Henry Ford once said, “It is well that the people of the nation do not understand our banking and monetary system, for if they did, I believe there would be a revolution before tomorrow morning.”
Are you confused by all the talk about monetary policy, fiat money and inflation? You’re not alone. Bankers and politicians have worked hand in hand for many decades to obscure their activities from the public. They hide behind elaborate structures designed to inflate the money supply while creating the false impression that they are looking out for our best interests.
Inflation is a very simple concept to understand: More money = less value. It may seem contradictory but it’s very straightforward.
For illustration purposes, join me on a brief journey of the imagination. One beautiful morning, you wake up and realize that you own twice as much cash as you had just last night. Magic money elves entered your home and bank account and simply doubled your entire cash assets. You’re now twice as wealthy (or half as poor as the case may be).
But you soon realize that the same thing happened to everyone else in the country. The money supply (total amount of money) has doubled! It’s just a one-time event and your regular income remains the same… you just got lucky this one time. It’s okay to dream, so stay with me.
What happens next? If you’re like most people, you probably start spending. You buy things you always wanted to buy but couldn’t afford. You pay back some debts. You buy stocks. In other words, you put the new money into circulation. So do most other people in the country.
Demand for many products increases because a lot more people can afford them now. Consumers are buying so much stuff that some shortages occur. To protect themselves against these shortages, shops and businesses decide to increase their prices. They know that once prices go up, fewer people will be competing to buy the same products, and the situation will be back to normal.
As a side effect of these higher prices, shop owners start earning higher profits than usual. They have more money in their bank accounts, which allows them to increase their spending. They will invest in new stock or expand their business. They might pay out dividends to their investors and bonuses to their employees, allowing these people to buy more products as well. This additional demand puts even more pressure on other shops to increase their prices.
A few months later, prices of almost everything have gone up. Suppliers and manufacturers are faced with the same threat of too much sudden demand from their clients so they too decide to start charging more.
You went on a one-time buying spree and look what happened! Your income stayed the same, but after a few weeks you can suddenly no longer afford the products you used to buy all the time because all prices in the economy have gone up.
Naturally, you demand a higher salary from your employer. If you’re self-employed or in business, you have to charge your customers more money just so that you can maintain your standard of living. Everyone else is in the same situation. Higher prices keep spreading throughout the entire economy, and it’s getting more and more difficult to make a living.
Can you see how this lucky one-time incident which at first seemed so exciting was extremely harmful not just for you but for the entire country? You briefly had a good time but now you’re worse off than before. In our story there are now twice as many dollars in circulation, but your income remains the same and each dollar you earn is worth only about half as much as it used to be. You’re really hoping for those money elves to come back.
As a matter of fact, some people, companies and banks have managed to develop an inside connection to the “money elves”, allowing them to receive new money into their bank accounts whenever they want to. The money is officially a loan (credit), but they know they never have to pay it back… they just “roll it over”, i.e. take up even more debt. With all that easy money in their accounts, and after hearing on TV that stocks only go up and that real estate prices will continue to rise forever, they tend to get a bit lightheaded and start making bad investment decisions. They know that if anything happens to their investments they will be bailed out by the government, so they do not hesitate to take huge risks with their new found “wealth”.
Let’s stop dreaming and look at the reality of things. What if I told you that these “money elves” do exist and that they spring into action not just once in a lifetime, but every couple of weeks? And that they repeatedly give money to their closest friends, but not to you? That prices are going up because the total amount of money in circulation increases, but that you’re missing out on all the fun?
Well, that’s inflation at work. Who benefits from inflation? Only those who are at the top of the pyramid and receive all that new money directly from the source. As you might have guessed by now, the source is the Federal Reserve, and its recipients include the government which “borrows” a lot of new money each year, without any intention of ever paying it back. Another beneficiary these days are failed banks that are being “bailed out” for the good of the “economy”, or defense contractors that receive money to build up our military so we can have a constant presence all over the world and fight never-ending and unnecessary wars. There was even a huge number of small-time beneficiaries who received consumer loans and sub-prime mortgages they would never be able to pay back.
What, then, is fiat money? It’s exactly what we just talked about: money that can be inflated or increased at the push of a button at the say-so of a powerful person or organization. Nowadays most dollars are just blimps on a computer screen and it’s extremely easy for the Federal Reserve to create money out of thin air whenever they want to.
If our money were backed by gold and silver, people couldn’t just sit in some fancy building and push a button to create new money. They would have to engage in honest trade with another party that already has some gold in their possession. Alternatively, they would have to risk their lives and assets to find a suitable spot to build a gold mine, then get dirty and sweaty and actually dig up the gold. Not something I can imagine our “money elves” at the Fed getting down to whenever they feel like playing God with the economy.
As you can see, inflation and fiat money are very seductive and beneficial to those at the top, and very dangerous to everyone else and the nation as a whole. That’s exactly what Henry Ford was talking about. He knew that every country that relies too much on fiat money is ruined sooner rather than later.
There is only one possible solution to the inflation problem: Stop creating money out of thin air. But we’re already in such a mess that the only way to have a real impact on the money supply is to increase interest rates so that people pay back their loans and borrow less money from the banks, which decreases the amount of money in circulation. However, higher interest rates might very well crash the economy. So the Fed’s current “solution” to overcoming inflation is… creating even more of it.
Fiat money is a dangerous addiction. Even if the Fed found a way to stop inflation, as long as the current system persists the temptation will always be there to resume pushing the easy money button. That’s why we need to get back on the gold standard and eliminate the Federal Reserve altogether.
But that won’t happen “before tomorrow morning”, as Henry Ford said, or even this year. Ron Paul believes that the first step towards monetary freedom is to allow open competition in currencies. Once gold and silver are allowed as legal tender and can be sold without sales tax, everyone can use them to store their wealth and to pay for the things they want to buy. The Federal Reserve will finally have a very compelling motivation to stay honest and maintain the value of the dollar because if they don’t, they will simply lose all their customers.

