He has stated on record numerous times that he is not a zionist but just feels that Israel is capable of taking care of themselves. Especially since Iran is unable to prove themselves a serious threat without an adequate air force and No nuclear weapons. His stance on Israel reflects his foreign policy, bottom line.

There is nothing wrong with pointing out that a country as adequate as Israel is able to handle itself. If suggesting that fact labels someone as a “Zionist”, then I think that the definition of that word needs to be reassessed.
