Ron Paul

Ron Paul is the only candidate who predicted and warned against the economic crisis, who understood and explained the reasons for it, and who offers a viable solution.

Ron Paul is the only candidate who really means it when he says he wants to bring our troops home and scale down our unsustainable and unreasonable empire.

Ron Paul is the only candidate who is serious about slashing spending and eliminating taxes.

Even though others are now trying to sound like him, there is only one Ron Paul. And there is only one candidate who can beat Obama: Ron Paul.

Congressman Ron Paul is the leading advocate for freedom in our nation’s capital. As a member of the U.S. House of Representatives, Dr. Paul tirelessly works for limited, constitutional government, low taxes, free markets, and a return to sound monetary policies. He is known among his congressional colleagues and his constituents for his consistent voting record. Dr. Paul never votes for legislation unless the proposed measure is expressly authorized by the Constitution. In the words of former Treasury Secretary William Simon, Dr. Paul is the “one exception to the Gang of 535″ on Capitol Hill.

Ron Paul was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He graduated from Gettysburg College and the Duke University School of Medicine, before proudly serving as a flight surgeon in the U.S. Air Force during the 1960s. He and his wife Carol moved to Texas in 1968, where he began his medical practice in Brazoria County. As a specialist in obstetrics/gynecology, Dr. Paul has delivered more than 4,000 babies. He and Carol, who reside in Lake Jackson, Texas, are the proud parents of five children and have 17 grandchildren.

While serving in Congress during the late 1970s and early 1980s, Dr. Paul’s limited-government ideals were not popular in Washington. In 1976, he was one of only four Republican congressmen to endorse Ronald Reagan for president.

During that time, Congressman Paul served on the House Banking committee, where he was a strong advocate for sound monetary policy and an outspoken critic of the Federal Reserve’s inflationary measures. He was an unwavering advocate of pro-life and pro-family values. Dr. Paul consistently voted to lower or abolish federal taxes, spending and regulation, and used his House seat to actively promote the return of government to its proper constitutional levels. In 1984, he voluntarily relinquished his House seat and returned to his medical practice.

Dr. Paul returned to Congress in 1997 to represent the 14th congressional district of Texas. He presently serves on the House Committee on Financial Services and the House Committee on Foreign Affairs. He continues to advocate a dramatic reduction in the size of the federal government and a return to constitutional principles.

Congressman Paul’s consistent voting record prompted one of his congressional colleagues to say, “Ron Paul personifies the Founding Fathers’ ideal of the citizen-statesman. He makes it clear that his principles will never be compromised, and they never are.” Another colleague observed, “There are few people in public life who, through thick and thin, rain or shine, stick to their principles. Ron Paul is one of those few.”

Brief Overview of Congressman Paul’s Record:

  • He has never voted to raise taxes.
  • He has never voted for an unbalanced budget.
  • He has never voted for a federal restriction on gun ownership.
  • He has never voted to raise congressional pay.
  • He has never taken a government-paid junket.
  • He has never voted to increase the power of the executive branch.
  • He voted against the Patriot Act.
  • He voted against regulating the Internet.
  • He voted against the Iraq war.
  • He does not participate in the lucrative congressional pension program.
  • He returns a portion of his annual congressional office budget to the U.S. treasury every year.

Back during the election I was saying, “This is what we have to choose from?” “Where are our heroes?” “Where are our George Washingtons, Thomas Jeffersons, Dwight Eisenhowers, the men of character, men you can believe in?” In the end, I voted for Ron Paul because I believe he is such a man. He is fighting for what he believes in, a true patriot. I also hoped that if enough ‘registered Republicans’ were willing to seemingly throw their vote away it would get some attention. At least Dr. Paul is getting a lot more media attention now that the things he has been saying are playing out in vivid color.

Dr Paul is by far the best, most qualified, most realistic, most capable presidential candidate this country has had since John F Kennedy and Abraham Lincoln.

No other Candidate has anywhere near the wisdom and vision that Dr Paul has. It is amazing to me that people think the other candidates even kind of compare to Ron Paul.

Well, Obama is now the President of the United States and has already been unwise. He’s made his first major blunder – at least it’s a huge blunder. The stimulus plan is insane. It de-values the dollar and puts us in more debt – two very bad things to have associated in the same sentance.

So we’re ass over elbow in debt, we have to pay it back with interest with money worth half of what we borrowed it at – OR LESS!

Anyone with any sense knows that printing more money is stupid – Doing that makes the dollar worth less. In the world market we can’t afford to do that. We lose our clout and our credibility. There was a glimpse of hope, that the damage and destruction caused by GW Bush, while almost irrepairable, would heal over time with a new administration.

However, the new administration displaying immaturity, lack of wisdom and no thought to the future – just a quick fix to look like a hero for the moment is totally selfish and childish.