Hi Christine,
It seems like more and more people are waking up everyday and we are going somewhere with this. I agree with you that we must have a spiritual perspective on all of this and that we must do it for the right reasons. Most if not all of us on this forum at least in agreement that our monetary system is in need of reform. I realize that not all of us are possibly motivated by the same reasons. That’s fine as long as our collective action could produce the expected result. I see our problem more in how to accomplish our goal. When it comes to the nuts and bolts of how we do it, I sense confusion and obliviousness.
The FED’s scheme has been a tight grip that is like dealing with a collection agency. If you become a debtor for a collection agency regardless of whether the debt is legitimate, what do you do to get the collection off your back? If they garnish your assets and wages, what else you could do?
As long as we have the IRS in place and the courts and the law enforcement agencies which function as the front proxies of the FED’s, we are in big trouble. Tax revolt? That is a great idea, but how could an employed do it when the taxes are deducted from her paychecks before she could cash her check? Barter system? Another great idea, but how could you gather enough crowd to participate and how could you develop local farming communities, let alone other goods and services needed, and coordinate the consumers and the producers together? Living in the wood on the outskirts of the suburbs? You first need a land, know how to develop it and generate your own basic needs from food, water, energy, and adequate living conditions, not to mention educational and social needs of your children. I get really depressed when I try to break matters down and think of details. Over a very long period of time, we have been conditioned to rely on this corrupt system to provide for all our needs. Now we are suddenly waking up and realizing that we have been all along trapped and the trap is much secured, so we panic. I am not here claiming that I have the answer, nor could I see anyone else has a comprehensive answer. We should move on to the next stage of discussion and develop a model of living that is independent of this corrupt system. It is time that we talk about how to do it rather than what is it that we need to do. With a scratch of a pen from our bureaucrats, it will not happen unless a very violent revolution breaks out and with all that I know, which is very limited, I know the elite is ready to strike back violently. Over 1300 federal facilities have been developed around the nation with a capacity to process 25,000 individuals every day in preparation of any revolt. The new project also works as a great business venture for the predatory corporate and private elite. I agree with you that a peaceful movement is the answer, but how could you avoid confrontation under these conditions? Going through the channels for change is the biggest lie of our democracy simply because the party you ask to help you out is the same one you are complaining of. If we did not have corrupt Congress, corrupt law enforcement agencies, corrupt politicians, the FED’s would have never gotten their way in the first place. So our battle is against the whole establishment. We need the help of everybody and the help of God first to let us pass through this. I believe in the miracle of great intent but I don’t believe that absent a good plan and enough people to change things that great intentions alone do it. This is a philosophical debate which is another subject, but what’s relevant now is how we can do our best in developing and executing a plan to combat this madness. I like to see participants on this forum move in this direction of discussion and get a little bit more pragmatic.

Amen Christine! That’s why I am learning to lean towards nature everyday and enjoy its beauty, generosity, and infiniteness. I do not even care for the gold and I think it is one of the most stupid things man ever taken as a measure of wealth, but for the time being and relevant to our drama, as a preliminary step, we are better off with the gold standard than treasury notes that throw insults at all of us everyday. The true wealth is humanity itself armed with the forces of nature. How stupid that we have forgotten how to cultivate our lands, to use the free clean abundant solar energy that never seizes to give? How stupid that we have forgotten how to harvest the holy rain fall and use it for our full enjoyment? Sometimes I think that is just the curse we deserved when we abandoned our humanity.

No one can take it with them, it all goes “back into the box”, but we owe it to our grand children to clean up the counterfeiting and grand theft of our futures.

I’m a strong advocate for a money-less world. No need for it. It is designed to create scarcity when it justifies their needs. Just pieces of paper and a mechanism to control others, as was intended. Intrudes upon every human interaction where it is not needed…none. With money, they create haves and have nots, genocide, and all the ills of the world, take what is not theirs by covert means, people do things for profit rather than genuine thoughtfulness in the use of resources and true need, etc.
Every time they talk of an issue in the congressional hearings, they end up diverting the conversation to money. SICK… OF… IT. Never solve anything, politicians, lawyers just don’t solve anything. It’s not in their makeup. If they solved all the problems, what would lawyers do? As far as I can tell, they are the cause of the corruption running rampant, backroom deals even back to the Act of 1871, the creation of D.C. and their 10 mile radius…just what we didn’t want or need even to this day. To talk about money suits these folks just fine because that’s a subject they can talk about that requires no compassion, and they don’t have to care…psychopaths just don’t anyway. It’s not in their nature. Don’t believe we can square away a broken system using the broken system to do it. Too many corrupt individuals involved that get in the way and threaten others or kill them. One flight on AirForce 1 changed Kucinich’s mind, vote tips in the wrong direction on healthcare, he denounces all of his former beliefs in a day’s time…and I’m sure it goes on and on like that through the bunch of them in D.C. We need to sidestep the system in place and develop an entirely new one based on what matters…and it ain’t money….it’s us, it’s the planet, it all life on the planet. There would be more people working if we had a money-less system. Lots of roads to fix, good to grow, increase in manufacturing, etc. WE need to develop social change designed by WE THE PEOPLE….and practice non-violent, non-compliance with what is to create what will be the change we’d like to see in this world. We are creative beings, intelligent. In the congressional hearings, ever notice that they call in “experts” who actually know something. Why do we have “leaders” passing laws who know nothing about the topics…who rely on experts (we the people) informing them with long drawn out discussions, paying them all the while, rather than having those who actually know something be the very ones who make the decisions on how things go for WE THE PEOPLE? Sounds like we are wasting alot of money on unintelligent folks, eh?…that are nothing more than thorns in our side. It’s absolutely insane and criminal what is going on over the entire planet. Our government is a front for a criminal organization against life on this planet. Ever notice? We haven’t had a real American government for a very long time.
Here’s an interesting tidbit. In my work I call customer service located in Costa Rica. In the conversation the guy tells me that it’s too bad about Americans, that they let the drug lords run the country. That’s their impression of America!! Big Pharma…wars…poppies in Afghanistan, Mexican border, illegal drugs running through the CIA, etc. I think foreigner’s impression of America is quite different than what our propaganda news tells us it is. So much is happening with the housing theft, foreclosures, joblessness, Americans no longer believe it either. We’re living with the lies and STILL call the perpetrators of our abuse our leaders!! Politicians have lied so much, they are not the answer…we are!!

