. Now you can try to keep your earnings and decide for yourself how they are to be best utilized for you to build, create, invent, and to help your own family, community and neighborhood.

What people like myself and Ron Paul are against is fascism, corporate control and cooperation with govt. I would ask you to watch 'Ron Paul educates some liberals', its a interview which Paul touches on many libertarian subjects. With all respect, I think you are the one doing magical thinking. You admit the govt is corrupt, even naturally so, yet you say small govt is bad. So you would rather have a large corrupt govt than a small corrupt govt. Im sorry but that makes lil sense to me.

No, that is not what I am saying:

    "Government will ALWAYS be corrupt."

The size of it is irrelevant. I'm afraid I don't see how that supports your point.

The largest govt possible is the utopia of corporations. When a government can control or regulate a field and the companies naturally flow to gain influence of the govt. You are basically saying small government is corporate tyranny(a line I have heard from liberals to no end), but you are ignoring that the reason lobbyists flock to DC is because DC is in everything. DC in in the housing market, resources, finance, education, drugs, etc.. You are right, govt is corrupt, this supports my point.

Our federal government claims the right to spy on American citizens, indefinitely detain them, and even assassinate them without trial.Domestic drones fly over the country for civilian surveillance. Twelve million fewer Americans voted in 2012 than in 2008, yet political pundits scratch their heads. And they wonder why?? XD

Ok so you do support spending $689B on Defense and not putting a dime of federal money to help prepare our youth for the job market through higher education?

My solution is that the federal government has no authority to pass regulation or taxes, as regulation is a form of monopoly and taxes a form of robbery. I decree that all abstract entities, such as the idea we call the "state", compete in a free market. If individuals choose to buy the services of the entity in question, then the entity will prevail as its service provides value. Let market demand be our "election". Let market forces determine candidate "A" or "B".

    Vote for me for president
