His age will be a factor in people’s perception of his ability to perform the job. He is the best man to lead our country, and if his policies are implemented, they would benefit not only our personal liberty, but the rest of the world would breath a sigh of relief.

well golly, on whose money and on whose time?

you need only to have listened to the truth of why the elections produced the winner they did. electoral votes are the ONLY votes that count. why do we even vote? we knew over a week before the pools who won. our popular votes don’t count for shi* and it’s too damned bad. america is NOT america any longer. we were founded by men of substance like paul. now the gimme-gimmes are going to take-take all they can. big bro can eat his hog jowls and laugh.

i wrote in my vote for Ron Paul anyway, irreguardless if he ran or not. If he runs in the next one i’ll vote for him again. Im my opinion the options were unthinkable and if more had written in their votes for him then maybe the message would have gotten through. I would write in my vote for micky mouse before i would have voted for either of the asshats that were running.

If Dr. Paul is still feeling up to it and his mind remains as sharp as it is right now he should run. He needs to recruit an excellent running mate like Kucinich who is perceived to be ‘of the left’ but is strongly aligned with Dr. Paul on the issues that matter most like military aggression.

Rand Paul is not fit to stand beside his father, h politician.e is a typical slimy

I really doubt Rand is just a politician. I believe he is just making himself electable . Imagine groing up listening to ur passionate father complain about government corruption and trying to fight it but never winning any great legislative battles over 30 yrs. How would that feel? Ron Paul is the man and he woke up a lot of us now Rand needs to take advantage of the momentum while making himself electable.

Paul had his chance in 2012!!! Why did he back down??!!! Time is of the essence!!! Does Ron Paul have another four years left in him to wait for another shot at a four year term??!!! These elections are rigged any how!! The system doesn’t work, we need a real revolution!!!

The Republicans throw the election. Romney (Obama, Bush look alikes) had no chance. Only Ron Paul had a new message that would have brought in the votes to win. Ron would have creamed Obama in the debates!!!! The funny thing is now that the Republicans are looking to reboot, they are sounding more like Dr. Paul.

I was surprised by the survey on Ron running for TX Governor. He needs to stay on the national scene and start running for 2016 NOW! Pull us together Dr. Paul and let’s finish what we started.

The Republican party as is will never nominate people like Ron Paul or Rand Paul. There are however party members who would stand behind them.

I begin to think that Libertarian leaning Republicans should fraction and start a new party, while attracting conservative minded independents and possibly some Democrats. This could be done by Rand or similar individuals. And this new party should not be named Libertarian – the voters have already been led to associate the name with anarchy (scary things,) fanatic beliefs (no compromises on important issues,) or utopian views (some people view liberty and freedom as utopia.)

If not, Libertarians should have the balls to work on Nullification or Secession by education people, and why not – moving to NH and organizing better.

However, I really think Ron Paul should pass the torch to somebody else who has his same resolve and commitment to liberty and who will not sell out to the establishment.

Ron Paul: You’re Not FREE if you Can’t Secede from an Oppressive Government

“In a free country, governments derive their power from the consent of the governed. When the people have very clearly withdrawn their consent for a law, the discussion should be over. If the Feds refuse to accept that and continue to run roughshod over the people, at what point do we acknowledge that that is not freedom anymore? At what point should the people dissolve the political bands which have connected them with an increasingly tyrannical and oppressive federal government? And if people or states are not free to leave the United States as a last resort, can they really think of themselves as free?”

We are passing the rubicon for what qualifies as a peaceful transition of power. People now want to secede. Feds are expanding their control grid. I am utterly lost on how you think that putting the energy into running Ron Paul will have any success. America is Lost. The media control over the hearts and minds of people is choking creativity and free thinking out of Americans. We no longer value liberty and freedom… we value iPhones, and government welfare checks… food stamps, and illegal wars.

Rand Paul is an enigma. His endorsement of Romney tasted like battery acid to me. I will not forget it when the time comes to consider him as a candidate for President… if that time ever comes. I do not think that the GOP will even allow it.

Ron Paul has done a fine job… and his only purpose may have been to set the embers of liberty into the minds of men, so that when tyranny has it’s full hold on us all, that men of valor might yet take a stand, and throw tyrants down, and smite them.

