Look, we are bankrupt as a nation. Our army marches in Chinese boots, while our air force flies on Saudi oil. We cannot continue to enforce a Pax Americana while our southern border allows illegals and terrorists to pour into our country. And we certainly shouldn’t be footing the defense bill for countries with whom our industries compete in the global marketplace. Bring our soldiers home. Secure America first.

What is Blowback?

If you hit someone and kill their family, they will hate you and probably hit you back in the future.

That’s what blowback is all about. It seems like such a simple concept, but many of Ron Paul’s opponents for the Presidency vehemently denied its validity.

They proclaim that what our military does abroad has no effect on how the citizens of the world feel towards us. The 9/11 terrorists hated our wealth and freedom so intensely that they sacrificed their lives to prove it? (Of course, our government bombing their countries, propping up their dictators and supplying their enemies with money and weapons had nothing to do with it…)

Instead of securing our borders, we’ve been planning, initiating and waging wars of aggression. Our military is spread thin all across the planet, yet we remain involved in dangerous power plays that unnecessarily put the lives of our soldiers at risk. And we brazenly squandered the wealth of our nation as if there were no tomorrow.

It doesn’t make any sense unless you consider increasing the profits of the military-industrial complex to be in the “national interest”, no matter what the cost to the rest of us may be.

America first. That is what Ron Paul‘s national defense proposal is all about. And with America he means all Americans, not just the elite. If elected President, Ron Paul will continue his efforts to secure our borders, safely bring our troops back home, and finally overhaul the intelligence apparatus in cooperation with intelligence professionals rather than political opportunists.

Ron Paul loves America. He is one of the very few true patriots left in Washington who are actively working on protecting our freedoms, our lives and our dignity.

    Absolutely the funniest joke ever……ON US !!!

    * Let it sink in.
    * Quietly we go like sheep to slaughter.

    Does anybody out there have any memory of the reason given for the establishment of the DEPARTMENT OF ENERGY ….. During the Carter Administration?

    * Anybody?
    * Anything?
    * No?
    * Didn’t think so!

    Bottom line … We’ve spent several hundred billion dollars in support of an agency …the reason for which not one person who reads this can remember.

    Ready???????

    It was very simple ..

    And at the time everybody thought it very appropriate…

    The ‘Department of Energy’ was instituted on

    8-04-1977

    TO LESSEN OUR DEPENDENCE

    ON FOREIGN OIL.

    Hey, pretty efficient, huh?????

    AND NOW IT’S 2009,

    32 YEARS LATER …

    AND THE BUDGET FOR THIS

    NECESSARY DEPARTMENT

    IS AT

    $24.2 BILLION A YEAR

    IT HAS

    * 16,000
    * FEDERAL EMPLOYEES
    * AND APPROXIMATELY
    * 100,000
    * CONTRACT EMPLOYEES

    AND LOOK AT THE JOB IT HAS DONE!

    THIS IS WHERE YOU

    SLAP YOUR FOREHEAD AND SAY

    ‘WHAT WAS I THINKING?’

    Ah, yes, good old bureaucracy…

    And NOW _ we are going to turn the Banking System, Health Care & the Auto Industry over to government?

    May G o d Help Us !!!

    Keep this one going….

    P.S….Nuclear waste is being put in all USA manufactured ammunition used in Iraq,Afganistan,and Gaza strip. It’s called DU/Depleted Uranium. USA has used 480 tons of it in Iraq alone. Equivalent to 4 Atomic bombs of radiation! That country is totally radioactive for billions of years…so they might as well fire all the Prime and Subcontractors to rebuild Iraq, plus it would save the taxpayer $860 billion of our money that they have used and wasted by paying 80% of the money to foreign workers, while we go jobless and pennyless. The Wartime commission is having hearings on the misuse and abuse of those dollars now on C-span. They should stop using our money to pay for foreigners to collect while we go jobless and pennyless. We need our own nation rebuilt and we need those jobs. They also need to Be prepared to treat all of our USA soldiers for cancers obtained from being exposed to that amount of radiation! If you want to know more from those in the know…go to YouTube and key in DU bombs……..Doctors and Scientist have the facts…….and will show you the birth defects that the Iraq children are being born with and also the people themselves are growing huge tumors on their bodies…….I just wonder if that is why so many of our soldiers are committing suicide? They know they are going to come back “radiated” and if they get their wives pregnant they may too be having children with birth defects……….The USA is going to need to take that $860 billion to treat us with it for the new Healthcare program they want us to fund now…..They get those regulators on their and they all play dumb and don’t know where the money went or why the projects aren’t finished yet…..
    for more…….

