This doesn’t make a lot of sense to me. I really like Ron Paul’s ideas but I believe that many of them would lead to us being less of the world super power. We would play less of a role in the foreign affairs of others (much less). Our taxes would be much lower and the department of defense would probably lose much funding. We may be a bit less of an intimidating foe abroad but would certainly continue to defend our home land. I for one am OK with this. Being the world super power sure is expensive. I’d rather just know that we have a great nation because we are free, happy, not corrupt, etc. Others would looks at us with envy for what we have, but we may not be a superpower anymore.