Until then, I suggest that Ron Paul enjoy his children. he has done enough already, and it is up to the rest of us to don the mantle of liberty, and carry it forth.

    Sic Sempre Tyranis!

      To Jeff’s posting November 20, 2012 at 8:17 am -

I could not have expressed it any more cogently or persuasively. Thank you for your comments. If you are not familiar with Chris Duane and his excellent Youtube series, The Greatest Truth Never Told, [http://www.youtube.com/user/TruthNeverTold/videos?view=0] his overriding message is closely aligned with Dr. Paul’s sentiments (if I may be permitted to paraphrase):

Don’t seek to change the world; rather change your own consciousness, values and allegiances. Pursue and exalt personal, responsible liberty and freedom. Reject the false left/right paradigm that passes for our political system and walk away, thereby depriving it of its power over you. Choose love or fear. Forge and follow your own path rather than the herd.

At the Thanksgiving table, I will summon a blessing for all good, simple people everywhere, my brethren, in whom passions for reason, liberty and freedom over collectivist and statist forces and policies burn brightly and true. Nothing can stop an idea whose time has come. I pray this is that idea!

We had two candidates that were selected by election fraud that both the DNC and the RNC were behind, not two candidates that were chosen by the people.

The 2008 Democratic Nominating Committee (DNC) document did not include language stating that Obama was qualified to be a candidate. The 2008 Republican Nominating Committee (RNC) document did, as is normal. This shows that the DNC knew that Obama was not qualified, or why change the form?

We all know what fraud was done in selecting the GOP presidential election in 2012 – multiple vids and witnesses yet no arrests, prosecutions done. Ron Paul and Andrew Napolitano would have been the 2012 President and Vice President except “We the People” accepted the election fraud instead of demanding TRUTH, and a RE VOTE. Then arrests and PROSECUTIONS for EVERYONE at EVERY level who committed election fraud.

Worse, we allowed them to not let our overseas military vote! the Military and Overseas Voter Empowerment Act supposedly making it easier for military personnel based overseas to vote. Yet, The Defense Department’s Inspector General reported that the Pentagon was not complying this year with the Military and Overseas Voter Empowerment Act. SCYTL was contracted to provide secure online ballot delivery for overseas military and civilian voters for the 2012 presidential election.

Election Fraud is against state laws, and when it includes a federal election is a federal offense also.

I put a petition up that needs signatures: We Can Immediately Fire and Replace Any Constitutional Oath Taker That Doesn’t Keep the Legally Binding Oath as Required
US Constitution is Supreme Law. The first law statute of the USA was Statute 1, Chapt 1: an act to regulate the time and manner of administering certain oaths, which established the oath required by civil and military officials to support the Constitution. The wording of the Presidential Oath – Constitution, Article II, Section 1, Clause 8. The Oath requirement for all Fed and State Civil officers – Art VI, Sect 1, Clause 4. The Oath is binding for life.
Solemn: “Legally binding, Common legal phrase indicating that an agreement has been consciously made, and certain actions are now either required or prohibited”, “The other requirement for an agreement or contract to be considered legally binding is consideration – both parties must knowingly understand what they are agreeing to”. http://wh.gov/XB5b

Please sign. Please raise h-ll over election fraud in your state, demand arrests and prosecutions – plus a RE VOTE that is hand written, hand counted IN FRONT of witnesses and on video every time there is a count as is required by our legitimate government.

I love Ron and all the hard work he has done but I think he will be seen as too old for the job in 2016.
I was sad to see him surrender some of his Libertarian principals to placate the Republican hard core. I think that he might have done better had he not let himself get drawn into their extreme positions.

Sadly one has to be an extremist to get past the primary.

Ron I’ve voted for you every time you have run and argued you to anyone and everyone but I believe that the time has come. America isn’t going to listen to reason or look at history beyond yesterday.

Rand; I hope you will run if you stick to your principals and don’t let the extremists tell you what to say I will be one of the millions voting for you.
But all medical decisions, including abortion should be left to patients and doctors without government involvement.

