If just half of Ron Paul’s supporters who were just half his age, did just half of what he does, who would be the next President? The only reason that things are so bad right now is because so few of us are doing enough to stop it.

The message from Ron Paul is not that if he gets elected President, he will somehow solve all of our problems. The message of freedom is that YOU have to fight for it. The message is that YOU have to take responsibility.
What will you do without freedom? Will you fight? Fight and you may die. Run and you’ll live, at least a while. And dying in your beds many years from now, would you be willing to trade all the days from this till then, for one chance, just one chance, to tell our enemies that they may take our lives but they will never take our freedom! I am behind Ron Paul 100% but I think he needs to change his approach, or at least communicate better to the elderly voting pool that taking away social security and medicade in it’s current form will NOT leave those people in the cold. I’m not saying sell out to Big Brother by any means. I’m just saying he must cater to the 50 plus voting pool that is unreasonably scared of Dr. Paul. We need these people if we are to secure this nomination.

Justices Antonin Scalia and Stephen Breyer discussed the decision(Citizens United super PAC) before the South Carolina bar, with Scalia telling opponents of the decision to just turn their TVs off if they didn’t like seeing all the negative ads. Are Americans stupid enough to swallow this solution. Negative ads is an aggravation and often dishonest. The real and dangerous problem is the nibbling away at our constitution.
Citizens United: The only thing “people” or people-like about corporations is that they can f**k. The wealthy corporations and billionaires that destroyed our economy and caused millions of us to lose our jobs and homes have now set their sights on a hostile takeover of our elections and our government. They are spending millions of dollars to elect and defeat candidates, and all that secret money could drown out the voices of voters like you and me.

I’m so disgusted with the media! I no longer watch or listen to Hannity, Rush, Levin, The 5, Cavuto, O’Reilly, they are ALL lame stream media (LSM) right/left mox/nix – Hannity portrays the least disrespect and disdain for Dr. Paul, although he is patronizing and smug and you can tell it is painful when he contributes a small token of his time to mention Paul regarding polls or anything else, the rest just blatantly omit him, they are all disgusting. I admit it must be frustrating at how difficult it is for them to dig up dirt on him. As for the argument that Iran is going to nuke us, HOW? Oh, duh! That’s right they can just walk one across the border, we are busy sacrificing our soldiers to other countries for the safety of America, the home-front’s wide open, sitting ducks. We do have the TSA (conditioning us to accept obedience/no personal rights) they caught granny the other day with a 38, after she got on the plane. They are really on a founding fathers kick except they fail to recognize that crazy Dr. Paul is the only one telling the truth and following the principles of the “Founding Fathers”. In 1786 George Washington said “The great rule of conduct for us, in regard to foreign nations is in extending our commercial relations, to have with them as little political connection as possible”. In 1799 Thomas Jefferson said “commerce with all nations, alliance with none should be our moto” and again in 1823 he said “I have ever deemed it fundamental for the U.S., never to take active part in the quarrels of Europe. Their political interests are entirely distinct from ours… They are nations of eternal war.” Our “Founding Fathers” must be turning over in their graves over the Acts being passed and Exec orders signed shredding the Constitution and the lack of appreciation and respect for the blood, sweat and tears they expended to try to ensure this nation is free for the people. The LSM just keep pushing big government candidates. I submit they are all bought and paid for and if Americans elect anyone but Ron Paul then they just like to be conned and we are doomed. Actions speak louder than words so you need to be watching more than listening and if you are watching then you can’t help but see that Dr. Paul is the minority if not the only one in Washington that shares the principles of our “Founding Fathers”, he is the only credible candidate with ethics, values, principles, guts, integrity, consistency, honor; the Lone Ranger standing against tyranny all by himself. And they didn’t count on we dummies who follow him, we really need to grow our numbers and take this country back, it is our last chance.

Patriot Act, NDAA, TSA, PIPA, SOPA…
It’s all done in increments so we don’t realize how much of our rights we’ve given up until it’s too late. Ron Paul is the only one talking about it. The media is on a continual mission to make it seem as though Paul’s not even in the race. He’s a serious threat to the status quo.

