by Ron Paul
Whenever the federal government decides to reform something we can be fairly sure that the problem is about to get worse, especially if they call the plan bi-partisan. The bi-partisan immigration reform proposal launched last week in the US Senate will be no different.
The new plan, introduced by Sens. McCain and Schumer, would provide a path to citizenship for many of those in the United States illegally. This would only begin after the borders are deemed secure and applicants have paid fees for their illegal entry. They must also pay back taxes on their earnings while working here without government permission. Those on a path to citizenship would be subject to background checks and would be monitored while in the US.
The devil is in the details, and the details of the McCain plan are deeply disturbing. To secure the borders he is calling for a massive increase in drones flying over US territory, spying on US citizens along the border – and presumably within the 100 mile “border zone” over which Department of Homeland Security claims jurisdiction. What if these drones detect suspicious activity unrelated to illegal immigration? Imagine the implications for the federal government’s disastrous war on drugs. Imagine what’s left of the Fourth Amendment completely tossed into the trashcan. The “privatized” prison system in the US that now benefits from the war on drugs and illegal immigration will no doubt look forward to booming business thanks to the army of drones overhead.
Additionally, the McCain/Schumer plan calls for a nationwide, mandatory E-Verify program, which forces employers to act as federal immigration agents, and forces American citizens to prove to the government that they are allowed to work. E-Verify is an East Germany-like program that creates a massive federal database of every American citizen and notes whether or not they are permitted to work.
As Cato Institute privacy expert Jim Harper noted of e-Verify, potentially tens of thousands of American citizens would come up as a false positive for illegal status, denying them the right to work and forcing them to prove to the government that they are not here illegally. He writes, “If E-Verify goes national, get used to hearing that Orwellian term: ‘non-confirmation.’”
Harper rightly notes that E-Verify is in fact a national ID card, writing last week that, “the system must biometrically identify everyone who works—you, me, and every working American you know. There is no way to do internal enforcement of immigration law without a biometric national identity system.”
Much of the most recent immigration problem of the 2000s was actually created by the federal government. The easy money policy of the Federal Reserve blew up the housing bubble and created enormous demand for labor. This artificial demand was filled largely by workers who crossed into the US illegally. Within a year of the housing market crash in 2008, an estimated one million illegal workers left the United States for Mexico and beyond. Net illegal immigration into the United States last year had fallen to zero.
As I noted in my most recent book, Liberty Defined, much of our immigration problems would be eliminated were the federal government to simply return to sound money practices and end the welfare incentive for individuals to come to the US illegally. Afterward, what remains of the problem would mostly be solved with a far more generous and flexible guest worker program. Whatever the case, turning the US into a police state in order to fight a hyped up illegal immigration “crisis” is a bad deal for us all.

If a person serves in the military they have a record. You said he, “doesnt have a record in the military”. Not much room for misinterpretation there. Perhaps you should have chosen your words better, eh? The fact is that you don’t know what he did or didn’t do in the military any more than I do. So your claim that he served with anything less than complete honor is baseless. Did he win medals? No. But that doesn’t mean that what he did was unimportant does it? Give it a rest. You don’t care.

you can`t stop immigration it is a money pit ,what you can do is you can go after your own people who are benefiting of these people but that would mean you have to arrest american “I just wanted to help these poor people that is why I paid $6/hour to them for a job what you would of done for $25″ people who with this system killed the middle class because you become poor losing more and more jobs while he saved money and become richer so stop hiring them and save the money on stupid things

I don’t recall seeing Paul on the primaries here in Washington state either and we have many many military bases. And your claim that Paul never served in the military is a lie. And you Sir have just shown the rest of the cards in your hand. You obviously don’t care about the truth regarding him. Your mind is made up. Too bad.

I’m glad you read some propaganda somewhere but what actually occurred was when ronpaul.com was purchased it set up an arbitration agreement that would be in place if it was to ever be sold. It made it so that if there was ever a disagreement (such as over the market value of the website) the contesting party would have to file with an outside arbitrator. This arbitrator just so happens to be affiliated with the UN. Ron Paul had no other choice if he wanted to negotiate with ronpaul.com.