Though Paul has all the thinking that we need, it is sad that we have no one else that can see the logic necessary in selecting a potential leader. It’s clear that we have a broken country. On one hand we have an enormous number of people who are overly aggressive toward other countries. And we have another large number of our people who do not have the knowledge to make the kinds of rationale decisions necessary for selecting a qualified individual. This means we are in a position for a candidate with an outgoing personality capable of getting elected, but then unable to govern in a rational manner. The only answer that I can see is educating our population well enough so they are capable of applying rational thinking to decision making, and that can take more time than we have to fix things.

I said that I thought Ron Paul should not run for President in 2016. I am a Ron Paul fan and I believe he is correct in so many ways but it does not seem to be what Americans are looking for as a majority. It is a sad sign that this country is in the process of undergoing change that is in the wrong direction. That the majority of the people want what is easiest for themselves, not what is right for the country as a whole.

I do not believe that most people today see the connection between true liberty and strength and making sacrifice for what is right over what is wrong. Until the majority does see this leaders like Ron Paul will have no merit nor chance to truly lead this country back to the truth and being strong again. We as a country will have to face the consequences for it decisions. It is likely we will lose our freedom before we realize what it worth. But then will the people have the courage to fight for what is right and for their freedom like our fore fathers did in this country?

I see the convection in the Ron Paul’s followers, but not in the majority of the population. Perhaps after severe consequences and situations some will find or regain their beliefs in truth and freedom. The majority sees Ron Paul followers as fanatics and hopeless thinkers. They are the seed of hope for the future of this country.

    What It Will Take

    Liberty struggles mightily,
in the deep end of the pool.
    Evil War Maker’s snicker,
    the evil War Monger’s drool.

    Invasion here, Depression there,
the cash just keeps rolling in.
Leaders play all the fixed games,
    a casino of Constitutional Sin.

They think most Yanks to be,
    a mob of brainless tools.
    Demographics to dissect,
    emotional, manipulated fools.

    Liberty and freedom,
earned over the harsh, long haul.
Takes a thoughtful vote for free will,
a peaceful vote for Ron Paul.

I answered that Ron Paul should not run but that his son Rand should. Ron’s positions are spot on with what this country needs but I’m not sure he has the right personality and demeanor to be the best possible candidate. Ron would be much better suited to have an organizational/supporting role. More importantly, I am convinced that Ron, Andrew Napolitano and other influential libertarian leaning voices should forget about the Republican party and either form a new libertarian leaning third party or infuse themselves into the current Libertarian party. The Republican party is firmly controlled by those who will never abandon the religious right’s positions regarding the federal goverment’s intrusion in social issues and those who believe in the U.S.’s military domination of the world. They will never adopt true libertarian beliefs on these issues and which is what turns off a majority of moderate democrats and independents who may otherwise support a Republican candidate.

This leave the media issue. It’s also time for libertarians to seriously organize themselves and form a new national news channel (my suggestion is LNBC – Libertarian National Broadcasting Corporation) which will not marginalize the libertarian position and candidates. Clearly FOX showed it will never support a candidate like Ron Paul due to his position on the military and leaving issues like abortion up to the states. Just look what they did to Judge Napolitano when he continued to voice support for Ron Paul. Funding for a news network could easily be obtained – I’m sure there are enough Ron Paul supporters to fund this through share purchases in a new corporation and/or donations. You can be sure the current media outlets will be one of the biggest hurdles in getting the libertarian message out to the voters. Much of the public, like myself, is totally fed up with the media’s control by the left and right wing elements within both current parties and would welcome the opportunity to see Judge Napolitano anchor the evening news on LNBC!!!!!

Ron Paul and his son as vise president should run however there’s a problem, when Ron Paul was attempting to complete this time around what I noticed was that the media stations only showed Mitt and his views and Obama, and not Ron Paul? In other words, the vote in rigged for sure and the only way to compete next time around would be to do things or say’t things where the media would be forced to show him or express his views; it would have to be radical. I am afraid we been hoodwinked this election and it’s so obvious how the media funnels people perception down to the winner. The media purposely blocks any notion that the Federal Reserve is unconstitutional and it’s the shadow government or Fed who’s calling the shots.