@MarciaBacon@PaulSedkowski I am greatly encouraged that The Doctor has outlasted Bachmann, Caine, Huntsman, and Perry. I suspect that there are more than a few out there who are reticent to reveal their support of Dr. Paul. There are many who do not reveal their loyalties or leanings toward anyone for fear of reprisal or ridicule or they are private (no judgement!). Just do what you can. I just signed up as a volunteer in Virginia. I am optimistic that our guy will last. here is more about from what i am talking bout -
One of the first and most well known Western usages of the term surrounded Woodrow Wilson’s Fourteen Points and call for a League of Nations following the devastation of World War I. The phrase was used sparingly at the end of World War II when describing the plans for the United Nations and Bretton Woods system, in part because of the negative association to the failed League of Nations the phrase would have brought. However, many commentators have applied the term retroactively to the order put in place by the WWII victors as a “new world order.”
The most widely discussed application of the phrase of recent times came at the end of the Cold War. Presidents Mikhail Gorbachev and George H. W. Bush used the term to try to define the nature of the post Cold War era, and the spirit of great power cooperation that they hoped might materialize. Gorbachev’s initial formulation was wide ranging and idealistic, but his ability to press for it was severely limited by the internal crisis of the Soviet system. Bush’s vision was, in comparison, much more circumscribed and realistic, perhaps even instrumental at times, and closely linked to the Gulf War.-here is the web link showing it is still going on today. it makes for some very good reading as well.

@DarrenBrinkley The Mormons are so far disconnected from the Masons that it would be as bad to suggest a link with the KoC for relevancy. Unless they are active members and participants than they are a lost cause. Also why is it that every Mason I know has a continual Hate-On for Romney/Gingrich/Santorum…but they all love Ron Paul, simply because he adheres to the Constitution?

I think the fiasco we had late last year with some states moving their primaries up from their scheduled dates is now coming into focus to me , and it isn’t good . The five states ( and their delegate count) that moved up their primaries dates , Arizona (58), Florida (99), Michigan (59), New Hampshire (23) and South Carolina (50) were penalized 50% of their delegates , leaving a combined 139 available delegates instead of the original 289 delegates . Doesn’t it seem a little odd that 3 of the 5 states that moved their scheduled primary dates up are New Hampshire , South Carolina and Florida ? These states just happen to be the next 3 state primaries after the Iowa Caucus .
We all know that the GOP race will end up being Ron Paul and Mitt Romney for the 2012 Republican Nomination . We also know that there are 123 unpledged RNC delegates in this 2012 race . And again , we all know that the GOP does Not want Ron Paul to win the Republican nomination . With the 123 unpledged RNC delegates plus the 139 delegates that were taken away from the 5 states by the GOP , it makes me wonder if the 5 states that moved their scheduled dates forward were ordered to do so by the GOP in a feable attempt to take away delegates from Dr.Paul and in doing so , makes the 123 unpledged RNC delegates more of a deciding factor ?

@DarrenBrinkley@MarciaBacon@BillK It is not a question of guilt. It is a question of constitutionality. It is a question of the injustice perpetrated upon this 16-year-old child. It is a question of the treatment his family (widowed mother) suffered. By the looks of his bedroom (patriotically decorated) and the lack of any evidence in his home, one can only conclude that he was used to set an example to other (alleged) pranksters He deserved punishment if he was indeed guilty, but he was also deserving of habeas corpus. What if it had been your child, or you yourself. Bad example indeed!

@u_go_guys@DarrenBrinkley@MarciaBacon@BillK Guys, you might want to take a look at Liberty Paper’s website…it has a totally different take on this and says the boy was charged under a 70 yr old state law, NOT the Patriot Act.
http://www.thelibertypapers.org/2009/05/08/ashton-lundeby-update-less-than-meets-the-eye/
What I find appalling is that the “widowed” mother apparently knew he was doing this (including taking money to phone in fake bomb threats to other kid’s schools). And before anyone gets riled up, I was a single mom, most of my life, and raised three children so being a single or widowed mom has nothing to do with this kid’s behavior.

@MarciaBacon@BillK True, but the thing that is escaping you and everyone else is,1st off look at the boys age when this happened,if this were you’re son or mine for that matter, from that perspective, it would be appalling , that is if provided you aren’t just like these ELITIST that need a boogie man to set a precedence and or personal AGENDA ,IN HOPES TO SCARE AND EVENTUALLY CONTROL the masses. There are ACTUAL terrorist whom get away with a hell of a lot more than prank calling, where in fact are ACTUALLY PLOTTING WITH EVERY INTENTION,of carrying out these atrocities ,and furthermore HAVE achieved their objectives, with no recourse OR been brought to “justice”. So common sense in this matter is grossly ignored just so someone can be made an example of and somebody’s grandparents can “feel A LITTLE BIT SAFER” because the government is so called “doing their job”That’s why due process should never be ignored if it is indeed an American citizen,if the laws are made to be this cut and dry, just like anything else it WILL be abused and due to some happenstance thing that could occur to you or me at any given time, regardless if we are innocent or not,we don’t have an explanation or rights.I understand he was guilty, but in life, life is stranger than fiction, and IF someone were to frame someone else just to GET THEIR JOLLIES ,do you honestly think they would entertain the idea that you may in fact be innocent????They aren’t going to give a damn who really done it,they just want their damn EXAMPLE.