Well said Christina. H.G Wells in his Outline of History, the Rise of Christianity attempted to draw a picture for Christ one that may seem unfamiliar. He described Christ as penniless, homeless rebel who preached the Kingdom of Heaven at a time when the Kingdom of Harod represented materialism and government oppression. H.G. Wells gave a meaning for what the Kingdom of Heaven was: it the was the Kingdom of Humanity. The essence of any divine religion for those who especially religiously inclined is a struggle between materialism and humanity. It is a simple dichotomy: either man or money. Sure it is a vanity the pursuit of money as an end in itself. How pathetic when the master serves the slave! Money and all material in this universe were made to serve man. Man is the master and his needs are the end. Money is just the means to reach those ends. Yes I am talking politics although I sound like a preacher. When we bring up the distribution of wealth as a subject that matters, many capitalist pigs object and lose interest in the debate. All evil that you see on earth is because some people have it and some others do not. Is it because the ones who have it are smarter, harder working, or even better looking? Most of the time it is not. Many so-called religious fanatics who proclaim to be on the straight path do not give a darn about the poor, yet they are willing to debate whether abortion is right or wrong categorically while at the same time present themselves as war mongers. Do not get me wrong, I am against abortion too, but I detest the hypocrisy which reflects only an ill twisted soul. How could you be so compassionate as to protect a fetus which is debated to be a human yet and have no difference to killing millions of people in the name of patriotism? The bitter truth that we try not to admit is that our leaders are mere reflections of us. They are corrupt because we are too. We do not like the Pharos because we resent not being one! Sure we need to reform our system of money and drive the money changers out of the temple using the stick if we have to like David put it, but what about privatization of our government? If we privatize our government and put it in the hands of folks like Black Water and Halliburton, then what is the point of money reform? We are just helping them to steal our gold rather than the treasury notes. Social justice is impossible in the free market atmosphere as defined by the Friedmanites. Naturally, there are people who are less fortunate than others. The most evident scenario is when a child is born of poor parents. Such a child is most likely to be trapped in the cycle of poverty than a child whose parents could respond to her needs. What does the government has to do with that? The government as our moral guardian is supposed to compensate for that if we truly proclaim to be a Christian nation. Christ came to cater for the broken wing, the homeless, the poor, the sick, and the oppressed even it happened to be a prostitute! Christ did not come to cater for Harod. Hi Truthseeker, (me too, by the way)
Jesus tipped over a few tables in anger towards the moneychangers, then a few days later was killed. We are STILL dealing with the same folks 2,000 year later. ..not unlike some presidents we’ve had or presidents of other nations and the wars that have ensued because of it.
Right now we have trouble occurring and brewing in a lot of foreign countries (not excluding our own of course), but Iran in particular is seeming more and more like the next likely target of the US Fed Govt’s aggression/Israel. Iran’s president wants to change the dominant currency from the dollar to something else. So naturally in the mind of an elitist, he becomes a target, and not for the reasons they say (nuclear bomb), but for the reason that the Iranian president is attempting to mess up the moneychangers (FED’s) game of control just like Saddam did, Kennedy, Lincoln, McFadden and others.
So no money, no politicians, no lawyers, no poverty, no elitism in the new world I envision! We will do things from our hearts. This will be spiritually advancing for us, an evolution of the human race. Money has been the inhibitor of our advancement for all these years and it’s time to end that and move up! That’s it. Simple. We do what is necessary, live in abundance (no scarcity), we give of our own personal talents, everyone’s contribution is valued equally because they are all needed, no one is greater or lesser. None of this bloodline, royalty, elitist, upper 1% crap….that they are better and more deserving than others is only in their own minds. None of rest of the population, the remaining 99% thinks so!!
People have been writing books about this topic for some time now, of finding a job they love and feeling fulfilled by it, rather than taking a job that pays the bills, but wherein we feel like just a cog in the corporate hamster wheel. We have digressed as a society because the talisman, “money”, has steered us away from our true values, from making choices that feel right and perfect for us intuitively because it allows us to express our own particular talent and creativity, to making a choice of taking jobs that give us the most money, or now, just taking any job. We are so far off from being aligned with our hearts, where God/Love is. No wonder big pharma has its opportunity to convince people to take this drug or that to overcome health issues that ensue when we are stressed by this imbalance, constant going against our own intuitive selves. Our personal energy is not what it needs to be in order to be a healthy society and world. It is this that we need to return to so we can experience the miracles in synchronicities in having every single one of our human needs met FREELY and also the opportunities to give FREELY. It will feel like being gifted by the Universe every day, not like graveling with the banksters as it is now. We just don’t need the banksters and gangsters. They have rendered themselves useless to us, as have our politicians for allowing it to get like this. They serve no good and useful purpose anymore. I believe we are spiritually advancing beyond any need for them and that all this crap has come to our attention in a big way, so we cannot possibly ignore it. Collectively we will finally step into our own power and lead ourselves!

I empathize with your heart felt concerns. I am a fervent follower of Christ, (unto my death) and I understand this desire to rid the world of “money”, and the inherent evils as you so eloquently expressed. However money is not the “root of all evil” as so many romantics would like to characterize it.
As a student of the Austrian School of Economics, we understand that money comes into existence by shear necessity, money is spontaneous in its formation whether it takes the form of Seashells, Salt, Polished Rocks or Gold Coin, money will always exist in a modern economy, it is inevitable.
Now the key difference between GOOD money versus EVIL money, is who and how its managed. If WE eliminate the FED, that would be a great starting point, eliminating all Fed Res Notes as the currency that enslaves the people to a corrupt policy of perpetual impoverishment must go away and WE then return to our Constitutional currency as in Article 10, minting of gold and silver coin will naturally return. Peoples wealth will no longer be stolen via Government grand theft dilution. And politicians can no longer impoverish the population with their “get rich social schemes” like sub-prime housing loan schemes ala Bawney Fwank.
The past 97 years of the FED banking has destroyed our natural and normal communal wealth system and given it over to the scoundrels of Social Engineering. Our thieving government now controls 39% of our GDP, as compared to 1913 when it was 4.5%
Its time we break the chains that bind us to this EVIL system of thievery!

