As we the people; our heritage and historical documents are ours. I believe as such, they should be openly accessable, readable, thematically complete and well maintained.
Much is made of the “original, but repaired, US Constitution” in the US capital building. However I don’t accept that one document as being complete for us of and for Liberty.
I wish as a minimum to meet thematic completeness that the US Declaration of Independence, which I hear is in need of maintenance, and the Articles of Confederation, which successfully got us through our own Revolutionary War, the physical status of which is unknown to me, all be by Act of Congress restored, safeguarded, as necessary, well maintained and co-located in the Capital building as our primary founding charters.
As lesser, but still important to me, requirements regarding these documents, I wish that each and all use of these documents be certified as complete and correct, including all capitalization of words, any modern translation (attempts), and all format structures as they are in the originals when referenced. Any other form must be declared as not being true to the originals.
Similarly, I object to and wish the practice of “clausal analysis and commentary” on these Documents be curtailed. I find the main enemy of Liberty begins is these clausal abstracted arguments and I wish them limited or better yet, terminated.
I believe the ad hoc naming of the first paragraph of our Constitution to be one such distortion. It has no name and those who try to name it “Preamble” also minimize it as an introductory circumlocution and not as a full statement of requirements that all which follows must meet. And I find true meaning in the capitalizations that are important to Liberty’s end which many modernists delete as irrelevant.
I urgently request a Congressional act to meet these my needs; and I can think of no one I would be more honored to have lead it than our Ron Paul.
Sincerely—Thor’s Hammer

I was wondering if you ever considered changing the layout of your blog? Its very well written; I love what youve got to say. But maybe you could a little more in the way of content so people could connect with it better. Youve got an awful lot of text for only having one or two images. Maybe you could space it out better?

Dustin,
You should check and make sure write in votes are counted in your state. Many don’t count them due to ‘sore loser’ laws…. Vote for Gary Johnson and all your libertarian candidates, Ron has said if you can’t vote for him you should vote for Johnson (Libertarians) b/c they support many of RP’s proposals.