@texastwin827@u_go_guys@MarciaBacon@BillK Fair enough,I didn’t intend to argue but to merely get my point across that it is an example to be reckoned with but everybody knows it started as a charge under the Patriot act,and if the news media that handled the story was wrong then that’s on them ,but if they were right then this turned out to be just another cover up as not to rile the people whom are registered voters and obviously outraged at the fact.

@pauley13 Yeah, the media nauseates me, they are disgustingly biased, there are no journalists any more, just propagandists, the government owns pretty much all of them, there are only a few out there that will really tell you what’s going on and sometimes at their own risk.

@MarciaBacon Marcia, there’s a lot more to this story. He was NOT arrested under the Patriot Act…but was arrested under a 70 yr old state law. Liberty Paper’s website (back in 2009 when this happened) has a different take on the story.

@texastwin827@MarciaBaconWell according to everyone involved at the time it happened it was PROFESSED on a credible media entity that it WAS indeed the PATRIOT ACT,that to which you refer he was arrested under, is the spin they put on it ,after they got so much HELL over it from the people,if no one would have spoken up it, would have INDEED BEEN the PATRIOT ACT that he was charged with! You need to wake up!!!!!

It is very sad that there will be many young Democrats voting for Ron Paul because of his stand of legalizing marijuana instead of voting for him on important issues like his foreign policy and reducing the size of government and taxation. Big government has done nothing for our country except take it down. Look at how they overstepped the peoples wishes and gave all that bailout money to our financial institutions. Ron Paul is the only Candidate to stand up to the Federal Reserve. I think if the OWS protesters and The Tea Party truly believe in what they originated for they would be voting for Ron Paul. Downsize the power of government, the military, take away the power of big business to manipulate our government and then you can truly gain freedom and our free-enterprises system will work properly as it was intended and we can become a prosperous country instead of the socialist welfare state we are progressing toward.

@bonniewhitsellmfg I don’t care how we get him in there, look at the largest part of the base that got Obama elected, young folks buying into the wrong kind of CHANGE and no Hope, under the false spell and pretenses that the majority of Americans were going to get a free ride ,so it don’t matter as long as Ron Paul wins!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!And regardless of their reasoning whom do you want in there and does it really matter how?

@bonniewhitsellmfg Ron Paul believes the states should be responsible for drug laws, not the Feds. Are you even aware that, currently, the Feds can “take possession and SELL” any property (and they do it) connected with drugs, before you are even convicted?
As an example, if you loan your car to someone, who stashes a bag of marijuana in it and leaves it there and, then you get stopped and they find it, it is YOU who loses your car. It will be sold and the money goes into the DEA’s coffers BEFORE you even go to trial and are convicted. This applies to any property, including homes, etc. It’s a “business” to the DEA and that’s likely why we haven’t even made a major dent in the Drug trade.

Once again, Republican Party elites have pre-determined the nominee. It’s Mitt Romney. Romney has received endorsements from two of the party’s biggest losers: Senator John McCain and former Senator Bob Dole. With friends like those, no wonder the proles are looking elsewhere. So the party has forme…

@u_go_guys Me too, glad you are on board, I’ve been donating as much as I can, but I’m just a small doner, definitely no where near rich by monetary standards and I wear my Ron Paul shirt to work every day, have more coming and a hat, I can do that since I work for myself, but I do see people so they see my Ron Paul stuff.

@MarciaBacon I have been reading comments and making comments on Politico “Paul takes a drubbing” since Tuesday morning. There is, surprisingly, a lot of support being expressed there. I wish you would spread your wisdom and support there.

@MarciaBacon@u_go_guys Marcia, I am like you…but I’m on SS so have a limited funds…but I have donated to Dr Paul and one thing ALL of us need to invest in, is a bumper sticker. The more cars with Ron Paul bumper stickers on it, the more others will believe he DOES have a chance to win!

@u_go_guys It’s people your and my age that need to be enlightened, they are stuck in a mindset that has been taught to them rather than researching and finding real information on what’s been going on. It is mind boggling and if Dr. Paul doesn’t get elected, this country is going to turn into a dictatorship I truly believe, it really already is a financial dictatorship. May take a little while or maybe not, but it’s headed downhill on skids that won’t slow down.

@MarciaBacon@u_go_guys It will either turn into a dictatorship OR there will be another Revolutionary War. What the political “elites” do not realize is that their wars have created a whole new group of seasoned, combat vets who are NOT happy with what is being done to their country. Many are active duty, not just those who have been discharged. All these wars, may end up being their undoing.

@texastwin827@MarciaBacon I have thought of both scenarios. We are now on the cusp of both. That is why the constitution is being so blatantly whittled away…to control the populace. Anyone with a brain can decipher that is why the NDAA was concocted. Preemptive strike. Something our government does best. Think anyone (countries) would come to our defense? I hope we (the populace) have the back bone for it.

