It’s Official: Ron Paul Is Running for President!
He Can Win The Republican Nomination And Beat Obama in 2012
From CNN’s Political Ticker:
Who does best against Obama? [Ron] Paul. The congressman from Texas, who also ran as a libertarian candidate for president in 1988 and who is well liked by many in the tea party movement, trails the president by only seven points (52 to 45 percent) in a hypothetical general election showdown. Huckabee trails by eight points, with Romney down 11 points to Obama. The poll indicates the president leading Gingrich by 17 points, Palin by 19, and Trump by 22 points. More…
As early as last year, Ron Paul would have gained 41% of the vote compared to Obama’s 42% – statistical dead heat. Among independents, Paul had an astonishing 47% to 28% edge over the president.
Ron Paul Can Win In 2012! But Will He Actually Run?
YES! On May 13, 2011, Ron Paul officially announced his candidacy for the Republican nomination.

Countering the Mainstream Media’s Bias Against Ron Paul
Now that Ron Paul is actively campaigning and his support is increasing exponentially, the mainstream media will continue to ignore or downplay his growing appeal. The media is part of the military-industrial complex and they stand to lose their corporate welfare checks when Ron Paul becomes President! We need to work even harder at getting the message out at the grassroots level! Tell 5+ people about Ron Paul today… and tomorrow… and every day!
Ron Paul can win… Ron Paul must win… Ron Paul will win! Please do everything you can to help us spread the message and reach our goal! Thanks for your support!

I’ll be moving out of the country at the end of this year if Ron Paul doesn’t win the election. I don’t want to be around when the shit storm rolls in. Voting for anybody else is simply giving away your right to freedom. Good luck with that.

I am totally disillusioned by almost everyone in Washington. I am seeing my rights taken one by one, and it is horrifying. Why were teenagers peppersprayed and arrested for peaceful demonstrations? Why were bystanders arrested for taking pictures of the police doing this? Why or better yet, how did a law pass where american citizens can be held by the military without being charged, and potentionaly executed!!!!???? Did I read that correctly?? Is this the america I love so much and used to be so proud to be part of???? Now we wish to drug test all welfare recipients, but not everyone else taking goverment money of course, namely the people making these laws, and the government would also like to control what I can and can not see on the internet!!!??? Doesn’t this scare anyone else?? What happened to a goverment by the people, and for the people???? I believe Ron Paul is the only person running that actually cares about the country, the people, and the constitution. Please people get your head out of the dirt, think about what is going on, and if you do not have the nerve to stand up and ask for explanations on your on, do it for your children before it is too late, and you have no right to speak at all.

Politicians talk about wanting to fix the broken economy in America.
I believe that:
1. Our biggest threat right now is within our borders.
2. Our JOBS are being taken by foreign nationals and illegals. These people are driving down the American middle class standard of living.
3. Most of them will work for less pay than their american counterpart. A lot of companies will use them because the penalty of getting caught employing illegals is a slap on the hand.
Since Obama became President of this country we have seen his “change”. The change Obama was talking about is Socialism.
Ron Paul is the only hope.
These are desparate times.

I’m a recently defected democrat. Obama has proven himself to be more of a mascot with his lines fed to him via teleprompter, a witty script written by the lobbyists. I support, and accept Ron Paul’s views, and only hope this isn’t some extravagant plot to use some sort of extremist, edgy politician, who feeds us another invention of organizations that be.
I don’t wish to instill doubt in Ron Paul, just state that we must choose from limited options, and make a hard decision in a market filled with corruption. With his victory, he will have to take action immediately to cure the illnesses of this poisoned country, or face opposition from scorned supporters. Supporters who have been fooled once more.
I know he has a history of standing against current and sitting by himself at the lunch-table of politics. I respect his virtue, and honesty.
I will support him, in hopes that in my lifetime, a man will prove that he can be true to his word.
Good luck.
Also if anyone has a thought on what I’ve posted please enlighten me. I won’t respond to children.