Only someone with vast wisdom and incredible discipline as well as selfless leadership qualities would do the right thing. Someone with depth and a mature mind with instinct for whats best for the future could pull off the best solution with the least collateral damage in the future.

    Ron Paul

The only future this country has.

Where have I been? This guy is America’s version of Constitutional Superman. I pray this wonderful man runs in 2012! When I first heard him speak I thought I was dreaming. He is right on every subject; he actually cares; and he would make a perfect president. Washington, Lincoln, and Ron Paul! He deserves to have his name next to these giants! He is the true embodiment of truth, justice, and the American Way! Long live Ron Paul.

The above description says that Ron Paul is the leading advocate for freedom in our nations capital. After paying attention to politics over the last decade, sadly, it doesn’t seem like that says much…Ron Paul appears to be the ONLY advocate for freedom in Washington. Ron Paul stands alone in Washington and in my mind as the only politician that puts freedom, the Constitution and America before his own personal ambitions. He most closely represents the ideals I embrace and believe are truths as self-evident as the truths our founding fathers found important enough to fight for. He had my vote in ’08 and will have my vote and my undivided support if he ever runs again.

    Mr. Paul –

Please let us know if you are running for President in 2012 so that many of us average non-politcal Americans can support you by getting the word out to friends, families and co-workers! There are many of us who support you and I feel your overall voter base will grow tremendously during Obama’s term.

I just viewed a year 2002 video where Bill Moyers interviewed Ron Paul — discussing why he thought the proposed invasion of Iraq was a bad idea. What was fascinating to me was to look back from Jan 2009 and see/hear how right on the Dr Paul was — and to realize the tremendous depth of his reasoning as to why the USA should not make a ‘preemptive strike’ against Iraq. Dr Paul essentially predicted the trouble we’d be in today — with India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, and everybody else. Don’t miss this:

    Ron,

All the best for your 2012 campaign.

I think it would be so useful juxtapositioning comments you made in this campaign with your predictions to what is now becoming so true – in a way telling the electorate ‘I told you so’ – the one man who understands the true dynamics behind the manipulations and only you can carve a better destiny free from usurpation that is now so rampant that our hard earned wealth is being cleverly diluted by politicians through the bailouts that are no more than embezzelment of the average guy’s wealth and savings

If anyone can bring real change to America, it has to be Ron Paul. I commend you sir and I have great respect for you. You seem to have a wisdom that echoes that of Lincoln and a bravery that mirrors that of Washington. I am saddened that you are not currently our president and hope that you will run again in 2012. I ask that you continue spreading your message as do your supporters throughout this administration so that more people get to know you and your message. Then when the time comes in 2012, we can turn the tide and win. Like in your own words, you are a “Champion of the Constitution” and I pray that you fight for our constitution again in another presidential race. America needs a true reformer like you to get us back to our former glory.

Thank you very much and I hope you consider running again.

Thanks Dr. Paul, for rising voice against corrupt system. However, we don’t want to listen the true voices, because it creates a just society where everyone prosperous, where more harmony among the different religions, nations and cultures (Zionist). Moreover, if that happens, how we sell weapons; how we control the world ( IMF, WORLD BANK).

I companied hard for your elections, I convinced my family, friends, and neighbors to vote for you, and they did it. You did great job; however, there are more work need to be done from our side to spread your message across, and we will.

Finally, I pray that god bless all humanity (Ameen) and specially pearl like you who stand in masses against the brutal secret society.

Up until a week ago I was voting for “whoever would stop the nonsense in Iraq”. I thought my only choice was Obama. I can’t believe the Republicans are even allowed to run after what they’ve done to our country. My grandchildren will be paying for this war. I didn’t know much about Ron but am convinced that his guidance would be a breath of fresh air. The entire system is corrupt and needs someone that won’t just “play ball” with a wink-wink and a hand under the table. I’ve long known that the 2 party system doesn’t work. In my opinion, there should be no parties. Republican robots vill vote for whoever Rush Limbaugh tells them to. As long as there’s an “R” next to their name, they vote blindly without even knowing the issues. I pray that you’ll keep to your fight and prepare yourself for 2012!

Can a counter be attached to this web site asking how many would vote for Ron Paul in the election? Then everyone can see how many people would vote for him? He needs to see also. It would have to be a one count with a place where the individual can put his name or an identyfing number. All the counters on youtube are being interfered with. Shame on youtube! Maybe this will encourage others to look to Ron Paul this election and vote for what he stands for.

There is nothing to see on TV about him we all know this . I have just found out by word of mouth. I will do all I can to continue this revolution. A couple of ideas:
Have the Constitution on little Pamplets (like Ralph Nader had shown to the audience the other night on c-span) with Ron Pauls message attached, given out to his supporters with a voting ballot or a reply page on the web to get a count for Dr. Ron to actually see how many people will support him. We need him as our President. Everyone is counting on him and he said he would see this to the end. I will be writing him in on election day. Never give up or in!