@u_go_guys@MarciaBacon ugoguys, while I am old (Vietnam era generation) I have one young daughter who graduated in 2001 before 9/11. Many of her classmates enlisted in the Marines and stayed in, for a long while, doing multiple tours in the Mideast. She attempted to enlist twice, herself, however, her thyroid was removed when she was 17 and, since she would require medication (or would die without it) she was not accepted, either time. So she did what her I recommended…she continued to pursue her psychology degree so she could help those who came back with PTS, after I assured her they would have it and would need help. This lead her to do volunteer work with young veterans, at the VA, and she has heard an earful of what they feel & think, between her friends and those she volunteered to help.
As for back bone…I suspect only 50% of the Americans have it and 50% don’t. While we saw an amazing display of patriotism, after 9/11, that doesn’t mean we would see it if the govt. we were fighting were our own. Too many sheeple and too many who benefit from the very programs that are killing this country.

They have changed this format, I saw your reply on my email but couldn’t find it in here to comment, I went to Politico but didn’t see anything on RP where I could post, but I’m kind of new to this social media stuff, I work too much to be on top of everything, but here is a great piece from a pastor who is For Ron Paul

@DarrenBrinkley Aw hell! I think we’re going to need those ponies before this ends. If RP doesn’t win, better batten down the hatches and get ready, the worst is coming and it doesn’t look pretty. I saw where 3 senators in SC are supporting him, but it so chaps me you won’t hear it on the news, I’ve just quit listening to them totally, just read what I can find on interviews on the internet and go to the news sites that I can vote just to let them know we are out here.

Ron Paul is the only one who speaks the truth and is not afraid to not support Israel because they are able to support themselves. Ron is the only one who does not want another war, look what the last two wars have done to our economy. How can troops on the ground in Iran even be an idea. We the people have to power its time to stop being afraid to say the right thing and stand up for what it right….Ron Paul is the only man who should even be considered as President.

Israel has nuclear weapons. North Korea has nuclear weapons as does India and Pakistan – but what they do NOT export is O I L !
Ron Paul said concerning the terrorist attacks of 9/11: “took place only because of U.S. aggression and military actions”. That is a true statement. Bin Laden was incensed that American troops were stationed in Saudi Arabia (seen as a historic betrayal by many Islamists). Our foreign enemies are more cognizant of history than most Americans.
America developed from:
the theft of the land from, and persecution of, the Natives
kidnapping, enslavement, persecution and segregation of Negroes
absconding Southwest lands (TX, AR, NM, CA) from Mexico
During WWII, Japanese-Americans (not German-Americans or Italian-Americans) were forced into internment camps. The U.S. occupies foreign lands (empire-building). Recently, a new military base in Australia marks change in US military strategy away from Europe, and towards a new threat: Asia. The Arabs have something that the U.S. wants: OIL! Any wonder they fear and attack us!

All you Ron Paul supporters who have republican friends that are buying into lie that Ron Paul’s foreign policy is dangerous, tell them to google al qaeda attacks switzerland and see what they find. The websites will read “why doesn’t al qaeda attack switzerland. they are the only country that i know of that has a non intervention policy. they haven’t been involved in a war since 1815 and al qaeda doesn’t attack them. They are also the wealthiest country in the world and the #1 country for economic freedom.

Thank all of you (except the one that called me an Idiot; not helpful). MarciaBacon, I love your passion and intellect. I am pledged to vote for Ron Paul in the VA republican primary. My family, friends and acquaintances hate me now because I am often deluging them with pol talk. I live in a strictly republican district (although I have been a life-long dem) so I am sure that my neighbors will be proud to see me. In VA one must not be a registered republican to vote in the primary.
My goal is NOT to discourage or detract, but to emphasize obstacles (in my opinion).
The battle is to make the good doctor the republican candidate.
The next battle is to actually win the war.
By the way, MarciaBacon, I do not agree with you…I believe their is a baby in the bath water.

@u_go_guys Thank you, I am very passionate about this, it’s scary. OK, there’s a baby in the water and it’s almost dead, Dr. Paul wants to drain the water and nurse the baby to health for the ones that have it, the ones that don’t have it never will and if he doesn’t get elected the ones that do, will lose it. Is that a little better analogy? LOL, was just trying to get through to people who seem to be negative.

@u_go_guys It’s not for myself that I am so passionate about this, there are 2 more generations I’m leaving behind so far and what I see coming is absolutely not what I had in mind for them. You don’t have to be a prophet to see what’s coming, you just have to be an ostrich not to. ”Politics” is the illusion of service, that cloaks the corruption of power. I took this from a friends site, I don’t know who originally said it, but it is too true. Big government is never the answer, we are working on an empire now and this is not good. I have chapped a few people and think lost a friend or 2 because of my passion about this.