Wow you guys have been making some really good posts here. I’ve been tied up with some business and haven’t been on as much in the last while and its good to see all of you carrying the torch.
I think that what we need to understand here, is that money can be an extremely good and beneficial thing. What it is, is an artificial means of exchange which facilitates people trading all of the useful goods and services they can provide for each other on a widespread scale for their mutual benefit and prosperity. Money is simply and artificial medium which exists by law in order to facilitate this, and if this is its single and only function, then it is exactly the means to maximizing the collective prosperity of the entire population by allowing them to trade for each others abilities. The money itself is of absolutely no consequence except for the fact that it allows them to do this.
Our problem in America is that we do not have money, we never have had any form of money in any of our lifetimes and except for those with an adequate knowledge of history no one in America or most other places in the world even knows what money is. Instead of money we have Bank Debt. Every single Federal Reserve Note, is not money and is not even a dollar. It simply represents a certain amount of debt which is owed to a private bank that created it and the only way our single and only means of exchange can come into existence right now is in the form of debt to a bank. Christine’s objection to money stems from the fact that what we understand as money now, is not money at all but simply bank debt, and as such it restricts our ability to exchange our useful goods and services with each other and progressively diminishes our prosperity in order to buy ever more power and ownership over our country, our resources, industry and over ourselves for the banks who create the debt. Were congress to simply do its job and freely create and distribute our public means of exchange for the simple purpose of facilitating the use of our natural abilities to create benefit for each other to the maximum extent that each of us was capable of, then it would become the most wonderful blessing which any of us could possibly dream of and would be exactly the mechanism to accomplish Christine’s dream of a free and natural exchange of each others abilities toward their mutual benefit.
It will be we the people who have to force this to happen, but if we do, then we will finally know what money is, all we know now is bank debt. If this is to happen it will have to be a result of the destruction of banks who create the debt as well, so that all of the money can be created and controlled by those contributing to our mutual prosperity and benefit, in other words “We the People”, and so that providing those useful contributions can be the only means to prosperity, and not manipulating the money itself. The money doesn’t matter, whatever form of it we choose to use doesn’t matter either, nor does its value relative to the exchange of the useful contributions it facilitates, only that it does this to the maximum extent that we can create them for each other.
I heard some statistic the other day where it said that 10 years ago, banks owned 17 % of the wealth in America, and today that percentage has gone up to 60 %. I don’t expect to be around much for the next while as i’m in the middle of setting up a deal to export and distribute my high end expensive technology to China through a contact i recently made over there. 5 years ago, this technology was getting into the hands of and benefiting a great many Americans and had for some time prior to that, but today if i’m going to survive it will be a result of selling it to the Chinese. Is anyone getting the significance of this in terms of which economy is now existing to serve who’s purchasing power and is anyone figuring out why ?. The Chinese have real state issued money, they want and need the technology just as Americans always have and they can still afford to buy it as no bank can crash their economy. Americans no longer can afford their own technology nor can they create it for their fellow Americans anymore, thanks to the sheer and incredible stupidity of not providing ourselves with money and leaving it up to banks to give us debt instead, so they can consume all of our wealth for themselves while contributing nothing to it. I see a lot of concern among some of the American population about China ending up owning ever more of America. If they do finally end up owning it, they will have come by it honestly and it will be simply and only a result of our own stupidity in not forcing congress by whatever means necessary to supply us with real public money and instead tolerating banks which create an economic system which consists simply and only of theft and fraud and exists to restrict instead of enhance our productivity for the sake of buying power for themselves.

I have not read the book you site and I probably should write a book with all that I see in this world and how different it could be. We have so much more potential that is being oppressed for the benefit of a few (they think). They, meaning the elite, govt, secret societies, etc. are actually depriving themselves of the fullness of humanity and this planet and what we have to give and what the planet has to give to the world with their agenda. Their agenda is very limiting, cuts off so much of life, destroys it actually….all in the name of profit, maintaining their corrupt methods to living, and their obsession with control over others. Their minds have been corrupted, no different than a computer file gone bad. It is their programming. And they push their propaganda onto the unaware, who basically have no mind of their own. The last frontier is to maintain your own mind, to have a mind. Like someone said of our school system “no child left with a mind”, so many are not able to use their critical thinking capacity, are not taught to develop it and this gives the advantage of the elite over the youth. Notice they have aimed their speeches and programs to indoctrinating the youth by breaking up the family, so both parents are working and my extend school hours so the govt has more hours in a day to indoctrinate. The bible is full of warnings to protect your mind, your thoughts. Through our thoughts is how we create the world we will live tomorrow. They are just that powerful!!
When a person has a Christ-like mind, there is no need for the content of the elite’s agenda. They could actually free themselves if they also adopted and developed the mind of Christ. Perhaps it is not in their DNA, their bloodline.
But we, WE THE PEOPLE have the obligation to be responsible for our own selves, the development of our minds, to use our creativity to firstly imagine the world we would like to create and live in, then share this with others to build the collective consciousness, a powerful energy towards creating it….and it will just happen and unfold before our eyes. If more people knew this is how we humans can change our world, more would be doing it with a great focused attention.

It’s about transforming the energy that is in this world to a higher level, into the new world that is firstly being created in our imagination, as any artist will tell you, then picking up the paint brush to create it so that it becomes our reality…becomes real. Yes I am aware that it is not the actual money that causes the problems in our monetary system, just as a gun isn’t the problem.
To take the episode with Jesus and the money changers to a higher understanding, we need to understand that money is not necessary to do what we do to contribute to society. In a new and better functioning world, we will do things not for the reward of money, but rather the sense of well-being from giving. Read the Celestine Prophecy by James Redford. You’ll see how the system works. When you are focused on giving from your heart, your mind is different, it is the it is in the realm of the mind of Christ. In that mindset you don’t need money. Many will be raising their energy to this level of Christ and the new world will lift up others towards the same. This is how we truly change the world. It’s not by fighting others because of artificially created divisions …race, gender, age, educational level, class, country, none of that will exist. The elite are trying their darndest to get people to do this way to derail them spiritually, lower their energy, put them in fear, fill their bodies with toxins via our food, vaccines, whatever they can do…….
because they know the power that exists and will exist, that will surpass anything they can do…that will derail their agenda against humanity to control and eliminate millions. This power, this Christ power within each of us is what frightens them most. There you have it…the light/dark battle that has gone on for eons.
When you do volunteer work, you discover the feeling we should have on our everyday jobs, that sense of meaningful contribution, of purpose, of serving others, of giving from our time and talents. This is what is missing in us through the degradation that has come upon us via the corporations, the governments, the elite. We are not robots. We are human beings with spiritual content!! This has happened over time but the evolution has put us on the wrong pathway, thus the pain and suffering. So back here on Earth, God holds all of us to a “material standard” (as distasteful as that is). Thus GOLD is the default currency for 5 millennium.