From http://www.crossroad.to/Quotes/communism/alinsky.htm
“Obama learned his lesson well. I am proud to see that my father’s model for organizing is being applied successfully beyond local community organizing to affect the Democratic campaign in 2008. It is a fine tribute to Saul Alinsky as we approach his 100th birthday.” –Letter from L. DAVID ALINSKY, son of Neo-Marxist Saul Alinsky
Obama helped fund ‘Alinsky Academy’: “The Woods Fund, a nonprofit on which Obama served as paid director from 1999 to December 2002, provided startup funding and later capital to the Midwest Academy…. Obama sat on the Woods Fund board alongside William Ayers, founder of the Weather Underground domestic terrorist organization…. ‘Midwest describes itself as ‘one of the nation’s oldest and best-known schools for community organizations, citizen organizations and individuals committed to progressive social change.’… Midwest teaches Alinsky tactics of community organizing.”
Hillary, Obama and the Cult of Alinsky: “True revolutionaries do not flaunt their radicalism, Alinsky taught. They cut their hair, put on suits and infiltrate the system from within. Alinsky viewed revolution as a slow, patient process. The trick was to penetrate existing institutions such as churches, unions and political parties…. Many leftists view Hillary as a sell-out because she claims to hold moderate views on some issues. However, Hillary is simply following Alinsky’s counsel to do and say whatever it takes to gain power.
“Obama is also an Alinskyite…. Obama spent years teaching workshops on the Alinsky method. In 1985 he began a four-year stint as a community organizer in Chicago, working for an Alinskyite group called the Developing Communities Project…. Camouflage is key to Alinsky-style organizing. While trying to build coalitions of black churches in Chicago, Obama caught flak for not attending church himself. He became an instant churchgoer.” (By Richard Poe, 11-27-07)

Atheism doesn’t mean you won’t be biased towards a religion.. That’s a terrible generalization. The things that matters are rational thought and solutions as well as strong morals and values, and honesty. Although Christianity has been a strong label on the previous presidents. Ron isn’t going to resort to tricks or silly slogans, because that is not who he is or what he stands for. He’s probably the most incorruptible politician that we have right now, or at least that I have seen. The big problem is that the media does not give him air-time, and when they do, most of what he says is given a negative slant. It’s a good thing we have satire shows like the daily show and the Colbert report, otherwise people wouldn’t have a chance in realizing falsities. Hopefully there will be enough people fighting for critical thinking and true common sense. Maybe we will actually change things on a universal level. One can only promote.

MarlonBrown you are correct when you say ‘ He can’t go around giving these answers in highly controversial topics like “America is partially to be blamed for 911″, “end the FED”, “end the Department of Education” without scaring the average voter in the process.’ Change is easier to envision or talk about, than it is to accept, for many people, ( I know I should stop -smoking, overeating, drinking too much, spending more than I have etc. – I can clearly see where it’s taking me..) there just seems to be some kind of comfort in staying in that sinking boat that one is so ‘used to’. Yet we are here, talking. Do we want him to lie just a little to enlist more voters? Movement in society is a slow process often. Ron Paul is appealing mainly to those who can and will think clearly and logically. Find ways to enlist enough of this segment, and the dream will become reality.

It is not just the banker thieves
It has to do with oil companies & pharmaceuticals also
If you think about it 10yrs ago gas was .99 a gallon. Not long ago the 1 oil company had a major spill costing them billions.
Yet that oil company made a larger profit then they have ever made.
Where is the logic in this. Rip off the people to line there pockets & give the government free gas & oil. so they could get away with everything.
Governors, president etc. should not be receiving income & medical for the rest of there life after there term.
they get paid for the rest of there life & have the best medical for ruining this country.
I am scared to say much online anymore with this sopa & the new laws.
Something has to be done to fix this country.
Every other country in the world is more free then we are.
Don’t bother saying it’s not if you have never been elsewhere and lived.
everyone needs to wake up.
Stop believing news & press
stop believing political lies.
dont trust the government until they fix everything they destroyed.