    Six months since taking the reins, the Barack Obama administration has met its primary objective. It has swiftly ramped up the murderous imperial agenda inherited from Bush-Cheney while the masses, pacified and deceived by the appeal of the Obama image, pay no attention to realities.

    No attention to the fact that the Obama administration’s global war strategy, which puts Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Latin America, and other regions into new military-intelligence crosshairs, promises the expansion of global instability, resource conquest, and “war on terrorism” ruin.

    No attention to the fact the Obama administration is loaded with elites who are as dangerous and corrupt as those of the preceding administration.

    No attention to the fact that nothing has “changed” except that there is a “rock star” figurehead sitting in the Oval Office who is smart and not stupid; calculating rather than blatant.

    The destabilization of Iran, a product of massive US covert operations (and overt political manipulation) continues unabated, built upon the pretext of “restoring democracy”—a “stolen election” hoax, and an aggressive “color revolution” spearheaded by Anglo-American surrogates, aspiring puppets, and hordes of intelligence assets and so-called “liberals” touting “democracy”. The Iranian corridor remains critical, for the control of Central Asian and Middle East energy, and the Anglo-American empire is intent upon controlling it.

    A new bill suddenly appears: HR 2749

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LGZL6q-3LOw

    HR 2749 is a strange bill in many ways. While the other “food safety” bills have been around since winter, allowing for much public discussion on the internet, HR 2749 has only suddenly appeared. It is a mutant conglomeration of the worst of the other bills, with the addition of one very original part – martial law.
    When it was a draft, it was Waxman’s bill. But once given a number, it became Dingel’s who already had a “food safety” bill, HR 759. So Waxman got none and Dingel got two. (Was this because Waxman, being Jewish, was a hideous choice to introduce a bill with Codex in it – designed by the Nazi pharmaceutical companies that funded Hitler, provided the gas for the gas chambers, experimented on prisoners with vaccines – and is expected to kill millions?)

    Get on the horn. Make some noise.

HR 2749 does not address the underlying causes of food safety problems, including industrial agriculture practices and the consolidationof our food supply.”

      “…Amish and Mennonite food producers having to register would thus be faced with a choice of violating either their religious faith or the law, while other food producers could face added expense and problems if they do not have the necessary technology. Failure to property register would constitute misbranding and would be a violation of the law.”

        Those in charge of our financial system, the government and the FED, are employing tactics of manipulation that lead to the opposite of a stable economy. Many more by the day are not trusting either our government or the FED. Many see the destructive force of the colusion between the FED and our congress, and other nations to work out a different agenda than the one our constitution declares.

        When Hillary and Timmy reached an agreement with China that China will start buying some of its own crap, there’s a reason for that…America and Americans are broke. It’s really not much of an “agreement”, it’s more of an “understanding” that this is the way it is….because its a bankrupt America, a natural consequence to what the FED is doing to our monetary system, to what Wall Street has done to Main Street.

        Now, on the other side of the “agreement” or “understanding” is that China will start receiving imports/goods from America? Hmm…now WHAT will we import to China? That’s a real head scratcher, itn’t it?

        And we will impose tarrifs on China’s imports. The money we will receive, the tarrifs, will go to pay off the debt to China that is impossible to repay? I see, just a bit of bookkeeping. Lower the debt, create inflation, maybe hyperinflation, so our dollar pays off less and less of the debt… This must drive “the bookkeeper” absolutely nuts!

        Their meeting must have been very similar to a poor married couple trying to negotiate out their mortgage loan with their lender. America has the same symptoms as someone who faces foreclosure.

          1. We are broke because of our TRADE DEFICIT. This is because of government policy, not the fed. The fed doesn’t spend money overseas, we do.

          2. We will not impose tariffs on Chinese goods, although I would like to see that. They have stressed that many times.

          3. High increasing debt comes from a loss of savings from goods we import.

            So too would Americans make money from receiving loans from the FED, except in 2007 when they lent the money to Australia, our financial corporations were quite busy and in the midst of a grand heist of their own, one that froze lending and created distrust in our financial institutions.

            The FED is not dedicated to America.

            I worked for the small business development center and businesses were folding, the state run community college had a massive layoff. I worked in real estate and buyers disappeared and mortgage companies folded, layoffs.

            We are taxed unto death, literally, periodically and systematically. Taxation has been going on for a very long time, 1913-14. The government is diversifying and adding a new revenue streams, insurance premiums and fines! Oh, and inflation, the “unseen” taxation technique.

            Our government is not dedicated to serving us.

            Even though the government is heavily reliant upon our innovation, our paycheck deductions, our money, they do as they will. We need to stop feeding the corrupted.

            Again I say, We are broke as a nation because individually, our wealth is periodically and systematically stollen from us by our own government in a variety of ways and spent by gamblers, scammers, criminals and warmongers.

            The trade deficit is a part of our economic crisis, but it does not explain or point to the cause for the all of it. We are broke and cannot buy China’s craps, so that was an easy “agreement” to make.

            Made in America. Buy American. Primarily.

            We can have friendly trade with other countries, but we slip into co-dependency upon them if we do not produce, buy ‘n sell our own stuff.

            We need some of that money the FED lent to Australia so small businesses can start up here in America and thrive. And what we need most is for our damn government to get out of our way and stop thinking they are self-important! It’s pretty hard to run two agendas. One is unnecessary (NWO). Our founding documents worked just fine.

    Idiotus Maximus, Joe Biden

    MOSCOW — An interview U.S. Vice President Joe Biden gave to an American newspaper was front-page news Monday in Moscow, where his characterization of Russia as a weakened nation hit a raw nerve.

    Biden said Russia’s economic difficulties are likely to make the Kremlin more willing to cooperate with the United States on a range of national security issues.

    “I think we vastly underestimate the hand that we hold,” he said in an interview to The Wall Street Journal published Saturday.

    Joe doesn’t even realize that it is the back of his cards that are reflecting in his own eyes.

    A new report out of left leaning globalist think tank the Brookings Institute confirms an agenda to re-brand the long running effort to merge the US, Canada and Mexico into a Federal superstate akin to the European Union.

    In the Brookings Institute report, titled “Toward a New Frontier: Improving the U.S.-Canadian Border”, Christopher Sands, a senior fellow at the Hudson Institute, where he specializes on North American economic integration, suggests the Obama administration should continue the agenda of the SPP, but under a new name.

    “Despite evidence that NAFTA has been beneficial on balance to American business, workers, and consumers the argument remains vilified by many as an unwarranted move to embrace globalization.” Sands writes.

    “President Obama recognized this on the campaign trail in 2008, when he called for the renegotiation of NAFTA’s provisions to correct flaws in the original agreement. As a result, the Obama administration will most likely rename the SPP.” Sands concludes.

    The report also suggests focusing more on the integration of the US and Canada as a priority, before bringing Mexico into the equation.

    Those guilty of treasonist crimes should be tried and put in jail.

    You may recall that a federal court gave Saudi Arabian royals sued by the families of the 9/11 victims immunity from being sued. Not because there wasn’t any evidence of Saudi complicity in 9/11, but because it would interfere with relations with Saudi Arabia.

    Now, a U.S. court is shutting down the attempt by airlines – hardly your tinfoil hat types – to prove that the government’s actions were so egregious with regard to 9/11 that they override any mistakes the airline may have made.

      So what makes me delusional? A difference of opinion, an unorthodox view that doesnt fit with ur precious corporate media propaganda!! now ur really showing ur intelligence…
      There is an old saying that says, sometimes silence is the best answer… Well silence is falling on deaf ears in this case…
      Greg, sometimes its better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to open ur mouth and remove all doubt…

      Some people choose to spend their time researching all information from a non-bias perspective.. Others just devour the fabricated BS they read in papers and see on commercial television, expecting goverment and big industry to tell the truth.. Your living proof that flouride in water lowers IQ’s.. Get a grip of yourselves and wake up…
      So lets waste more time criticising each other over differing opionions and forget about whats really going on…

      Where was I when 911 was happening?.. Why, warm in my bed, along with the rest of the terrorists of course… Anyone who thinks terrorists or the non-existent Al Qaeda organization had or has anything to do with attacks on Western countries has, in my opinion, absolutely no idea whatsoever about any real current events.. Because if you believe the whole 911 terrorist story, although entertaining, then you would believe just about anything..
      Next you will try convincing a blind man that vision is over-rated… Or that NASA hasnt been back to the lunar surface in 40 yrs because it was too boring and not because they found what they were looking for the first time…
      Why dont u go pack ur bags, pick up a rifle and invade some country, kill its innocent civilians, then sing ur own praises for doing it so well… Then turn to ur comrades and ask them if they know why ur even there….
      Seriously people, stop drinking tap water, its completely destroying any chance you have a producing an intelligent argument…
      So.. while I am watching re-runs of fantasy island, and contemplating if the masses are ever going to awaken from their slumber, I suggest that you close your eyes a bit tighter since there closed anyway, and reach out in front of you and grab that curtain thats been pulled over your eyes before its too late… Although, for most, that time has been and gone…
      A wise man once said, Some have it, Some dont, and some will never know what it is……
      Which category do you fit in…
      Blind, submissive, docile, subservient slave….
      or Independant, open-minded, original thinking, free man……

      Hmmmmm, maybe some dont have a choice after being beaten into submission and made comply.. How dare you speak out or question the status quo.. get back in line and obey…… yes mum…

      Please forgive the sarcasm, I dont intend to portray malicious behaviour,, just trying to make point…
      All the best
      Peace I AM

    There is no enemy. We dont need a military.. The money that is spent on military activities could feed the world. All religion is false but people have the right to choose their own beliefs, not have them forced upon them or killed for not assimilating.

    When u understand the true nature of the universe, it is ludicrous to suggest that we are the only intelligent life in the universe or galaxy for that matter. If and when (if not already), an intelligent race of beings visited earth do u honestly believe they would be Christians, or Muslims?? I suspect that the concept of ownership or exclusivity over God would be quite absurd to an evolved society..
    At some point there comes a time when we must realize that there is an ultimate truth governing the universe. Putting our faith in books written thousands of years ago is a bad joke. To think that God stopped communicating through and to human beings all those years ago is another bad joke… God cannot and has not ever stopped communicating to us and through us… It simply cannot as it is not separate and is one of the same. We are God, there is no separation. God didnt stop talking, we stopped listening..

    Anyone that has any doubts about the infinite Oneness of the universe and the absurdity of religion has completely forgotten their intrinsic inner connection to the divine source that permeates, penetrates and fills the interspaces of the universe, (yes, us too). The truth that has been hidden is related to the Pineal Gland (3rd eye) in the centre of our brains. Research this endocrine gland and u will surely uncover the most amazing truths about how we connect to source. This is a topic not suited to the existing discussion, and is quite detailed and lengthy, however it is partially related.
    If people knew the truth about this gland and managed to have a guided DMT experience, they would put down their guns, bibles, stones, prejudices, racism etc and say yes to all life, including the parts that dont align with our own views. After all, people die in the name of religion, people kill in the name of religion, wars are fought in the name of religion and our legal system is based on Religious teachings.
    So even if ur not religious, you are faced with it constantly. We even swear on a bible in court… Who are we kidding here. How is a book supposed to make people tell the truth?… Oh thats right, threaten them with eternal damnation for lying on a book of god, and let them burn for it…. ha haha… yeah right.. Something smells fishy about that.. Hell – hot… i dont think so… God – light -warmth… thats better.. If hell did exist it would be void of all warmth and therefor must be very cold..

    But there isnt a hell and if there was then it must be God too as it is all the one life. No separation… We are never apart from God as we are a part of God.. So whats he/she/it to do… cut off its own nose to spite its face. doesnt make much sense to me… i certainly wouldnt punish myself for making a free choice..

    Anyway… if anyone reading this has family or friends in the armed forces, get them out asap… There is no threat.. It is all another part of a massive lie….
    Say NO to military funding and war.
    Thanks
    Peace I AM

      I agree with Greg. You must be living your own sense of reality. Were you alive during 911? Have you considered the countless attempts of attack from countries all over the world who would love to wipe us off the map? Have you even paid attention to the news relating to foreign relations in the past decade? We have dangerous, ruthless enemies.. and our military has kept that war from escalating to events like 911 within our own country.

      I bet sometime in the near future we will discover that the FED, this small group of elite bankers and their network, has funded many wars, both or all sides, has pitted one nation against another, strategically, playing a sadistic game with human lives over planet earth.

      They use a tool, a weapon in their case. It’s called money. It’s working.

      Several jerks here in our financial institutions created financial failures globally. They probably consider this an intentional success, a controlled demolition of our economy. Since it originated here in the US, no doubt there are ill feelings towards America, thus Homeland Terrorism Preparedness, except the real terrorists instigating the trouble are elite bankers, the FED.

      On earth, there is enough for everyone, yet we have not been able to share so that everyone has what they need. That would be peace, harmony. No matter how many wars countries have had, no matter how many times countries say we are “fighting for peace”, we have never been able to live in peace. “Fighting for peace” is an idiotic statement and philosophy. Look at it. Peace comes by being peaceful. We all have the same needs – food, shelter, water, air, to make a positive contribution, to be useful, to be loved and valued, to be healthy, happy, free… and yet the world is as it is.

    First of all i am a dual citizen,U.S. and Austrian which,at least in my own opinion :), has taught me too be more open minded and see matters from a different view than the average U.S. citizen(no intention of beeing degrading here).
    I totally agree with Ron’s blowback theory,which in my opinion should be obvious too anybody who possesses common sense.Also i’ve come too understand that he is not talking about isolation from the rest of the world, but cooperation carried out through diplomacy and trade,which is the only way.Not engaging in wars is a very good idea and for those of you pointing out the connection too WW2,i think this is something entirely different.
    The nazi regime was lead by a madman who wanted too conquer this whole planet and was also very delusional as he was an occultist who not only believed in an aryan race as such but in beeing the carrier of a the next step of evolution by raising his new race too perfection.
    This cannot,in my opinion, be compared too other dictators like Saddam Hussein,Franco or Stalin.They were terrible mass-murderers but fall in a different category.
    Last of all the idea of letting the people hold responsibility for themselves on regional basis(education,health care),reminds me of the concepts of a specific school of anarchism,which i find too be very supportive.
    I am only 17 years old,but i am very interested in history,politics and literature, and i think Ron Paul’s currently the only politically influential person that who is on the right way.
    I pay my respects too you,and i really hope too see you as a candidat in 2012.
    P.S:Replies on my post are very welcome,i’d relly like too hear your opinion.

    I think people are slowly smartening up, about the Private Owned Fed Reserve, and how manipulative they have been with America. Let’s back his bill 1207 before we’re all run by the NIF.

    the extreme Muslim will not stop until we are all dead or are pracicing Muslims…

    Those who would say I dont know much about Muslims would be mistaken. Ive read enough of various books to know what I am facing as a defender. I served knowing the crazy groups of the world will never rest until their agendas are a reality.

    Unfortunately, Islam has been used by more than just a few groups to impose HARSH realities around the world for millions of people. Many groups today use it as a basis to recruit and gain support for thier political agenda.

    Whether they truly want to turn the Western world into practicing Islamic nations or not really isnt the point — its the fact they want the power in the first place. They say they just want their land…but to think they will stop there is foolish.

    I never said all Muslim people are bad or that every muslim is somehow a secret spy bent on the will of the collective “muslim” agenda ….because even within Islam itself their are various interpretations of the book just as in christianity and the various denominations based on the biblical scrolls (or at least those one king decided to keep)

    Christians are no saints either — for many many years things that were very unchristian were performed in the name of “god”…those people perverted a faith just as radical islamists do now…the difference is in todays society we dont have christians blowing up schools and tourists in the name of christianity….

    The Spanish wiped of millions and converted millions of indians to christianity….many by force…

    But today we have to deal with threats that are in the present. Radicals using Islam is real. Are the so called “nice islamists” really doing much about it or are they washing their hands of it and turning their cheeks to “infidels” being killed.

    So far when approached to help capture those who would pervert their religion many muslims just choose to remain silent on the issue and only voice their disdain for the killings behind closed doors.

    The facts remain — were fighting muslim extremists daily from all over the world in Iraq. The majority of the threats arent even Iraqis, they are terrorists sent from the far corners of the earth. Iraq is the easiest place for a terrorist to confront a US military member and survive. Often because they only take one shot and retreat to safety before other members locate his position and end his life.

    Our current ratio is 13 terrorists killed for every one US service member lost. The small raids they have tried to put together have been met with the most highly skilled and equipped warriors the world has ever seen. They lose, which is why they run.

    If you allow evil to pool its resources it only grows in strength…terrorism is like cancer…caught early enough it can be treated …left alone its fatal.

    As far as the US not being the richest country in the world…
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_GDP_(nominal)
    Our GDP is number one by a LARGE margin…if it werent for the oil in the ground southwest asia would be an afterthought in the world economy

    Just because you have a few oil barrons in the land of sand it does not make them the financial powerhouse that the united states is…when the oil dries up their GDP will fall lower than it already is

    Our country has proven that a free and open market is a successful one…our open market won the cold war thru sheer ability of making money

    Its this very success thats made us enemies in places where people feel we are greedy and morally bankrupt. Their extreme religious beliefs and their poverty fuel their hatred for the people they hold responsible for their plight (namely us) whether thru economics or thru assisting other countries militarily — they hold us responsible for their failures.

    Standard recuitment is $10,000 dollars for a suicide bombers family memebers — a very large sum in these 3rd world countries — to promise them 1000 virgins in heaven, 10K for their family and being labeled a hero of the cause these young boys will blow themselves up — Do you think recruitment would be as strong if these kids were in a better economic position?

    I dont believe a “kill’em all” policy will work — its going to take more than just force — its going to take dollars and an open society.

    When these kids are exposed to freedom, western living and an economic outlook that includes a happy family life I think recruitment and support will dimish to a safe point — it can never completely go away because people may always feel a certain way but in terms of power and ability it will be as threatening as street gangs….which is another issue that fallen by the wayside..

    Thats a whole other thread though lol

      Crazy people with an agenda? When it comes to this subject you really do not know what you are talking about. Muslims in Iraq especially are going through a civil war, not only that but there is a foreign entity there who is not talking their culture or customs seriously. Marines storming disrespectfully into peoples homes? for what? Imagine you are a woman living in Iraq, since you are in your home, you are not wearing your head covering; all of a sudden, a group of American marines break down your door to make sure you are not a terrorist and ask questions. Respectfully, these men could have knocked and given the woman time to get decent according to her beliefs for their entrance and she could furthermore save her door by opening it for them. This kind of aggression and behavior has really happened; disrespect for civilians has turned a lot of them against the United States; honestly, how would you feel? I have know someone who was wounded in Iraq after seeing this exact kind of disrespect time after time. Part of the insurgency is due to some form of sectarian extremism, but a big chunk is coming from disgruntled people who have been disrespected by American servicemen, it is in this vulnerable state that they will join the extremists. How many people do you think have been treated like crap by the military out in Iraq? And we expect these people to just take it? Muslim extremism has been created by Western powers who have treated people in the Middle East like they are stupid and won’t notice.
      You think this is the richest country and that our unregulated capitalism has succeeded? How is your home loan rate these days? like your payments? Have any family out of a job right now? I could go on for days…….. Russia collapsed because their wealth system was tied to their government, it was destined to collapse; we did nothing really to help them along except for simply existing. We make dirty deals with dictators consistently, and yes, that makes us responsible for the plight of people in the Middle East. We supported the Shah as he was robbing his country blind of oil revenues, we support the Saudi government who is doing basically the same thing. Honestly, a happy family life in this country being an example for Muslims? No one has an in tact family in this country; at least in Islam you usually have a mother and a father living in one house. And if you dare say that women in Islam are abused and that is why they stay you are more disillusioned than I thought.
      In your threads you have not mentioned anything that would indicate you know anything about Muslims, or even the cultures behind Muslims. To understand Islam you must first understand that its roots are in Christianity; same creation story, same prophets up to Mohammad, and they have different sects, just like Christianity. Secondly, you must understand the roots of the sects (Shia, Sunni…). Thirdly, you must apply the different ancient cultures that adhere to Islam, every culture has put their own spin on the practice of Islam.
      Honestly you strike me as they type of person who doesn’t know any of these things.

      Oh and one more thing Sergio, we didn’t win the cold war because we had the ability to make money domestically. All of that money came from war torn Europe. The Bretton Woods agreement was signed after WWII and monopolized all production on the side of the US. Europe had no possible way of producing any goods and the US jumped on the opportunity to set up the World Bank, IMF, and GATT (which eliminated Tariff rights to Europe, and therefore established free global trade). This, compounded with the Marshall plan (1 billion dollars in aid; not only had to be paid back, but the money could only buy American goods…… 100% return rate 1 billion at a time) is what gave the US money, and we pissed it away by opening unregulated markets. We should still be that rich, but because we all live in our glass houses that are stamped made in China, Taiwan, Japan, and India; WE ARE NOT! So you just keep that in mind the next time you think this country is all of what it used to be.

    Revival not war is needed. I am not sure that too many know who Afrahat was but he was known as the Persian sage in the 4th century and wrote a creed that is highly similiar to the Nicean. I don’t understand how Christians are being brainwashed by neo-conservatives. Christians wake up and remember the Lord’s words on the sword.