I wish that our problems with this old fart system of government were only limited to the gold standard issue. Even if we manage to restore that standard; we would not have enough gold to use as a circulated currency. We have less than 300 billions of dollars worth of gold in our nation. We have about 300 million citizens in the US. That gives an average of 1000 dollars worth of gold per capita. This figure is not symmetric as you may realize because some have too much and others have nothing. My problem with the gold standard has always been a philosophical one although it remains as the only viable option to walk out of this nightmare.
The problem with gold when the economy crashes and productivity hits it’s lowest, the intrinsic value of gold goes down as well. Besides, gold is a good idea for the ones who have extra to invest in it. Most people in this kind of economy and the worse which is yet to come live from pay day to pay day, not to mention the piling millions of the unemployed. I am not an expert on economics and my views on this subject are wholly intuitive. There got to be a better way to restore our economy.
If I had extra liquid to invest (which I do not at the present) I would invest it in farmland, natural resources that are renewable like solar energy, alternative fuel, horticulture, leather and fur industry, efficient living housing, and any thing close to good mother nature. I would stay away from the volatile technology which will be a luxury anyway in bad times. I would definitely change my life style and live thrifty. I would cut my expenses down to dimes and nickels. I would get rid of any credit accounts I have. I would learn new skills like gardening, cooking, house repairs and remodeling, and I would upgrade my education without having to worry about college credit. I would share my place with a friend or a relative and make the best of what I have. Everyone is different, but those are out of the hat general ideas.
On the macro level, I think local communities must start organizing, like churches, clubs, and associations and consolidate their resources. They should boycott and abandon banks and establish local non-profit credit unions. They should help each other out and forget about “Big Brother.” Medical care should be replaced by preventive medicine. No one should have to wait until they get sick and fall prey to the healthcare-insurance predators. With some daily exercise, herbal medicine, and proper diet and plenty of daily sun, water, and fresh air, everyone should be able to cut down their doctor visits.
The political struggle will take sometime to produce some fruits. It may be actually sooner than we think, but meanwhile, there should be a program in place to take care of a transitional stage. I hope that people will bind together and develop some compassion towards one another because the wealthy elite will be busy scheming new ways to capitalize on the public’s misery.

Many people just do not have a grasp of how serious the national debt is to us. We are about 14 trillion dollars in debt now. In the Bush-Bama administration alone which is only from 2000 until the present our national debt went up from about 3.5 trillion dollars to about 14 trillions. To give you some idea how serious that is, form 1910 until 2000 which is 90 years period, the nation incurred only 3.5 trillion dollars. In just the last ten years, we almost quadrupled our national debt. So how much money is 14 trillion dollars? Our annual national revenue is about only 2.5 trillion dollars. That means if we were to pay off our debt now, we will have to work for about 6 consecutive years, spend not a dime, and then hibernate for another six years without eating, paying mortgages, bills, consuming anything of value! This is not to account for the interest which will accumulate during the six years span during which we must come up with the money to pay the interest as well. As we speak now, we borrow close to 2 trillion dollars annually on top of the debt we already have. We only pay less than 300 billion dollars in annual interest on our debt. This is way less than what we continue to accumulate in debt. Since inflation is going up, the interest rate will also go up which means a higher minimum payment on the debt. Over 50% of our national debt is owed to the Federal Reserve and the rest is to foreign international parties. About 60% of the foreign debt is owed to International Bankers which one way or another is probably connected to the same global bankers network of the Federal Reserve! Most of our foreign debt is owed to China and Japan! Hallelujah! That means two things: Either we continue to honor our debt to these hostile nations for the rest of our future with a bigger payment ever increasing, or we decide to default on the debt and then blow up our “friendly” relations with them. If we default and regress in our military might, that means they will strike us one day and annex our territory and national resources to their nations for the debt we owe to them. So the only option we have is to stay on top of it when it comes to military edge which means prohibitive spending on our military establishment. Now do you get it? If we continue to borrow money to finance our military establishment, this only means feeding and beefing up the military-industrial-complex, which is mainly controlled by the Federal Reserve network of bankers…the criminal thugs who schemed the trap in 1910 in the Jekyll Island. Our national reserve of gold does not exceed 300 billion dollars which is probably housed somewhere in the Federal Reserve safe box. The world gold reserve is worth about 5.5 trillion dollars most of which is owned by the same network which owns the Federal Reserve! That is so lovely. So if we were to own all the gold on this planet, it will only pay off about one third of our national debt as of now! Are you getting depressed yet? The average working citizen portion of the national debt is about $80,000! This of course is not a static amount; it is ever increasing at a stunning rate that is geometrical since the year 2000. This is the NWO which the Bush senior preached and prophesized for us. We are all slaves to the unpleasant future which awaits us and our children. If this madness does not stop right now, we are all diving into hell. The bastards left us no choice: either you are in or you are out. So where are you?

Now, maybe you can understand how all the Central Banks are somewhat connected and why they work together.
From the early 1900′s till around 1990, the GDP, Population and wealth grew at approximately 3-5% annually. With the invent of electronic beneficial interest the item could be sliced and diced into many parts and each part would then be offered up and each part then would be insured by such as Credit Default Swaps which is nothing more that buying insurance on a horse race bet. This slice and dicing then allowed the monetary values to increase at nearly 30% annually while all the other factors still remained at a 3-5% annual increase.
I call it printed accounting on a balloon, the numbers keep getting bigger as the balloon stretches but the balloon is only filled with that of nothing but generated gin joint numbers. There is no gold or paper to back the bets.

I define the Federal Reserve as an illegal marriage between our government and a private interest with a life-long abusive spouse! I really do not care how the system works in details. This may interest an accountant that works for the system. All I know so far is that our Constitution forbids delegating the authority to make money and control the treasury to any private party. The Federal Reserve is one of the most dangerous instances in our history where privatization of the government was allowed, something we suffered tremendously as a result of. That’s why I am religiously against privatization even if privatization proves to be more efficient which I highly dispute. Place greed in any situation and you are guaranteed that the outcome is unpleasant the least to say. Privatization of our government is the dream of the neo-conservatives, the Zionists, and the globalists who do not give a rat fart about our welfare. Are there any alternatives to privatization? Sure. Marketization and sound civil quality control is a good alternative to the government waste and inefficiency, and even better than that a smaller government which retains less caffeine addicted employees with better computing and information tools. The paper bureaucracy is a waste and outdated. There are many ways to improve that. Anyway not to space out of the subject, the Federal Reserve was wrong from the word go. Everything about how it works becomes irrelevant and redundant to our political debate. It represented a clear transgression on our constitutional values. In general, the biggest flaw in our system of government is that we allowed private interest and the corporate culture to interfere with our political decisions. We brag on the separation of powers in our system of government, but it is just a joke. In reality this holiness of separation has been whored out by the aggressive financial elite in our nation. Other political lobbies benefited from this intrusion as well. If we want to start over, we must make it clear either through constitutional amendment or through federal law enactment that our government must end all private interest and control of our government, that all our bureaucrats are forbidden from receiving any financial contributions from any private entity or corporation or foreign entity, that election campaign of candidates be managed and sponsored through taxpayers money for the purpose of educating the people about the candidates. Each candidate should be allotted equal time of coverage to present their agenda though major media networks. Special interest groups in our system of government are a cancer that must be removed surgically. How are we going to do that? Unless and until we get enough people to support us, the question is useless.

The shocking truth is that our Fabulous FED has inflated the Notes so much that IF the Treasury was to SELL or EXCHANGE their existing gold stock, estimated to be 147 million ounces, into Federal Reserve Notes…
The 8.3 Trillion Fed Notes (M2 money supply) would exchange for 57,143 notes per ounce of Gold.
Ergo there is no practical way we can return to a gold standard by simple exchange, more directly, the FED needs to be ended and its Notes need to be disposed of.

Since 1913 our elected representatives have “gone along” with the deception of benevolent government is going to take care of its citizens.
However, we have finally reached the end of the Monetary Rope and the government can no longer honor its debts.
There is no SSN money, there is only massive debts and trillions of unfunded liabilities in the form of Medicare-Medicaid and trillions more of other pork barrel entitlements too lengthy to list here.

In short, you don’t want to hold USD denominated accounts, those will be the first to be destroyed by the sudden collapse of the FED currency.
Barter and gold-silver coin will once again become the means of exchange until another government organizes.

First and foremost among these is to fulfill their constitutional obligation to provide and manage a public currency which we all need to trade with each other and do so for our benefit and ours alone. We need them to maintain our system of roadways and other public transit facilities in order to facilitate the transportation of ourselves and the useful things we create for each other. We need them to maintain a rudimentary justice system. I suppose that some would say we need them to maintain our military and defend our country, but i think this would be much better accomplished by simply putting the second amendment of our constitution into effect in its intended form, Swiss style, where the citizens themselves were the military, all of them. Would mean completely dis-involving ourselves in the affairs of other countries, but we should do that anyway and our defense would be absolutely invincible. Aside from this, i can’t think of a single other thing which i need any form of government to do and necessary Government, is in and of itself, a very small and simple thing, provided they simply do the single and only thing necessary to make it so which they have abrogated to the Banks who make them big so they can establish the power which any parasite who consumes and produces nothing needs in order to sustain itself.
Seems like a simple thing to me, destroy the parasites who need to establish ever more power to maintain their existence, restore America to serve its Citizens who maintain themselves by doing something useful and don’t need any form of power to do so and all other problems go away.
Just as you say, not a single one of the little trolls, has presented one single argument as to how any of what they propose can possibly be of any benefit to anyone but their precious banks and big governments ? I’ve presented hundreds of such arguments myself, as have you and many others on here as well, but the only ones who have are those of us who oppose the power they worship and wish to establish. There simply are no facts, nor any form of sense, reason, or logic which can possibly justify their positions and thus they simply have none to present.
Bottom line, the American population is the single and only population in the world who has figured out the culprits behind the creation of big government before the power had been established to prevent them from doing something about it and they will be acting en masse and very soon to destroy that power that would create it, as they have simply had enough. They have made me very proud of them once before and i expect they are about to do so again.
Ron Paul is no longer a long shot for 2012 and i expect that we are going to see a massive upheaval of the current power structure by then as well, along with a chance to elect an entire senate and congress of others like him. Watch what happens over the next 6 months.

Fellow Americans
This blog topic must have the record for most entries on a single subject, “Sound Money”
I’ve read several and concluded that there are too many “rabbit trails” and conspiracy theories of evil empires. I’m almost afraid to look up outside for fear of seeing a “Death Star” hovering and ready to strike.
While some of these theories may have merit, the bottom line is that we need to get back to the fundamentals of Sound Money.
To Include:
1. Ending the Fed
2. Minting gold and silver Constitutional currencies again
3. Prohibit Fractional Reserve Banking schemes by private and public banks
Then and only then is it possible to remove the chains of corrupt monetary policy.

Advancements in science brought forward the computer and the electronic databases required to allow the paper frauds of history to move into the 20th and 21st century. Frauds requiring days, weeks or months in the past are now executed in nanoseconds.
There is not enough precious metal in the world to cover the “precious inflated monies” that the financial institutions have created. The gold standard limited the greed and by going off the gold standard allowed the banks of the world to create and perpetrate an even greater electronic fraud upon the people of the world.
This author has an issue with lobbyist for corporate America. Nearly every day in some news article you can read where lobbyists are sent to Washington to protect corporate America’s interests. Very clear here, those lobbyists are not there representing the people. Corporate America has the funds to send lobbyist to Washington for private consultation with law makers but for a citizen to request a private meeting with the lawmaker they elected, too busy, in Washington, etc. But, the lawmakers have time for a “Dear Constituent” communique, well worded to provide illusion that the lawmaker is working for the people.
One needs to ask, are our lawmakers listening to the voices of the people or that of the banks and corporate America. In today’s world of technology and communication beyond that of mainstream media, “the people know”. So, if there is any doubt in the lawmaker, November is closing upon us fast, vote.