50 years ago, a family used to be able to support it self on a single income from a non-specialized job. Today, we compete for factory jobs with illegal imigrants, exploited sweat shop workers in China and technical jobs outsourced to India all in the name of free trade that only benefit big corporations. All thats left are service jobs at fastfood and Wal*marts. Plus one job hardly pays the bills and taxes we pay, like the woman who told Bush she works three jobs in which he replied as “uniquely American”. This is not what I want to look forward to for our nation’s future, you have my vote Dr.Paul! God bless you!

I decided many months ago that I was so fed up with this coming election and it’s candidates that I was not going to vote. It was an informed intelligent choice. Not a choice to mindlessly vote with a party or vote for the lesser of two evils. I made this choice before hearing Dr. Paul’s speech addressing the very situation. I was discouraged and didn’t like the notion of throwing my vote away, but i thought to myself, “what is the difference between a vote for McCain or one for Obama?” Nothing in my opinion. So instead of being partially responsible for electing an incompetent leader, I decided to not vote at all. My friends of both parties would try to convince me that their candidate was the better choice and me not voting is a vote for the other party. TOTAL crap!!! I admit I’m not the most informed AMERICAN on all the candidates or policies, but I know what I believe in and what this country should stand for, and I also know that our current choices for the next President can’t deliver. I have recently tried to do my homework and become better informed in this election of slander campaigns, and I have come to realize that the only person I feel could actually make a difference in the White House is Dr. Paul. I am very cynical when it comes to government and corruption, and after reading up on RP and the choices he made to not accept certain benefits of his position made me realize perhaps there is a person of strong integrity that could lead this nation into prosperity. I have considered myself a “republi-crat” for many years for the true meanings of both words. I am very liberal in my everyday life and thinking, but very much agree with the ideal definition of a republican government. Not what it has become. I believe that Dr. Paul can lead us in the right direction if given the opportunity. For this reason, I have CHANGED my mind and I will in fact vote! I will also write in RON PAUL this election for President. We need to start a revolution of our own and take over this election people. Could you imagine the chaos if he won. It would be amazing. I just hope he would step up to the plate if it did happen. Let’s make a real difference AMERICA!!!!

It’s time to pay attention and turn things around. Republicans blame the Democrats and Democrats blame Republicans. They’re both right, they’re all to blame. Elect Ron Paul and that will be a start of change. Real change, not just empty promises. A vote is only wasted if it doesn’t go to what you truly believe in.

You are truly the most real candidate in this country. Please stay in. I will do anything to have you
Win. I am so sick of the news and barack and mccain. You have everything I need for a president.
Do not ever change, dont give up. I have searched and search on the internet to find out who fits me best and now I have seen the light. You could be the only person that could change this country for the better.

    Dear Dr.Paul,
I am 18 years old, and this November I refuse to try to pick the lesser of two evils. I’ve become very involved with politics within the last year because my generation is going to have to pay the price of todays mistakes. You are the alternative that everyone, especially my generation, is looking for. I have read all your books and listened to your debates and everytime the subject of politcs comes up, I spread your message. You are the only politician that I agree with on every single issue. You are the only hope for America, I just wish America would stop being ignorant and stop believing whatever the media says. If America is looking for “change”, an unexperienced socialist with unrealistic plans is definitly not it. You are the real change, the real answer Americans are looking for. Don’t ever stop trying, let your voice be heard and never give up. It’s never too late for the United States be the country it was designed to be, the country it should be.
    Sincerely,
    Bridget

Don’t give up yet, I am 18 years old and have spread your word to all of my friends and family. I truly believe in what you are trying to do, and I just wanted to let you know that you have a strong base of young supporters in central IN. Keep up the great work!

Hi. I’m 15 and i support Ron Paul completely. I am encouraging seniors in my school who are 18 years of age to vote Ron Paul for the right and only way to save our country. Before Ron Paul I was never into politics but when you see on tv how corrupt McCain and Obama seem, it makes me think what is this world coming to? We all need to spread the word and ideas of Ron Paul and let every vote count.

Thank you for trying to save our country,
    Rob Chiarappa

It seems you will not be president, but how about Treasury Secretary? Both candidates would gain huge points with you on their side!

Ron Paul is amazing! It is so refreshing to see a politician who is anything but. Dr. Paul is a true conservative constitutionalist and I know that unlike almost every other politician, he has this country’s best interests at heart. Thank you Dr. Paul for ending my apathetic view of American politics! Although I am very sorry that Ron Paul dropped out of the primaries, there is not a doubt in my mind that he will still have an amazing impact and influence on this country. I will continue to support him 150% and help the cause in any way that I can. Viva la revolution and God bless Ron Paul! :)

P.S. Is Dr. Paul technically still in the race? If he is, than it is imperative that I vote for him! We cannot let those puppets McCain and Obama win.