c@democracygone The “write in” option won’t solve or lead us to a path to get the leader we need elected ever. For those of us who support Ron Paul, we should write more to him to let him deliver more intelligent answers when asked about his foreign policy and few other positions. Too late now though. Again, it is not that his positions are radical, it is the way he conveys the message to the average voter is simply unacceptable. He falls on that trap all the time. I am a successful foreigner professional, voting for the first time. Even my 10 year old knows that America interventionism abroad and the style in which America has intervened triggers negative sentiment towards us. However, the average American voter are not prepared to listen this at the moment. especially when you have the media owned by special interest groups against you. So as a politician, you need to strategically choose your words and how you send this message. Otherwise you lose it. Millions have been donated to Ron Paul campaign and lot of time from many of us. We should not be aiming at “write in” or simply be in this race to send the message of freedom.

MarlonBrown you have a very valid point – I would also like to see Ron Paul as President. Ron’s honesty, sincererity, directness, in -corruptability is very rare in politics and the electorate are not familiar with this style of political rhetorick, as such can be interpreted as ‘rebellious to a degree’ – ya lot of the electorate dont like to be told the real truth in such a direct way, even though Ron does it in a mild mannered and polite way. I believe Ron needs to change his style to a more ascertive position of authority/dominance over his competitors in debates and adopt a more aggressive vocal position of presentation/condemnation as and when needs require – he has very much more knowledge across the spectrum of topics than his competitors which as such underpins his credibility. I respectfully suggest that Ron’s campaign team should recruit you on to their campaign management team.

I would vote Ron Paul. That said, as I have been saying few times on this website, it is unfortunate that Ron Paul has a flaw that is his likely fatal downfall: he does not adapt. Good thing he is not a politician, but he is in politics. He can’t go around giving these answers in highly controversial topics like “America is partially to be blamed for 911″, “end the FED”, “end the Department of Education” without scaring the average voter in the process. The media catches him all the time on that. The media knows if controversial topics are asked, he keeps falling on the trap and answering those questions in a way it hurts himself for the average voter. If Ron Paul chose his words more carefully, he could win this nomination. Then once he is in power, implement whatever is feasible. There are ways more or less sensible ways to put a message out there and still be truthful about it. Ron Paul fails to express his views on these debates and that his own fault. I wrote this before as a way to convey this message to him and his campaign, but all I get are fairly standard answers to my post. Santorum has not chances, he is Bush II. Newt is a disaster, if ever gets nomination simply would lose to Obama. Romney may have a little bit more chances, but it is Obama II to me.

Harris Hassan – I am from the UK and I completely agree with you, I am sure that their are many people across the world that feel like you, I just hope that enough americans come to this view in time to elect Ron Paul as President – otherwise as you say reinstate ‘its past glory and improve its image in the world’, I would further add that many of us outside of the US see the US on the edge of economic collapse and demise into a total tyranny – I sincerely hope that I am wrong but without Ron Paul the status quo of US ‘Establishment’ control of the US and its people will continue its roll towards tyranny.

I find the policies and views of Ron Paul extremely logical and in the best interest of both United States and the rest of the world. It is really distressing to see that he is not getting that amount of support from the American people. Ron Paul is dead right on every issue he speaks on. Not going to lie… I had given up on politics I kept hearing the same thing over and over again empty promises, as if watching these people campaign I began to wonder who the better liar was. In the Military I had a simple policy vote Republican because they take better care of us than the Democrats, it wasn’t until a few weeks ago that one of my coworkers told me I needed to start taking it serious again that there truly was someone out there that I need to listen too. At first I blew him off but watching the South Carolina caucus I finally saw it, and after researching Dr Ron Paul I finally understood.
For the first time in almost twenty years I have been voting I want my vote to count, I want this country to become the great nation I know it can be, I want Dr Ron Paul as MY Commander in Chief.

frustrating as hell with people not willing to think critically or to risk anything.
Not to mention that some billionaire can sit down and write a check to advance his agenda for an amount that it’s a struggle for thousands of
us to match. But not doing anything is a formula for disaster and sometimes high-risk strategies are the only ones with any chance of success.
Anyway, how the campaign has gone down so far is not way off track by any means. In this interview, Doug Wead explains about the strategy:
