“No one did shit”? Really? There were several independant alternative media sources that tried to out the “mainstream media” on their bias. However, independant media = less money than mainstream. Actually there is no need for central bank.
A government that is good enough to print the bonds that backup the currency, is good enough to print the currency itself without the need for an intermediary (and the ridiculous interest for giving nothing).
The constitution give that power to congress (an only congress, the constitutional is clear on this). And in 1913 it was hijacked by the Unconstitutional “Federal” Reserve. Which is about as federal as federal express.

Could we have a central bank under congressional control? This would be a solution in a world where congress is not already under the central banks (of the world) control.