Well, i would agree with this, with a couple of provisions.
In regards to # 2. As long as the currency can exist simply and only to facilitate useful trade for the populations benefit and serve to promote and maximize useful production instead of restricting that because of the supply of currency, fantastic. If gold and silver can be made to do this then the objective is accomplished.
In regards to # 3. Yes simply eliminating the concept of fractional reserve banking would go along way to eliminating the power which Banks have established over our currency and political system. This was invented by the goldsmiths well over 1000 years ago where they would loan out notes for 10 X the gold reserves they had and collect back real gold in return for their paper and this is banking and banking is fraud. I would argue that since the currency needs to be a public asset, which you agree is the responsibility of congress to create / provide, that the public should be entitled to any and all profits from the currency itself, so why not simply let congress and or state and local governments issue loans of the currency and fund their operations on the interest as Franklin and the colonies did, thus creating a tax free or at least nearly tax free economy in the process.

My three proposals are proposed limits on a system gone mad with self interests.
#2 It has been argued that Gold and Silver have become so scarce that there could be no “practical” exchange ratio to convert the existing monetary base into, short of an ounce of gold being worth 20,000+ Fed Res Notes. Intuitively I suspect that this might be true, not because a hard asset isn’t a good idea, but rather that the two precious metals, gold and silver, haven’t been vigorously mined to keep up with the demand for use as currency. In deed it may be that only Copper is in sufficient supply to act as currency, ergo an ounce of copper might REALLY be WORTH 5 Fed Res Notes, instead of only $3.39 per lb, given the FED’s massive counterfeiting operations.
#3 The gold smiths during the Renaissance originated fractional reserves banking but their ability to float that artificial credit was precarious and it was self limiting by virtue of its geographical arena. Not so with modern “cyber” currencies. Once governments liaisoned with private banksters, there were no restraints and the debauchery massive and unrestrained at the citizen’s sole expense.
Solution,
Demand Deposits = 100% reserves, preventing banks from making high risk investments with unsuspecting depositor’s money.
However Savings Deposits = Risk / Reward Managed Returns. Where Saver’s engage in risk /reward ventures with banks managing the pools of Capital Accumulation. Thereby the rewards could be matched to the risk tolerance of the Savers. Thereby Savings become Fractional Reserve expansion with “private” and not public trust currency, thus localizing the risk and reducing the default impacts.

I guess the only other provision to this is that we have to have the horse in front of the cart. In order to eliminate the corrupt monetary policy, we the people will have to through mass public action eliminate the power of the banks to corrupt it and to corrupt our political and election processes in their interests as well.
It should not be so, but the simple fact is that this is a matter of creating more fear in our representatives of the American people than they have of the banks so that they will act in our interests to eliminate it. Hence the purpose of the declaration and demand i’ve posted. If enough people participate at this point it will and then we will have it. Until then regardless of how much popular support Ron Paul or any other representative who would act in our interests might have, we simply wont get a chance to vote for them, with the last presidential election being the example. We need to take control of the system first so that we can.

Sadly our political system has become a “self serving” special interests. Big Business Cartels support the Republicans while Big Labor Unions support the Democrats. And NO ONE support the middle calls.
Libertarians are for the “Common Man” and Ron Paul is just such a common man Advocate-Leader. But I am depressed that Dr. Paul will likely remain the “voice crying in the wilderness” because his cry for Freedom isn’t loud enough to make a difference in this bi-polarized political arena.

Yeah, were both understanding the problem and agreeing on what needs to be done about it too which is simply return the American political system and economy to the service of the American people. We may have different views of what the ideal form of currency might be, but as long as whatever we use can exist for our benefit and to maximize our useful production and prosperity then its served its purpose and i think we’ll both be happy. I’m also happy with your idea of tolerating private investment banks/firms, as long as the primary control, issue and loan of the currency is in the hands of the population. As long as they and their clients are the ones taking the risks to generate profits with their own money and it is restricted to this, it shouldn’t pose a threat of any form of power being established over the public means of exchange so we should be fine there.
I really do think per discussions between Jim and myself and the demand and declaration which i posted and he motivated, that we have the means within our hands right now to start this process if enough people participate in the effort.

The bottom line here is that were dealing primarily with corrupt politicians, who are simply motivated by greed and power and are hence serving the banks, cartels and special interests who helped put them in power for this purpose. Those who are not corrupt have been for the most part bullied into complying with the current power as they can’t see any alternative to this.

If we can simply get this thing circulating among the public so they can participate in the effort to the extent where both the senate and congress are being flooded with tens of millions of these demands/declarations over the next 6 months it will sufficiently exacerbate the already existing fear of the population in the corrupt politicians and instill enough courage in the ones who are not, to begin acting in our interests. Also note what i stated about something like this giving Ron Paul the leverage to finally force a full and immediate audit of the Federal Reserve.
Anyway, i’m seeing some really good hope here and i think this is the means to it. I’m guessing that its in the hands of about a million people at this point because of my ex wife alone and i have several other friends engaging in a massive effort to get this into distribution through several organizations they belong to (geometric progressions are wonderful) If we can get a hundred or more people on here participating in the effort as well then before too long the entire population will have been exposed to it and have had a chance to act on it. If so, we are going to see a massive upset in our favor in the November elections and i expect that in 2012 we will be electing Ron Paul as our president as the initial straw polls in the previous already indicated that he was whom the people wanted and their hatred of the banks and the current establishment has been multiplied x 10 since.
He’ll have my vote and yours as well and if we the people act on this i’d bet money that we’ll both have a chance to vote for him too.

Well the purpose of the demand is to increase the already existing terror of the population within the current political establishment to the point where their fear of us becomes greater than their fear of the banking system and they will actually begin to fulfill their oaths of office and do this for us. If it works, then this is all we need to do and if enough people participate in this then i think it will. If not, then we are left to either trying to organize an economic rebellion where everyone would just stop paying all at once, or letting things progress to an armed revolution, which is something that a vast and ever increasing number of the population already seem prepared to bring about.
I’ll repost from a response i wrote on another one of the blogs here which should be self explanatory and Jim and me already had a similar discussion further back when we were discussing the idea of the demand.

I probably understand the mentality at work in the minds of the politicians who are complicit in this much better than most Americans, as i have already lived through the end result of what our politicians and banking system are trying to accomplish here. The single and only thing which is greater than their insane craving for power and their need to bully, control and victimize the population in order to make themselves “FEEL” like a great and powerful man or woman, is their fear of those whom they would make their intended victims and of what they might do in retaliation for this. This fear still exists even when they have managed to completely disarm the population and establish a socialist police state where the people are subject to the complete and absolute power and control of that state and they spend their entire lives trying to invent more laws to try and eliminate every single possible threat that any member of the population could pose to their power, no matter how small it might be, as their fear is just as constant and never ending as their craving for power and control.
The United States Government, has it in its power and has the constitutional authority at any time, to put a stop to the theft and fraud and replace our current currency and economy with one which is designed to serve the American population, as opposed to a parasitic infection which simply consumes their productive effort and resources up until the point where there is nothing left, as it always has within our lifetimes. The United States Government is living in absolute terror of the American population at this point, because they have not yet managed to disarm the population nor establish the police state where they can attempt to enforce the absolute power and control over them which they desire. The single and only thing we need to do at this point is increase this fear just a little bit, to the point where their fear of us becomes greater than their craving for power and their sense of obligation to the Banks for having put them into power and it won’t take much to do this, after which they will be acting in our interests simply out of their fear of us.

If we can hit the senate and congressional offices with several million of these over the course of the next few months we will have the result we need. If its properly promoted its more likely to be 50 or 100 million. James motivated the action and i came up with the wording, so now its up to everyone else to do their part and make it happen and only we the people, each using our own individual efforts on behalf or all the people can.

I think I understand your approach. It is worth trying to send a copy of the demand to the Senate and House of Reps, but I suspect that they would take us seriously. There are many indications—serious ones that the government is aware of a highly potential revolt in the near future especially when the course of the “greatest depression” as Gerald Celente terms it starts its course. Yes people will wake up when they start living on the streets with more than few million homes vacant all over the nation. The plan as many resources report is to fill underground and secret detention centers with the rebels. The following is an interesting report from BrasscheckTV:

I live in Denver, and there is another report about an underground structure beneath the DIA which is suspected to be another major holding, hiding, detention facility. You probably heard the Tea Party nominee talking about detaining the poor to put them to work. Very sticky idea which could hide behind imminent preparation to put away the poor revolt that is coming! As they say, the weak can not make demands; we must have something to fall back onto. I have some ideas that I would like to share with you that might be just as effective on the long run. I am with you that there is no way around confrontation eventually. The thieves who robbed our nation for almost a century must be driven out with the stick as you eloquently put it, but the stick must be a thick one with a strong arm that is holding it. The folks up there who secured the tight grip for almost a century and tricked or pimped out our bureaucrats to shut up for that long are less likely to run away from the stick. They will strike back violently and use our sons and daughters in the law enforcement agencies to extinguish our fire swiftly. We must convince some of our senators and house reps to sponsor an investigation into the Federal Reserve constitutionality, the bailouts, the tax cuts on the wealthy, the sham wars, and many other issues of great magnitude. I know at least two Senators who might be ready to take that leap. Senator Paul and Kucinich. Why do not we contact them and feel their water on some of these issues in promise of public support? If you could draft a formal request for investigation and email the supporters, that might be a good start.

No, actually I’ve been viewing the posts and enjoying the battle from a distance between you, Forest and Fred. Keep it up my friend. You are doing great.
I just wanted to chime in at times when some of the Texas history pops up. That part means a lot to me. Not that any of the rest doesn’t.
All of you posting on this site keep me realizing we do have a chance in this battle. Even if the bad guys want to distract.
I am a shout away, if ever needed. Seems we all have a part in this, no matter what area of the battlefield we are on.
I see you met James. This is a man of intelligence. I have spoken of him many times in my attempts to let those know I have a great teacher.
Keep it up, sound the horn, and we’ll come running.

Hi again Alvie;
Okay so James is the one who’s been collaborating with you on this, that’s fantastic and i’m glad i’ve finally had a chance to meet him on here too. What you say of him is obvious and he also has a wonderful talent for planting some very productive seeds, as he did with myself a few days ago. I think we’ve all been doing this for each other too and the ideas have been progressing and developing through our discussions on here and those who have just been reading and putting the ideas into circulation in front of the population for them to understand have an equal contribution as well. All good things originate with a few thoughts from a few people, but its all the rest who come to understand them and agree with them who make them happen and are equally essential to and responsible for what is accomplished.
The good thing is that now i think we actually have a very good chance of making them happen, simply, easily, quickly and painlessly too. I’m off to my friends for dinner shortly, but i’ll be posting the “Horn” late tonight. If enough of you help pass it around to the extent where every American has a chance to blow on it, i expect that we will have the final result we need before long as well.

Its good to have you back, been missing you
Yeah, i’m quite familiar with the history of this and both the courage of the men at the Alamo who stood their ground right to the very end and the brilliance of Sam Houston’s divide and conquer tactics in finally defeating Santa Ana and securing the state of Texas, should make anyone very proud to be an American and even more so to be a Texan as is the case with yourself.
I guess what strikes me the most about this, would have been the extreme pain and anguish going through Houston’s mind when he knew that he could not come to the rescue of the Alamo defenders without sacrificing the final objective of freedom for Texas. For myself i simply cannot imagine anything more horrible than the position he found himself in at that point.
As you say, this is Texas and the people of Texas also demonstrated the spirit of courage and sacrifice in establishing freedom on which America itself is founded in no uncertain terms.
As James said in his response to my last post, “Remember the “Alamo”, remember “Pearl Harbor”, one day we shall remember “Bank Fraud”. Two of these enemies have been dealt with, we will deal with the third with the same will and courage which has been demonstrated time and again by the American people and none of these enemies shall ever threaten us again.

One must remember. It was the Alamo that was the standing point of the brunt of the Mexican army, but it was San Jacinto that helped heal the wounds of those who chose to stand their ground and gave their lives for what they believed to be right.
Sam Houston knew these brave men, the Texians, did not die in vain, therefore the battle cry “Remember The Alamo!”. It took eighteen minutes to put a President, Antonio López de Santa Anna in his place, and we have remembered the Alamo ever since. Not only Remember the Alamo, but “Remember Goliad!”