I think the title contradicts itself. Any situation in which immigration is “illegal” in the strict meaning of the term “illegal” is a police state by definition. Immigration restriction doesn’t do anything except appeal to people’s idiotic sense of Patriotism and restrict the division of labor.

The white patriot Mike Delaney of Prothink has set up an awesome new alternative to JudenTube that functions exactly the same way without the Kosher filter – Check out Trutube dot TV.
Remember : The New World order is nothing more than international, aggressive Jewish supremacism, The Holocaust is a FRAUD, Jews did 9/11, and White people are intentionally being genocided by ZOG international.

Yes I know but what I’m saying is even if there were no government, if we lived in a total “free market” Ron Paul would use coercion to “defend” his property “rights”. The rabbit hole is even deeper than you’re perceiving. The “free market” ideology is bankrupt. A “free market” without coercion cannot exist- this is my point. When people want to profit they will use any means necessary, as Ron Paul just did.

wRong Paul filed a complaint with the UN, simple as that! Instead of engaging the other party in a free market transaction, he decided to go the UN and complain! He complained and asked them to help him get control of the website! What happened to the Free Market principles? He forgot about that and simply decided to get the UN Government to help him get things done his way! HYPOCRISY At its finest!!

Because that’s the way capitalism works, “free market” or not. if there were no public government bodies Ron Paul would hire a private agency to enforce his property “rights” via coercion. This is the whole point, “free market” capitalism is a myth, it cannot exist as property rights depend on coercion. Note: please understand the difference between property and possession. Market based private property needs a coercive state body in order to exist. I’ve been hounding this point home for years.

Of course he shit on his principles you dope, isn’t wRong Paul against the US being part of the UN? Didn’t wRong Paul say that he was against the UN policing the world? Isn’t he for free market capitalism? Then why does he want to use the UN for his own benefit?

He didn’t shit on his principles he’s showing what people do in the name of profit/money which meas “principles” and “free market” capitalism don’t mix. If the capitalist state didn’t exist what sort of force do you think he would use to “defend” his property “rights”? It would be much worse than a UN court I can tell you that. And oh ya, the UN! Ha ha. I thought they were “communists”? This is the best day of 2013 for me thus far. “Free market” my ass. Capitalism is based on coercion. Accept it

go to the state websites and pull up a map of how their states voted in the primaries. Its not that hard to find. You are just looking for some way to deny the basic fact that the military doesnt support Ron Paul.

go pull up a map of who won each country by candidate, then look up what counties the military bases are in and you will realize none of them went for Ron Paul.

French Canadian, I also posted it on the latest topic site.http://www.youtube.com/user/BenSwannRealityCheck If you have more info., you can post it on the new topic site. What I did want to say is now Dr. Garrow will be watched. You probably know he lives in Canada. What we think will make the difference is those military brass who say they will disobey the oath they took, but do the right thing. If they are honest, then they are out. Their oath was broken when they asked them to undermine the Constitution. I am counting on those Oathkeepers who are keeping a low profile until the time is right for them to come out in the open.

Ron Paul doesnt have a record in the military which is why you havent seen it. If he did, it would be on the front page of every Ron Paul cultist website. Ron Paul didnt do anything in the military.
Go look up the primaries when Ron Paul was on the ballot, he still couldnt take the counties where military bases are located. But that still doesnt stop the Ron Paul propaganda machine from pushing the lie that the military supports him. The military does not support Ron Paul.

There are a couple of pictures of him in uniform and links providing places you personally can find out his service record, instead of making up lies and offering them as truths.

Part 1 of 2… Hold on there. Go back and re-read exactly what I wrote. My question above was not the first time I asked it in these comments so I am not inserting a new idea here to “move the goal posts”. And I never said he was a hero or that he saved even one life during Vietnam. I don’t know what he did beyond being a Flight Surgeon during the Vietnam years. Have you seen his military record to back up your saying that he skated through his service??? Doubt it. That’s the point.
